Neptune's newly formed smirk only would remain seconds before her face fell into that of surprise, and a little bit of confusion! After a moment, she blinked those deep purple eyes, reaching up to rub the back of her neck. "Ouch. My heart might need a healer soon.." She crossed her arms, looking at her still, her head tilting slightly. "Do you recall anytime I 'chased' after anyone? Goodness, you make me sound like a horrible monster that stalks the pretty girls at night! " She never openly flirted with anyone before, as most of her friends would likely know, the few that were here, anyhow. Then came the rather sudden explosion of energy from the enraged princess, though Neptune didn't really stumble much, she seemed not to be phased by it at all! "Calm down?! ...Okay.. I came here because I sensed you, along with everyone else. The first thing I noticed was you, looking terrible and over worked. I did what I could to help make that discomfort go away, but I also thought a little fun teasing might help your worried mind a little. I was wrong, I suppose I took it to far.. And for that I apologize..." This could be less embarrassing, if she wasn't in front of everyone else. With a heavy sigh, she decided that maybe it was best to leave her alone, after hearing a little of what took place, it was now understandable why her stress level was so high. Turning to Reiner, she nodded, sighing again. "Right...so, what exactly happened here? ...Would have been a good idea to fill me the moment I got here! What does she mean, our allies were dominated and taken? What in the world happened? " "Whoa! " Lucky her, to have her hero knightly prince to rescue her from stumbling, she might of stumbled herself right overboard without his incredibly fast reaction! "That was..a biiiit much..! I'd rather not sink into the ocean.." As if she couldn't swim! Well, there would be a lot of people to save, for sure! "Yeah, um...A LOT of them were taken, by Nyx...We don't know why, or what she's planning, but she has them all under her control..one of them is your mother.." And with Hana here, she felt it wasn't to hard to figure that out! As hard as that was to believe, anyone would first think Hana, the weaker one would be easier to take control of, instead...it was one very powerful Exemplar. As it came to her attention, by Reiner's own reaction, Annette blinked a moment, her face turning a soft pink. She was just that comfortable being held by Reiner, that she barely noticed she was still holding onto her. "I'm not complaining, you know..You could hold onto me all day, or we could hold hands, you know, to be safe! We never know when Nyx might appear suddenly, and try to grab one of us! Right? " What an excuse to keep their contact as close as possible!
As Hana seemed to share the same unhappiness as Minerva, and took off to go down below, Azura's attention would be brought to Alisa, before giving a brief glance to the white haired teenager. "I have, actually. Though I didn't want to say anything, giving the situation.." She didn't want to look as though she didn't care about the fate of the others, by bringing up such a questioning topic. "I noticed the similarities as well, though....well, here. " She held out her palm, creating a lovely sphere swirling with magical energy, when Alisa looked into it, it would look as though she were looking into a little ocean. A figure would appear there, a very obvious mermaid figure with a long, elegantly flowing blue tailfin, but what would stand out the most was her even longer white flowing hair, flowing with the ocean current, along side of her was Azura's father, his arm around his wife as if they were posing for a picture. While the image was exactly her parents, their pose was a little of Azura's own image of them, and when she thought of them she often imagined them this way, together and happy.. "You never did meet my mother, though you might notice something about her..." She glanced again towards Annette, then back to Alisa as she let the sphere eventually fade away.
Autumn glanced up from where she was sitting, causing her hat to press against the back of the wall of the ship, making it prop up and off her head. Incredible as it was, she barely seemed to notice her precious hat plopped off her head and onto the floor beside her, as her eyes were so fixated on the winged elf as she made her sudden, shocking yet very cool appearance. The way she landed there, and in THAT form, she really looked way to cool. By the time she made it over, she had already returned to her normal form, and it was just in time Autumn would practically leap at her with her arms thrown around her shoulders, she wasn't going to escape the hug of Autumn Doom! Really, she should feel rather amazing, to have Autumn forget about her hat, just to go hug her was ...well, it never happened before! And for the first time in many years, this was actually the farthest she ever had been from that hat she obsessed over so much. "I'm so glad you got away! I was worried to death! Are you sure you're alright? ...She didn't hurt you?"
Annette was about to do the same thing, when instead, Autumn caught her sister in a hug, causing her to stop and look a little annoyed! "Hey! I'm happy she's okay too you know! We can share a
hug!! "
Surely Astrid would just love that! Azura wasn't one to show a lot of emotion, as most knew, she definitely didn't share Alisa's excitement over the possible idea's that these two were in fact, their daughters. She did however, smile faintly, and a soft laugh escaped as she watched Alisa's incredibly cheerful expressions. "I suppose it's true, when dark times are upon us, a light isn't far away. Two very adorable brightly shining lights to make this day so much better! " While Azura wasn't so great at showing heavy emotion, it was clear for those who knew her that she WAS over-joyed at the surprise. "Want to have some fun with them? " Azura asked, a playful look on her face as she grabbed Alisa's hand, and began to walk towards Annette.
"Want to play a game? " She asked with a smile. This entire little thing was enough to show how happy she was, it wasn't every day she was so playful!
"Hmm?? ..Why, sure..! How could I deny fun?! " She turned to her fully now, a silly, wide smile at her face. "Hee,hee..Well, it's a game you have to be very fast at. Answer as quick as you can. Ready? " She didn't give her much of a moment to really answer if she was ready or not, before her first question came. "Where do you live? "The Forest Kingdom!" Annette was to excited to be playing this 'game' with her not so oblivious mother, she wasn't even thinking before she answered the questions as quickly as possible! "Are you a princess?" "I am! " "Who are your sisters? " "My twin Astrid, and Lily! " Azura giggled, she figured she got enough information out of her that both of them could be certain now of their little secret! "This was a fun game.." She glanced over to Astrid, she didn't seem so gulible, not that she needed to ask anymore. "Thank you, Reiner..You were quite helpful too! " Playful sarcasm, but clearly sarcasm!

