"Compared to you we are children, on Earth many of us are young adults. How old is old for your people? And what is young to you for that matter. If you don't mind me asking, so I can get an idea of just how young I am to you." Though he felt like he was more of a toddler to the other really, even if he was thirty, how odd to have such an age considered the same as a toddler. "I won't disagree in how little we've seen, I don't think we even realize it most of the time, being here last time and the sight of space...it really made you feel small and gave some idea of the scope of things - the vastness. It was startling." Even watching the stars from home didn't achieve what being in space had done, and even still it was hard to accept and rwalize it and remember it. So to think something liek this was out there, could be out there, and was a risk...it was a lot to take in.
Taking his pictures, again, he took a few of the one with the serpent blasting the planet via a storm. "I wonder if that's what it's doing to us now...or will be soon..." The idea was less than pleasing, as much as he liked a good storm, he was certain that whatever storm this beast could fuel he did not want to be front and center to witness. "I imagine it's been starved and would be rather thin." Thinking as a person lost weight they got thinner, and than with more meals a person gained in size as weight was gained. "If it follows natural biology than it should be very thin and looking to gain in weightg and strength before it takes on a whole planet. So it would snack here and there in order to do such....so somewhere out there things are being destroyed as it makes it's way towards us..." And lives were potentially being destroyed because of it - unacceptable really. It needed to be stopped and for good.
"The clouds aren't big enogu hto hid that...but a starved dopwn version..perhaps. But to come here starved would be unwise. So it's not here yet." But it would be and by then it would have eaten well enough to have regained it's strength. It needed to be found before then...but how? The negaverse couldn't get into space and knights and senshi were limited as far as he knew. s**t.
"It's being smart...I dislike that." Running his fingers through his hair, tugging gently at his bangs, the blond was again looking around the room. How many things here had come from Earth? Had he collected things from Earth? He had to have, right? He was certain there were things the other would have found interesting, if not primative, and added to his collection. Maybe he could find something to offer him as a gift of sorts...but what might intrest the merchant? As his thoughts wandered he wondered if there was anything from the silver millenium here...from the moon? Was there anything from Castor or other planets which belonged to senshi he'd run into - senshi who were alive now?

Almadel might have seen Benitoite looking around but with his attention in the book, he didn’t have the time to dedicate to his usual spiel. A shame, really! He clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth. “Oh, I don’t blame you for disliking that. Makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up! But I don’t suppose something that wasn’t smart could have survived for this long. Except by pure luck? But I’d rather go against something smart than lucky.” Turning the pages of the book once more, Almadel skimmed the page like he thought he might find any additional information. There was nothing; on this next page there were only walls of text, like braille without the texture. He hummed and then carefully closed the book. “I hope one day you get to see the universe as I have. Well, at least, the good parts. It doesn’t seem very fair to have you use that card I gave you for something like this. With Earth at stake? Ah, no. I’m a good businessman, Benitoite. And I’d like to see you again. Here, so you can call on me again.” He flicked his wrist and between two fingers appeared another calling card. With a heavy sigh, he held it out for Benitoite. “After all this trouble is finished! Maybe I can give you a proper tour,” he laughed. Now, Almadel cradled the book carefully to his chest. Benitoite had photos of the only useful information inside. “Let us not talk of age, it’s such a complicated thing. Your years, my years. I don’t look that old, do I? I’m in my prime! And what I have lived through is so different from yourself. I don’t think a number can put it into perspective. But then, I suppose it’s hard to put some things into perspective even when they’re staring you right in the face. Like this beast? I’d like to assume it follows natural biology, but nothing else about it is natural, hm? I hope it’s skinny. And small. And not much trouble at all. And then all of this can just blow over and go back to normal, hm?”

