❝Be Prepared, or expect Death's hand to grab you ❞
So, what was the plan? Ylva gave Garret the numbers and he reported to everyone the information. To Kai, he locked up on the threats. So, the pink cave have 2 sleeping grim there. There was no other information that was useful so Kai was going to go ahead and get everything move. Gripping the hilt of his blade, his body movements were obvious. Garret, being around Kai from the previous mission, he would be able to tell that Kai was going to try and annihilate. Moving forward, he would make his way to the intersection. Looking forward, he would see as far as he could ahead before turning to the right and making his way down towards the pink cave. Unsheathing his blade, the flashlight on his shoulder would be his guide. The chance was now. There was no going back once the action begins. He didn't know exactly whether or not if anything was truly explosive down there. The twerp said something about someone following us. Something is seen ahead in the other cave... I wonder if someone had the same idea as him but decided not to clear out the grim in the process. Maybe there were secret entrances? He wanted to ask, but he felt that would hype up Garret head too much and give off the wrong impression. This was being done for Vacuo. Garret didn't need any type of credit. It's the right thing to do! Or maybe he was just telling himself that. While maybe agreeing on a plan would be the smart idea, Kai's hatred for grim and tunnel vision was going to show itself. He had his idea marked. He knew what he was going to do.
Alrighty my old friend. There's 2 in here. We going to try to take them out quickly but no need to get to close. he thought to himself. Gaining sight upon the statue and quickly the two grim asleep at its feet, Kai would quickly spring into action. Channeling Aura into his blade, while he was able to see that the creeps had marks on it from fighting, he would not bring it up to the others. He was too busy in the heat of the moment. 2 Slashes of Aura would be released towards each grim. He was hoping to be able to destroy both of them. With his projectile accuracy skill, the slashes would aim straight for their heads looking to dust them both. Maybe he would get lucky? He hoped the others at least followed up with an attack but since they didn't communicate a plan, he might have been acting as a lone wolf. Following up, he would slide a red powder into silver ultimatum as he awaited the end result of his attack.

The recollection of information had been simple input, but effective enough for a better idea of the scenario ahead. Two creepers guarding a large structure. A cavern spot known as pink cave being the focal point of their habitat. Only two grimm? Such a thing had that sensation of uncertainty. The uncertainty was not towards her companions though. More so it was towards the unknown. Grimm were more complex than they seem. Their tendency to come out from hiding places and underground were considerable amounts of unpredictability to work with in the essence of combat. Sasselia had no idea if her glyphs were going to be helpful at all in this case, but the changes of their colour giving hint they were ready to be stepped on by the next threat. They were prepared for the next creature of despair to potentially come through. Given the numbers reported, her doubts on setting them were far gone now. Her only point was to take in all other contexts given towards the mission itself. The point was to clean out the grimm. This blue creature that Garret had mentioned had brought another insight of curiosity and concern. She herself hadn't seen it at all, and as for the other two she couldn't speak for them. Should this blue creature be an option of alertness towards, just like the grimm? They hadn't seen it until now, or at least one of them had through the fog. Any potential quirks to this blue creature was a mystery. It could have been either or on the ally or enemy scale. All she could do for that time was keep an eye in that direction from time to time. The accounted grimm were more important. With the miner's helmet on hand, the line of sight for it wouldn't be too bad through the fog already there. As it was, Garret was already formulating a plan. To proceed. Anything was better than wondering about the nerve wracking foot steps!!! "Proceeding sounds l-like a good plan. The s-sooner they are taken care of... Perhaps it will open up a time frame for us to p-pay attention for the blue creature of interest,,, O-or for any other grimm."
No one had to tell Kai twice at that point. As soon as pink cave had been coordinated, and they had began progressing, he was already on route onto the kill. Wasn't it too soon to go charging in!? Sasselia wanted to raise her voice up and ask, but there was no chancing herself on waking the grimm up. The other choice was to join him on the kill. That would involve breaking formation, were she to rush forward. Ylva would make more sense to be the one accompanying on the attack, as the one taking the front. Rather than charging however, she had instead repeated the earlier action, setting the concentration to another heavy weight glyph. For this one she had set towards the red structure, just under the grimm on the right. This glyph wasn't fully activated yet, which Sasselia had taken a more precautionary step, preparing her glaive into an offensive stance.

The petite wolf frowned, ready for battle, although she was a little disappointed when it did not come for them. Garret's suggestion merely received a nod of agreement from the wolf. Moving on, Ylva would note when they got close enough to the Pink Cave. Reporting to Reveley of the lack of top spikes and of the Stronger looking Grimm than the other."Are we really ready to fight?"Ylva pondered this before Reveley would mention a swift flutter of blue streaked above."Odd,"Ylva muttered and would keep it in mind for later. As the Pink Cave was taken in more, she frowned slightly as she played with a thought."Taking to attacking the red crystal...it could cause big boom."The petite wolf pondered the possibility before shaking her head and refocusing.
Looking back to Sass, she would look forward once more. This was not the time for her chaos. Of course just as she had finished this decision she would see Sun moving in and on."What does he think his doing!?"Ylva internally panicked before following very shortly after the adult male. Of course the man was attacking with Aura, unfortunately for the human, she would be swiftly moving ahead with him and she would be glowing sienna as she did. While moving, she would draw her swords."Sorry!"Ylva shouted as she would jump when but a yard from the Grimm, landing as blinding light would surround and burn anyone's (including her own) within ten-feet of her person prepared to start the blind battle with the panicked opponents...