"Hey, Ephraim.." Came Phoenix's voice, who would tap him on the shoulder lightly, motioning for him to come along with her to a slightly quieter area of the ship, had he tagged along, they would soon arrive to the bow of the ship, where she would turn to face him. "They're all in dream land, so let's talk. You're the smartest one here, so what is your take on the situation? I was thinking, once we locate Nyx, only a select few of us will actually set off after her. No use if something does go wrong, that we all get taken by her. I have been trying to locate her, but she's really good at hiding herself, and everyone she took. It's like she's got them all concealed with her magic to keep us from finding her. The only next step I could think of is contacting Cosmos, but the likely hood of HER helping us feels slim...she's arrogant, to full of herself to bring herself to help..As she so displayed the last time we needed her.. " She crossed her arms, thinking.. "The choices of our friends she decided to take is strange, some of them can't even fight, so why? I don't get it at all..Maybe your sister will break free, and scare her to death with her kindness? Seems most likely. " There was Teresa, even Lily, though she could put up a fight she was still a kid!

"Ummm, Aerith..." She paused, gods did that ever feel odd to say her real name. She felt so disrespectful and improper! "..Can I ask you something? It's about your story, in the past...I only know of it from everyone else, of course!! " She quickly added, to cover any suspicion's. "When that day you prayed for the world to be saved, do you....know how it happened? ..How did it work? Was it a power only the Cetra possess? I'm just curious about how it worked..is all. I thought maybe if it was so powerful, maybe we could pray for everyone to be freed, while also praying for the one that took them. You know, to maybe help her not be so mean! I don't really want to see her get hurt, or anyone here to hurt her.." "I'm afraid you are going to be a little disappointed! I'm sorry...It doesn't exactly work that way anytime..The planet then was in such distress, it was not like a simple prayer. Although I wish there was something I could do to help them, i'm sorry to say but for this, a prayer will not be able to help them in this case. Though it can't hurt to try! " She smiled at her. "We can pray for them to be strong, and that we find our way to them.". "Right.! Even if it doesn't do anything..it's better then not trying at all.." She nodded to her, finally turning away a moment, and glancing to the other side of the ship where Minerva had found herself a quieter place of rest. "I wonder if a prayer would help Minerva, to ease her mind a little.." She said quietly, turning back to Aerith, her voice still quietly spoken so Minerva wouldn't hear. "How can I help her? She isn't one to accept help, and...I'm afraid to bother her again. I hate feeling like I cant' help her..She's really important to me! I'd do anything to take some of the burden's she faces everyday away, and see her happy.." But that was difficult for her to do, and even more so she was trying to give her the space she wanted and probably needed..."...I suddenly really wanna smack Neptune over the head too.." She sighed out, shooting a small glare towards the purple haired one. Who...seemed to glance at her at that moment, smiling coldly. She MAY have heard her, Ariel tended to forget the great senses these Serenitians had! "......."

Nyx

"Besides begging for mercy, you have no other way out. Forgiveness... is expensive.
Freedom is the precious air on the mountaintop. Not meant for the weak.
Empty your mind, stop thinking, and submit to me. That's your only value."

