“How the Hell do you make *walking* into a damn beauty-sport?” Exasperated for having to keep up, the blond pressed the hiss of words in Aramis’s general direction. No, his friend was ‘Mirabilite’ here, Syrus had to remember that. Had to think the words clearly even as he snipped soft sentences at the other Senshis heels, marveling at how the man made the thin bit of skirt move with flourish—
“Practice makes for picture perfect strutting Sy’—you could do with better heels, for a start,” hummed with the lightest sort of huffed air around perfectly painted and pursed lips.
Cryolite motioned at Mirabilite heels dramatically and then left the rest of his words to be stepped over by outrageously glassy looking footware.
The banter had begun between the pair of basic Senshi long before Albite had dumped them both in his own office, leaving them to wander down a hall carpeted with toddler-esq art on colorfully violent display. There was no protesting the event; Mirabilite was tired of sitting prettily side-saddle, moored to emotions and circumstances ever in flux. He was finally tired of being angry at Waru too, or so it seemed, and was maybe also getting along well with whomever he answered to like this?
General Larimar? Cryolite thought not to ask right now, because every time he pried it made Aramis scowl in a way that promised *pain* in spades— and tonight was about being happy, getting along, enjoying a win with less tears attached to it than all the others had been!!
There would be no easy out for this one, not that Cryolite wanted an out— he almost wanted another check in. There was a future date where he’d ask—-
For right now? He needed something else.
A break for starters, but in absence of that? This would do as an intermediary between the sharp schism of strangeness he found himself living in lately. It was like trying to shake off perpetual twilight and cobwebs all at once— He’d not attended the celebratory taco dinner; rather unable to handle the whiplash of someone dying, and then being rather quite alive! He couldn’t get through the cyanide pitted cherry atop that chocolate centered molten lava cake that was the fact he had finals, deadlines, and a mountain of paper to mull over and chew through.
Moe’s had sounded divine, he’d wanted to go, but he simply could not!!
And then after all of that?
All the strangeness of burning banks in the news that he’d barely paid any mind to, all the fires closer to his heart, closer to his home. Syrus decided that he was done thinking for the day— for the year— getting shot faced with any number of taxi’bodied men and women on teleportation call sounded divine, the perfect thing to take this mind off life and all its woes, plus? He would’ve been lying to say that he wasn’t glad to see Faustite alive, though he’d hoped the state of the man would’ve been more healthy than that fresh out the ER chic!!
“Faustite!! You know? If you were my husband, I’m afraid I’d never stop crying out of sheer concern for your well-being—“ a jab at his own namesake, woven round a touch of genuine worry. Already he ached in his own heart for poor Waru. How that man handled any of it at all? It was beyond him. He would’ve personally panicked every time Matt stepped out the door if he always came back looking battle dragged and a step above dead! “Though you do look good for someone who killed a princess,” the man looked alive enough, looked good burning bright enough to match Tamas blush.
“I’m glad you’re alive...” he meant that, a clear moment of sincerity, a truth.
“Also, this is Mirabilite— Ah, Aramis? But! *Mirabilite* this is General King Faustite, Albite’s husband—and Tama, not Albite’s husband—he’s just a very sweet lap-cat,” the chance at teasing was buffered by how he meant that as well, ever complimentary to Tama because he so dearly did like the Mau, the one stray intelligence amongst them at times—and a whole third of the team's cat-thinking capacity.
He wondered as he opened up introductions with hasty care, if maybe he could chill something for the man? It’d hardly be a waste of his abilities to ice over some of the alcoholic contents for the others.
“So, I finally get to meet you? It’s a pleasure~” Mirabilite curtseyed low, showed a sliver of his teeth in a smile. He was going to beat Waru with the nearest, cheapest, thiccest bottle of bottom shelf liquor he could find! That b*****d had made him miss out on an entire wedding!! Made him miss his friend's own damn marriage!?
‘To a mother ******** bonfire, my sweet summer sights what am I looking at?!’
Yet for all the overwhelming strangeness, Mirabilite wasn’t going to flinch, he was going to stand in front of his dear friend's husband-fire and smile god damn it! He was going to congratulate a person who was apparently a *king* for murdering a *princess* — and not clutch his nonexistent pearls or pick at the immaculately smooth skin around his nails. Oh no, they were too damn well dun up for him to ruin them now!
