Ottis Odin Oklei Oakleigh Oakley Oaklee O'donnel Ottoman “Ocho” Team OHMK “Pick a hand and Imma slap you with it.”
Ocho's nostrils flared as Mira interjected and attempted to downplay his comments. “It's not my place to look after someone from another team.” He spat, coming off far colder than he intended. Likely that he was still grumpy from such a late class, and upset that his jacket had been torn up. Then again, he did tell Kuro that they would get her back. Was that actual caring, or just telling his teammate what he needed to hear?
That was when Kuro struck his back. Instinctively, Ottis lifted no fewer than three of his fists. Damn, he really was still on edge. After taking a few moments to collect himself, he let out a heavy sigh and lowered his arms. Two hands waiving idle apologies. O'donnel accepted a drink from Kuro and gulped it down as quickly as he could. However, he wasn't exactly experienced at alcohol. It burned worse than he was expecting, but in a good way.
Try as he might, Odin found himself unable to hold back a small coughing fit. How embarrassing. Surely Kuro would have something to say about that at least. Despite this, the Octo-boi would not be outdone. He would continue to keep up with his likely far more experienced team.
...At least, for as long as he could.Post Count: 27

“Pregnant,” Kuro murmured silently to himself questioning the possibility of Mira’s hypothesis being accurate. “If I had thought that she was intolerable before…,” the boy trailed off before inadvertently shivering in response wondering when they might meet again. He knew that it would be inevitable after the things that had been said in the heat of the moment. Truly, the entire administration of the organization needed to be questioned with the way they had mis-managed that entire mission. They had so many assets within their grasp while dealing with a slime bag that was so far beneath their given skill set. How had things gotten so messed up? It was that blue-haired freak who snatched Aya while they stood dumbstruck looking like a bunch of novice imbeciles. He was getting infuriated just thinking about it until Grimsly offered a light-hearted distraction.
“Are you jealous,” Kuro smirked looking toward Grimsly trying to shake his own unease. “I had always pegged you for being quite dull and bland. I have to say I am pleasantly surprised,” the boy watched his colleague tilt his head looking in the direction of Mira curiously with a slightly adverse reaction. He followed the gaze and what presented itself could only be described with a look of gaping horror. Kuro eyed the plastic shot glasses that Mira had withdrawn from the cabinets warily. “You peasants really take from the refinement of a good whiskey… You know that?! Do you know how much I paid for this? And you are going to drink it from a… what? Ninety-nine cent glasses from the nearest dollar store?” The boy audibly groaned with distaste exhibiting distinguishable disgust at the idea alone. While he would bemoan about the plastic glasses, the reality of the situation was that his leg was throbbing and the likelihood of him going to retrieve his own superior crystal glasses was highly unlikely. Why share with the peasants anyways? Ultimately, Kuro would shrug off his disgust partaking in the actions of commoners which surprisingly would not take away from the divine taste of liquid gold held within. “Waste!? Why would you dilute the extraordinarily smooth, hearty taste of this divine whiskey with some other mediocre, probably acidic-tasting beverage? That is something your common folk do, isn’t it? Utter blasphemy, especially for the money that I put into such a superior product,” Kuro almost seemed offended by the concept alone. The moment was fleeting as he watched Grimsly take a sip of the drink swelling with pride while witnessing his reaction. “It is extraordinary is it not,” the boy questioned, though it was more rhetorical in nature.
Ocho was acting like an impudent child. This appeared to be a given part of his nature; however, he was bringing up topics which hit too close to home for the arctic fox future tribal leader. “Shut your mouth,” Kuro growled bitterly to Ocho with venom dripping from each syllable. He was ready to work through the pain in order to teach Ocho a very well-needed lesson when O’donnel seemed to give up entirely. He sighed with exasperation while flailing about on that terribly uncomfortable looking couch. Kuro would make the decision to overlook this instance but only this once. If Oakleigh continued to instigate, the boy would force his hand. “Hahahaha,” Kuro would eventually burst into roaring laughter while Ocho nearly choked to death on the initial sting of the liquid hitting his throat. Despite his obvious inexperience, Kuro could respect the fact that he took the drink without any hesitation. He poured himself a drink picking up the plastic cup into his open palm. He swirled the liquid around in the cup scrutinizing the delivery vehicle before bringing the cup to his lips and imbibing every single drop within only a few moments. “Think you can keep up with the big boys, calamari?” Kuro goaded the eight-armed boy into a night of drunken mistakes. “I have got one-hundred dollars that calamari will be the first one to heave… Any takers,” the boy grinned looking around to each of his teammates one-by-one awaiting a volunteer. While he was not very familiar with how Mira handled alcohol, she was obviously a party girl and certainly rough around the edges... one of the boys as it were. He had very little doubts that she could handle herself maybe even keep up with Kuro himself. “I would caution you not to get too used to it sweetheart,” Kuro chuckled with the medications finally starting to take effect. The boy neither understood the innuendos or Mira, nor had any desire to understand the underlying meaning of her expressions. This was going to be nothing more than a passing moment within their team. When the medications and alcohol finally passed, they would return to their normal demeanors and life would continue as normal. At least, that was what Kuro expected.
"So... tell me about this blue-haired b*****d? Who is he? And how do you know him," Kuro narrowed his eyes very interested in where this conversation was headed.

