Sami's Chaos Crew

Paracelsian

Paracelsian was a little slow to get to the ambush by virtue of being stuck herding cats. More specifically, he might have gotten in a little over his head trying to bring in more agents for this potentially critical mission. He had wrangled two lieutenants and two corrupts, essentially giving him a small squad. He didn't expect everyone to act in unison; in fact, having the group scatter might be beneficial. The others could vanish into the crowd, but he intended to converge with Sylvite and help out if needed. One Captain against an Eternal would be outmatched, but two could stand a chance. Furthermore, it would be in his best interest to appear cooperative.

"Everyone, scatter and find a target to focus on. Do what you can to make sure we come away with at least one potential captive." That meant either maintaining the security of the mission or wrangling a captive themselves if they were feeling gutsy.

After giving his little mission briefing, Paracelsian called his dagger to his hand. He had just about never actually used the thing up till now, and its weight in his grip felt more foreign than reassuring. Still, there was a lot at stake, and he knew that the mere sight of a blade could be threat enough.

He arrived just in time to see Sylvite just about flying backward from Cybele's punch. There was no time for a quip about offering assistance, but his muscles stiffened at the thought of just running up to the senshi leader and giving her a good slice. To compensate for this moment of weakness, he pointed his dagger in Cybele's direction. "You have two choices," he declared. "You will stand down, or you will be bled dry before you feel a thing."

He couldn't exactly say that it would hurt. His weapon had a peculiar numbing quality to it. Wounds were still wounds, though, especially if they were deep and bleeding.

Cafetite

A rookie with a squeaky bread toy who had barely done anything with the Negaverse after getting pulled in didn't pose that much of a threat. Cafetite knew that she couldn't be extremely effective, but a Captain had pulled her aside and requested her presence. More specifically, he had asked if she would like some "field work," which she took to mean actually seeing combat or a practical situation, and she had accepted. She'd had this destiny thrust upon her, and she figured that she might as well do something with it.

In the darkness and among the muddled auras, something stood out. A certain flame-colored senshi's hues couldn't be entirely muffled in the darkness, and neither could the sizable Eternal aura she carried. Cafetite was intimidated, to say the least. An Eternal could probably stomp a squishy lieutenant like her flat. Still, the Captain who'd brought her in had mentioned something about coming away with a captive, so maybe, if she asked nicely...

Fat chance. She was going to get obliterated. But she wouldn't know if she didn't try, right?

Squeezing her bread till it squeaked its own greeting (so much for stealth while this thing was around), Cafetite approached Ananke with a nervous smile. "Um, excuse me! Miss Eternal Senshi..." The excessively polite tone came out without her trying. "Could you please come with me? I think it would be easiest for both of us if you just let me take you back to my managers." Manager was a quirk of last-minute word choice, but it'd have to do.

And then all pretenses of politeness got ruined by some purple-haired Magpie creep dashing onto the scene.

Stump_Fairy
Cafetite and Nambulite (see below) are here to make Ananke's life hard!

Nambulite

A harsh, grating laugh echoed throughout the space. "Lady, you've got balls! First thing you do is walk up to an Eternal, and then you just ask if she'll come with you? If it were that easy, we'd have the world on a platter already!"

Nambulite was disappointed in the way that his heels did not dramatically click against the soccer field turf, but maybe it was for the best. His colleague had squeaky bread, for crying out loud. His attention went to Ananke. "Yeah, sure, it'd be nice if you just let Easy Bake over here take you to our leaders, but we all know that's not gonna happen, right?"

He sized up his opponent, looking for any fun baubles that stood out in the darkness. A brooch or sash from an Eternal would be a most excellent trophy. He already had a bad habit of picking on people who were tougher than him, so why not cap it off like this? A starseed, of course, would be the best trophy, but he could wait on that. Maybe.

He was completely ready to rip and tear to the best of his ability, but he wanted to see if maybe miracles could happen and this senshi would accept Cafetite's request. That would amuse him to the point that he wouldn't even need a trophy. Maybe.

Maybe.