’This party is going to need something far stronger than alcohol if I’m going to see the end of it—-
“Congrats on the funeral-pyre-party-win,” this was the weirdest s**t he’d ever attended in his life, but he was never, ever, ever!! Going to be the sort who passed up on a chance at attending an event! Especially not a strangely macabre murder party with all the flair of a fifteen-clown-cars-deep pileup; if every single one of them were also on their way to attending a nearby funeral. Ooooh—the decor had Albite’s name alllll over it—quite literally in some spots—it was as funny as it was severe. It was only maybe missing glitter—or was that too flammable for such an event?!
“And congrats on the after party, too! I’ve heard no end of rumors about it already,“ showing all his teeth as he stood from his low enough to kiss the ground dip; Mirabilite was five breaths and three steps away from viciously spreading said rumors all on his ownsome. Hadn’t Waru said offhandedly that he had a home down here somewhere? That *that* was where he’d been spending so much of his time? Here in the castle maybe, or outside of it in the nether looking weather-less and desolate airs beyond the sharpie-skull smattered and hapy-day plastered walls?
Not that it mattered, some of the offices in the place were large enough to accommodate any number of events, and he knew where Albites was.

Tama could only feel the slightest chill. But it was enough. Enough to snap him out of being flushed, but not bothered.
“This man has a fire-proof present. I think I’ve been out done. Mine only lasted for a second. You might get more time out of that plant.” Tama replied and turned to Faustite, all playful again. “Where are these boys getting their fire-proofing? I’d like to be able to touch you without getting burned.”
Wolframite watched as Faustite's own pack gathered to sooth and congratulate him. The concern for the General King's injuries were paired with compliments to his victory. Then there were a few other compliments that even made him wonder, considering he often wasn't quick with things. It wasn't as if it was being hidden but maybe people were just being swept up in the moment and drinks.
Taking another sip from his thermos, he offered a smile to Prehnite. "I am back and have met some new and old friends. I'm not sure is every has met. Let me just introduce everyone. We don't do these kinds of gatherings often..so we have - This is Lieutenant Hydroxyapatite. This is General Benitoite. This is Sailor Valeria, and this is Eternal Sailor Miyamoto." Just in case some people present hadn't met one another.
He leaned over to Miyamoto. "Thank you." He said as thanks for his magic use just now to cool the place. He didn't comment on the colder comments previously made. It wasn't his place to n** at a senshi and grown man's manners.
"I didn't know you were married." He said to Faustite as another had come over to express concern and introduce their friend. His glowing eyes glanced to the guardian who seemed jealous of others having fireproofing, wanting to touch the General King he had previously kissed.
But he is married? He thought, confused.

Hyde found himself rather pleased with the wine he'd chosen. It would have gone better with a paired tasting platter, but it was sitting rather well on its own. He took it in in moderation, but even so he could already feel the slight twinge of tunnel vision that came with intoxication.
He wasn't as worried as he had been about making a fool of himself, standards of interaction seemed a little less formal here than he had anticipated, with everyone in a rather festive sort of mood after their victory.
Admittedly he wasn't entirely sure why someone had just called themselves a lap cat. He had to assume it was to do with mauvians, who he hadn't had much chance to speak to yet. He quite liked cats, but he wasn't sure yet how much he liked the idea of them transposed to sentience.
"Marriage?" he asked. "Do a lot of people marry... within the organisation?"
He hadn't considered the idea that lying to one's spouse for ever might be taxing.

Faustite palmed his face, then immediately stopped when simply touching it elicited undue pain. "Listen to all of you, feeding off each other." Albite taking pictures, Borax talking about debauchery, Tama getting in on said debauchery… Perhaps he should have expected all of this when he invited all interested Negaverse officers to a party filled with alcohol. Especially when some of those officers had gotten to know each other on a more personal level.
People were strange creatures. Even the creature on his lap was strange. He would be spending years to come tying to understand each of them, and likely getting no further than now. Maybe with time came acceptance instead of knowledge.
