Taima rumbled in contentment as she snuggled up against her mate. He was so fluffy and cute! It was absolutely hard to resist him, and she felt herself insane when she even attempted to. He had, simply, captured her heart now and forever more. Nothing would ever get between them, and they would always be there for each other, through thick and thin.
Wagging her tail as Damu tried to get something more... masculine... from her, she merely smiled. "Cute.. I suppose strong. Fierce definitely!" she yipped, gnawing on one of his ears as she grinned stupidly. It appeared that she was only saying those things to satisfy him, but her eyes revealed the real truth. Tai really did think him strong and fierce, especially after that battle with his brother and the amazing skill in which he capture the fish with.
And speaking of fish... the female randomly glanced over where the fish still lay, motionless now that it had been taken hostage from its moist home. Poor thing.. it looked rather unappetizing now that it had time to dry.
"Haha, you gonna eat that?" she laughed, still snuggling into his soft yet wet fur.

A rumble of laughter emitted from his chest as his mate attempted to convey more masculine adjectives towards him but, slowly, he was begining to realize that, perhaps, he wasn't all that intimidating. Damu was a chivalrous, loyal companion whose heart was set upon his one true love, Taima.
"Fierce," he replied with a yip as he lerched upwards, breaching slightly as he licked her muzzle and pawed affectionately at her face, "to others but a big, fluffy mate to you." It was the truth; the white and black swirled male was an intimidator through the eyes of those who did not know him but, in the eyes of his mate, he was a gentle, kind-hearted soul who sought love, affection and comfort. He and Taima were, to say the lest, soul mates...they completed each other.
His maw slid into a wide grin as his emerald orbs glanced over towards the deceased fish that laid not too far away from them. After sitting in the sun for this long the fish wouldn't be quite appetizing...it was rather a source of food that one would be desperate enough to consume. Thankfully, they could have another go and spare their stomachs from that pitiful fish.
"No way!" he exclaimed as laughter still spilt forth from his maw. "You'd have to bribe me to eat it now!"

Taima laughed at her mate happily. He was really fluffy, but then she also figured that he wasn't exactly a cute and cuddly teddy bear. There were certainly times when he would probably be able to intmidate even the largest of bears if he had to. He had shown a great deal of courage and fierocity when he had fought his own brother, and that had been merely out of defense. She could only begin to imagine what he would be like when he was intentionally attacking someone.
Shuddering slightly, the female tried not to think about that sort of thing. Even though she knew that Damu wouldn't even dare to think of harming her, she knew that it was better to be on the safe side. Disputes did happen..
Convincing herself quite successfully that her mate wouldn't dare lay a paw on her, as of course he loved her too much, Tai wiggled slightly and giggled as she nipped at his face playfully. Her mood was great right now and it seemed that nothing would be able to bring her down.
"Haha, what if I... threaten to never ever give you another kiss again?" she teased, her tail wagging slightly as she rose to her paws and backed away from him a few feet, just for effect.

The smile that had so long inhabited his maw slowly faded away as a uncertain, confused expression drew up upon his lips. Emerald eyes widened in a bit of horror. "Wh-what? You're just joking," he replied with a slight choke in his voice.
His eyes watched as Taima unexpectedly rose to her paws and backed away, her body language portraying that his very fear was becoming a tangible reality. Peering over to where the dead, dried fish laid, Damu gritted his teeth in repulse and sighed. Was this a test to prove his love?
The things I do for love, he thought as he slowly padded towards the rotting fish, his very breath being held to avoid its unpleasant smell.
Looking at the fish with a sickening expression, the white and black swirled male peered up towards his mate with a still skeptical expression. "So...all I have to do is eat the fish and you're kisses will always be mine?" He remarked as he outstretched his right paw and nudged the deceased creature.
Even to the touch it sent shivers running down his spine as well as a twisted, sick sensation that began to slowly churn within his stomach. Like many males, their stomach were like steel fortresses that could consume anything and everything but, in Damu's case, he wasn't so willing to go to the extremes and consume such things...oh, he'd seen many younger males attempt to consume the most rancid and rank foods and, in the end, it never was a pretty sight.
"I-I just have to eat this...fish?"

Taima blinked as her mate seemed to believe her. Actions said more than words ever could, but she figured that her eyes had given away the joke, as they always seemed to do. But it seemed that either they had stayed loyal this time, or Damu hadn't seen the look, for he crawled right up to the creature and pawed questioningly at it.
Suddenly she rushed forward, not wanting him to actually devour the thing. It looked quite distasteful, and she would never put someone so close to her through such a thing. That would be just plain horrid and rude!!
Laughing slightly however, as the female still thought it funny he actually thought he had to eat the dead thing, she licked his muzzle and discreetly pushed the fish carcass away. "Of course not!" she yipped, rolling over onto her side again as she snuggled up to him once more. His black and white fur was so soft... and comforting... his scent was absolutely calming.
"I would never do that to such a cute and fuzzy creature like you!" she then continued, smiling a toothy smile as she went back to teasing him about how fluffy and fuzzy he had looked with his coat all wet.

