Character:Deep Space Sailor Helene Doing: Going to grab Kaifeng, getting absolutely walloped Damage: Auto Hit, Severe Hit
It was instinct, to stick as closely to Kaifeng as he could. Briefly, Helene considered offering to carry him--better to worry less about his long, fine skirts, which could get tangled up in the grassy shoreline--but it would probably only serve as a distraction, him ferrying his Squire to where they needed him. Instead, he would simply have to act as a bulwark, as best as he could.
It seemed his magic at least did something--confused the creature, perhaps, which was enough--but perhaps it also did too much.
Because the creature lashed out.
And he was sure it hit Kaifeng, because ti hit him, but they were separated, sent flying, and--
And something cold wrapped itself around Helene's heart.
He and despair were old friends, by now. But it had lifted, for a time, since coming to earth, since finding Kaifeng, since getting to know Lianli and being welcomed into his life and his family and--and it was all too good.
He had forgotten his duty. His world was still dead, barren--and now abandoned, because its Senshi had not once thought to return since he left. His brother, lost--likely dead too, and perhaps reincarnated somewhere in the city, but who could even say if he would know Huanxi anymore.
He was a failure. Had failed everyone he loved, before, and it was only a matter of time before he failed Lianli, too--
Never should have come to Earth. Should have died quietly centuries ago. Perhaps someone new with the mantle of Helene would do right by it.
Character: Big Sidhe Doing: Attacking it’s attackers and Diminishing in size.
The shock wave should have freed the Sidhe. Gave it the opportunity to mmove up on its victims that were conveniently beginning to cluster together again, even if some were knocked a bit further a part with the blast. Alas, that was not the case. Instead it continued to be bombarded by Nectaris’s moonbeam attack. The burning pain continued on and on! It didn’t like it! The Sidhe hated it all! And it lashed outwards at the Knight again with tentacle arms.
It’s attack, while maybe effective, was short lived as another arrow from Erytheia pierced it. Upon impact it of the arrow, the Sidhe lost control of itself. The pain too much with the continued attacks. The melding that created the monster broke down a fraction as two small Sidhe seemed to pull themselves a part from the big one. These were average human size, and it was obvious they gave no care for the now slightly smaller, but still bigger Sidhe as they began to chase down the group that headed for the shore.
The bigger Sidhe was left to deal with those who were meant to herd it to the shore or follow suit of it’s smaller counterparts. In an effort to get away from the pain that was unleashed on it it lashed out once again with its tentacles to the three that seemed to be the root cause of its torment.
Nectaris, Halle, and Erytheia roll for Hit/Damage!
-------------------------
Character: Small Sidhe Doing: Pursuing their targets
They moved more quickly than the bigger Sidhe. Both of them waved their own small tentacle arms as they grew close to Celadon and Drombeg. The one pursing Celadon reached with three of the wispy tentacles while Drombeg’s had two reaching for him.
Both small Sidhe craved that touch. That interaction with the living was their only need.
Celadon and Drombeg have the two smaller Sidhe closing in on them.

Character:Transcended Earth Knight Hy-Brasil Doing: Healing Kaifeng and Celadon The blast had been a doozy. Celadon was up but hobbling. And bless her, she was still making her way in the direction Hy had suggested they move to. Drombeg gave a vocal affirmation that he was fine if missing his weapon. Halle seemed to have faired well and Nectaris was miraculously still attacking! Hy could only assume that had something to do with Halle who wasn’t too far away from the butterfly adorned Knight. Erytheia was also accounted for and seemed to be holding up.
Two people though appeared to be down and not getting up. Hy altered her course from the stony shoreline to Kaifeng and Helene. “s**t.” She cursed as she stopped at Kaifeng first. He’d taken quite the fall with the blast. A quick glance at Helene and the Earth Knight was pretty sure she knew what was going on.