User Image

"Yes, what is your take?" The two who had separated themselves from the others would be treated to quite the jumpscare of a voice, and they'd see her there when they looked for the voice. The very enemy they were discussing, sitting there on the edge of the ship, one leg crossed over the other and a very self-satisfied expression. "An interesting strategy there, Aunt Bird-Brains. Send a few of you so I can Dominate you all much easier." It was an understandable idea, but whether it was better than a full assault was harder to say.
"...Aunt?"
"I love how perceptive you are, little king." Nyx giggled, a hand propping up her head as she looked at them both. She said nothing more on the topic, however.
"Why are you here? If you were here to try to Dominate us, you wouldn't be talking right now."
"Maybe... or maybe I'm just lulling you into a false sense of security. Maybe I'll pounce any moment. Heehee..." Her grin widened. "You, my dear king... I consider the greatest threat to my plan. A mere human you may be, yet underestimating you has led to the downfall of greater "threats" than me."
"...Well, that's a surprise." It was true Ephraim was tenacious, and was good at overcoming impossible odds. As Minerva said, he was among the best at it in this group full of people who did it! But he wasn't used to being treated as such.
"It shouldn't be. I'm not the fool most of your enemies have been... and because of that, I have a challenge for you. Choose one of your female allies gathered here, and face it alongside them, no one else. If you manage to succeed, I'll let all your friends go, no strings attached--literally, heehee... If you fail, well... I suppose I'll leave that little surprise for you to figure out." Her grin turned to a smirk.
"...I've never heard such an elaborate request to fall into an obvious trap." Ephraim responded simply, as if there were no doubt he knew exactly what was going on.
"Heehee... Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. But that's never stopped you before, has it?"
"..." He thought for a moment. "...Why a female ally specifically? Seems an odd stipulation."
"Because I like looking at girls more than boys, just like my mother. It wouldn't be as fun to see two guys struggling to complete this challenge, at least, not for me."
"..." That was a strange explanation, and he doubted it was all there was to it. But regardless... "...What do you make of this, Phoenix? It seems an obvious trap, but it may be a better shot than waiting for her to come to us. ...Trying to think of who could provide the most versatile assistance. I can work well alongside Alisa, and she has a lot of abilities, but isn't very good at healing. Minerva seems very capable herself, even able to stave off the Domination. She may be the best choice..." He needed to think about this, and maybe discuss it with the others...

Phoenix wasn't one to easily scare, but the sudden, unexpected voice managed to be quite victorious in making her jump in surprise! Only to follow up with a very faint, embarrassed blush. As if it was anytime to be blushing, she couldn't exactly stop it! "......" She cleared her throat, as if somehow that would make her look cooler for the shred of her pride that was chipped away! ".....Why did you call me your Aunt? " Thinking about it, as much as this woman loved to mess with people's minds, it lead her to believe she was using this as a way of distraction. "You know, you may be a master at mind control, but you can't fool me with that one. If you were related to me, you wouldn't of attacked your own family..." She really didn't know Nyx, to knlow how very wrong she was in that terrible assumption. "Also, it's not possible for my sister to have a trouble maker for a daughter..." She was taking guesses here, but Nyx did start it herself by calling her aunt! She wasn't exactly dead to the world around her, she knew of Azura and Alisa's kid, Lily. But that was all, putting that together with what Nyx said, well, anyone could pretty much figure things out from there.."Whatever your story is, all I care about is everyone you took...and my sister. What did you do with them? "

As she took a moment, letting Ephraim get his words in as they spoke, Phoenix would listen quietly, until she was finally addressed again, to which she turned to look at Ephraim, while keeping her surroundings in mind in case miss Nyxie decided to pull any surprises! "...I think..there's only one way to find out. I also think you're talking to her. Who else would be better but me? I can heal, and fight. I can take a beating, and handle well on my own. I'm the only choice you have, and i'm not taking no for an answer! "

"I know I must place my duty as a commander above my life as a man. And once I am crowned, I most certainly will do exactly that.
However, I am not ready to divorce myself from my compassion just yet. I will find the balance somehow, the means to save my country and her people.
That is the king I wish to become, and so that is the man I must be."