But others seemed to be enjoying themselves. The group with Benitoite, Wolframite and Prehnite continued to grow, including some senshi he hadn't met, a Lieutenant, and others. While he wasn't precisely worried for the ex-General when he returned to the Negaverse, Faustite was nevertheless glad to see he was able to intermingle very effectively. Better yet that no one was judging him for being part youma, or making other assumptions about his ableness given the claws.
No, if anyone was making assumptions, he supposed that would have been him. He supposed everyone would deal with the cups well enough, except for himself.
He turned to sip his drink, trying to be quick about it before he started melting through the cup even more than it already suffered, but Miyamoto's brazen comment at Albite had him laughing such that he choked on it. He coughed and hacked, spitting lit alcohol onto his arm that he then had to pat out lest he endanger more of the Negaverse's decor. And Tama, too, he supposed; the cat wasn't fireproof. None of them were.
Once he recovered enough, and wasn't on fire where he wasn't supposed to be, he responded to Prehnite. "Think you might be full of s**t. Or you smuggled something from Almadel." Could have been just as much one as the other. "But I'll take it. Can't wind up blighted like the cactus from Kama, right?" Poor damned thing. He still hadn't the heart to tell Kama he killed the cactus. Or that the cactus was victim to magical bullshit that ended its life prematurely.
As he listened to the growing crowd before him, it sounded like the Lieutenant (Hydroxyapatite) could use a lot more alcohol. Far be it for him to stand in the way of long-established rank politics, however.
Then came Cryolite and a senshi whom he hadn't yet met — Mirabilite, it seemed, which was a name that he recognized as having come with Albite and had something to do with tits. The conversation surrounding this individual had confused him terribly, so he looked on with alcohol-soaked consternation when the pair came strutting up to him like two runway bitches competing for the camera. Cryolite was first, always managing to live up to his namesake in the strangest ways. Faustite narrowed his brows at the boy, shifting where he sat with the lap cat that was likely sweating to death by now. "Then don't ******** marry someone in the Negaverse. Something something active ******** combat, death happens, you know. Lucky for him, he's likely to die first by doing something entirely apeshit."
He tried to leverage a hand on his hip, but it hurt to bend his knuckles, so he laid his hand on Tama's leg instead. Tama was like his own cooling blanket by comparison.
"Head about you," he said to Mirabilite. "I think. Not sure what Albite was trying to say." Being sober in that moment hadn't helped. Maybe if he was three sheets to the wind when Albite started talking about him?
"May there be more —" Wins, or princess deaths, he wasn't sure what was going to come next, but that didn't matter when Mirabilite cut in about an afterparty. "******** me, if you all want a ******** afterparty, make Albite do a poster for it. He's right ******** there. Got nib pens in my subspace, not that he knows how to use them worth a s**t." And everyone would be some degree of inebriated, anyway, so it might look like the fine art that Miyamoto had wanted. Or they could put Miyamoto up to it and get the standoffish boy to start making some friends. Actually, that was a good idea —
"Miyamoto," he called, "Show Albite how to make a good poster by doing one for this ******** afterparty." Spoken like a command in true Faustite fashion, though he meant it as a suggestion and a tease.
To Tama, he added, "Think i could get more time out of you if you got your claws on Albite's gorget." He knew the boy would part with it at the promise of hearing all about it afterward. Or watching as it unfolded? "Know Taenite blew some s**t up in the Rift, got himself a crystal that absorbs fire somehow. And Albite got his gorget somewhere… Maybe Almadel? Know I've got his calling card, might be able to convince me to use it at the afterparty that's apparently ******** happening."
Wolframite's question reached him at a delay, and flame eyes cast over to him. Silently, he held up a hand that bore three rings. The last ring was on his right hand. "To four boys," he clarified. "Lot's changed since we were last acquainted." Undoubtedly in Wolframite's case, too.

The introductions were being made, and Jadarite managed a polite nod at each of those who were arriving. At the same time, though, she was making her way over to the selection of alcohol.
The news of Cybele's death had her feeling lighter than she had in a while, and the overall mood of the party was hard to ignore. She didn't quite need to drown her sorrows, but there was nothing to say that she couldn't celebrate.
