Hiro should have known -- dominance was not something he'd been graced with coming out of retirement, and Rex was not going to stay defeated for too long before striking back. It was indeed with the strike of a snake that Rex would nearly cut Hiro in half on the rebound with a spear! Hiro had been anticipate an attempting rebound lariat but that 50/50 shot of his landed out of odds with favor. The Ethnic Enigma crumpled to the ground and clutched his stomach, stomping the mat with the side of his foot over and over as the pain radiated through out and he was forced to go back on the defensive fast.

Rex grabbed Hiro and began to pull him up, the pain shooting throughout Hiro's gut as if he'd had some bad gas station sushi. He found himself suddenly squeezed in the grip of the Serpent's Sheppard, the air escaping his lungs far too rapidly. Though, as if Rex was well aware of how Hiro felt, he suddenly slammed them both down with a belly-to-belly suplex that crushed Hiro beneath the weight of Rex and further squeezed out any air remaining, like trying to get all the air out of a bag of chips before closing it to perserve freshness. Hiro's head spun and cough escaped his gullet as he tried to suck in air and push away the fact that he felt as though he could feel blood beginning to pool under the wrapping of his incredibly injured arm -- maybe it was just his mind.

Rex stomped down with authority, driving his boot into the hand of Hiro Shin-Mozas...which thankfully, was the good one. The Ethnic Enigma's pain tolerence was on full display, but his ability to keep up mentally with his opponent was clearly in question. Another stomp, to the ankle this time, led to a yelp from the downed Cuban as he tried to use his non-stomped on leg to push himself to the ropes towards the door. Was he perhaps...thinking about an escape? Hiro was never one to run from a fight, he kept showing up to work after all with an extremely damaged body. However...the idea of both winning and getting as far from Rex as possible made leaving this cage a top priority. He wouldn't be able to get out that door just yet, but for sure the wheels were turning as the Ethnic Enigma was planning to run.

Hiro didn't make picking him up any easy on Rex, his head being grabbed by the larger man and serving as the vehicle for getting him back up to a standing position. The Ethnic Engima supported himself with his bad arm hooked to the rope and his legs barely stable beneath him -- and perhaps that would be to his advantage as Rex took off and ran to the adjacent ropes. As he rebounded, Hiro would drop down and yank his arm against the ropes to pull them down and send Rex right into the cage wall!

The fans popped with a mighty roar as the entirety of the cage shook upon Rex's impact. Hiro huffed and puffed on the ground and worked his way to the corner dragging his body along the bottom rope. Rex was stunned just as he'd hoped -- and that gave Hiro a chance he'd been contemplating. He began to pull himself up in the corner, back to the turnbuckle, and was surveying the Cult of the Serpent's leader. He waited for Rex to push off his knee before running towards him at the fastest possible speed to crash right into the front of his leg with a chopblock!

Hiro's shoulder careened into the front of Rex's leg and sent both men down to the mat, but Rex found it a little too funny for Hiro's liking. Were his hits simply not doing enough damage? What was the deal? The Ethnic Enigma was able to get to his feet a little quicker than before and was finding it easier to ignore the fact that blood was starting to slowly seep through his wrapping on the burned and cut up arm -- adreneline had finally arrived, but for how long would it stick? Hopefully long enough for Hiro to get the hell out of the ring. He looked down at Rex and to the ropes, taking off and attempting to hit his opponent with a big senton to the upperbody and follow it up with a pinfall attempt! There was little chance it would work for a finish, but any extra energy that Rex had to exert only helped Hiro in the long run.

Hiro flew off of Rex about a foot as he powered out with such authority it was alarming to Hiro. He expected at least a labored 2-count, but for Rex to just toss him away at 1 like it was nothing? That was a scary realization for the Ethnic Enigma who was starting to run out of the adreneline spike. He pushed himself to his feet and looked around, finally gulping down some pride and make his way to the cage wall -- starting to pull himself on to it with help from the ropes. It was a reversal of roles for Hiro, he'd normally never openly try to run away from an issue such as a match with Rex Kobra...but escaping the cage felt like the only way to escape without major injury. Making Rex submit or pinning him was going to be too tall a task with the injuries he was currently working through, so despite a somewhat lukewarm response from fans who saw him trying to run instead of continuing to assault Rex, Hiro kept on going.

Hiro felt his foot being yanked, of course the one stomped earlier which stopped his movement in it's tracks. Hiro wasn't going to just let Rex pull him down though, no matter how much it hurt -- he tried to kick away with the leg while while keeping his grip tightly locked on to the cage. He had to get Rex to ******** off if only for a second as he was so close to getting hands on the top of the cage. It wasn't a pretty scene at this point, but desperate times certainly called for desperate measures for the Ethnic Enigma.
