I just wear shakos. webb likes to stay with tradition, so we have the same uniforms every 8 years. I'm not complaining- I rather like our uniforms. It's those cursed shakos I don't like. Walking onto the field for state, the strap broke, and it almost fell off standing at parade rest.
AH well...at least they're pretty? XD

Our school used to have those white q-tip looking things but luckily we never had to wear them...They remind me of MoJo JoJo.

hm... this year we are getting new uniforms, so our helmets are changing... before we had the roman type ones (why am I so stupid? totally forgot what they are called) with the 'shwoosh' plumes, but this year we are getting shakos (ugly, they is)... except for the tubas and euphoniums, they have berets... and valve trombones? Do they have berets or helmets.... Duh, I'm dumb tonight... I'll remember in like two seconds...

we had the black q tip ones. they were sexsay. dring the summer, we had these flat topped ones with a little feather. but were finally getting new uniforms 3nodding after 27 years sweatdrop its kinda. gross

Well, technically I don't wear a shako, but my band does. That's what I get for being in the pit... I was looking forward to the shako so much, too...

Our band has ALWAYS worn shakos. Except for the tubas (do we have a euphonium? o.O) who wear berets. whee This year, and for around...six years? We've worn maroon shakos lined with gold and fuzzy bright gold-yellow plumes on the top. We ended up earning the nickname "The Yellow (or Maroon) Q-Tips". But finally this year we're getting new uniforms, and if we donate at least $300 (the price of one new uniform) we get our old one. sweatdrop xd gonk Which means running around on Halloween with band friends dressed as band people. 3nodding heart (Our new hats are black and silver, bwahahahaha, with gray/silver plumes and we get GAUNTLETS. eek )
But speaking of things on one's head, during one game I couldn't find a safe place for my digital camera in the bandstands, so for the pregame show AND the marching show itself I stuffed the camera up inside my shako. It was weird. surprised sad gonk