Kai's slashes would eviscerate the creep on the left. Slicing through it's thick skin with ease. It would dust milliseconds later. However, the creep on the right would take the strikes and rear back with the pain. The creature would swiftly roll to it's left (groups right). The beast would have charged, but instead was blinded by Ylva's light. It reeled back further and let out a painful screech that reverberated down the cave. It was earsplitting to say the least. The beast would back up against the the cave wall and try to keep it's distance for a moment. Hoping to regain it's sight.
From behind the group Garret would notice the sound of footsteps gently echoing through the cave. This time they sounded distinctly human in nature. They seem to come from the cave with fog, but it is hard to tell for sure. The steps seem hurried for a brief moment and then disappear. As if they noticed the sounds from the combat in the pink cave.

The Hound set off without a word, followed quickly by Wolf, then Blue after she spoke her agreement and Garret following her. Keeping in their formation, roughly, as the other attack they thought was coming could still come at any moment. He was almost a bit saddened he was at the rear of the group; the Hound and Wolf would get to the Grimm long before he could. 'I'll just need to make up for it with the rest of the caverns,' he thought to himself quietly as he kept pace with Blue; giving about five feet between them so they weren't on top of one another. His vision was limited by the range and cone of light of those who had the helmets on and active, giving him only some insight into the cavern around while other parts remained dark. He could feel his heart pumping at the prospect of running into battle, but he was also a bit distracted. The pink cave was just before the one where he saw the blue color; and now running they may alert whatever was in there. Just as he rounded the bend to the pink cave, he would see the attack in progress. An aura slash by Hound was sent to both Grimm; one dying instantly and the other surviving if wounded as it rolled. Before it could do much now with its newly discovered attacked, Wolf who was glowing a sienna color would rush forth...and detonate in a flash of light. Seeing it growing, Garret had instinctually covered his eyes and paused in his own intent to attack. This thankfully saved him from the blinding light, though others may not have been so fortunate. A moment after his eyelids had turned red the light seemed to die down. As he opened them, he could see a few things now as his head quickly scanned around to shine the helmet's light. A glyph by the structure, the creature at the wall screeching in pain, the giant red dust crystal. At the same time, unrelated to the battle currently, Garret would notice something else given where he had paused; the sound of footsteps. Not any type that could either be Grimm or people, but that of a person specifically. He found his intentions split; continue with the attack on these grimm of pursue this new source. By the sound of the footsteps, it seemed they noticed the combat. Whether they noticed the rest of them or thought it was an aggressive Grimm remained to be determined.
'This may've been simpler if it were only two of us and I were not the one in charge,' he thought to himself silently. He wanted to trust he could pursue the footsteps, but he was uncertain who was caught in the range of Wolf's blinding light. With the glyph he would have to go around to reach the Grimm as well. This needed to be resolved fast one way or another. An idea popping into his mind, Garret would pull his left arm with Virtue back before twisting his body as he threw it. The spear would hit true given his experience in fighting with them, and his ambidextrous nature making it as easy for his left hand as it was for his right. And given how big of a target the blind grimm was where it knew not it needed to dodge a projectile...the sharpened spear sunk cleanly into its back and through it as it let out a final screech before it crumpled and began turning to dust. It was a shame Blue kept setting her glyphs only for them not to get used, but he was still glad she planned ahead regardless. Figuring at least one of them may be blind at this stage, Garret would speak. "The Grimm is slain and there is a glyph in its direction. Be careful," he would say as warning, still unsure if it was just Wolf or Hound and Blue as well. While he wanted to rush off and pursue what he heard...he wasn't going to abandon whoever was afflicted by the semblance. He wanted to berate the Wolf, as blinding anyone else on their side was not worth it just to blind one enemy as well in his mind. But he was unsure who was blinded; and he was certain any who were would speak on this quickly. "I heard footsteps from the other cavern, so they may've noticed we're here. Take a moment to get your bearing; we don't know if we are getting more guests or not," he would say aloud to his group as he walked further in this cavern, careful not to have his voice be too loud, to the dust statue and around the side where the glyph blue had set wasn't at to retrieve Virtue. 'Perhaps I shall need a better way to retrieve this, in future,' he thought to himself. He hadn't really tried to modify his familial spears before; the worry and fear he could mess them up. But he had to face this fear at some point, as he knew his family had modified them through their history.
While traveling to his spear, his helmet light would shine over the place a bit as he looked for any other grimm that could be in wait, since where there was one grimm there were inevitably more. During which it did shine on a shed of sorts that seemed to have a lock on it. As he retrieved his spear, he would look back to the group; and would notice that Blue at least seemed unaffected by the flash. Noting the shed, and recalling what he heard earlier, he would enact a short plan; mostly because he did not know how long the effect of Wolf's semblance may last. He would hurry back to the entrance of the cave, with his light shining forward, before stopping just shy of exiting it. "Blue, I need you to help them if you can; if not check the shed for whatever it may contain while I guard the entrance till the other two recover. I do not know whom the footsteps belong nor if they will come investigating, so I shall try to act as lookout," he would say in a serious voice that didn't really leave room for interpretation or other options. Regardless of responses it would not dissuade him from going to guard the one entry into here in case of a follow-up attack with both spears in hand; Heir in his right and Virtue in his left. He was glad that with the blindness, it only affected the Hound and Wolf; it would've been much worse if it were Blue as well. But he was already thinking of what to say to Wolf in regards to using it to just blind one Grimm and their own teammate. Even if Wolf and Hound had spoken earlier, he would have purposefully not spoken until he was in position to gather his own thoughts; and to hear out what anyone may say in regards to it.