"Heehee..." Nyx responded ominously. "Did I? Perhaps I called you an ant, because you'd be so very easy to step on." She said, that expression remaining ever on her features. "Heehee... the bird is simply too smart to fall for my misdirections, how unfortunate." She said ironically, with such a tone that conveyed far less displeasure than her words would make one believe. "Oh I'm glad you asked, because I was just about to reveal my evil plans." She responded, and... then said nothing more. Well, it didn't seem like Phoenix was going to get the answer she was hoping for.
"...I agree. I've never been risk-averse, to put it mildly." That was certainly putting it mildly, for someone so reckless! He couldn't help but find the rest of her response rather amusing. He supposed he should have expected that. It's about the same thing he would've said, were the roles reversed. "Hah... I'm certain L'Arachel would say nearly the same thing." He said with a chuckle. "I understand the enthusiasm, though neither of us have any protection against her Domination." They'd just have to hope their willpower was enough. It certainly made Minerva seem the most logical choice, but... "...At the same time, Minerva should remain. If she left, it would be all too easy for Nyx to try to Dominate everyone on the ship." It was worth risking himself and one other person, he would say. The potential reward was too great. "It's probably at least worth discussing with the others... or at least a few of them." Phoenix was feeling rather forceful today, it seemed!

"....Funny you say that, should this 'bird' become a little less small, then? " She gave her a irritated stare. Maybe she should go into Phoenix form and give her a good scare. She certainly deserved it! ".....You're to annoying to be my sisters daughter..ugh. " They probably got along GREAT in the future! Turning in irritation, she focused back on Ephraim, this niece of hers, she was still so unsure about, was really starting to get on her nerves, in less then a few minutes!
" Were still here because were stronger then she took us for. I don't intend to let that happen, we'll be fine.." She nodded confidently. "Minerva isn't looking so well, it's best to let her rest here anyway. " She glanced back to Nyx, before returning her attention to Ephraim. "..Then they will try to persway you to let them go with you, it's not worth dragging anyone else into this, if you ask me. "

Phoenix seemed like she would be the one to face this mysterious challenge, until Corrin came out from around the corner and made her way right to them. "I wasn't trying to eavesdrop, though I did overhear some of your conversation while I was sitting down.." She glanced from Nyx, to Ephraim, then to Phoenix before looking back at the teal-haired king. "I would be better to go with you, you know what I can do, I would have more advantage then you would have with Phoenix..This has to do with our friends, it's not worth taking risks with their lives on the line." She didn't exactly trust Nyx there, after everything she did, who in the world would trust her? "You should stay here and protect everyone on the ship." If they were to go anywhere, anyway! She was as clueless as Ephraim was as to what exactly Nyx had planned.
".......Excuse me..?! Are you really talking down to me,as if I'm some kind of weakling! ..Oh, if we weren't in this situation right now......I'd teach you a lesson!!" And she would probably fail, but it was probably best to just leave that as a positive in her dreamy brain.

Nyx's grin widened subtly as Corrin made her appearance. This was turning just perfect... as if she hadn't planned it that way, given the location she chose to initiate this conversation. "Goodness, we're graced with the hottest woman on the ship." She said with her typical expression. It was a wonder if that was how she really felt, or if she was just saying that to irritate Phoenix. Being hot was her thing after all!
Corrin's appearance was unexpected, but not unwelcome. He couldn't say she didn't make a good point. As much as he didn't want to endanger her, she certainly wasn't helpless, and her dragon form could really turn the tide in a pinch. Not to mention, she had healing abilities of her own--she could use a staff. It likely wasn't as potent as Phoenix's healing though. And she wouldn't be able to heal herself with one. Ephraim put a hand to his chin, thinking for a moment. Phoenix wasn't wrong about being able to take a beating--she was rather tanky. That said, she also had strong elemental weaknesses, which Corrin didn't share. And given the cold that seemed to radiate off Nyx's skin, now that he was close enough in a calm environment to notice--he wouldn't be surprised if she had some affinity for ice magic.
"So intelligent, how do you fit that big brain in that head of yours? Heehee..." It was always a wonder if she was complimenting or ridiculing people.
And clearly, she could hear his thoughts as easily as if he were saying them through a megaphone. "...Phoenix, you should stay." He said at last. "Your healing ability would be welcome, and is more versatile than Corrin's. But Nyx seems to have an affinity for ice, which you're weak to. While Corrin may not be able to heal herself with staves, I can simply protect her from physical harm. It would be harder to do the same against magic. And while you're tougher in human form, she's tougher in dragon form, and your phoenix form is particularly susceptible to ice. You have more physical strength, while she has more skill and finesse. You're both strong, but if we assume Nyx has any ice magic, it would be too dangerous." ...Although the more he thought about it, he did wonder if this was even a challenge involving battle at all. Why go to the effort of drawing them out for something like that? If she thought he was so capable of overcoming the odds, it didn't seem to make sense to bet everything on a challenge in the area he excelled in most. And especially giving him the choice of a partner. If it was a test of intellect, Minerva continued to seem the preferred partner, but he trusted his own mind. Besides, while neither Corrin nor Phoenix were geniuses, they obviously weren't stupid either.
"...So, is it decided, then? You'll take the ridiculously hot dragon girl? An understandable choice... Poor ant bird-brain." Okay, that time she definitely said ant, not aunt. "Well, if no one has any further interjections, I suppose I can take you both to get this little challenge started..." She was feeling quite confident about Ephraim's defeat in this little challenge!