After all, there were words like debauchery being thrown around.
Faustite knew her tastes well enough that there was a bottle of a wine that she approved of on the table. She poured herself a glass, and then turned back to the others just in time to see Tama and Faustite kissing in front of everyone.
That got a raised eyebrow out of her. It wasn't like she was a stranger to the way the team was involved with each other, Faustite most of all, but she'd thought he might have waited more than a few minutes.
Then he was saying that they'd have to wait for an afterparty, and she shook her head with a judgemental click of the tongue.
"That's a shame. News like that makes me want to celebrate with a bit of vice."
Since Faustite seemed to be showing off his husbands, she ran a few fingers over the shoulder of Borax's jacket.

Chalcanthite had seen one of the notices as he had been heading out from his office. The part about alcohol made his stomach churn, he was still getting used to sobriety. But the idea of a princess dying was very interesting, especially since he had been there at the bank to witness them becoming a princess, to begin with. He wasn't sure if he had ever heard of one passing before but when it came down to it he knew he had kept to himself more than he had needed to and had missed out on a lot of new information.
Finding his way to the party, he could smell it as he got closer. Everything would be fine, he didn't have to drink to be social. With a bit more mental prep he stepped inside and looked around at the massive group of people. Spotting Benitoite and Faustite, the two he had spoken with at least relatively recently, he made his way towards Faustite first. It was probably better to hear from them about the whole reason this party was being held before heading over to the other small General.
This was the first time he would be seeing Faustite more directly since becoming a General King so he tried to keep things polite and proper as usual. Although he did have a bit more stiffness to him that scent of liquor drenching the whole room. There was a group around him so he waited his turn before asking his question. He tried to not be rude but he was curious about the whole thing.
"Congratulations on taking out a princess, especially one who would have been particularly nasty to deal with. I saw her magic at the bank that day. Are you faring well after besting her?"

Bellalunae still wasn't sure why she had decided to attend this blasted party. To her, it didn't matter if someone killed a princess or not. But having just gained her humanoid side, she figured she might as well show up. The flyer she noticed in a passing glance something about drinking and a princess dying. She had never heard of a princess dying before, so she had never heard of a party like this. Did they celebrate all the deaths of high-ranking order members, or was this somehow special? She was interested in finding some answers.
Either way, here she was walking into the party not on paws but on human legs. She felt odd, but she did it anyway. She figured she'd probably learn more as a humanoid than a small black cat. Even if her human side was a little like a girl from a horror film.
As she entered the door, she noticed the youma and nodded. She stepped inside and just looked around for a moment. Taking in the environment, she had never attended an event like this before. She noticed a group of people surrounding someone. She figured that was probably the person they were celebrating, but instead of walking up to them, she decided to back into the shadows a bit. "I'll just wait till it gets less busy to ask some questions," she said to herself as she waited for her moment.
Makio had never been one to go to events that she wasn't hosting. This event seemed like an important step for the nega-verse, though, so she knew she had to attend. It was like a duty feeling she had inside. So here she was after a long day of work, ready to party—the death of a princess? Whatever that was, she figured it was something important to make flyers for.
"Well, here goes nothing," she said as she walked inside. She had added a leather jacket on top of her senshi outfit. She felt like there was no way she could enter without it. After all, expensive leather was always a good fashion statement in her head. It accented her outfit well and helped hide how tired she was from her day job.
As she entered the party, the first place she headed was to grab a beverage. Since what good party could ever start without some alcohol? That was one of the reasons all her own events had drinks readily available. Everyone is normally happy after a drink or two, or so she thought. Since she found drinking limited the number of fights or arguments.
As she grabbed her drink she looked around for who see needed to congratulate. Since everyone here looked a little new to her. She could probably name no one in the entire room. She knew this was a major problem. So she began looking for the most popular person in the room. "I wonder who is the main guest of this party?" she asked aloud to herself.
Watching as people drank, especially Wolframite and Benitoite, the dark haired eternal was ignoring most of the people especially since it seemed the corrupt he'd snipped at hadn't decided to respond to him; not his problem. He really didn't care one way or the other, he didn't even know them so what worth did they have to him? Maybe a potential client one day? He tended to look at a lot of people that way, it was how he saw value in most people, because he didn't like dealing with people and forming conenctions. Forming connections meant feeling and sympathizing with people and he wasn't into that.
