Jess smirked as she saw the look Cirrus got when she spoke about her one friend. It was not a look Jess knew too well. Although she was no stranger to the twisted and often irritating world of men she had only really fallen hard for one guy.
Her smirk softened to a smile.
"A guy friend I take it?" She asked. No harm in giving her the option to talk about it if she needed to.

Cirrus laughed softly. "Was it that obvious?" she asked looking up into Jessica's eyes. "I suppose it's a good thing my brother's a guy and hasn't picked up on it yet," she sighed. "Do you know Kade Lowell?" she asked.

Jess laughed. "I know that look." She said putting the cup down on the table. "And I wouldn't worry about your brother picking up on it. He's a guy, they're too stupid to notice that kind of thing."
Grinning she pushed her sleeves up revealing the cherry blossom tattoo on her arm. "No I don't think I do know him." She said trying to think over the students she had met. "Is he cute?"

Cirrus laughed at her analysis of whether her brother would notice or not. It was true. He had just been angry that she had walked off without him and that he couldn't find her. He had had no clue that she had spent the day in the company of a guy she was falling hard and fast for. Cirrus noticed the lovely tattoo of the cherry blossoms and again her mind raced back to sitting in the park with Kade.
She blushed a little at her question. "Yeah... he's really cute," she replied a bit shyly. "Why cherry blossoms?" she asked, gesturing to the tattoo on her forearm.

Jess smiled at her blush. So cute and naive. No maybe She was just jaded, they could live happily ever after. She could have if she didn't make such stupid decisions.
She looked down at her tattoo and smiled fondly at it.
"Before I trained to be a teacher I went to a school for martial arts." She said thinking back to the beautiful dojo in Kyoto. "I was one of five girls and the only non japanese girl. They used to call me Sakura, I don't know why, but it stuck." She ran the fingers of her other hand over the pink blossoms. "This is the hand I use to draw my bow. It also has cherry blossoms on. It's a bit silly I suppose but it's a homage to my sport."
She paused again ans looked back at Cirrus. "You know they have a saying in Japanese. When translated it means 'to fall as flowers do.' Cherry blossoms are as beautiful on the tree as when they fall to the ground. They show us that when we fall we must do it gracefully and honourably."

Cirrus quickly shook her head. "It's not silly," she said. She thought it made a lot of sense. Her own mind flitting back to her own tattoo on her shoulder. It was a symbol to mark the unity she shared with her brother since the only other outward appearance they shared was their eyes.
She thought hard on what Ms. Montecelli had said. "That's so beautiful... but I'm not quite sure I understand," a puzzled expression crossing her brow.

"It's zen." Jess said covering the tattoo again. "You're not supposed to understand. More think about it." She gave Cirrus a wink, the actual meaning. To die an honourable death was a bit morbid to bring up in casual conversation.
"You've managed to find yourself a cute boy so quickly. I haven't seen one hot teacher around here." She laughed, hoping to raise the mood a bit. "Have you seen any...hiding out on campus?"

Cirrus gave her a coy smirk. "What about Yusuke? Everyone else seems to fawn over him," she replied to the rhetorical question, thinking of the PE teacher they had just left her brother and Ra with. They seemed to at least be friends.

Jess let out a loud laugh, louder than she had meant it to come out. Instantly causing herself to clamp her hand over her mouth.
"Sorry." She said, grinning behind her hand. "He's too sensible. Besides, Japanses guys are hard work. My last boyfriend was Japanese...waaay too complicated." She gave another small snort of laughter.
"Ahh well, it's a big school. i'm sure I'll be able to find someone to amuse me." Again she clamped her hand over he mouth and turned slightly red. "Sorry, that was a bit inapropriate."

Cirrus giggled at Jessica's reaction. She may have not had time to make many friends, but she was glad she had found someone she knew she could come talk to. She had a feeling that the coming weeks with Kade and Kayne would probably be very stressful.
"Don't worry. Your secret is safe with me," she smiled.

"Good." Jess grinned removing her hand and picking her mug up again. "Well, I suppose I should let you go." SHe sighed finishing her tea.
"Is there anything else you want to talk about or ask me about?"

"Just one more thing," she said softly. "Could I... Could I come talk to you if I really need someone? I've never really been real good at making girlfriends... or really any friends. I just know that.... if Kade and get a chance to maybe start seeing each other and Kayne finds out... I just don't think I might be able to take care of that all by myself." She felt a burden lift off of her chest. She had admitted she couldn't always handle her brother and that she would need help. It felt a little strange asking for help from someone other than her brother, but just like she wanted... it was time to start stretching her own wings.

"Of course." Jess said smiling. She wanted to give the girl a big hug and tell her it was all going to work out....only she wasn't really the huging type. "You can come and talk to me anytime and about anything. Sex, lies, rampaging brothers." She gave a wink and took both the mugs over to the sink to wash up. "My room is number 404. Though I can usually be found out on the archery range or in the Lit office." Placing the cups on the draining board she unplugged the kettle. "And I want you to know anything you tell me is off the record. It won't go beyond my ears. I know it sound odd, but I'd be happy for someone normal to chat with. Most of the staff here are so uptight."

Cirrus rose to her feet and straightened her shirt. "Room 404, Lit office, archery range," she mummered to herself so she would remember. She smiled and took her next comment as a compliment. "Thank you," she smiled and walked over to the door to leave.