❝Be Prepared, or expect Death's hand to grab you ❞
This is what happens when you bring such foolish and inexperienced youth on a mission. Just from the short action that has occurred, this wasn't going to be a normal mission at all. Kai had it. There was no reason to truly get up close when he had range on his side. Their side?!?! Well that was if they were working as a team and it was already showing that they weren't. One Grim down and the other to go, he was in his follow-up sequence, getting closer to the second grim that he had damaged before he noticed the rugrat was ahead. Before he could even think about what she was going to do, and because of his hyperfocus on the grim and not even thinking about the fact that she could use her semblance, he would get caught in the blast. The bright blast would burn at his eyes, ending his assault as he would f all onto his a**. He didn't know that Ylva is blinded too. He did know, he was pissed and was going to speak his mind. “GOT DAMN IT!! ARE YOU STUPID?” Kai asked as he sat there, unable to see anything, he was frustrated. “ I HAD THE GRIM . WHY ARE YOU IN THE WAY! GARRET!! EXPLAIN TO ME HOW THE EXACT THING THAT WAS TRYING TO AVOID HAPPENED? “ He snarled as he patted around his surroundings to get back to a vertical base. Garret would say to be careful, but trust Kai wasn't going to move. “AFTER THIS. SHE STAYS IN THE BACK!” Kai demanded. More information would come but Kai was too focused to comment on it at this second. They weren't alone....but Kai wasn't getting over what just happen. “Please tell me exactly what was the purpose of that? Woman, I am a fully licensed Huntsman and one of your higher damage dealers on this team! What if your flash didn't work? What if Garrot wasn't there to follow up” He would sigh and take a deep breath before continuing on.
“How the hell is this an academy for huntsmen. I would think the fact he puts teams together that the basic understanding of teamwork would be instilled into the brains of the students here but I see why it lacking.I see why poor protege' lacks that apex predator confidence. Damn, I wonder how many issues have been caused at this academy by friendly fire or lack of teamwork. I hate this man's guts back there and rather eat a cake filled with hot sauce and fire ants than stomach the thought of working with him at times but damn at least we still understand the basic fact of friendly fire. Cooperation. Seriously... of all the luck” Kai added before finally simmering down.

The petite wolf was ready, and then it was tense silence. When no foe came to her, her ears twitched as she heard only split silence then yelling. Growling in annoyance, she could guess what happened. She was not trusted to kill the Grimm and so someone had killed it in her place."Are you serious?!"Ylva thought with growing annoyance as she would feel the welling anger at Sun for his moaning."Shut Up! You're like a whimpering pup that injured its paw,"Ylva snapped at him, her ears twitching as she turned to face him. Rather than raise her voice, she followed his voice (not hard to do since he never shut up)."He talks a big game, but have yet to see it true."The petite wolf thought in anger.
From the silence of the other two it seemed they had not been in her range at least."Good, two humans are unharmed,"Ylva thought absently, though still angry, she would turn to face Kai."I am fine, I don't need my eyes. Either you can adapt and we move on, or you can sit there and wallow, possibly die. Or have you forgotten that is a part of Vacuo's teachings?"Ylva stated with a cold harshness, cutting through any words he had to say to her. Frowning in disgust in Kai's general direction, her ears would twitch as she would listen to around her. As Garret had instructed Blue (Sass) to check the shed, she would go off towards where she heard the sound indicating the opening of the cave that they had entered from. Her tail swayed in annoyance still as she sheathed her spear; since having it out might mean she'd hit someone with it. If not stopped, she would turn to her right with silent steps to scout ahead...and maybe cool off...All the while, listening for any threats.

All things considered, the plan was taking forth, and the caution towards her glyphs had been advised as a good forthfaring. One option out of the equation had made itself in among the fray, raising the difficulty level for those who had been caught in the fray of blindness. The one grimm had been slain of the left, but the one on the right had been blinded at first by the young wolves power of ridding the sight. Sass had managed to advert her eyes at the right time, closing her eyes shut to the peak of light that had her seeing it a little through even her closed eyelids. Hiding her face into her shoulder had been the only fortitude given, in order for her sight to remain. "S-so intense of a light!" Only after the light had died out, had the young woman poke her head back up, eyes slowly opening to a partialness, in order to get her surroundings firm. From what she could tell, she was alright, with her sight able to continue her on her path through this. From what she was able to tell, Garrett was alright as well. The hinting of it had been foretold by his actions, after the ear piercing of the remaining grimm had rendered her into tucking her head down, hands covering both ears up. It's howling was a nuisance! The echoes of the cave itself surely had proven just how vibrations in a cave, and how terrifying it was for sounds to be able to bounce about sp. In a cavern as large as the one they resided in, the sound was pure chaos. The spear work of Garrett had been a saving grace to ones ears on silencing that aggravating noise. His clear shot had been what had granted on to be able to think straight again. With the two grimm now defeated, proceeding should have been as easy cake walk. Other problems were proving it to be otherwise. "U-uh-oh..."