Porrima

In typical style, Porrima wasn't terribly fussed about what was going on around her. She didn't have much of a stake in it, as far as she was concerned. Yes, it was nice to actually get out and do something for her "family" every once in a while, but she found she couldn't feel strongly about it. She had enough faith in her superiors to be sure that they would be just fine without her assistance. Also, as a basic senshi, she wasn't sure she could do much, but she knew she could do one thing. She could walk around and make people's lives a bit harder with her magic.

It was hard to pick a target, as there were a lot of them. The leader would probably be a natural target, wouldn't she? So she approached the main body of the fracas, where Sylvite had gotten sent flying by Cybele, and she had an idea. "Court Objection!" she declared as she pointed at Cybele, her tone flat as ever but loud enough to let people know she was there. She had chosen to ban physical attacks from the head senshi, because if that girl was capable of sending a Captain flying with one hit, that clearly needed to be stopped.

She didn't stick around for long, however. She knew her magic would meet its mark, and so it was time to find one more target. She walked away as though nothing happened.

Quote:
Porrima has banned direct physical attacks from Cybele for 20 seconds!

Quote:
Sailor Scout Attack: Court Objection!

Porrima points at an enemy and calls out the name of the attack. She gains the power to change a "rule" of the battlefield (in an area within 6 feet max) for one person for 20 seconds. What this means is that she can "ban" magic or direct physical attacks from that person for that period of time (ie. magic fails to take effect or direct fist-to-flesh attacks are deflected). She does not need to say out loud what attack type is being banned, but it will be clearly marked OOCly. This attack can be used twice per battle.

Kitalpha

"Porri! Where the hell are you going? You can't just wander around on a battlefield! That's how you get some fat b***h sitting on you!" At least, in Kitalpha's weird memory, she remembered being sat on by some Order Senshi in a busy battle. She still hadn't forgiven that hecking chonker. She wanted a rematch. That was all totally beside the point, of course.

When Porrima totally ignored her and kept walking, Kitalpha kept throwing her silly little fit and following behind her fellow Corrupt senshi. "Hey! You can't just ignore me! And I bet you can't just use magic on the big boss and walk away from it! At least show some urgency!" Yes, every sentence ended in an exclamation point. Even if she couldn't be seen, she could definitely be heard. She was so wrapped up in trying to get Porrima's attention that she didn't care that she was signaling her location to any Order person with a working set of ears and good directional hearing.

In any case, Kitalpha wanted to make herself useful, so she hoped Porrima was walking in the direction of someone she could actually tussle with a bit. The Negaverse made her a badass, and she had a reputation to uphold.

Ananke

Ananke turned to blankly look at the negaverse agents that approached her. Ah... judging by their auras they must have been low ranks. Closing the gap between her and Cafetite she slowly reached out and pat the girl on her head. "Mmm I'm sorry but I can't go with you." She said smiling pulling her hand away she turned to look at Nambulite.

"Excuse me... but you shouldn't talk to your friends like that!" She had her index finger out as if she was reprimanding a child. "It commendable to not resort to violence. So you shouldn't talk down to her!" With that, she turned away from him and smiled back at Cafetite. "Ah my name is Sailor Ananke it's very nice to meet you."

Sailor Meissa

The arching of an eyebrow was the only indication that Meissa had heard her opponent on wishing that this battle would have been more challenging. It wasn't always the best idea to go in thinking that you had the advantage right away. It definitely gave the wrong impression. There was only silence from the bobcat senshi as she watched her opponent with wide eyes. At the remark about her ears her fingers twitched. Almost reverently did she allow her left hand to rise up to cheek before she sighed, "considering they're part of the uniform I would believe they are real. What's it to you anyways?"

Admittedly she thought the ears were cool. She'd grown to accept all the odd parts of her outfit - tail and ears alike. The part that still bothered her was the bare midriff of her chest but she couldn't really change that. Not yet at least. Figuring that now was just as good as any to loose her attack on the other Meissa steadied her nerves and called out to activate her magic, "Meissa's Silent Stalker!"

She had to wait and see if the attack would be effective - then she'd make a run for it.

Quote:
Sailor Scout Attack: Meissa's Silent Stalker
Meissa will create the illusion of a bobcat that circles her chosen target for twenty seconds. During the duration of the illusion the target of the attack will feel like cornered prey being stalked by a predator. They could experience fear, anxiety and maybe even the need to flee. It takes attention away from Meissa and could maybe leave the target open to being attacked. It's a distraction technique at the most. The enemy has to be inside a nine foot radius for the feeling of prey to be most effective. If Meissa is struck during the duration of the attack the illusion will end abruptly.

