She went with a juice that would compliment the meal. Sarnai wasn't so sure she was willing to drink around Iexa just yet, not even a little bit. When he mentioned wanting to turn their meal into a date she turned her head to him so that he had her full attention. Very carefully she looked him up and down, almost as if she were debating it. "Mm, then I'd say you are a bit late. And undecisive." The shifter gave him a somewhat smug look. "Why? Are you regretting not calling it a date before?" She leaned toward him and tangled one hand into his hair, twisting it around her fingers as though uninterested. "Worried you'll miss out on something?"

"Regretting yes, but more so worried that some other very attractive male would catch your interest while I blundered our first real interaction. Though the hair play is always nice." He sipped his juice with her hand fisted in his hair. "Shall I order us some kebabs? Or do you feel like a steak?" He liked that she liked protien, maybe that was why she was so strong.

"Ah, you mean like your twin? Where is he?" Sarnai looked at him with a somewhat mischievous grin. It was too bad his twin wasn't around so she could toy with him as well. And she made a show of looking around to see if she could spot someone. With the choice given she debated for a second, giving a tug to Iexa's hair. "Kebabs will do just fine." They would be easier to eat and be less heavy on her stomach at the moment. "I'm not sure if I am willing to let you call this a date though. What would I get out of it?"

"I believe that my twin is in Oba at the moment. I think he is starting up a beast taming practice there, while I'm still debating on starting one in Matori, going to my friends place and helping their family with their business or aimlessly wandering before going to Oba with my twin. I have not decided yet." He liked Oba but it was HOT. "Kebabs it is." He waved an attendant over and politely requested food. He ignored the strange look he got, when you had an identical twin you got used to it. Though he rather thought this time it was because of the fistfull of hair that Sarnai held. He still didn't care. "Hmm, I will pay for the meal either way."

She was learning a great deal about his twin. It made her arch a brow at him a little. "You know you could get your twin in a lot of trouble by telling people all about him. I could go find him right now and cause trouble for him." Not that she would. At the strange look that was given she only smiled. The shifter pulled gently on Iexa's hair and brought him closer to her. "Paying for the meal is nice of you. Still not sure what I get if I date you."

"He can handle himself." Iexa was not concerned. Lynx was a force of nature. He tilted his head at her slightly. "As I have never wanted to date anyone else, I suppose we would just have to find out if you decided to." He leered lightly. He leaned in a little further and kissed the tip of her nose.

"So he wouldn't allow himself to be slammed up against a tree?" Yes, she was picking on him. She had to. The idea that this guy hadn't wanted to date someone else before seemed a bit far fetched. She'd seen some of the girls around Matori and they were very pretty. Sarnai didn't match up to them. She didn't have the pretty skin tones they did and her hair was always a mess. The most she ever dressed up was when she was playing fortune teller. When he kissed her nose she blinked out of her thoughts and stared at him. "Alright.." Sarnai eyed Iexa a bit more before she leaned close, acting as if she was going to kiss him, but at the last second she moved to the side to whisper in his ear. "I'll let you call this a date." And with that she gave a final pull on his hair before she let go.

She was the first girl he had met with acutal substance. Of course he an Lynx were a target for single ladies in Matori, he blamed his sexy parents for that, they had excellent genetics. There was just something about Sarnai that drew him in and he wondered if it wasn't her dauntless spirit, so like the women in his own family. He just understood that part of her on a molecular level so much so that he didn't really have the words to describe it. He would never be someone to date a delicate debutant. He needed a real woman, not a fake one either. "You are pretty sneaky, he may or may not hear you coming." He wasn't overly concerned that she kept talking about his brother, he loved his brother too. He smiled as she accepted the date label. "I think our food is just about to arrive."

"If he's like you then he won't hear much." It had been fairly easy to sneak up on Iexa back then. But he was also not paying much attention. Sarnai smiled at Iexa and moved so that she was a bit closer to him, more fitting for a date. "So I've heard all about your twin, what about your other siblings?" She might as well get to know about his family. "And tell me which animal is your favorite." Since he'd mentioned taming beasts she figured he might have one he liked more than others.

"Well, I have a little sister, who really took after our mother, right down to her green eyes, and a little brother who was the only one to get dad's crystals." "They are both handfuls in their own right. Zasha has spent most of her youth trying to catch up to me and Lynx, and she is starting to get very very fast. If Mom ever teaches her her tricks we will all be in trouble. She is apprenticed to a very nice alchemyst and has chosen the elementalist path, I'm sure to punish me and Lynx for some imagined slight during childhood." "Zohra is his own kind of trouble, he is cunning and energetic and determined." "Poor Dad didn't have any kids that took after him, we all got our Mother's wild streak." "I like Janarim, Snaptrotter, Radaku and Perzi. I have my own Xaraan. I'm not yet sure if I could pick one critter over any others yet."

She listened to him talk about his other siblings and smiled. Well his sister sounded like a handful honestly. If she had spent most of her time trying to catch up to her older brothers then they were going to get it eventually. The younger brother sounded like he was going to make someone pay for something eventually. "Your dad must be upset that he has no calm children." If they all took after their mother she had to wonder what this mother was really like. As he listed beasts he liked she nodded. He had a list rather than one particular one. "Nice. I don't have a beast companion. I was never allowed." In fact she hadn't been allowed to have much. Still wasn't. Despite being old enough to be on her own she had rules to follow.

"That could be easily fixed, just say the word and we could get you a critter." "Dad does not seem heartbroken at all that all of his kids turned out like Mom, he loves us all but he does get nervous when we are too quiet." "We were not always allowed to have all of the beasts in the house, Mom drew a line but we were allowed to keep them in the barn that we built to give her some peace of mind. Lynx took most of them to Oba."

She gave him a half smile. "I'm still not allowed. We travel light. And beasts can be easily identified." That had been something else drilled into her mind by Inaza. Sarnai shrugged slightly though. "Its not an issue. I'm sure I wouldn't even know what to do with a beast companion." Hearing that his mother didn't want the beasts in the house made her chuckle. "Well could you blame her? If you and your siblings were so energetic she likely had enough to deal with." She was slightly surprised to hear that the twin had taken the bulk of the beasts with him though. Did that mean they were mostly his? "Do I even want to know how many beasts you want to have?" Was he looking to have his own herd?

"I currently only have the one but over time we have built a very strong bond and he has won a few races, I don't keep him locked up in a stall, he has more freedom and I take him places besides the track so he can experience life to the fullest possible. I may use him as a stud later, a service I am sure he won't mind, maybe you can assist me in finding a female Xaraan with good lines, if you know anyone that is." His Xaraan was his pride. "I wouldn't mind at least one or two of the aforementioned species to have as companions and breeding stock, maybe Keldari as well." "And no I don't blame her for not having all of the critters in the house. Lynx had a lot."

So he raced? That was interesting. Sarnai was never allowed to do anything that would make her stand out in a crowd or would let others identify her easily. The fortune teller was the only thing she could really do. It was as public as she could be. "Only one or two?" She had to wonder if he would end up with many more than that. "You know Keldari are poisonous, right?" She arched a brow. If he got bit did he know how to treat it? Could he afford the healer bills? She shook her head slightly. "Maybe don't get the poisonous ones." The shifter tilted her head at him. "Just how many did he have? Your poor mother."