While Sasselia and Garrett may have been able to see still, both Ylva and Kai were not so lucky. The position Kai had landed, as well as the erupting bickering of disagreement between the two, someone had to go and support them in this direness. Her traps were still active after all, and the last thing that had any needs of occurring was for one of them to be stepping on one while blind. Even with Garrett's own warning in regards to the glyphs having been said, the danger and potential results of it all was still there to behold. How disturbing it was for foot steps to have been heard at all, aside from theirs. Garett had a high awareness level that was well-respected from her end of things, and his idea to be on guard duty had been notable. The timing for it couldn't have been any better. They had that chance to recalibrate themselves, and to be given the chance to decide on the best course of action, Sasselia had no issue complying. "I.. I can check the shed once we a-are able to get our allies away from the glyphs. Th-their chances to be able to have their sight returned would be a beneficial worry for this moment." As much as one could blame others, any mistake was considered an even output among all four. Teamwork had that kind of share most had to consider too. While it was a crazy tactic for Ylva to have her semblance go, it DID allow a good opening on the other grimm to have been slain. Kai shou7ld have adverted his eyes ahead of time from knowing these dangers could happen, but slaying the grimm had that high key risk to begin with. Both her and Garrett for that matter, could have done something different, but in the end, Garrett had done his part fairly, and as the support, Sass could have done something sooner. They won this bout, which could disregard the excess details. Choosing her allies and ensuring their safety now was her priority. The closest one to her for that matter was Kai, who was on the ground sitting, and having a full on rant about the academy. "Wh-what does the academy's teachings have to do with this current sitation, and the choices of others!?" A crazy wonderment to behold. Where was Ylva going though? She was already risking herself, head to a direction in her condition. Was she going to be alright? Unsure of Ylva's experience with blindness, she was too scared for the young wolf to risk herself. "M-miss Ylva. Please try not to take too many steps. I do not wish for you to be stepping on anything that could hinder your current disposition! Pl-please stay in sight."
Keeping her voice as proper, and at a decent volume as she was able, her attention had then directed towards Kai, who had finally began to settle himself a little. The man had made warnings on people having to be on their own accord for their mistakes, but Sasselia was not the type of person who followed that same ruling. Watching herself for her own glyphs, she had made way over towards him, stopping just a few inches away from him. "Br... Bring your hand up. I shall take it and guide you away from the glpyh spot towards the shed. Come now... and please, do not cause an argument. We have this chance for you both to recover your sight." Whether he had accepted the help or not, Sass had either taken his hand to help him up, or had shyly reached an arm around him, to force him up to his feet, had he denied. Sasselia was not taking no for an answer, guiding him out of the harm that was her semblance. With careful guidance, she had lead him towards the shed Garret had asked her to check, taking back her space from him when they had reached, now focusing on the shed itself. "H-here goes.." Switching her glaive to axe more, she had timed herself to using an axe to bust the lock, only making one chop at a time onto it, and in-between, awaiting the echo of the noise she was making to settle. Only when had she smashed the lock, had she ensure her helmet's light was still bright, before going inside to look about. "Th-there is a dangerous component in here!" she had reported out to the group. The rest of the stuff aside from the C4, was left up to the opinions of the rest, once they could come see it too.

It was a bit of a jumbling mess of chaos and accusations so he went by it one by one; starting with the Hound. In Garret's mind, he was rightfully upset and made good points. The Hound had seemed fine, and with only one Grimm left, it was an un-needed use of her semblance to voluntarily blind so close to him. It reminded him of himself in past; where he trusted little in the abilities of others and only in his own. But that was not something that worked when in a team; it is what leads to mistakes and death. Wolf had been warned that this was something they were trying to avoid, with Garret allowing her to scout despite the risk of it, so they were both at fault in that. After that point though...Garret sided a bit less with the Hound. One student did not represent the academy, as Blue seemed to play her part as well as she could. And his yelling, despite having been warned of others in here, was not helping matters in the slightest. Any idea of them having an element of surprise was probably long gone, and the reveal of people being down here was probably known by both sides now. He could understand the anger of Hound and being upset, but he was a grown man; he didn't need to yell it to the world. If they were not in a mission, he honestly would've had the two fight out their differences to settle things but on a mission that could not be afforded. 'Things are so much simpler when you work alone,' he thought silently.
His thoughts would then go to Blue; she seemed to have the most sense of all of them at the moment. She agreed on needing to wait for them to see and keep them safe before she would go to the shed; the only bright side was that half of them were not blinded. Of all of them so far, she did seem to get how to function in a team the most. She would go to help guide Hound away from the glyph to relative safety; not taking no for an answer. 'Seems she is learning to be more asserting at the very least,' he thought to himself. She would also show concern for the Wolf who was walking to him; though judging by the heated debate she had with Hound he doubted she would listen to Blue. And seeing her approaching him, at a steady pace as to not trip or fall, would bring his mind to her.
Rather than say anything of blinding her ally, Wolf reciprocated anger with anger; though hers was at least not as loud as Hound. 'Anger begets anger,' Garret thought silently in regards to Hound and Wolf's exchange. She would tell him rather bluntly to shut up, not caring he was caught in the crossfire and more of his yelling. She had turned to face him, pretty easy to do when blind with how loud he was, saying she did not need his eyes and essentially to shut it and deal with the blindness; clearly not caring and expecting him to just adapt. Whether it was anger alone at Hound, being truly blind that what she did was unwise, or both Garret was not sure. But as she approached him and seemed intent to leave the cave while blinded Garret was not allowing that to happen. Putting his right arm out to bar her way, he would stamp the bottom of his spear onto the cave floor so she could hear it. He had hoped this would not be required but it seemed he had little choice but to intervene and get everyone back in order. "Halt, we shall not move on yet. Not while we are weakened and not without resolving this," he would say with a firm tone of voice though did not raise it. "When we entered here, we entered with the intention to work as a team. But as soon as our first fight came about, We fell to disarray," he would say aloud to all of them, emphasizing the we part of it as even if one piece of a team did not work the fault is shared. "Wolf, I know not how accustomed you are to fighting with others but you must know we are on a team and share a common goal. A team does not harm or hinder one another because they believe they are better suited to do something; a team is meant to trust in those they fight with. If anymore Grimm had come after that flash, we would be down the Hound in a fight; if myself or Blue had been any faster we would've been blinded and vulnerable as well. While your semblance can aid us, you need to be careful for those who fight with you. Even if you do not like them; this is the kind of thing your enemies will use against you," he would say firmly to her, not budging from where he moved or showing any sign of doubt in his words. One way or another she needed to learn to work in a team. His eyes would then turn to the Hound, even if two of the team could not see so. "As for you Hound; I care not how upset or angry you are with Wolf. Yelling only alerts our enemies in here to our presence and what we are; at this point it is safe to say whoever may be in here knows we are more than Grimm. While I agree her using her semblance was unwise and to our detriment in this case, yelling solves nothing. Were we not in a mission and have to work together, I would have both of you settle this in a dual. Until then, regardless of how you both feel, you need to put these difference aside until the mission is over. We are all children of Vacuo; if we bicker and fight amongst ourselves in the face of a common enemy, what does that say about ourselves? What does that say about our homeland that created us?" he would finish as he took in a deep breath; having spoken for far longer than he had intended.