Mira looked over at Grimsly as he questioned her about the shot glass before Kuro went ballistic over it. She let him have his tantrum before speaking. "I can't drink a lot. One, straight liquor hits me harder than others. I don't know why, but, might be a side effect of my faunus trait. Two, something that really sucks about my trait is crap just attaches to my skin and I have to scrape it off. Doing so means I can't really hold water well enough to function for like an hour or so and have to be in water or covered in it to breathe properly. So, things that dehydrate you like booze? Probably not the best idea for me at the moment. That layer on my skin also is a large part of my immune system. Which is why I'm wearing gloves and slippers right now. And Kuro, chill out already would you? Believe it or not, most people don't have a father they can write to and just ask for eleven million Lien to be sent to them. My dad runs a martial arts studio, but he's not by any means rich. He earns enough we don't need to struggle. And I'm not egocentric enough to ask him for money for stuff I want but don't need. If I really want something that badly, I'll just hit up a club and dance for them for a few hours. s**t pays pretty decent by the hour."
She took her shot of whiskey and shuddered before grabbing her food and returned to her room, though, she left her door open in a way of letting them know she wasn't telling them to leave her alone. If anyone looked, they'd see she had some decent quality music systems laying about and, in the far end of the room, no bed, but a massive aquarium of a tank. Far too large to have been carried in. It had to have been assembled inside. It was fully equipped with a filtration system as well and a few items that looked roughly like a bed and bench at the bottom. She climbed up and set her food on a table at the top of the tank and removed the shirt before slipping into the tank and resumed eating.

I might not be rich but I know that most of or even all of what I have today are from my abilities. Otherwise, you would see me barely functioning and on a wheelchair for years” he said before taking another sip and would raise his hand to Kuro’s offering of Calamari, he could enjoy a bit of seafood right about now. With a bit of a chuckle he would look as Mira left towards her room, knowing her if she wanted to be left alone she would have closed the door by now, so he didn’t give it too much thought “extraordinary? I will admit, it must be the best I had up until now, you outdid yourself Kuro” he would commend with a smirk before Kuro asked more about the blue-haired b****d, Grimsly would put down the glass and sigh “during the class around the same time you guys said the blue-haired guy came, I found a cube with the cress of the one known as the hydra. While I am not entirely sure it’s the blue-haired guy since I have never seen him in person but the timing is too perfect to be a coincidence” he shook his head “the reason why I know the Hydra is because when I was young, I was kidnapped by a bunch of bandits who kidnap Faunus and sell them, they mistook me as one and brought me to their leader. They planned to sell me as well until they figured out I was a human, by that time the same guy who brought me completely crushed my leg and thrown me in a river to my death as I somehow survived. Now… the reason why I’m telling you this is that while there I heard many talks about this Hydra guy and that cress wall all over the bandit camp” he then picked up his glass and took a few more sips, his hand was trembling in anger… he will make Xylverster wish he made sure he died instead of leaving him for dead.

