Jarel was quite ready for his follow through, but it looks like Chrono has decided to return his big shot with with one of his own, the Yakuza kick again taking Jarel off his feet again. He hits the mat with a loud thud and for the moment remains sprawled out, his bell perhaps rung by the ick

Jarel was known for a lot of things right?
Godfather of Hardcore, The Dragon
Hell in a Cell

'But'

His bread and butter was the chokeslam, and even it was acknowledged in his training video before this match

Chrono moved towards the sprawled out Jarel, and attempted to pick him up by the back of the neck and try and drop him down

With a reverse chokeslam!
The nerve!

Jarel finds himself caught by the back of the neck, an odd sensation. Lifted up for the reverse chokeslam, the Dragon attempts to jump forward out of the God of Time's grip. From here, the Godfather of Hardcore would aim to kick Chrono in the gut and give him a little blast from the past with a move from another mutal old rival, the Stunner known as the Blackout fans might remember from fellow legend Shadow!

Needless to say, that Jarel catching himself before becoming splattened like a pancake, or a old cartoon character...
Unexpected

What was even more unexpected was the kick to the gut and the Blackout, the Stunner that Shadow made famous

There was a thud, but Chrono stood wobbling from side to side, back and forth trying not to fall from the stunner!

Jarel pops back to his feet after nailing the Blackout, a move that had beaten him a time or two before. However, the God of Time is still standing. That just won't do for the Dragon here tonight. He's got another idea. Time to pay tribute to the owner of WWFG.

The thought sickens him slightly, but it's the perfect moment, as Jarel attempts to get behind Chrono and lift him up onto his shoulders for the very familiar version of the burning hammer made famous by Cartwright, the Cartwright Crash

Perhaps Chrono should have fallen like many other victims of Shadow's 'Black-Out', perhaps sometimes it would've been best to take a dive...

Just let things fall where they may, instead of taking a stand.

Perhaps if that were the case, one wouldn't have been hoisted up and planted viciously into the mat with a burning hammer.

... And insult to injury it was Cartwright's Burning Hammer!

Mauro: WHAT IN THE WORLD IS HAPPENING!!? MOMMA MIA!

Regal: If I may to quote another deity in the Pantheon, Matt Shanahan
"If there was any doubt in someone's mind that Chrono is NOT the God of Time, you can stop doubting that NOW."

Mauro: I'm certainly a believer, these two are bursting out moves from old rivals like it's nothing, and they're doing it at the apex of those gentlemen's career

Regal: It's like Chrono is taking Jarel through a journey through time, and Jarel is showing us all he's more than capable of handling it

Jarel might not have liked Cartwright the majority of his career, but that was a nice way to plant someone, he had to admit. Speaking of which, with the God of Time down, it's time to see how much he has left in the tank, as Jarel quickly goes to roll him over and hook the far leg for a pin attempt.

Gorilla Monsoon: And we're coming to you live from the Pearly Gates, and a match of this proportion, we can't just sit here and 'not' talk about it

Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan: Monsoon, Let me tell you something, we're looking down watching these two giants, these two stone chiseled titans--

Monsoon: Hate to interrupt you Bobby, but one is a god named after a titan, the other is a dragon

Heenan: Both of which I would've loved to have in the Heenan Family, definitely would've taken down Hulk Hogan!
You know I was right about him the whole time right.

Monsoon: Hate to admit it, but you're right. Anyways back to the action!

" b***h..." Chrono spoke, after landing hard on his face from the brutal burning hammer.
The worse thing? Jarel did it better than Cartwright, was more impactful and from a higher elevation.

The hook of the leg

One!

Two!

Thr---

NO!

Chrono shifted his shoulder just enough to miss the three count, like hell he was going out like that.

Absolutely not.

*Stomp Stomp Clap Clap*
THIS IS AWESOME!
*Stomp Stomp Clap Clap*
THIS IS AWESOME!

The crowd roared in applause at the two legendary figures' performance

Mauro: HOW DID CHRONO DO THAT!? HOW!?

Regal: At this point, I think it's shear stubbornness, and a move like that isn't going to put Chrono down.
I can relate.

Jarel can't say he's entirely surprised by the kickout, but he'd be lying if he said he didn't fully intend to put the God of Time down for the count there. Now sitting up after Chrono kicked out, the Dragon rises to his feet again.

That had been fun, but now the Dragon is ready to return to his own moveset. If he really wants to put down the God of Time here, he's going to do it his own way. As such, he reaches down, attempting to pull Chrono up into position to lift and drop him with the Jacknife Powerbomb
PostPosted: Mon Sep 04, 2023 3:21 pm
The set up for the dreaded Dragon's powerbomb was initiated, but Chrono managed to roll out of it, and attempt a kick to Jarel's stomach

and follow up with a devastating move of his own, or rather...
Brantley Summer's Pedigree!

Jarel could almost feel like he's lost a step there, as Chrono escapes his Jacknife attempt. As he moves to go after him, Chrono meets him with a kick to the gut that doubles him over, only to drop him with a move he hadn't felt in probably fifteen years, albeit not from the person this one was styled after. The arms are hooked and the Dragon's face is driven to the mat with a quick Pedigree, leaving him face down on the mat again. probably a bit more height and force behind this two since they're both pretty big men
PostPosted: Mon Sep 04, 2023 4:51 pm
Mauro: MOMMA MIA! What an incredible counter!

Regal: Ah yes, a pedigree. It does make a villain like myself proud to see that move used.

Chrono rolled to the side after hitting the Pedigree, knowing full well that Jarel would've kicked out or got his shoulder up from that move.

And, there was still more to do right.

Chrono got nice distance, and waited until Jarel got to his knees or to a slight vertical position...

Then would aim a devastating move from another deity of the pantheon.

Nuke Fusion's (not a cutter) Fusion Cutter!
Which ironically was closer to a Claymore kick than a cutter (just to the side of one's face)

Jarel has a moment, or so he thinks, and pushes himself up on his arms, then gets a knee under him. Finally, he gets both legs under him and pushes himself up, but perhaps his hair falling across his face leaves him with a blindspot, as Chrono clocks him with the Fusion Cutter. That kick came with some force as it sends him sideways to the mat again, fans remembering that this move gave Jarel a defeat at the hands of Nuke Fusion at Wrestlemania to end his second WWFG world title reign
PostPosted: Mon Sep 04, 2023 5:19 pm
Chrono using the same move of the man deity that beat Jarel, was ironic.
Perhaps symbolic, perhaps as a tribute or perhaps because when would he have gotten the chance to use it?

His back to the mat, Chrono kipped up to his feet.
"Nothing personal Dragon... Well, actually it's very, very personal.
When you didn't show up for our very first match?
I took that personally... That doesn't mean the respect isn't 'there'.
But while you're lying there getting your head in the game...
Your thoughts straight, the cobwebs clear...
Win, lose or draw... I'm going to 'personally' make sure...
Your name will live forever.
"

There was a pause, as Chrono looked down
" Now, are you going to continue to lay there like a b***h, or are you going to stand up and stop pretending? "

Jarel rolled to his back as Chrono spoke. To be fair, that kick hurt. But ask and you shall receive.

The Dragon sits up quickly, no smirking on his face this time. As he gets to his feet again, he focuses on the foe in front of him.

"Nice one, but Nuke hit harder with it."