Meissa can use this attack three times per battle.

Half-Youma Captain Wolframite

He was there for the call and appeared in the mess.of running members of all factions moving around him. The half youma had already locked a coating of poison in his oversized claws and was glad for the darker fringes of the field to see better, disliking the direct light that burned his sensitive sight.

His focus was on any large signatures, but his attention was taken by a familiar senshi near the center surrounded by other agents. There he saw them call out something and directed it at - was it the senshi? Then they ran.

"Use the chaos to run but you have no protection. Idiot." He said and rushed forward. He told Miyamoto he was his after all, and he had to keep to that promise. "First thing you need lessons on is common sense and timing." He grunted as he made his way to the woods.

Miyamoto

Miyamoto had hoped no one would notice him attacking Cybele in all the chaos, though he knew the chances were low, he could hope though. He couldn't not help...couldn't, for whatever reason, let Sylvite think he had lied to her. He had needed to help in some way and that had been the only way he could really help, he wasn't nearly as strong as Cybele after all. He also wasn't as strong as most of the people in the area.

Cursing himself as he felt a signature headed his way, as he entered the woods he hoped it would help him. As branches caught on his uniform and pulled at it - pulled at him. He took a moment to glance over his shoulder, trying to see whoever was following him. Bright eyes....yellow eyes.... "Wolframite?" He called out into the darkness as his pace slowed, hoping he was right.

Half-Youma Captain Wolframite

Wolframite caught up and slowed down as he drew near before stopping. "You're a idiot, you know that?" He said, looking back at the chaos still happening between the trees.

"Picjkng a fight against your own side in front of everyone do you have no idea of self-preservation. You want to make a impact. You be sneaky with that sh#t. Higher level of surprise and success."

He gritted his teeth at the poor planning. "Your side is not going to be working with you again - though I guess no loss to you. You're lucky they are too weak willed to go for your neck."

Miyamoto

He knew it was a stupid idea, something that he'd done without a whole lot of thought put into it, but he hadn't seen much of a choice either. He hadn't expected for this training event to be ambushed and turn into some form of a battle.

Turned fully to face the half youma he almost felt like a child being scolded, but he supposed he needed it? He had certainly put himself at risk tonight, and he'd known it even as he'd attacked.

"I was hoping the chaos going on covered what I did from most people." And he did hope for that, though he did doubt it worked. But with no lights and everything else going on he could hope. It wasn't like his magic was some bright and flashing things, thankfully, that would have caught attention if it was. "I couldn't have Sylvite - the Lieutenant that approached...thinking I lied to her...that I'm really on orders side. I thought to try and help." He'd wanted to help and prove himself, even if only a little bit, for right now. He couldn't exactly join the fight out right...that would be stupid and he knew that at least. He'd just confuse everyone and wind up taking attacks from both sides in all likelihood. "I don't know what's going on...what they're planning. I came to try and start some training ahead of time." Ahead of joining Wolframite and the Negaverse. He had to do something in the meantime - right? He hadn't meant to give himself away and yet he had....

He'd hoped the darkness would cover his retreat, obviously, but it hadn't worked against the half youma. He hadn't known he'd turn up.

Half-Youma Captain Wolframite

"No action is the safest bet for you right now. You aren't good to anyone dead. You are putting yourself in danger just being at a training like this. No officer is going to believe you want to join when it sounds like a cheap plea to escape getting killed. I don't know what you even have with Sylvite right now but they could see that not attacking could be just as helpful. It keeps you looking innocent without having you as a enemy. You're lucky it's a mess out there that you can just okay innocent like it never happened. But your word against another senshi can still cause suspicion. If even a whisper gets out, you have no backup. You'll be watched. You'd be better to pretend to be good and if you really wanted to do something, something like this, then you could orchestrate an attack with someone."

He let out a sigh that turned into a growl as he threw his head back and scratched his head. "I just got here and you already had me thinking you were going to get sliced up."