"This world is balanced on the edge of dream and reality...
But our lives... Mordi's happiness... this feeling is no dream.
...This is real."

Meanwhile, back with the other group on the ship, a blue haired young teenage lady would make her way onto the deck of the ship, rubbing the sleepiness out of her eyes. Or attempting to, at least. "Nova... are we there yet..." She asked the person no longer present, apparently completely oblivious to what was going on. Perhaps that was one way to avoid Nyx--sleep through her entire attack! The motion of the sea below her was perhaps enough of an answer--and gods, she hated this feeling. Being unconnected from the earth made her... uneasy.
"..." She blinked, her eyes attaching to Azura, as if she was suddenly locked on target. "...Hug." She said, holding her arms out and starting to walk towards her. "...Hug..." She was so tired, and she wanted nothing more than to just hug her mother and fall asleep against her. But... something caught her attention, causing her expression to turn flat.

"There's nothing to worry about, Autumn. You know I can handle myself. When I put my mind to something, nothing can knock me off my feet- bWAARGH?!" And then she was shoved very roughly by her little sister, causing her to plow through part of the ship and straight down onto the floor.
"...." Then Mordi's typical expression was on Autumn, as she very awkwardly put a hand to her hip, as if trying to make some kind of... cute pose. But it was entirely ruined by her expression. "H-hello..." She said in a shaky voice. "Wouldn't... Autumn rather... talk to Mordi?" Autumn and Mordi had been best friends for a long time, and it wasn't exactly uncommon knowledge Mordi had a bit of a crush on her. But lately it seemed like Autumn never spent time with her, and anytime she was around she preferred being around Astrid... it didn't exactly make Mordi Astrid's biggest fan, needless to say.
"...Ugh... bad Mordi..." Astrid said, her eyes practically swirling from that little trip her sister sent her on. Mordi's ridiculous strength and toughness was sometimes hard to remember with how small and unassuming she looked and acted!
"...Ahahaha..." Between Annette spilling her secrets so easily to Azura and Mordi's great reunion with Astrid, Reiner almost felt out of place in this happy little family time! "Well, I don't mind holding hands, of course. That does seem safer. Perhaps I can carry you, too?" Better to respond to her earlier comment, and offer the evil Dark Empress a constant princess carry. That was totally necessary to keep each other safe!

"....." Corrin looked at Nyx, she looked both confused and uncomfortable! How was she to respond to something like that? As far as she knew, she was kind of an enemy. Though...it wasn't unlike her to try and befriend her enemies, this was a little different. She DID take a bunch of their friends to some unknown location, and turned them against them. Not exactly winning friendship awards that way! Of course, She also wasn't very aware of the Phoenix famous joke of her 'hotness', so the thought never crossed her mind! "Do you always compliment your enemies? "
Turning back to Ephraim, she listened to him explain his thoughts on the matter of Phoenix and herself, the irritated, annoyed noises coming from Phoenix were clearly showing just how happy she was about his choice.
"How do you know she has ice magic? ..." She didn't really see anything ice-related during their little playtime on the island! "....And I'M the hottest woman on this ship, thank you! " She hissed at Nyx, crossing her arms and looking away from all of them! She was so annoyed, one could almost see her eye twitching at the clear insult Nyx threw out again!"Ah. So I see! I go downstairs for a little restfulness, to come back to a new plan to throw yourself into clear danger! That won't do! " L'Arachel came marching right over, practically forcing herself in between Corrin and Ephraim, while shooting a weary glare at Nyx. "This plan will not take place unless -i'm- there with him. " She looked to Ephraim now. "You will take me with you instead. You know I can handle myself well, but we are one hundred times stronger together, as we will always be. Now then! " Azura's confused look didn't last long, as before Mordi even managed to make it to her, the girls attention was taken else where, and with the crash that sounded afterword, it probably left quite the confused expression on the mermaids face, as well as others! It was rather unfortunate for Mordi, who so badly wanted Autumns attention that she would resort to a bit of violence with her sister! "...H-Hey!! " Oh, gods...but how. How could she possibly stay mad at that?! It was like she possessed some kind of aura that made people unable to be mad at her, no matter what she did! "....Hello..Mordi.." It wasn't that she wasn't excited to see her, it was her way of entrance and possibly hurting Astrid that made for a very awkward greeting. She would have preferred to see her again with a big happy hug, but Mordi made that a bit difficult! "..Does Mordi have to be violent in order to talk to me? ....You could just...join us, you know. I'll talk with you, if you promise to be nice to your sister. You know you don't have to shove her away every time! Silly Mordi.." She sighed, patting her on the head lightly. "Okay, be right back..I'm going to check to make sure Astrid is okay." She quickly then walked past her, heading to the direction of where Astrid went flying through. She was quite lucky she didn't end up flying right through the ships hull. They would all be glugging water right now..
Annette grinned. "Hee,hee. It's not a bad idea, we'll keep each other both safe, while getting to be extra close. That sounds pretty great! " Though, while they were on the ship, maybe carrying her wasn't the best of idea's, she didn't think while her brain was in Reiner mode, that it could put both of them in more danger if something was to happen such as a certain white-haired girl appearing and knocking them both into the water. While she had no problem swimming, it could be uncomfortable for Reiner! ...Maybe she worried to much? As if she would just decide out of the blue to knock them overboard.