“Hey. HEY!” She yelled at both of them, trying to pull their attention to her. She knew how potent the Sidhe’s darkness could be and the extent that it could make someone loose themselves. Best to try and counter act it the best she could and that was to talk to them and get them to focus on the here and now.
“Helene, right?” Hy offered the Deep Space Senshi a smile as she turned to him. “Come give me a hand, ok?” Hy was still knelt next to Kaifeng who was probably not going to be getting up on his own just yet. “He’s going to need some help getting up once I get him stabilized a bit. We can’t let him just sit here.”
Blue eyes shifted to Kaifeng. “I am going to give you some healing. It’s not going to fix it entirely but it should help stabilize you, ok?”
Her staff, which had disappeared in the tall grass when she knelt to Kaifeng’s side was quickly lifted so the incense burner was held high over the two of them. The sandalwood scent grew more potent as the smoke grew more abundant, traveling to Kaeifeng but also to Celadon who had been obviously hurt in the blast as well. Hy was incredibly thankful for the range of her magic as she channeled it to the two hurt individuals.
All the while she kept her eyes on the Sidhe that Nectaris was still in battle with. Unfortunately, it looked like their singular target had separated into three. While it effectively made the bigger Sidhe smaller, it was still quite large in comparison to all of them. And with more target they’d be spread a bit more thin. Thankfully, the smaller ones were doing what the plan needed them to do.
Hy couldn’t waste too much time channeling. Not with the Sidhe zoning in on them all now.
Magic:
Knight: A wooden staff/shepherds hook with a chained, ornate, silver incense holder hanging from it's top (Permanent fixture). Channeling energy from the Earth and nature around her, a thin fog, swirling from her burner, and smelling faintly of sandalwood, envelopes up to 3 targets within eyesight of Hy-Brasil. It can heal moderate wounds of allies and try to stabilize and/or numb the pain of anything more critical. This can occur both in and out of battle and can be channeled for a full 60 seconds (20 seconds per person for full, moderate heals).
As Halle regained his focus, he lifted the shield from Nectaris, relieved it had worked but careful not to let the shield be too static and thus less effective. the aoe had done a number on most of them, going by the staggers and dimming expressions. A mental attack on top of the physical, then?
He really, really hated that kind of mental manipulation.
Summoning the shield for a brief second to shove at the main body of the thing, he lifted again as the tentacles began to shoot out. This time bringing the shield down to protect Erytheia, who'd been hard hit by the last attack. But the tentacles proved swifter and more agile this time, the rapid summoning and desummoning of the shield wasn't helping either. The unicorn squire gritted his teeth in frustration, even as a tentacle thumped against the wood of the smaller shield on his arm. He really...needed to practice until he drank, dreamt, and bled his magic for everything it was worth.
Squire: A simple wooden long shield shaped like a unicorn head Defensive magic: summons a 6'x 12' version of the wooden shield, while it only blocks magic and physical attacks from one direction, it is a physical manifestation that also blocks line of sight as to what's going on behind it. magic pool: 4535 30 seconds
Character: Celadon, Page of Cybele Doing: Some dodgin', some thanks, having a heckin' sad Damage:: 1x severe hit, 2x miss
The thing split off like it was budding. Celadon hadn't seen anything like it before — not from youma, not from the agents who commanded them. She furrowed her brows at it, part in consternation, part in incredulity. Not only could it hit everyone, but it could bud off like a jellyfish and attack them all with impunity.
That was exactly what they didn't need right now. More targets, more confusion, more corralling. She stooped and tried to dodge it when it got rowdy with her — one tentacle sailed over her head, then it brought another one downward at her with more force than before. She managed to narrowly dodge the second assault, but a third came around from her other side and slammed into her with considerable force, knocking her into the grass again.
This was impossible. They were going to lose, because there was nothing they could do to corral something like this. It would just burst into pieces all around them and push them out to sea instead. Then they would have to watch Hy-Brasil die. That would be her penance for not being there for her friend.