Miyamoto

That was true....the part about being dead. He wanted to be useful, just not to order, but that's what he'd been trying to do - be useful tonight. He knew he'd gone about it wrong, he'd just hoped for the best and acted. Time away from the fighting and being put on the spot, like it felt he'd been, and especially with who was pointing things out. He could see things better. "That's why I ran. No one would believe me and that's if I even had time to get the words out." Which he seriously doubted would happen, time to get the words out about wanting to change sides, and he didn't want just anyone doing it and he needed to finish preparing. He needed it on his own terms. This wasn't something to take lightly and he didn't want to be forced - not like he'd been forced into all this by a single cat.

"I - I ran into her nights ago and told her of my plans. She's here...and I don't want her thinking I lied and attacking me - that's all." He didn't want her to think he'd lied and feeling betray by him. He would need her, and others, when he changed sides. He'd need friends and those he could work with, he'd have a life to rebuild from the ground up. He couldn't risk the loss. So instead he went and risked himself...then again hadn't he risked himself when he'd first met Wolframite?

"I was planning to continue the act." And he would have continued it as well as he could, while just observing everything going on, but he had found himself in a spot he hadn't expected to be in.

"I'm sorry for worrying you. I wanted to help....and keep an ally." That he knew he'd need later on. "I won't worry you again. I can't let someone else kill me before you can bring me into the fold." Reaching up towards his neck, towards the covered mark, as he spoke softly. He really didn't plan on doing this again, at least he hoped not, it wouldn't be good to upset the other more.

"Did you know this was going to happen?"

Cybele

Cybele curled her fists tighter after her first punch connected, although she took a defensive position in front of Miyamoto rather than pressing her attack. She took stock of the situation. A Captain. A Captain she’d scared off once was face to face with her. She felt Generals, too, but they were scattered, and she couldn’t do anything about that right now. She just waited for the Captain to get back up, keeping an eye out for any knives.

There were still some kind of theatrics going on on the rooftop, but that was less important now that she had someone in front of her.

She never thought to check her back.

Miyamoto was calling something out- talking to the agent? About ”her”. Who?

It didn’t sink in until he was calling magic, and the sudden loneliness came over her like a wave. She focused up on Cora again. Her old ghosts were showing up as enemies. The ones she was trying to train and protect were attacking her from behind. Then there were the ones who had thanked her with sweet smiles earlier, who had now huddled together to protect themselves and left her to face a Captain- no, two Captains- on her own, and all the old friends who hadn’t showed up at all.

How many more would turn on her? Why was she standing here, ready to give up her life for those who would die anyway, or corrupt, or betray her?

The other Captain’s question still got a scowl, but she didn’t spit in his face or attack or tell him that she would rather die. She did punch out, halfheartedly, at Sylvite when she got too close, but something seemed to redirect her arm.

Sylvite

First of all, ow. That hurt a lot. Sylvite landed flat on her butt with one hand cupping her nose, but she scrambled back to her feet as quick as she could.

Second of all, Sylvite had been expecting Miyamoto to either run away, or maybe to decide he didn’t care about being friends after all and attack her. She hadn’t been expecting him to turn around and attack his own boss, but okay.

She could work with that. She could work with that for sure.

“Thank you!” she called out to his retreating back, and although she wasn’t exactly sure what his magic did, Cybele seemed to have a blank look in her eyes. Mood magic, maybe, like Chrysocolla’s?

Paracelsian showed up, and Sylvite gave him a grateful nod, although when Cybele didn’t even respond to his challenge, she moved in, wiping a trickle of blood from her nose.

“Let me know if you surrender, okay?” she said, and began to drain the Eternal’s energy. Another fist swung past her, but she barely even had to dodge this time.

Half-Youma Captain Wolframite

"I got the call to come over last minute. I'm always try to be available for these things as a member of Spec Ooerations. ." He said, relaxing slightly now that they were in cover. If anyone came by, he could pretend to be cornering the senshi. For now, he was going to just keep his eyes and ears open. It was dark in the woods but his eyes didn't exactly blend in the dark.

"I didn't think you'd willing be here. Showing up to train with them. Doesn't seem like a You thing to do."

He looked back, somewhat disappointed he could have maimed a few people but finding the trade off of keeping Miyamoto guarded a better turn around. Ensuring a corrupted was better in the end.