He would pause after that, having said his own piece on things. Not commenting on the school or positioning of the group or any of the frivolous stuff like their insults; there was no point to giving that anymore time nor would it help matters. Sometime during all this, perhaps after, Blue had managed to break the lock on the shed and see it's contents. As she did, she would call out there being a dangerous component in there. Given his own position as he was not going to budge from his guarding position, and that two of their team were blind, he would speak for their benefit. "I cannot quite make it out from here; what is it that you found Blue?" Garret would ask aloud, though only loud enough so she could hear. One benefit/ detriment to the caves was that sound travelled at least so one need not yell loudly to communicate at this distance. He also felt no need to point out half the members could not see; mostly because he was sure Blue would realize it and he knew not when their blindness would end. For all he knew they would be able to see soon and at each other's throats again. He sincerely hoped his words would have enough of an impact on them to help settle things and that they could actually work like a team. For just a moment, when they had all been expecting to be attacked earlier and prepared for it, they had seemed cohesive. If they could return to that, they would be able to overcome whatever remained in these caves for them to push through. He also hoped whoever may've heard them did not decide to act soon; they needed this time to resolve their differences.

❝Be Prepared, or expect Death's hand to grab you ❞
In essence he was yelling at her, but wasn't even facing her. Looking more as if he was facing the red crystal in the middle. So, this was what it came down to. Yeah, the two was fighting and arguing. ******** this. ******** being on this team in the long run. He was doing this as a favor in hopes of Vacuo but it was already starting off as a disaster. At end of his rant, instead of the one he was ranting at speaking, there would come another voice. Sass was getting involved? He would hear her ask him to bring his hand up and like a stubborn person he was, he would disagree and refuse. Unfortunately, no was not taken for an answer. The assertive would kick in, causing her to help Kai to his feet. Her touch was met with a greeting of teeth before looking away with a pout. Seemed ironic and somewhat familiar. He saved her, and now it was her helping him up. Of course, it wasn't exactly the same danger level but the parallels were there. He was taken towards the shed and put in a safety area. His sight was improving but he wa still not able to see anything (who approved this semblance jk). It annoyed him wasting time like this. As Sassellia worked on the door of the shed, it was.....Kai and Ylva that probably was about to start round two. Her reciprocating comment was not taken with ease.
“Whimpering pup my a**. “ He would snap back, he wasn't able to see where Ylva was at. “More like a hunter annoyed some unmannerly heathen almost let the prey get away. There were much better things you could of done. Shot it. Stabbed it. Noo, lets use the thing that totally ******** over everyone nearby. If you gonna freak out and lose control you need to be in the back where you belong. I don't understand why the spearhead trusts you. It's going to get us killed” Kai would say more but he would leave it at that. She worried about Vacuo teachings. Was she even old enough to truly live it? Garret would quickly intervene. The obvious tone made Kai know where this was going to head. A sigh released from his lips as he just waited for it to be over. He was curious, what was Sass checking ? Yeah, he was going to ignore the man that was almost like the superman to his batman.
At least she is becoming more confident and assertive. A long way to go but much better than how she probably would of acted in the diner. Damn little furball. I care not if she is of Vacuo decent. To do something so irresponsible. So careless this schools teachings had to be getting to her. The sands of the sword (Vacuo) would not be too kind to such action. Especially in the ******** he mean someone is down here? He would actually open up his ears to more try comprehend instead of shrugging the man off. That's...somethings not adding up. This left Kai in a peculiar position. Ylva wasn't important anymore in his mind. He wanted to know why someone would be down there with them and what were they after or hoping to find? This was a clearing out mission, but maybe it wasn't Grimm they had to clear out in the grand scheme of things. “Blow it out your nose Garrot we get the drift. Leave our homeland out of this mess. Teamwork is great and all but can only help so much with the unqualified“ Kai stated simply, the area having the ability to carry sound meant he was sure the spearman was going to hear him.
With his comment out the way, he just waited for the sight to come back, slowly and slowly it was coming to him. His ears would tune to the blue haired woman's voice before hearing Garret's question. He too was curious, what was it she found. Vision impairment sucked! While awaiting answer of what the device was, he continue to try guess why someone else be down here. Could a criminal organization been underneath Beacon's nose the whole time? Or was there other connections? Smuggling routes? The options were endless.

Ylva could not see reason in his retort, because there was none in her eyes. But, to be called heathen was insult enough."You call me a heathen, yet your yelling proves you to be one more than I,"She stated plainly, tone bored of him. The petite wolf was still pissed off at the dumb blond, but walking away, she would not miss the concern in Sass' voice that had been for them both after the yelling match."He's nothing more than a big baby...And She is truly a gentle,"Ylva thought, shaking her head while keeping focus on where she wanted to go. Pausing only long enough when she had expressed concern to Ylva."Unlike most, I'm used to using my hearing more than my eyes. So, thanks,"Ylva replied calmly to Sass.