Ottis Odin Oklei Oakleigh Oakley Oaklee O'donnel Ottoman “Ocho” Team OHMK “Pick a hand and Imma slap you with it.”
Calamari... Ocho had no idea why, but that word irked him something fierce. At least they weren't calling him by any of his actual names. Not that such information would be terribly difficult to track down for one with such resources as Kuro, but he did register for Beacon simply under “Ocho”. However, he'd have been a fool to assume the higher-ups hadn't done their due diligence.
Neither here nor there, however. Far more pressing matters were at hand. Like Kuro claiming Ottis would be the first to puke. He used a cleaner word, of course, but the sentiment was still there. “So wait, if they take the bet and I win the actions does that mean I'm the win the monies?” What was that sentence? Could it have been...?
Oh no. It was in that moment Odin realized he hadn't eaten since before Survival Class had even begun. This was a terrible mistake. But he wasn't going to back down. Not in front of his team. A leader must persevere regardless of the struggle! He gave his head a strong shake which loosened his mohawk and caused it fall a bit to one side. Mira had been going on about her skin drying out or something with her faunus trait and the booze dehydrating her. She did have an incredible point about not everyone having rich parents. “It'd be nice to have any parents that gave a damn.” He grumbled under his breath to no one in particular. After clearing his throat, he added at a more normal volume, “We could always make our own money pretty easily I'd imagine. I'm sure somebody knows somebody who'd pay nicely to have somebody else roughed up.”
Grimsly was next to go on and give a little backstory as per Kuro's request. The knowledge that one of Oaklee's own had been kidnapped in the past, now he had something against this Hydra. Aya? Sure, she was cute. And she seemed to mean something to Kuro on some level. But Grimsly was his charge. No one would willingly do harm to one of O'donnel's subordinates and get away with it. “Okay, so the Hydra man!”
He clapped six of his hands together and paused to take another drink of his drink, the six hands staying together and the one free hand seeming to linger for a high-five. This one went down a bit easier, although not without a slightly visible struggle. “When are we killing him?”