It was whe nthe general King spoke again, almost challenged him, that he raised a brow at the other. "Accepted." And he knew it wasn't all that serious but he would be taking it seriously because he was an artist. Also he might just want to snub others with his art...just a little.
Turning his eyes onto the one he was supposed to be working with on this project. "Posters for this after party need to be done when? Also, what do you want on them?" Already getting into buisness mode, since this was work of a sort for him, as he approached the corrupt he was supposed to be working with on this. "Albite, you give me the information and I'll get what I need to work and you can watch what I do. I assume that's agreeable?" It might have been framed as a quesiton but was it really? Walking over towards his fellow eternal, frost and chill air following him as he moved.

As Wolframite started the introductions the petite blond nodded his head once. "A pleasure Hydroxyapatite." Not the easiest name for get his tongue around but he managed to get the name out, and he was fairly certain he hadn't butchered it, but as things continued with the party and people continued to arrive he couldn't help but find his cup empty at some point, and he was feeling off already. The last bit he'd finished in a quick gulp hadn't he? He should have refilled it then ratehr than go for a sip, as he'd just done, and find it empty.
Silently shuffing off to refill his cup he spotted a certain long haired General, how interesting to see him here. What was also interesting was the lack of a sister. A nod to his fellow General, let the other know that he'd seen him, Benitoite headed back tgowards tthe group, as Wolframite was tryhing to meld the two groups into one big one. Cup in hand, and a sip already taken, and the general was content to stand where he was listening to people chatting around him.
It was nice to see so many people and to be celebrating such a thing. He'd been involved in the bank fight, though it all seemed to go in a blur for him. It was all sounds and actions and not a lot of sense made at the time. It had been a rush.
"Think we should find sommewhere to sit?" Looking to Wolframite when he asked that. Cause if they were going to drink, as he was planning them to do, it might be a good idea. He also had a feeling neither he nor the other could hold their own against the others in this room, as he was not one for drinking and he didn't take the other for such either.

Aoede saw one of the signs while looking for Benitoite in his office and laughed a bit at the crappy drawing on it. It was a social event though and that was something right up her alley. She knew that there was at least one person she knew who was probably attending since they hadn't been in their office. It would be good to meet other people and find out about this whole princess thing.
Walking past the youma who were acting as bouncers, she scanned the room for Benitoite. It didn't take her long to find her General but seeing her brother there put a dampener on her mood instantly. Of course, he would be at a party where there was alcohol to get trashed on. That was something she'd deal with later if she even needed to. Taking her time, she grabbed only the tiniest bit of wine to drink. It was cheap and gross smelling but she would at least try not to offend whoever had decided on what to bring for drinks.
Making a beeline for Benitoite, she had to do a double take. Was he... drinking? That was not something she had ever expected to see given how he had avoided drinking at every other event she had seen him at. That was when she looked over and noticed the lack of a cup in her brother's hand.
I guess he's sticking to the whole being sober thing.
"Hello, Benitoite and uhm..?" She curtsied slightly towards the group of people that surrounded Benitoite. There really wasn't anyone else she had recognized yet.

Hyde refilled his glass and paused as he noted the arrival of a strange looking girl he’d never met before. He had to keep telling himself that it was fine and that no matter how strange things got here that it was probably on a scale of normal. It was a strange disconnect from the normal world he’d come to think of as the “human world”. He’d have been upset if a monstrous youma showed up in the middle of a normal shift at the hospital but here it was par for the course. He was genuinely relieved that most things had little emotional impact on him, or he was sure he’d be an emotional wreck with all these quite sudden alterations to what was even possible in the world.
He was already drinking too much, but he was less concerned now about his actions, certain his own paranoia would keep him in line. Besides, what was the worst he could do in a place like this? It wasn’t like he could win any sort of fight, or even that ill-advised flirting would get him anywhere. He was fine to relax.
“I wouldn’t mind a seat.” He nodded to the suggestion. “If everyone is in agreement.”

