sakurachan61123 My show features What is Hip, After the Love is Gone, and Chase. I'm kind of excited but not. I don't "dig" funk too much. I'm more of the intense classical person . . . we did "earth wind and fire" my freshmen year..we played 'after the love has gone' too..i love that song!!!

For our Marching band '06 '07 season, we are doing the four seasons. Like summer winter fall and spring. We're having songs like schools out, wipe out, singing in the rain, autumn something.....I don't remember all of it. I think it should be loads of fun though.

We're doing "Earth, Wind, and Fire" We finally got the music for it today and listened to the show.
It's awesome.
I've never played 'funk' music with the band before.
It should be very interesting. 3nodding

We found out mid-May and we're doing "THE WORKS OF PYTOR TCHAIKOVSKY"
Our band director would NEVER let us do anything besides something from a symphony or an actuall orchestral peice, or something from a movie like "Gladiator".
This years 'show is going to be CRAAAAAAAAZY. I feel bad for the incoming fishes, the music is CRAZY hard. We've already started working with the music so yeah, its gonna be craaaaaaaazy i tell ya.
We're going to do four pieces from Pytor Tchaikovsky. NO "NUTCRACKER" or "SWAN LAKE"...thank god. xd I was afraid of those two.
But anyways, I will tell you this, there will be an excerpt of "The Overture of Rome & Juliet"
ninja
Our opening is badass. Its gonna be awesome. I really can't wait.

It should be very interesting. 3nodding OMG that is what I'm doin this year also We are playing in this order Getaway/September, After the love is gone, and In the Stone. Our Marching band is used to playing funk and rock so this year the music is SO easy. Last year we had this weird Latin American Themed show that was harder than this.

My band director is a lazy hoe and doesn't like to choose the music until about a month before the first competition, but she thinks she's going to choose Inuyasha this year. Which is retarded, because half the marching band has come up to her and told her that they will quit if she chooses anything anime (myself included, I hate everything to do with anime).