Oblivious to the meditated prank his mate had been plotting, the white and black swirled wolf had been true to believe that this was a test to prove himself worthy within her eyes. However crazy such thoughts appeared, Damu had believed it. Between lovers, there had always been some test, challenge and trial put against ones mate to truly display his worth and devotion towards his or her mate. He had seen such strange proceedures done before but he had yet to learn first hand.
Just as he was about to lowere his head down, jaws open wide as they were made ready to quickly scoop up the pitiful fish and consume it with no chewing necessary, the white and black swirled male jerked his head upwards as Taima rushed forwards, laughing and pawing the fish away from them.
His emerald eyes softened as a relieved sigh escaped from his maw. When his mate graced his muzzle with tender licks and rolled onto her side, he smiled as his tense body slowly began to loosen and relax. The fear of consuming something so replusive still made his stomach churn and knot with a unappealing sensation but at least he did not have to bid to his mates wishing after learning that she would never make him eat somethig so...disgusting!
Flopping onto his side, Damu grinned as she snuggled up into his side, becoming engulfed within his white and black swirled fur. Rumbling with upmost pleasure, the male rubbed against her and brushed his muzzle against the side of her cheeks with a tender touch. "That's good to know," he laughed as he playfully tugged at her ear. "I don't think my stomach could handle consuming that fish..."
Glancing over towards the coarsing river as the silver streaks flashed and whirled in all directions, he grinned. The fishing attempt had been a success for him but what about Taima? Did she still want to learn how to fish?
"So..." he began as he rolled onto his back, emerald orbs peering upwards in curiosity, "do you still want to attempt to fish?"

Taima laughed again, but then also frowned. Damu really had thought she'd make him consume that awful thing, hadn't he? Suddenly her eyes lost their brightness. She wasn't cruel, so why had he thought that? Glancing quietly at the fish, she saw that it was rotting even more now. It seemed that fish didn't hold out as long as other prey, probably because they lived in the water and so dried out quickly. Shivering, she moved farther away from the dead creature while also snuggling deeper and deeper into the male's fur.
"I don't think even the scavengers want that," she remarked slowly, glancing once again at the carcass. So disgusting! It soon began to make her stomach sick, and the smell rising up from it was making a terribly sting on her sensitive nose.
When he asked if she still wanted to fish, the female made a face. "I'm not sure I want to anymore," she sighed, finally looking away from the fish. "It smells rotten, and I don't feel like eating right now.." It was the truth, and she hoped that he wouldn't mind.
"Maybe another time?" she then asked, cautious now that she had turned down his offer. She had at first been excited, but now the smell of the creature just caused disinterest.

His black ears flickered as her jubulient mood had withdrawn into a soft, disappointed tone seemed to withdraw from her. Damu didn't mean to seem so oblivious to a harmless joke...it just was he had always been careful and tried to take things seriously. His old pack never did have time for fun as Akumi was a warlord whose train on thought was centered upon protection and bloodshed, the way of the Shadowsong pack. But how could he explain it to Taima? How could he tell her that he always looked upon directions or threats as the truth and prepared himself to either fight or take flight, running away if he knew he could never live up to a set standard.
Sighing softly, a small smile crept upon his maw as his moss and black hued mate pressed herself deeper into his burly, jagged mess of white and black swirls. Damu chuckled softly as he swung his head over her neck, a low rumble sounding from his chest. "We'll just pretend that it never existed," he grinned as he slid his back foot outwards, scooting the horrid creature from sight as it dropped into the rivers domain and out of sight. As his senses were free of such a rancid smell, he withdrew his foot towards his body and nuzzled up closer to her.
"Well," he replied as he glimpsed over towards the river bed, a questionable look drawn upon his maw, "the river's not goin' anywhere...there's always tomorrow."
He slowly slid his head from off the back of her neck, trailing down at level with his mates head as his emerald orbs peered into Taima's. Nodding gently as he daintily pawed at her face, he smiled warmly. "Of course! Don't worry about it, love. We have all the time in the world...and we just have to figure out what to do with it," he added as he tenderly nipped at her black ears as his black ringed tail swayed merrily behind him.
Though he had been looking forward to catching a few unsuspecting fish and filling his stomach, the hunger pains that had been bombarding his stomach had become so unimportant...he nearly forgot about them as he devotion was directed soley towards his mate, Taima. It still baffled him as to how lucky he was to have crossed paths with her and had found themselves hopelessly in love.
Both Taima and Damu were submerged within loves depths, entwined in unity forever and always. The once ruthless and cold hearted beast had transformed his heart into a battleground of passion and sensational emotions. He was lovesick...Damu had unlocked a banished personality that, at last, he was not ashamed of. He was affectionate and compassionate; a mate to his beloved Taima.
"What's next? Adventures towards the sea side? Trekking into the mountains? Starting our own pack? Come on...tell me! What can we do!" He yipped with pure thrill as the thoughts of what was to come next seemed to stir his adrenaline. Tenderly tuggin at her ear and growling softly, he grinned.
"Where do we go, Taima?"