"No and smart at least means predictable. Pure luck means the thing is stupid, or at least not that smart, and so it means actions it takes don't need to make sense or have a reason. Harder to predict and work with. Both options are dangerous but for different reasons." Something smart though had it's upside, for them, as far as he figured it. With nothing else in the book, a real shame, he put the pad away after sending the pictures into theior Queen with a quick note on who he'd been talking to. He didn't get into things, no need to just yet, he'd have a report for her by the end of tomorrow night.
Pocketing the card, as it was returned to him, the blond smiled lightly. "I wouldn't mind seeing the bad in space as well. You need bad to know what good is and vise versa. I wouldn't want to see just one part of space." And he was a general, he'd like to think he could take care of himself within reason. "Why deprive myself of half the cosmos by only looking for the good.
"No, no you don't look old at all yet you've clearly seen many things. It speaks to some age, an age I wish humans could achieve if only so we could see and do more. We could than grow further into our personalities and become more. Normal in Destiny City isn't normal anywhere else on Earth, perhaps that makes it special, some people get memories of past lives and other things. A continuation of things in a way. I hope it's small and easy to remove so we can continue with our abnormal lives...maybe one day things will become normal." It also felt like such a short life...and most weren't reborn and even if they were how many could rememebr the past. It was one chance, a short one, to enjoy life and some people never got it. They didn't get to continue it, even if reborn, due to the lacking memories. It was a somber thing to think about really. But now was not the time for such, not really.
"What do you say to lightening the mood a bit and showing me around? I did see some pretty things from where." Pointing to a case not too far off. "This place I need to properly visit, to let you tell me about everything here. Tell me you have plants or at least specimens of plants as well." That had him lighting up, a smile and bright eyes, never mind the flush cheeks. The idea of the flora in space was something he would love to see.

Almadel smiled sweetly, like he’d have enjoyed nothing more than giving Benitoite a detailed tour. “I wish you could stay for a while, there’s so much to see. Perhaps I can give you brief tour for today, if only because I suspect each of us has quite a bit to do. Your Queen might be upset if she found out you were taking a little vacation instead of trying to save the world! But don’t worry, I won’t tell her. Do you want the rest of this?” he asked, and picked up the half-emptied bottle of cider. It was still a bit warm to the touch and he looked like he was considering pouring himself another glass before he changed his mind. He corked it back up and then presented it to Benitoite. “Or, if you let me know when you want to visit next, I’ll make sure I have some fresh flora to show you. I don’t have much of a green thumb, and I don’t want to encourage any pests to move in. But I do like to bring something in every now and then to freshen up the air. Are you a botanist, or a gardener, or…? Perhaps I could let you know when I’m getting some plants in, you could come up and help me?

"This would be a working vacation, I'm sure she'd understand." And it was, he was being well entertained and enjoying the time up here this time, he was doing some work as well and finding out what he could. Even if there wasn't a lot of factgs he had the others opinion on the beast and that was worth something for certain. This wasn't an empty trip, not at all as far as he was concerned, he was doing his job even if it came with some enjoyment as well. Not all work had to remain as just that - work, nor did it need to be boring and dull.
"I wouldn't mind keeping that rest, perhaps sharing it with someone when I get home, I think they'd appreciate something this nice." Perking up then he nodded his head, a bit too much, bright eyed and smiling. "I'm a botanist and I've enjoyed flora since I was a child, I took over my mothers green house and now have my own at home." He didn't mention that he did the gardening for Chalcanthite's home, that he just sort of tasked himself with the job, but it was a way for him to buy even more plants and enjoy the thrill of it. To see them grow and to figure out which plants would grow best where and with what other plants. He enjoyed it very much.
"I would like it that very much, if I could come help you from time to time, to see the flora from other planets. I can imagine all manner of possabilities." Which were really endless in his mind.
"A short tour now and notice whenever you get some plants in, I'd love to help you and expand my knowledge. Even if it may not apply to plants on Earth. I would very much like to test myself with plants from space." It would be a test and one he would very much enjoy, seeing what would work to keep them alive...and what would have them thriving. Oh, this was an exciting idea!
"I've managed to manipulate plants so they can gather energy, which can than be gathered from them, leaving the plant alive and able to continue to gather. It was..a project to help my Queen." Which he'd be launching as soon as he could. "I'd offer you one but seeing as they gather energy from those around them...it might not be the safest plant to keep."

“Is that so?” Almadel asked, punctuating each word. He seemed curious about this accomplishment. “You’ll have to tell me all about it. And I’d love to learn what you do with all of that energy. The Negaverse is so interesting, truly the cream of the crop with your lot, hm? And you especially, very impressive. All right, you put that bottle away now.” He brushed his hands on his suit and stood up straight, with a charming smile. “Come, we’ll start at the front of the room for this tour, I’ll take you around, and when we’ve seen it all, back to Earth.” He had an array of strange artifacts and trinkets, some of which looked like a curious fusion of African and Slavik, from tapestries to tools to armor and weapons and other anthropological finds. He was glad to explain that he recovered them from an asteroid while traveling a few years ago and had finally completed a collection large enough to put on display.