Dense forestry had sprung outward too, crawling near her. Great, even the landscape was against them. She shouldn't bother getting up. May as well let the fresh plants and bushes take her for nutrients.
Then there was a smell on the air that seemed familiar to her. She never learned the name of it, for it always seemed less important to the other goings-on at the time, but she recognized it immediately. It was a smell she used to encounter whenever she flew out to visit Aileen. There was always something burning — a cone, a stick — and it almost always smelled like this. She found comfort in it, even if she found sorrow, too. And, maybe just for a moment, it felt like her friend was there with her.
It took a bit of looking around, but she saw that the incense smell came from the Earth Knight's weapon. She'd held it aloft and its curious fog was beginning to blanket the area. Was it magic, then? Could magic do something like this?
There wasn't much time to consider it. The new, smaller Sidhe started to find targets — her and Drombeg. Celadon struggled to lift herself up off the ground, her side not aching quite as fiercely. She also felt that she could trust more weight to her leg now, like it was close to or as good as it was before she got shot, so she took up a wad of skirt in one hand and started to jog away from her new enemy.
"Hey!" She called to the other targeted Knight. He looked sort of similar to the knight they were helping. "If these are a part of the big one, let's lure them to the sea!" If it wanted to split into parts, then they would just have to push it out in parts.

Character: Erytheia of Cosmos Doing: Herding and shooting, but beginning to show signs that something isn’t right Damage: Hit - Minor
Erytheia tried to gain his mental balance again after it had just faltered. Everyone was still okay, right? That strange vision in his periphery was just that, a false image, wasn’t it?
He looked for his allies, but it was hard to see past the Sidhe. From Hy-Brazil’s voice, he knew she was healing those that were down. He would try to get to them as well, but the creature had other plans.
It was joined by two other smaller Sidhe. He cursed as he saw one go after the page, Celadon. He fired an arrow at the one chasing her, hoping it would slow it down.
Unfortunately, that meant his eyes were not on the big one in front of him that he was supposed to be herding. Luckily, Halle had his back with the shield. It may not have saved him from the blow, but it at least prevented the hit from being far worse.
“Thank you.” Erytheia said to the squire of Lysithea, as he struggled to not fall back to his knees. But with that new hit, he could no longer deny what he had seen in the corners of his vision.
Something was there.
And it was dark and foreboding, a reminder that things would not always be alright. That the creature could catch up to Celadon. Or that Helene and Kaifeng would not be healed. Or that Halle’s shield would fail. Or…
… the ways that everything could go wrong filled his head, building from shadows in his vision to full entities in his sight.

Forgotten Spell: A magic arrow fired at a single target within 20 feet. It appears like a shooting star in flight and disappears on impact. It deals blunt force damage. It has three uses.
Drombeg could only barely acknowledge the Page who had also been targeted by the creature+ and she was holding his sword. That's all of the information his brain was able to get before he realized that the creature+ was going at him. And unfortunately he didn't react quickly enough. He was once again knocked down on his back, luckily without being thrown a few feet, but now he had one bruised, possibly brokell en hand, his other hand which was being held down, and the creature that was now trying to come at him. He could feel a familiar darkness cloud his mind. The chaos... it was calling back to him, telling him that he needed to turn back into Geocronite.
He couldn't help but yell as he tried to push those thoughts out of his mind, ignore the sharp pain that was currently taking over his hand, and attempt to kick the creature off of him.
Character:Kaifeng, Squire of Saturn Doing: being healed, trying to calm down, trying to reach out to Helene.
“Helene!”
It wasn’t easy to keep track of him when the creature knocked them apart. But even through his panic, Kaifeng managed to notice what had happened, how Helene himself had gone flying back and been downed. Just watching it sent another cold shock through Kaifeng, one that had nothing to do with the monsters besieging this other Knight’s Wonder and everything to do with Helene—with Huan-ge—and with how badly, how powerfully Kaifeng wanted to be good both to and for him.