"This world is balanced on the edge of dream and reality...
But our lives... Mordi's happiness... this feeling is no dream.
...This is real."

"...Lovely... weather?" Mordi made a terrible attempt at small talk after their equally awkward greetings. "...Astrid... smells bad. Mordi... doesn't want to... talk to her." Astrid certainly didn't smell bad. And Mordi didn't either, but it was ironic she was saying this given she was the girl who played in dirt and mud all the time. Given her powers though, perhaps it wasn't so surprising. As Autumn patted her on the head, Mordi's expression turned sour very fast. "...Why her? Why do you choose her..." She asked. "...Don't treat Mordi like a child. We're... the same age. We... were best friends. Why did it change? Why did Astrid change it? Why do you like Astrid more than Mordi?" Autumn's attempts to walk past her certainly didn't help matters. Mordi's teeth gritted. "Why?!" She demanded, as a surge of energy shot out from her.
"..!" Having to put her growing headache on the sidelines, Minerva very quickly threw her arms out, forcing the ship to careen to the side. This sudden jerking motion allowed it to just narrowly avoid a spike of earth that shot up and would've torn a hole straight through the ship. And thankfully, they didn't capsize. But this journey was certainly constantly proving perilous. "Mordi! Get ahold of yourself!"
"..." While everyone else had to grab on to something to not fall over, Mordi remained firmly planted on her feet, her expression barely changing. "...Fine, Autumn can... be with the one she really loves. Mordi... always ends up alone. Why should it be any different now..." She stepped past Autumn, reaching down to pick up the hat Autumn dropped and had yet to pick back up. "Maybe... if you can tear your eyes off her for a second... to notice Mordi still exists... you can have this back..."
Then, she stepped onto the edge of the ship, hopping down off it.
The earth shot up from the sea floor to catch her, as she landed on it. Stepping forward, every step she took was accompanied by the earth rushing from the water to meet her, and then sinking back down to the sea floor after she stepped off it. All the while she clutched the hat as she walked, as if it was the only memento she had of her only real friendship. The only precious thing she had to her name, for someone who was precious to her. If only the feeling had been mutual. She continued walking away from the ship, with no particular direction in mind. She'd just... walk until she found land, she supposed.

