I think crystalsmuse's point is that it isn't your job to enforce the rules, it's her's. true people may break them, but normally things get back on track by themselves without people having to point out rule breaking. and if things get too out of hand, then crystalsmuse or one of the other mods will definately take care of it, esp if we pm them to let them know. Right, crystalsmuse?

Yeah but MY point is is that yes it is their job, but it shouldn;t be ONLY their job. I mean people should be following the rules in the first pace true, but you still need normal people with out moderated powers to be setting the examples, role models almost, and having other normal guild members just kind of say "hey you know our giuld doesn't like one word posts. We all respect it, you should too". There are 3 mods, who are not always on. But there are other members who are always on, its like catching them in the action, you can't catch a criminal without witnesses, evidence, and tipoffs. I mean mods don't seriously READ every single post, I do, and i sometimes catch things before Mods do, and i say something, so that the person is there to read it, befor the thread gets old.

Right, crystalsmuse? Yes, that's what I mean. And if you would like to REMIND someone of the rules, fine. I just don't want anyone to be rude or snotty about it, or try enforcing them. (Not that you're like that, Chloe.) BTW. Added something new to the rules. You might want to check it out. heart

All i basically DO is remind. I spend a lot of time in this guild, you guys know that, and I don't like to see it trashed with Spam and double topics any more then you guys do. I care for the guild too. I don't think that you guys should be complaining when other members DO remind people, then the person REMINDING them gets the boot for following the rules. While the other person laughs at the reminder and walks away with nothing, and goes on doing the same thing. True, its good you guys finally made punishments, but we shouldn;t have to do that stuff, if you guys don't always yell at the reminders only to have ourselves slapped in the face saying we are "backseat" moderating, if you just let little reminders slip by, then people will listen, but if it continues, and people continue to disobey the reminders, i think that is when you guys shoudl step in. I mean you guys don't have to "over power" the guild and yu guys shouldn;t be the only ones who are "enforcing". I mean you guys are like the guild "police" you guys step in when it is needed, you hand out the tickets, but you can work out simple things IRL with out the police, by saying stuff like "Dude, thats illegal" and sometimes they stop. Thats all i do.

Because people tak it the wrong way. They shouldn;t be getting upset at someone for pointing out that they were not following the rules.

Okay, I am not going to be able to be on as much as I have been for the next couple (or three) days. So I think that we should ask Adam to choose another mod who will be on every day, be fair, honest and will follow and enforce the rules without pregudice. 3nodding
It will help us all make sure at least one mod has been to every topic and that we're all staying up ontop of things.
Your thoughts?

It would be nice to have another mod. I mean other guilds have like 5 or 6 yet we only have two.