How could he do that if one or both of them allowed themselves to fall here tonight?
What was the point of going to ******** Therapy—of having specifically sought out a therapist who knew about Knight and Senshi business on top of it—if Kaifeng just allowed some monster and its mind-bending magic to knock him down so badly?
After Helene had gone down, Kaifeng hadn’t noticed anyone approaching. He heard someone calling out “Hey,” but it didn’t register for him that they’d meant that call for him. Panic clouded his mind—thick, and cold, and heavy; moving so lightyears-a-minute that everything else felt slowed down to the pace of frozen molasses—and it wasn’t until Hy-Brasil knelt next to him that everything clicked more or less into place for Kaifeng.…… As close to “into place” as it would likely get, for now. He heard the word “Healing” and he nodded.
“Healing” made sense. “Healing” was good. With healing, Kaifeng could get back up, return to helping the other Knights and helping his senshi. Helping cleanse this place of the monsters that had set upon it.
Trying to take deep breaths didn’t work so well at first, but it got somewhat easier as Hy-Brasil’s magic swept over him, hitting him with a rush of relief as the pain dulled somewhat in his mind and putting a stop to the bleeding (or most of it, anyway; it was somewhat difficult for Kaifeng to tell exactly what was happening, between trying to bring his emotions back into line and the bloodstain already present on his waistcoat). The slight increase in mental clarity helped in its own right, too. Reminded Kaifeng that he could do something for himself as well: shifting his weapon into his left hand, he crossed his right arm over his chest and stomach, then used his right hand to press down on the wound he’d sustained there.
Pressure helped staunch the bleeding. This was A Thing. He remembered applying pressure to the stab wound in his back after that Negaverse General had got him with zyr rapier.
Although he still felt shaken—he still felt a shudder in his chest, getting proper deep breaths still felt difficult, and Kaifeng still felt something clenching around his heart and his lungs at the thought of what might have happened to Helene—Kaifeng made himself look toward Helene. The sight of him in such dire straits, with his own injuries and looking so upset—it hit Kaifeng as surely as the energy blast had done. But……this fight wasn’t over yet. They couldn’t give up. Not when so many of their comrades needed their help.
“Helene,” Kaifeng called out to him, persisting even though his voice shook. “Hey—hey, gege! Look at me, gege! Just a glance at your Kaifeng, pretty please?” Whether Helene looked or not, and entirely without thinking about how he had not yet said a certain word out loud, Kaifeng said, loudly enough for him and Hy-Brasil both to hear, “If my zhiyin—that’s you, gege—can get me up, we can still throw my magic at the creatures!”

Hy-Brasil has acquired one (1) Saturn Knight who is going to look up to her treat her like A Friend now, jsyk emotion_bigheart
With Kaifeng and Celadon in stable shape, Hy-Brasil cut her magic, the smokey fog that draped over the battlefield dissipated quickly to find the Knight hurrying herself to the shore. If she stayed with the senshi and Knight they could possibly lure the Sidhe to them and she wasn’t sure if Kaifeng could deal with that. Even with the healing, it only went so far. “Stay here. If I go to the others it should keep them away from the two of you. Once you’re both recovered come join us.” She grabbed Kaifeng’s head between her hands. “WWhatever it is you’re going through in your head, just try and remember it’s because of the Sidhe. If we get rid of them it should all go away.” She hated that more people were subjected to the mental pains the Sidhe brought.
She looked across the tall grasses to Helene. “Helen! Here! Over here!” While she could only assume the relationship of the two, it was obvious the distress. But she didn’t have anymore time to waste.
The Earth Knight took off towards the shore to join Celadon and Drombeg. Celadon was holding Drombeg’s sword and the Knight appeared to be down. s**t. She rushed forward, staff in hand and helped push back the smaller sidhe targeting Drombeg. It relented, for now. Turning back towards the other Sidhe that was approaching.