"Are you willing to kill one of them? If you were really desiring bloodshed, you could have stayed and followed all the way through. You could have killed someone in front of every senshi. We could have taken you with us - is that what you wanted?"

"It's not a me thing, you know that." Of course the other did. He knew him better than anyone else on orders side, without a doubt, and better than most other people. "I'm still gathering things to leave for you - for myself later on. I thought some training a head of time would help - to not waste time when I can do something productive with it. I could also maybe see things here that I might remember later. "Things which might help, whether it be just himself or others. He didn't know what memories he would keep but he could write things down as well. He was trying to help in whatever ways he could, before he changed sides.

"I could..." He wasn't sure he could kill but if he had to, if it was life and death - he could do it. He knew he'd learn over time. This was war and it was always life or death...he'd learn that. He'd need to be more willing to kill but he wasn't yet...he needed a reason right now. "I wanted to help...I don't know what the plan is for Cybele and I know if I attack her I'll be dog piled. I might have risked myself...but I'm not about to risk myself that much - not yet. She's stronger and so are others there." Others on both sides in fact. He didn't know if he'd wind up a target for both sides.

"I want to join you - you know that. I just have some things still to gather. I should have everything in a night or two. It's been hard deciding on some things...on finding other things." He'd had to go digging about his apartment to find some things. He needed some things from his parents home so he'd have to visit them, much as he disliked the idea, they had a few things he wanted.

"I just need to hold out a few more days and I'll be set." He just had to not power up and he'd be safe. No one knew who he really was, save for the cat who had brought him into the war, so his civilian side was safe. He doubted anyone would go hunting down the cat who had turned him and then find him, they wouldn't put in that effort right? But they could....that was a looming issue.

Half-Youma Captain Wolframite

He moved over to the other slowly, stopped in front of him, stared a moment, then took one of his large hands, placed it on his head, and shoved it down.

"You are too close to leaving to be risking it all for some show of loyalty you weren't even ready to fully commit to. Here is a life lesson. If you wanna act rash, be willing to follow through completely. If not, keep your brain with you and plan for later. You can show your loyalty when you have a uniform. All you are asked for right now is to live and not get in the way."

He released his head.

"Leave the rash decisions to me. It's what I'm made for." He snapped back. "That's a order."

"You get your s**t together and get ready. Don't get into anything else until it's time for you to cross. And if you remember this lesson once you come over, I'll still be giving you a refresher lecture anyways. Got it?"

Aletheia

Aletheia couldn't help but giggle. Aw, she'd meant no harm, really, but it was so much fun seeing how easily she could ruffle someone else's feathers. She would hide that she was actually curious for now. After all, now wasn't the time for friendly banter or questions. It was a time for action, and it was obvious that her target wasn't intent on going down easily.

"Nothing personal, sweetheart!" She laughed, waving her finger in a teasing manner before pointing it directly at Meissa. "But Rumor Has It! I think I've seen ears just like those hanging up at a local art convention! You can't hide your inner dweeb forever!"

After making sure her attack had been sent out, only then did she let herself acknowledge the unwelcome stalker that Meissa had summoned to taunt her. It certainly did what it was supposed to by making her anxious, but Aletheia wasn't about to be frightened off so easily. She stared the illusion straight back in the eye and took a large step toward Meissa. If that kitty happened to have any bite to it, she had a pair of killer heels she wasn't afraid to use against it.

Miyamoto

Letting his head be shoved down, not like he could really do anything about it, he kept his eyes locked onto the others larger eyes. Nodding his head, once he was free to, he let himself straighten up. "I'd rather you not make rash decisions as well." Unless he had to, which he hoped wasn't a thing. But he understood the others words.

"I'll keep to the orders then." Laughing then, he couldn't help it, he nodded as he reached out to touch one of the others ears. "I'll await the lecture then. I'll be safe until then. I don't think I'm much into dying." At least not yet - not till he'd changed over and proven himself. He had a lot to do once he changed sides....a lot. He already wasn't pleased with the need to change sides and give up as much as he was going to have to. It was orders fault and he would make sure that was known, and felt, before anyone could kill him. It meant he'd need to get stronger....