Kuro might have been acting like a fool but secretly, he was learning a lot of valuable information. He was just making the conscious choice not to outwardly acknowledge any of the statements from which he had found informational, such as Mira casually mentioning that when she was hard up for cash that she enjoyed working the pole for profit. He wondered in the back of his mind what kind of club Mira would work? She did not strike him as the kind to work in a classy and upstanding Gentlemen’s club. Maybe it was the music she enjoyed and really Kuro should not have been judging her for that, but Mira definitely reminded him more of the Motel 6 and the questionable parts of town resident employee of adult entertainment. Of course, Kuro would not dare say that out loud. He had already been made witness to her abhorrent temper. Honestly, women were a nightmare… and Mira was the prime example of why you never settle down. The fact that her father owned a martial arts studio was a bit shocking! Were those institutions not built on the premise of having emotional control of your actions at all times and striking with ferocity? Mira really did drone on for quite a while. There were somethings that were interesting or of value to Kuro but just the way that she talked, it was hard to continue to pay attention to her for long periods of time. It did not help that she constantly communicated like a mother scorning her children who she regretted having in the first place. Eventually, she would drink the given shot before disappearing into her room.
Mira left the door to her room open, presumably to continue to monitor the boys or to be able to participate in their conversations from afar. She slipped into the big aquatic tank. Speaking of… Didn’t she vaguely mention having to scrape from her skin or something equally disgusting that Kuro mostly drowned out from his memory. He made an inaudible noise of disgust causing his tongue to stick out ever so slightly while involuntarily shuddering.
Kuro turned around to look at Ocho who opened his mouth and might as well have puked with that god-forsaken sentence formation. He coughed covering his mouth with a hand while stifling his laughter, which likely was only delaying the inevitable. Having made the bet, the boy really had expected their team leader to hold out just a little while longer. Without the challenge, it made the win feel a little less fulfilling. What a disappointment, Ocho… Really, he should have expected as much from the bumbling idiot octo faunus. Ocho made a heated comment about parents and while most people probably would have felt the need to comfort the boy feeling sympathetic about his situation, Kuro merely slapped him on the back. “I can give you my parents if you promise not to fail to meet their expectations. Do you think you can do that,” he questioned while moving a hand to pinch the cheek of Odin. At this point, he was unable to contain himself from bursting into laughter.
The blue-haired man they had witnessed make off with Aya was also in the faunus market. That was problematic. He must have been trying to handle the competition? Whatever the reason, this could not be good news for his childhood friend. Grimsly, of course, continued his own personal story which was dreadfully boring and unnecessary extra as his question had already been answered! “Wait,” Kuro paused quietly finding himself intrigued by something with which the boy had said, “You ARE NOT a faunus?” He took a few moments to fully process what he had just learned. How had he not been aware? Of course, he did not know… how could he? “Then why do you have that ghastly look about you like a small urchin child in the medieval times,” Kuro blurted out with absolutely no tact whatsoever (not that he was known for it).
Kuro poured another round for those who remained in the shared portion of the living area. From everything they had already discussed so far, he could tell that the alcohol was going to be a necessary part of the night. He downed the shot while purposefully ignoring Ocho’s high five while sporting a smirk which was meant to actively taunt the boy. “Why the rush? I would love to see him suffer watching as his entrails slither from his body,” Kuro spoke in a venomous tone filled with extreme loathing and hatred. You know what they needed? Food! That would really lighten the mood. Not to mention, he was starving after that repugnant adventure into the wilds with their class, as well as undercover criminal boss.
Kuro had not partaken of a good Tuna in recent times! The boy slipped the scroll from his pocket ordering a myriad of different items; after all, he was not for sure what their child-like palates preferred. He would pay for the cost of the food in its entirety (of course) seeing that it was his idea in the first place. He vaguely remembered Grimsly getting a little bit excited at the mention of Calamari. ‘Would that offend Ocho,’ Kuro wondered in passing giving his team leader a quick glance. The boy shrugged his shoulders not really caring about the answer outside of just personal interest. He hoped the delivery would not be too time consuming, not that there was much that he could do about it given the current condition of his leg. Once he was finished ordering the food, Kuro smiled with obvious satisfaction before addressing Ocho. "I ordered us some food. I figured I should save you from yourself Mr. I'm the win the monies," Kuro would finish his piece with that final bit of jest at their almighty team leader's expense.

Mira spent the next little while in her tank, lounging around and periodically swimming in circles just to have something to do as she waited for her body to normalize. She'd caught small snippets of the conversation between the boy, though, everything outside the tank was muffled so, she wasn't really following. She dragged her finger over the side of her tank and a screen popped up and she began to cycle through some posted videos to watch as she waited. Eventually, she heard a knock at the dorm's door and seemed to recall a mention of food so, she swam up and swung herself over the edge of the tank and closed her door so she could change into her sarashi and a new pair of bottoms.
She wasn't sure if they intended to share with her, but, she was still hungry so, it was worth a shot. Worst case scenario, she'd need to make another sandwich. She double-checked her sarashi to make sure it was secure as she didn't need any wardrobe malfunctions in front of all the boys there. Hell, maybe they hadn't finished that whiskey off yet and she could get another shot or two!

Well… guess I should just show you” and with that, he took off his eyepatch and pocketed it in his jacked while his eye was closed, he would then slowly open it, revealing his Grimm like pupil “now I’m sure you will ask me ‘how the hell are you NOT a Faunus’ again, but the truth is I was born with a…. I guess you could call it mutation” he would pour himself a bit more of the whiskey and stayed quiet a little until Kuro showed how much he wanted the hydra to suffer after Ocho asked when do they kill him “as we are now we have no chance of winning against him. I will help you with your revenge for sure, but first I’m going for one of his underlings. This guy will beg for me to finally end his life” Grimsly would angrily grind his teeth but would quickly sigh and relax, he isn’t one to get so emotional then why do it now? “Oh? Did you order us some food? but we have one huge octopus right in front of us we can handle don’t you think Kuro?” Grimsly jokingly said as he glared at Ocho, his glaring was even more effective now that both of his eyes were visible, especially when the new one is much more intimidating. He would then hear a knock on the door and Mira getting out of her room “oh welcome back Mira, you came just in time it seems. Ocho why don’t you go get the door?