They had only a small amount of time.
The two weren’t far from the rocky shore. If the three of them could get there, hopefully they’d all be a big enough distraction for the Sidhe to not target Kaifeng and Helene who were still amongst the tall grass.
And it appeared the crew pushing the sidhe was still doing their job beautifully. There wasn’t time to waste. Her summon appeared at her side. The blue-eyed, white stag pawed at the grass terrain and threw its antlers back. “Drombeg, come on. Get up.” It was maybe harsh but sometimes harsh words were needed to break that horrible, horrible darkness. “Use my summons to support you, but we need to get to the shore! Celadon and I will guard your back. More will be on us soon!
She turned her attention to Celadon. “You good?” The page was holding up remarkably well it seemed. That or she was of the sort with a stronger mental disposition.

Character: Big/Small Sidhe Doing: Moving to the shore and shedding more sidhe.
The small Sidhe going after Celadon retreated at the impact of Erytheia’s arrow.
The other Sidhe darting for Drombeg also pulled back.
The bigger grouping of people was more alluring. And the Big Sidhe followed the pathway that the group took to the rocky shore. It’s tentacle-like arms undulated around it, not close enough to anyone to reach anyone as it moved at a slower pace than it’s smaller compatriots.
It’s pace was notably slower, even with it having lost a small bit of its mass. One could only assume the damage thrown at it had done its job. As the Sidhe followed its path to the shore, herded along by well placed unicorn shields, it began to leak more smaller versions of itself. By the time the thing reached the shore, it had easily dropped to half its beginning size and continued to shrink as singular sidhe continued to break away.
It also meant there were easily three dozen or so smaller Sidhe crowding around it.
They all seemed to pause though on the shore, as if unsure if their prey was worth pursing anymore. Unfortunately, the pause was short lived. As if a decision was collectively made, the group moved forward to those who had been the lures for the creatures.
The Sidhe are growing more numerous and crowding to the beach. Everyone who can should get to the shore to help corral the smaller Sidhe.
Next prompt: Wednesday November 29th by 5:30 pm est —-----
The sidhe was breaking a part. “Good! They’re going to be a bit faster, but at this point they shouldn’t be able to physically harm you.” Not that being mentally harmed was any better. Some may argue otherwise. Hy-Brasil herself would probably argue otherwise if it wasn’t for the fact that the end to all of this was so temptingly close!
“If anyone gets overwhelmed, those who have weapons can hit them. It doesn’t actually hurt them but it can phase them a bit.” The creatures were technically just chaotic energy trapped in a form. And energy wasn’t necessarily affected by physical weapons, but anything at this point would help. A simple pause in motion can be enough to give someone a chance to slip away.
“Watch each other’s backs!”
The incense in her burner began to blossom again as a fog settled over those most mentally affected. Hy wasn’t sure if it would help much, but she could hope that it at least offered the smallest bit of clarity for those heavily affected by the Sidhe.

Character: Celadon, Page of Cybele Doing: Not using a sword correctly, but it's close enough. And helping Drombeg onto Hy-Brasil's summons.
It was shocking to watch someone get downed in front of her, but Celadon knew it would not be the last time she saw such a discouraging scene. The Sidhe had done some serious damage to Drombeg, and Celadon had little idea the gravity of those injuries. They had been bad enough that he surrendered his sword to her, though, and Celadon was loath to abandon him to the wiles of these ghastly creatures.
She'd never held a sword before. She'd seen them in movies, of course, and once in real life. The closest she had come to one was a machete, which she used when exploring thicker forests, but even those chances were few and far between. She also didn't know if it counted as a knife or a sword, but she would use this sword in the same manner nonetheless.