She would then turn and continue walking on her way, having no interest in the shed that she could not see, nor the ignorant pup that Kai had proven himself to be. Though it would seems she would not be allowed to leave as the scent of Reveley would be in range before stopping just a foot from his arm would block her path. Her hackles would raise before she'd relax once more and he would lecture her and Sun both. Looking ahead, she was contemplating his words. And though stern and merited, she the stubborn wolf would not be silent on this matter."Only one is weakened,"The young wolf thought as she looked up at Garret's face. She would speak once he's silent. Ignoring the yapping dog."You are right, you don't understand at all,"Ylva started calm, but her tone stated she was not the only one in the wrong."For your clarification, we are taught from an early age that we fight as a pack. And as a pack fighter, Pups brought on hunts/scouting missions witness one pairing go ahead to fight Together, not a single wolf (like Sun); because no matter how good you are, you can still fail."
"You need to trust them...something I admit, you haven't earned from me yet. But we are also taught to adapt rather than let one obstacle (such as my semblance) stop us. Adapt swiftly, and trust your partner,"Ylva started calmly. Beacon's teachings, she had learned, were very different, and it seemed that was starting to dawn on the wolf. Taking a deep breath, she would look ahead While he would address the other student with them about the shed."You may go them if you'd like, and I'll be lookout...their attraction pheromones bother my nose,"Ylva told him, her ears were still twitching, but pointing forward as she was listening to the outside of the cave rather than the inside. And maybe explaining why she had no interest in the shed at this time.

The collisions of pride among those around was a stickler in the behind for worry. Neither had made it clear there was no way either was going to let up, So much for teamwork making the dream work. Through it all, Sasselia was surprised she had been able to get Kai to listen at all to her, though through that helping about, she had been choking down any signs of chickening out. The complexion on her face being overly rosy, and the biting of her lip, had been the most obvious of signs. Anytime she felt she was going to start shaking from the contact, she bit her lip harder in order to focus on the pain, rather than her own weakness. Taking him towards the shed had been an amusing thing at best. The honest adorable pout he had been making from getting help had to certainly be something for her digress about at a better time. A support helping a combat support was a good digress to it all, but having a chance to help at al, was worth on seeing the adorable pout and protesting. It wasn't really that bad to have help was it? Truly a good thing she wasn't the type to question if this was a man thing, or if it was pride. This was a mission after all, and there was already enough personal dissatisfaction being thrown about. Kai was situated towards the shed, but what of Ylva???
Looking towards the young wolf, she had responded to Sass on her hearing. Having excellent hearing was good, but the speculation almost confused her. "M-my glyph is something you'd have to see though, not rely on your ears." Thinking that in silence, from the current standpoint, it would have been pointless to have said it in the first place. The young woman had shown to be very set in her ways, and who was she to say otherwise? Garrett had other plans, it had seemed. Pulling the more blunt and matured option, he was choosing to address them all in fairness, with more edge towards the two arguing pair. With both of their points stated out, and opinions expressed, the spectrums on both ends were going to have more work put into it all in order for anything to work at all. Truths were being casted out, and now was at least a fine point to address it all. Still, this whole situation had her casting her own look of guilt towards Garrett for not saying all too much on it herself, but more so towards answering his question on the shed with better detail. What could she even say in the first place? Their teaching and experiences with life were all too different from one another. There was no telling what kind of life Garrett had in his background and teachings, and as for her own... The topic of Vacuo had her flinching with an emotional pain, one that had to force her to stay on the task, and look within better, all while using her miner's helmet to get a good look. She had of course, awaited until he had finished speaking, looking back at the contents within as she had spoken with more firmness in her tone. Some cracking to her voice hung at the edge, but questions had a need of being answered. "There... There are hardhats, ahm... Copper pipes... Two.. No... Three shovels, that look as if they haven been used quite a bit... Or age has caught up to them... Oh!!! A box of flashlights! A few of them seem to work still!... Ah... Th-the last thing though..." Gulping in worry, a thought had struck her. What if the guy Garrett had reported on seeing used this shed!? A bit worried, she had poked her head back out to them, clearing her throat. "Ahm.. Th-there's a block of what looks like an explosive... W-with stuff that goes with it. I am no bomb expert... b-but... I think it may be C4, or components close to this..." Time to back up away from that!!! Closing the door, she had sheathed her weapon, making it clear there was nothing else in there. Looking to Ylva then, she had dispelled her glyphs, in order for safe passage for her to be able to walk about better. Though Ylva wasn't worried, Sass on the other hand had been. Dispelling her semblance though, she knew she would have another issue hit. "I-I think I shall stay nearest you for the time being, and be your eyes. O-only if you would be fine with this... Y-you two as well." Having been contemplating her choices on what to do with a fidget of her fingers and thumbs rubbing together, that was when she began to feel her abilities catching up to her. "Ngh..." Yeah... Staying back with Ylva had to be the best choice. Both her arms had dropped down to her sides, the effects of her drawback sizzling blue light along both her arms, in small jolts of nerve pain striking her anytime she tried to move it slightly. She hated it when both arms got hit!!! "I-I will stay back for n-now... I-it's the... Ah.. It's the b-best choice at the moment. I.. Don't want to hinder.."