"...What a baby." Astrid responded to the absurd scene with a mix of disappointment and disbelief.
Minerva sighed. "Yes, how immature of her to feel lonely when the only one she sees as a friend is too busy to spend any time with her."
"And that's somehow Autumn's fault?"
"I'm not assigning fault. I'm explaining how the girl feels. She fades into the background due to her unassuming personality. Her personality furthermore makes it difficult for people to spend time with her in a comfortable way. So nobody makes the effort. Autumn was the exception once, when nobody else wanted to be around her due to how annoying she was. Mordi was happy to listen to all her babbling. But now Autumn has friends. Most of her time is spent trying to prove herself to nobody, and the rare times she does spend around us Astrid gets all her attention. Autumn has friends. Mordi still doesn't. She feels like she's been left behind. Mordi will never explain how she feels, so I suppose it falls to me."
"She's 16 but still acts like a stupid stubborn child. It's her own fault she can't make friends. Does she just expect everyone around her to coddle her?"
"...She doesn't expect anything from anybody. And that... is sad."
"Sad how?"
"...She doesn't expect anything. Not comfort, not companionship. Not even love, from her own parents. The closest thing she has to an expectation is the expectation to be ignored."
"...Ugh. Our parents obviously loved her, she's just being a drama queen."
"It's called depression. Perhaps try to learn some empathy, unless you really wish to end up like the woman you so closely resemble." Minerva turned towards where Mordi continued to walk away from them, crossing her arms under her chest. "It's not necessarily anyone's direct fault that she began to feel this way. But it's everybody's fault if it continues."
"...I can't let this continue!" Reiner marched forward, causing Minerva to blink in bewilderment. "Mordi! You are loved and appreciated! I will prove it to you!" He put a leg up onto the side of the ship.
"...Reiner don't-" ...And he just leaped overboard, swimming after Mordi with all his apparent might. "......I can't protect you idiots if you all leave the ship." She muttered in irritation. Still, the fact that Nyx didn't immediately swoop in to Dominate Mordi right when she left the ship was perhaps a good sign that she wasn't going to pick them off like a vulture for leaving Minerva's protection.
Finally standing and dusting herself off, Astrid cast a flat gaze to her twin sister. "That's really the one, huh? Boyfriend of the year?" She asked, clearly teasing her for her obvious romantic interest in the well-meaning prince! "I can't help but think you could do a little better..." It seemed like this phrase was said a lot when anyone had an interest in Reiner!

"...Well, as long as Nyx isn't going to Dominate him, Reiner should be fine. I'm sure there's nothing dangerous-"
"Oh, hello, Mister Shark! Will you help me? I need to catch up with that girl!" Reiner's voice could be heard over his spirited swimming.
"...Did he say shark?!" Minerva rushed to the side of the ship, holding up an orb of Celestial Magic to target the creature before it could hurt Reiner. "Hold on, I just need to-!" ...And what she saw was... Reiner... riding the shark. "..............."
"Ah, you have my thanks! I shall call you... Sir Razor-Teeth! Let us ride!"
...The orb over her finger very... slowly... dissipated. "...Sometimes I think he's more Serenitian than all of us combined." She muttered in absolute disbelief.

"Ohh? I don't think that's the reason. You could..just be nice to her. We could still do things together, It's been forever since we all got to spend time together after all.." She wasn't exactly always around, that little bit of information Mordi didn't seem to realize. It wasn't because she was avoiding her, it was her own dream of becoming better at...everything, and for that she strayed away from everyone, by her own doing. Her thoughts were cut short as she would notice the change of expression to Mordi's face. "..W-what? ....I'm not treating you like a child." She was quick to remove her hand from the top of her head. "..I always patted you on the head. Why would that bother you now? ...You were always the cutest of all of us..it just became a habit....I didn't mean to insult you.." She did give her little pats on the head, throughout their childhood til now! It was never to degrade her or make her feel bad..
Autumn paused for a long moment, the uncomfortable feeling creeping up on her, far worse then seconds ago. "..Nothing changed! We are still best friends...I just,....No! Astrid didn't change anything..." Oh her head was spinning, Autumn was a big failure when it came to defending herself in a argument in such serious matters. She didn't want to hurt her, but it seemed it was already done. "...!!?" Before she could try to say another word, she was forced to grab onto the one of the mast beams she was thankfully close enough to grab when the ship suddenly jerked to the side, her holding on for dear life caused her to miss exactly what happened, had it not been for Minerva shouting at Mordi, she might not of even known she had something to do with why Minerva performed such a move on the ship!
"...What did you do, Mordi?? ....why would you..put everyone here at risk for something that doesn't even involve them? ...Why?! " It took a LOT to get a rise of anger towards Mordi of all people, but for this, it was good reason. She did just try to impale the ship with everyone on board.. "..Mordi.." She sighed out, slowly positioning herself to a proper standing position after that little rock and roll of a ride. "....." She glanced back to Astrid, then back to Mordi a second later. Clearly she was having a hard time with this, it showed all over her face. "I'm sorry, Mordi..I---" But her words came to a sudden, quick halt when she noticed something being picked up by her precious friend! "...Wait......what are you doing?? " She wasn't even fast enough to try to stop her before Mordi made her quick leave of the ship, using her impressive connection of the earth to help her ensure no one followed her. "Oh my god...Mordi, that's the worst thing you can do to me. You know what will happen if I don't have it..!!! " She yelled out after her. She didn't exactly want to make it world news, how defenseless she was without it.It wasn't something she was exactly proud of. "No...no..no,no.no...noooo!! " If she didn't get her hat back, everyone here would know all those fancy moves, her ability to soar the skies on a silly broom, to even her unique power, was all due to one little relic imbedded into the hat. Without it, she was as weak as a mouse. She was right there with Teresa! Horrifying!
Watching her get further and further away from the ship, Autumn had a real sense of severe insecurity, wrapping her arms around her, she sunk down against the wall of the ship. It was almost an unbearable feeling, to have something SO precious to her, taken away. It was a bit worrisome just how obsessed and attached to it she really was.
"......................"
"............................"
"..............."
As she sat there, though..in her silent melt down, she could hear the discussion between Minerva and Astrid, and although she couldn't bring herself to join in their conversation right now, she did listen to everything. It was...a mixed set of emotions for her, she was worried for Mordi, she obviously cared a LOT for her, and always would see her as her best friend, but it seemed Autumn didn't quite catch -just- how much Mordi liked her. In the years things changed, she became distant from everyone, but still found herself finding ways to spend anytime she did have with them, with Astrid more so, it was certainly true..She had feelings for one of the siblings, but it wasn't Mordi...
"Ah, he really has a way with the sea life that even myself or my mother can't quite grasp...I should go before Sir Razor-Teeth changes it's mind on new friendships.." She could hear him yet, as he wasn't to far from the ship. Annette quickly darted off, diving right into the water and disappearing under the water. As she was under, a brilliant blue light illuminated the already blue water, before it was gone again... and a moment later, the white haired mermaid would pop up alongside Reiner and his new friend! "Do you know how dangerous this is?? Both me and my mother have never been able to befriend sharks...I'm coming with you incase it decideds it wants to get hungry for a silly cute prince! "

