Sallazar prummed sweetly at the praise. Yes he liked this girl muchly. He stared pointedly at Morleas.
"What?" He asked his creature..."Oh...is it these perhaps?" He smiled and handed Saras some dried fish treats. "I think he wants you to give them to him." He rolled his eyes playfully at his disloyal four legged companion. "I have been upstaged already I see." His eyes sparkled. It made him feel good that Sallazar reacted so well to her it was a good indication that she was a great person. "He is very well trained and has been my best friend ever since I got him." Morleas leaned down and gave the big boy a hug. "Haven't you?" Morly would have been lost without the comfort of a companion he thought a long time ago. But their partnership had really worked out for him.

Morleas 17
"Okay he is going to open his mouth really really wide because he thinks it is funny, please don't be scared when you see the finger sized teeth. We brush them every night as he is very picky about his smile." Morleas almost choked on a nervous giggle. Sallazar had a big maw with very big teeth.
True to form the snaptrotter opened wide in anticipation of dried fishy treat.
"He is so spoiled and I wouldn't have it any other way. I do plan on finding him a mate when he gets older and keeping an offspring..or four. He had changed my life so much and I will do what I can for him. "Just toss them in and watch your fingers, the moment the treat touches his tongue all that force comes down. You can hold their mouth closed with your hands and a bit of maneuvering but never get caught touching the inside of the mouth, he wont mean too its a reflex but they have an impressive bite force, he crushed my old cooking pot...and ate it. He spat it back up later but it was unpleasant and I had no way to make food until I got a new..more sturdy..pot."

Morleas 18
"It is rather satisfying isn't it, they don't chew really that is why he tosses his head back like that. If there is something that is too big they grab it and spin until the meat just gives up and rips off. He is a ham most of the time, I've not really seen him angry, but I don't think an acoster would want to go after me or anyone Sallazar likes. I think though that he will let you ride him now if you wanted to go to those places you mentioned." He could walk it would be good for the two of them.

Morleas 19
Sallazar looked at her, glanced at Morleas, snorted and rolled over like a puppy. "That my dear is a yes. He will not show his belly to anyone but me, you have been chosen." He winked at her. "They are pretty sensitive. He always wraps himself around me when I'm sad, though it is more complicated when Im in a tent and he tries to comfort me..my tent is not big enough for him." He chuckled. "It did make me forget why I was sad though. He makes a good campfire companion, keeps my back warm and safe."

Morleas 20
Sallazar got up and then peered at Myr expectantly. "He says you can get on when you are ready." Who would have known he would have two jobs? Author and translator. "That would be lovely! I really do need a tent that fits me and him. "Did you want to go to the waterfall first and then to the market or bookstore? Its a good time to do the waterfall, Sallazar can have a nice swim when we get there and then its downhill for the hot part of the day." His books were packed he would probably write for a bit when they got where they were going.