Looking up from his cup, blue eyes landing on a familiar female, and nodded his head in greeting. "Aoede." It was nice to see her, very nice, and he did wonder if she'd be trying to play this group like she would a normal social gathering. It wouldn't work the same here, not at all, but it would be interesting to see. So far though she had just turned up, so he'd find out soon enough he was sure.
"Mmm, I'll introduce you." A look towards the group he was with had him motioning to Wolframite first, as he was the same in rank to Benitoite. "Wolframite, he's served longer than I have." A smile to the half youma, he would forever respect the other greatly.
"The eternal corrupt is Miyamoto and the super corrupt is Valeria. Than we have Hydroxyapatite. Your brother is also somewhere...." Looking around, slowly, he spotted him again. "He'd off greeting the reason we're all here tonight. the General King killed a princess and did us all a favor." As they wouldn't be running into that princess on the battlefield next time.
"Mmm, a seat would be great right now." Since if he and Wolframite kept drinking he was sure to fall over somewhere. "Last time me and Woflramite ever tried to out drink the other we fell over...so a seat might be good." Something lowe and on the ground, so the trip to the ground wouldn't be bad. He knew how bad this might look to others...but right now he wasn't entierly certain he cared much. Looking at his drink and then the other General he knew he didn't care. This was good.
His eyes went to the lifted hand, showing the total of 3 rings for the 4 mentioned husbands. It took a moment but with clear relief, he saw the other ring on the other hand. He didn't want to begin guessing locations if it wasn't.
"A lot." He confirmed, golden eyes looking over his cup to Faustite. "Seems you have been recruiting your own team." He took a drink from his thermos and then reached into his subspace. He knew he had a lid for the thermos somewhere. Fishing it out, the lid actually functioned as a cup and he offered it to Faustite - with some difficulty. It was harder to hold a smaller cup than a thermos in his claws so he didn't use the lid. "I'd hate for you to have to stop enjoying yourself from something as annoying as plastic." He knew it was rough with mutations in a human-designed world. At least it was metal, insulated from temperature from the outside, and not plastic. Someone hadn't thought preparations all the way through when considering the guest of honor.
"Be careful there. You only have 6 fingers left." Unless he wanted to start expanding to toes.
Miyamoto was doing well to socialize and Wolframite felt proud he was mingling, even working with some other artist. How nice.
Beni had approached him to request they find seating if they wished to drink themselves under, and he nodded.
"I have a drinking challenge to win." He said with a curt bow of his head which unsetttled the party hat stuck to his ear and set it falling. "If it's alright, maybe we can catch up later - since it has been a while." And as he was being requested, he left the space so that others hovering near the circle could come close and meet the General.
Moving to the others who were requesting he park himself somewhere, he looked about. "There are chairs over by the tables." He said pointing. Everything was far too warm and he took off the outer coat to his uniform, snapping the annoying sash out of the way. There was a simple lighter gray button-up underneath the coat with shorter sleeves. This showed that his furred limbs did go further up than just his wrists.
His eyes went to another officer. "It's nice to meet you, Aoede." The half-youma general said. "I'd shake hands up - well." He wiggled a few claws. "We don't need to take off fingers." To which he looked to Hyde. "Though we'd be in good company if it did happen, doctor."
"You are hoping you'll win, I'll be more than happy to beat you." The ashen blond was already undoing his cape, leaving it to trail on the floor, as he followed Wolframite. It was too warm, and he knew it was going to get warmer, drinking it would heat him up too much. Not to mention his uniform was rather confining as well, it made moving about rather difficult.
The chairs were, thankfully, not too high off the ground so at least the possible fall to the floor wouldn't be too bad. His coat was undone and left to drag over the chair he planned to seat himself in. Following the coat was the vest and the jabot was also undone, nearly choking himself in the process of removal, and laid across the back of the chair as well. Down to a rather oversized gray button up, pants, and boots the blond looked a lot less put together, posh, and regal than usual.
Rolling his sleeves up he took his seat finally and pushed out a seat for Wolframite. "Alright, let's get this going." And unlike his usual self, and tossing all sense of manners to the wind, he took a deep drink from his cup.
"You got a doctor on your team now? I got one of them too." Nodding his head as he spoke.