The Sidhe was still there, trying to menace them for another shot at Drombeg. Probably intent on finishing him off, but Celadon stepped in with the sword weighing heavy in her right hand. She kept one foot forward, one foot back, like Cybele had taught her in case she needed to lean back to dodge. Then, like with the machete, she chopped at it with an angle to her strikes. And while the sword in her hand was definitely weighted and shaped differently than a machete, between those strikes and Hy-Brasil's assistance, the Sidhe left them alone. Celadon huffed out a brief sense of relief.
Celadon didn't know how she looked at that moment, but she knew she felt some pervasive aches in her thigh and side. Nonetheless, adrenaline kept her going well enough. She nodded to Hy-Brasil's question.
Really, her attention was drawn by the graceful creature that the Knight called her summons. It was an ethereal, marvelous creature that gave her goosebumps to behold, though she knew now wasn't the time to admire it. "Here," she spoke to Drombeg as she crouched near him. "Let me help you up. We're almost there." Tucking the sword into the back of her waist belt, Celadon shaped her hands into a stirrup that would help him mount the stag without needing to rely so much on his injured hand.

Character: Knight Nectaris Doing: Peeling herself up, trying to rejoin the others to herd the sidhe towards the beach. Damage: Since I didn't roll for the last prompt assuming she took bad damage.
Nectaris had been spared from the worst of the creature's attacks so far, but when Halle's shield dropped from in front of he? Another tendril swung out to hit her, sending her flying backwards a little bit, landing hard on her shoulder and rolling a few feet through the tall grass.
She gasp as her magic fizzled.
That was where she sat, while the others around her kept fighting and talking and helping each other out. The lain on the cold ground, miles and miles from home, while the thoughts started closing in.
She'd missed her mom before, but now the hopelessness was crawling up in her throat. Her dad. Her brother. She'd never see them again. Ever. She'd gotten adopted by her new family, the Bells, but with the tears welling up in her eyes, she wondered if they regretted it. These days, they seemed concerned and frustrated about her choices a lot of the time, like she was stupid and gonna get herself in trouble for trying to keep up her old relationships and trying to save people like Fulgurite, and even Albite.
Which, like, maybe they had a point, 'cause how was she supposed to save anyone with the power of love and friendship when she didn't even know if anyone loved her? How many times now had somebody kissed her, but married someone else? And like, with Fulgurite hiding, she didn't have anyone left to kiss at all.
The tears were running down her cheeks, ugly. Her arm hurt. She didn't even know the people who she was fighting for, right now.
She heard Hy-Brasil calling, though, and if any of these thoughts were from magic, she wanted to deal with that before she went home and cried into a teddy bear for the rest of the night. She didn't wanna get killed by ghosts in the middle of a field.
So, she pulled herself up. She gripped tight to her staff. She walked forwards, towards the beach.

Character: Erytheia of Cosmos Doing: Summoning P’rue and being OOM Damage: Hit - Graze
The smell of incense was familiar. It drew Erytheia back to the present. Hy-Brasil’s healing spell could be felt as his shoulder was relieved of the pain of the Sidhe’s touch. The mental damage was still there, but the scent of sweet smoke was enough to uncloud his vision.
It did remind him of his weapon as a page and how it smelled with its incense. He had been so useless then…
The knight tried to get out of the grip of the Sidhe. Physically, it was just a graze. But mentally…
… he could see that darkening place as clearly now as any.
He heard Kaifeng call out for Helene and it forced him to stay within this world and not the one in his head. Both were separated. There were disasters in this real place, too.
P’rue. I need your aid.
The knight stopped in his tracks, somewhere in the widening space between Kaifeng and the others who were still forcing the Sidhe to the sea.
A large white bird appeared in the sky and flapped its massive wings to land near the Saturn knight.
“Get on. She will bring you to Helene.” Erytheia said to Kaifeng as the bird made a trilling sound and bowed it long neck so that the squire might mount if he so wished.
Erytheia turned again to the Sidhe. He’d have to make do with using his bow as a staff. With that summoning, he was out of magic.