"Embrace your dreams, and, whatever happens, protect your SOLDIER honor."

This ship was feeling a little too small given all the drama that seemed to be unfolding on it... It was a rather awkward feeling, to be so disjointed from all the issues going on around him. How much had the world changed in the last few years while he wasn't around? Or perhaps it was just in the last few months, when all this ridiculousness began to happen with revivals and worlds crossing over. "Kinda weird no one's really talking about the girl who Dominated all our friends..." He said mostly to himself, rubbing the back of his head. Instead it was just all this teenage drama. But he supposed there wasn't much more to say... but a foe like this really wasn't something he was used to. Sure, Minerva--not the one on the ship with him--was able to cause robots to go haywire if they got close to her, but that was a little different. This all just seemed so outside the scope of his expertise. "I'm with SOLDIER, so... fighting's all I do. Figuring things out, that's someone else's job." He sighed. Still, he tried to keep people's spirits up, so maybe he could try out bringing out the old Zack charisma? "Uh... hey, it's just a hat, right? You'll get it back. Now come on, you look a lot better with a smile, you know. What matters isn't what sets you back, it's what you do about it. So what are you gonna do?" It was a bit odd to be trying to comfort a teenager, but it wasn't so bizarre for Zack to do. He and Aerith were both pretty well known for trying to keep people's spirits up!
"...You should listen to him, Autumn. If you break down at the smallest inconvenience, it's not going to make you look very powerful..." She resisted the urge to throw in a comment about how, if she just listened to her, her entire ability to fight wouldn't hinge upon that hat!
"Annette! Quickly!" Annette would probably find it a bit bizarre that, rather than listen to whatever she was trying to tell him, he reached down into the water, grabbing her and lifting her up suddenly! "No time to talk! We must catch up with your sister!" He really did march to the beat of his own drum. Lifting her into a princess carry, he pointed forward. "Come, Annette! Come, Sir Razor-Teeth--to Mordi!" And as if heeding his word, the shark did indeed charge forward through the water! He really did have a way with animals, didn't he? Particularly the ones that most people feared!
"Mordi! You must pull over! We need to speak!"

"Leave Mordi alo-" She stopped as her eyes came upon the scene that just... swam into view before her. ".........." She blinked. "...Reiner is riding a shark."
"Ah, yes, this is Sir Razor-Teeth!"
"...Mordi is disturbed that this doesn't surprise her." She muttered. "...And carrying big sister."
"Yes, this is Annette!"
"...Yes, Mordi has met her." How was it that Reiner always managed to make scenes completely ridiculous and absurd?