Taima lay very still and thought for a few moments. What should they do now? There were so many possibilities, it almost hurt to think of them all at once and go over each one in her head. So she suddenly stopped thinking about them and merely stayed there, silent.
Her eyes flashed every once in a while to let him know that she was thinking, and that an answer would hopefully be had in a few minutes' time. Trekking into the mountains sounded like great fun, but then she wasn't really interested in running into snow again. The cold substance was already leaving this place, and Tai had gotten used to the warmer weather. Plus, it was very hard on her paw with the missing pads. Starting their own pack sounded magnificent! But then she thought of what a horrible alpha female she would make, and quickly discarded the idea.
The last thing left was to find the sea. She had heard of the great and vast thing. Everyone said it was like a lake, but seemingly endless. They also spoke of how sparkling and dazzling the waters were when the sun was in the right position.
Finally making up her mind, the moss and black-colored female rose quickly to her paws. "Let's find the sea!" she yipped, bounding forward and nipping at his face before quickly darting off a few feet.
Her tail swayed rapidly behind her as she waited for her mate. She was ready to bolt, to simply run off and reach the sea. And unknowingly they would head straight into the alpha Hige's pack.

His emerald orbs suddenly widened as he watched his mate bound onto her paws, n** at his face and suddenly rush forwards in dire exhilaration. It was settled then; Damu and Taima would travel in hopes to find the sea.
Rolling over and stumbling upon all fours and forwards, the white and black swirled male ran after her as a wide, unbearable grin spread across his maw. "Wait up!" He howled with laughter as he rushed towards her, his black ringed tail flailing behind him while his paws underneath him soared across the leave encrusted surface of the woods.
Never before had he seen the ocean and this would be quite the adventure! Like many, he too had listened of the exciting tales of the sea concerning its power, beauty and savage nature. Some say that its surface was like countless jewels that reflected and shimmered in an immaculate display. Yet aside from its beauty, it's strange smell penetrated ones scents in a barbaric manner...such a scent was either foul or, strangely, pleasant.
Whatever the truths behind the mystery, Damu was ready!
Black ears perked upwards as his tongue lolled out of his maw. He could feel the anticipation swelling within him yet when the time would come where it was too great to hold back still remained shrouded. Padding aside his beloved mate, he wuffed.
"Ready?"

Taima grinned and narrowed her eyes playfully. Her tail continued to sway behind her as she readied herself for the run. They would bolt all the way there if they had the chance, she knew, and so she was merely preparing herself for when the actually took off. She would have to be careful, however, for she knew how dangerous running so fast was. Memories refused to go away, even as the pain and scars vanished.
"Ready!" she yipped, her rump now swinging back in forth in the air slightly as she waited for the right moment. "One..." The countdown had begun. Or really, count-up, if one would even call it that.
"Two.." The suspense that she was creating was killing her, but she forced herself to wait. Self-control was a good attribute, and so she practiced it well.
"Three!!"
Suddenly the female took off, leaving a small dust rail in her wake.

Crouching low to the ground as his emerald eyes did an occasional check upon his mat, he grinned. Damu had come to know firsthand how tricky she could be and, truthfully, he loved how sly she could be! Taima was crafty but he was absolutely crazy about her! The white and black swirled wolf coudn't imagine his life without her and, because of the passions they shared, they were forged in unity forever.
As the count off began, he chuckled to himself. Oh how he yearned to bolt ahead and rush past her, his jagged fur whisping within the wind as the sensation of flight seemed to overcome him! But he needed to contain himself and show restraint...
Thus he waited.
When "three" sounded, his hea shot upwards as his back legs propelled him forward. His leaping strides set him out at a strong, brisk pace as he trailed behind his mate and her dust clouds behind her.
This was the begining of a new adventure and, unknowingly, the begining of a new life they would stumble upon. A new life...a new start to two lives who had merged by means of love and affection.
As his tongue hung out of the side of his maw, synchronized pants emitting from his chest, Damu pressed onwards behind his mate.
A new future was dawning.
