She had really not appreciated being dragged back to the shore, mostly because she was still coughing a little. But at the look in his eyes, she sighed softly. It was harder to snap at someone who was worried over you than someone who was mocking you.
She shook herself off in a more canine move than feline, ending with a few dainty flicks of her tail, and then let herself slump into Zimwi's side. "All right. I won't go in the water any more." She coughs once more, then falls silent.

A smile made it onto the wet lion's face. "That's better... Come on, how 'bout we get back home? Denge might be wondering where you are." He got up, shaking the water out of his pale, pale coat.

She huffed softly in laughter. Denge was probably always wondering where she was. Nyunya was more often out than at home. But she nodded agreeably. Perhaps it was time to go home. Zimwi would no doubt watch her with an eagle eye after this, making sure she didn't almost kill herself again. It would make it hard to have fun. "Don't tell my mums. Promise?" She looked imploringly up at him with wide, innocent vermilion eyes.

"I won't. I'll just tell them we had a nice time swimming." He smiled, licking one ear before going back towards the cave.

"Good." The last thing she needed was Denge and Ithi fussing over her if they thought she'd been endangered. She wouldn't be able to go off without one of them - or even Zimwi - with her. It would put a damper on her exploring, for sure.
She trotted along, slightly behind him though still at his side. Exasperatedly, she blew damp strands of fur out of her eyes. It was looking more like its natural colour now, rather than the reddish shade it had been when wet.

Simply chuckling, the white lion picked his way through the trees. The walk would dry them, but that didn't mean they wouldn't have their stories. As they passed amid the trees, Zimwi was all too aware of how dry the ground was and how the trees were dieing.

Little Nyunya was too young to have any real concern over the state of the Mistie lands. It would only stretch as far as being upset the beauty of the land was diminishing. But then the slope that led up their den came into sight, and she bounded forward with a "race ya!" called over her shoulder.

Chuckling, Zimwi hurried after her. To her, the thoughts of the state of things were of no real concern. When they neared the cave, he slowed his pace, going at an easy walk instead of running. It saved energy.

As she reached the top of the slope, she has to sit down, panting. She'd taken the hill at a full run, determined to win, even if he hadn't been running full out. She glances toward the cave mouth, wondering who was awake and who was not. And hoping that Fedha was gone somewhere for the day. She coughs a few times again, then shakes her fur lightly a few more times, just to get the last excess droplets from her body.