█ *NAME ▬ Gravity Entrapment █ *AURA COLOR ▬ Royal Blue █ *DESCRIPTION Sasselia's semblance is a gravity and anti-gravity element by way of glyphs. She is able to flip the gravitational pull within the area of her glyphs to either lift things and allow them to float, or make things heavier, by way of making the gravitational pull increase in weight. It is a perfect semblance for trapping Grimm and enemies, though in order to make the glyphs, she must make physical contact with either her hand or her weapon, which allows her to channel her semblance through her bullets or glaive. When her glyphs are laid onto the battlefield, it takes one post for the glyph to be set: the glyphs white on first appearance. The glyph is activated the moment it turns dark blue in colour. Starting at level 0, she can make up to four glyphs, that are 5 meters (15ft) in diameter. Each level, the number of glyphs she can make, and set are increased but the sizes remain the same. Her glyphs are not invincible, as they can be taken down by humans a level or more stronger than her, or by those who exceed the 600-pound limit. The pressure of weight for each level is shown: - Level 0 - 150lb - Level 1 - 300lb - Level 2 - 450lb - Level 3 - 600lb
█ *LEVEL 0 ▬ (0-99 posts) The glyphs are a diameter 15ft wide.(5 meters)
Sasselia is able to lay out four traps that last for four posts, unless broken early on. There is a two post cool down once all her glyphs have been fired out. She cannot shoot out all glyphs in one go, but able to fire up to half the number of glyphs at a time.
The glyphs can either: Gravity: Bring down 150 lbs worth of pressure onto objects or enemies. (Cannot hold anyone or objects over 150 lbs) Anti-gravity: Lift objects, grimm, or people up to 15 meters up in the air within the circumference. When the semblance count ends, the person in the trap slowly descends near the end of the count. She is able to keep the glyphs apart from each other by up to 20 meters.
█ *DRAWBACKS ▬ Nerve paralysis kickback on a art of her body. It is a rigid type of paralysis that makes her immovable for 2 posts when it kicks in. This takes effect after every semblance usage for two posts. ▬ When using glyphs, she must use her weapon as a beacon, or fire a bullet with her semblance channeled onto it to help her point and aim her glyphs for summoning. ▬ The glyphs cannot be moved when created until level 3. ▬ She cannot move objects exceedingly over 600 pounds. ▬ Her glyphs can be neutralized or destroyed by any enemy exceeding 600 pounds, or by enemies one level above herself. --- Sasselia has to choose the effect on whether there is going to be gravity or antigravity set in the glyph before firing. ------- To break her glyphs, those above her current level can easily use their aura to break the glyph. Those on Sasselia's level or lower, it takes 2 posts of focusing aura to break the effects effects. Those with enhanced, or above average strength in skill have a more high resistance.

'Things are much simpler when alone,'he thought to himself as he shook his head slightly. Their pairing...perhaps more time should've been spent above to clear things up. Many what ifs came through his mind besides that one, though he brushed them aside. Nothing was ever truly ideal, he just had to adapt and do what he can as things developed. There was no changing the past; only the future. He still agreed with Kai, even if not his exact wording or the way he went about it, but things were rarely as simple as pointing it out for it to be fixed; he was sure of all of them it could only be simple with Blue. He would focus in on Kai's response after his own lecture first; used to the man's 'elegant way with words' and not letting them bother him. "That is the purpose of this is it not; to work together to achieve our goal. I am hardly qualified in working with others but that is not stopping me from trying. One setback is not enough to burn all possibility," he would say simply before turning to Wolf. Wolf...also did not start out speaking the greatest either. Her first words were that he was right in that he did not understand, and by her tone that she did not believe she was the only one in the wrong. She would go onto say that from young age they are taught to fight in a pack, and in pairings. Explaining why she went to 'aid' Hound when he went off on his own; since single hunters were unheard of in her culture it seemed. Which he would agree with that; he was not implying her going ahead at all was the issue at hand. While crude, Hound had said it well; she had a plethora of tools at her disposal to use to aid that would not actively hinder those around her. She would go onto say trust is needed, and it had not been earned yet. Then go on to say they are taught to adapt rather than let an obstacle stop you. That adaptation must be swift, and trust is needed. 'She either does not understand or is circumventing the issue,' Garret thought to himself. He would take some time to think as she finished; asking Sasselia in the meantime of the shed. He was not interested in arguing or making any of them like eachother; all he was interested was making sure they did not get eachother killed.
He would look back to Ylva after asking Sasselia. "I shall admit you are correct on two points; it is better to work in pairs/numbers, and trust has yet to be earned on this team. However, I disagree with your strategy. While crudely spoken, Hound has a point. You had weapon, surprise, and numbers on your side when you went to aid him with the Grimm. You had a plethora of options at your disposal to use, yet you chose the one that would actively hinder your partner. I understand needing to adapt in battle, as without adaptation you will perish. But this is a different case; this is a case of fighting as if you were alone. Like I stated and you agreed, I know not how it functions in your tribe. However, I do know of strategy and have learned to fight with complete strangers; Kai being one of them. It is a matter of adaptation, but also one of balancing how you fight best and how they do. None of us are accustomed to fighting with your semblance or even with each other's; if we had time to work together and practice we could but that is the current state of things till the mission is complete. Something we all have to take into account when we have the option to use it; when does it's use outweigh it's cost. While your tribe may be accustomed to it now, how wise would it be to test it out in your first engagement with Grimm with them around you before they learned to adapt to it? They may be able to continue fighting, but they would not be fighting at their prime capability; the same applies to the rest of us. Combat is a rush of split second decisions; all I ask is that you consider your options more closely given you are not fighting with those who know you well," he would state rather long windedly. He had to take a deep breath after, as it seemed this cave was going to be a test of his lungs and how long he could speak. He almost felt like his mentor at this rate; when the roles were reversed and he believed he needed no help and could take on anything. That those around him would follow his strategy without question and know what to do. How times have changed.
As Sasselia responded, so too would Ylva shortly on suggesting he go to them and she keep watch; not the best choice of wording currently in his mind. For now, Garret would stay where he was though as he would speak after a small sigh. "Thank you Blue, that is valuable information," he would say with a brief look to her before looking to Wolf. "Attraction pheromones? If you wish to lend your ears and nose you may, but till sight is returned I shall remain.." he would begin to say before he would hear Blue speak again; his pheromone comment was because he was oblivious to any attraction the two had. He had heard all Blue said before about the supplies, but needed to speak with Wolf first on things to hopefully lead to a change; or at least attempt to. Blue would say she would stick near Wolf for the time being to act as her eyes if that was alright. "Very well; if you are both to stand watch then that is acceptable," he would say as he looked to Blue. Though he would notice something was...odd now. While not in the blinding flash, and while seeming fine before, she suddenly seemed to be in some pain; her arms were twitching and her face would occasionally wince. Had he not been looking to her and about to walk by her to the shed, he likely would have been clueless to it. "What is troubling you Blue, you seem in pain?" he would ask simply with a bit of concern in voice. Mostly because as far as he saw nothing had happened to her, and he was as yet unaware of what happened to her arms. After hearing her out, he would head to the shed now. Opening it, he would retrieve some of the belongings...namely two shovels and the explosive. Knowing not the intent of the others down here, he did not trust leaving the explosives here for someone to circle around them and trap them underground if desired. It could also prove useful for their temporary sealing...or desperation in combat if it came to it. The shovels would be generally useful to have should any need for them arise; he picked two because one he would leave by Hound for when he could see. The flashlights and rest he would leave there; they could come back for those if need be. "When you both can see, we set out; who knows how many others know of us or what is being prepared for us, if anything. Grab the shovel when you can as well Hound; I shall be taking one and the explosive too. I would rather have it than leave it for any other to take and use against us. It may even prove of use," Garret would command. They had spent long enough here; regardless of how fruitful their conversations were or the current states of their members they could not afford to rest for longer.

❝Be Prepared, or expect Death's hand to grab you ❞
Kai would just let it die. For now. It was not worth wasting his breath. This person was not getting it and to think she called herself a Vacuo native was laughable. They were just two different worlds but honestly more similar than one could imagine. Maybe. She was tribal and had her way of the pack, Kai was taught to depend on himself and efficiency. It didn't matter though as what mattered was what was in the Shed. With Sassellia calling out everything that was in there, it wasn't anything he could really do with most of the stuff. Kai would deduce it was just honestly standard miner equipment. C4 to blow holes and shovels to refine them. There wasn't really much mystery there for him. He was unsure why Garret was even trying to get through her thick skull about the issue she was presenting. He was more patient of the two that was for sure. At least things were going back to normal. Sight was returning back to Kai more and more. He would be fine by the end of this he was sure of it. He could be wrong though.
Moves were made and it would seem that the two students were going to take the rear. Kai was fine with this, but there was something that she said that made him not notice Sass's little issue she was having. “The hell you mean by that?!?!? Attraction Pheromones? If you trying to be funny in a time like this you just proving you nothing more than an immature heathen! How could I be attracted to something so delicate and meek!!” Kai snarled. Attraction? What ? Who ? Him ? TO someone like HER? Ridiculous. She must have been mistaking their connection for attraction. They just had a smile past. He offered to teach her. Nothing more was there. The darkness along with his helmet was hiding the faint blush that was coming over his face as actually thought about it. Did Ylva get to his head? Or was she noticing something? This would soon be broken though as Garret asked about Sass. Kai couldn't see anything yet still, so was nothing he could do but he still seemed concerned just by his facial expressions. Of course they be hidden from others but that was beyond the point. He said she looked in pain, but...how?
There wasn't a great response. She just would hang back with Ylva and he would make no gripe about it.
His sight would now be returned to him. While not fully yet, it was cleared up enough where he could see. The sight almost as if looking into the sun. He could work with this at least. Grabbing the shovel, he would let it rest over his shoulder while keeping his blade in his other hand. The sight becoming more and more stable now for him. Feeling resentment from the situation, Kai would grow agitated. “Let's just get going” he commented with a raised tone but not too loud where sound would carry far. It would be more than obvious that Kai was heated but from what exactly? Take a guess. Kai would start moving forward at a slow pace. The blindness completely wearing off now as he would move where directed to. “We going forward right? Ahead down the path before we split off here?” Kai asked to make sure he was going correct way. If he was, he would continue. If not, eh would go correct way Garret wanted them to go.

Having her sight back it did not take long for her to be looking/facing out of the cave while the others spoke. She frowned slightly in displeasure but, what he said was wise. The future elder bit her lip, glad he couldn't see since she had been trying to make herself seem as stoic as possible. Whether his question was rhetorical or not about her tribe she didn't know, so she would not answer for now. Throughout Reveley's speech, if he looked, her tail's bristling would settle down to normal, swaying slowly from side to side as she pondered. She seemed to be calm for now at least.
In truth, her silence was not just thinking over his lecture, but also of whom he reminded her of; though he would not know that."His words sound like Him...*sigh* but he is right,"Ylva thought begrudgingly before shaking her head and spoke of pheromones. From his tone, she could tell he was confused. Then Kai would sputter which only made the wolf chuckle."Pheromones don't lie...sight should be back now,"Ylva replied to the sputtering idiot before stating the fact calmly. Obsidian eyes looked over her shoulder briefly before looking ahead in the dark with her animalistic night-vision. Her focus would then be on the human female with them."What is her distress..."The young wolf pondered, though she would be silent for now before walking back."No sounds ahead...I'll stay back until she's better,"Ylva stated calmly when in speaking range to be heard without raising her voice. She would then stop by Sass and make her other statement, waiting for the males to speak their minds. If they were to move on, she would as well, being Sass' guard and arms until then, if they stayed, she would keep an eye on Sass.
