He leaned over so that she could top up his cup, "Thank you, this is some good wine." "I have no doubt that your future daughters will be just as beautiful as the others, Aisha gives good blessings. I hope my children are as beautiful one day. Good genetics I say." "Hmm." He fished around in his pocket. "I have some rare Oban spices if your interested in trying something new for the next meal, just mind the really red one, its pretty hot." He fished a pouch out of his pocket with smaller spice bags inside. "Its the least I can do, I have a ton of them."

She filled his cup as well and nodded. "Its one of my favorites. Its a local wine too. Made in Matori." Once his mug was full she set the bottle back down the motioned in a direction to the left. "Get it at the market over in the next town." V'demhe nodded her head slightly at the compliment to her daughters, both current and future. "It would be interesting to have a son. I know Aisha has blessed some with a hybrid boy before." As he pulled out the spices she grinned and held her hand out for them. "Which ones did you pick up? Masika lived in Oba for a long while and she has come to like their food more than others." Dem paid attention to all her children and their likes.

"Sourleaf, Spiney Okala flowers, that red hot pepper stuff, I'm afraid I still can't pronounce the name they use for it, so I will spare you the giggles listening to me try and Marsh Talla Root." They were my favorites while I was there so i brought a ton back, just in case I don't feel like visiting Oba for a while." "Hah! Pity I didn't run into her there, I did spent most of my time in the bush." He returned to sipping his wine, "I will definitely enjoy having such a good winery so close." He was starting to feel a little floopy.

17/20 As he told her the names, or at least most of them, she nodded along. "Masika likely knows which ones are the best to use for certain dishes. I'll have to ask her." When he said it was a pity he hadn't run into her daughter she chuckled. "My little waterbug was and still mostly is a city girl. She didn't go beyond the city unless she had to." And there were some parts of the city she didn't even go to. In truth she was impressed her daughter had left the city to come find her. She grinned and brought her cup close to her. "Oh yes, having the winery close is definitely a perk." Dem took a long drink then moved so that she could get the salmon out of the fire. It was done cooking by now and ready to be enjoyed. Before either filled up on too much wine she wanted to at least enjoy the food.

"A city girl huh? Well Oba definitely has enough of them, some of them I was surprised that they had left so much desert alone without trouble. Then when I went out far into the desert there was no one there at all. Could have heard a tumbleweed fart if you know what I mean. Oba is a place of paradox's but it works for there. I can't say I don't miss my place in the desert but it was definitely time for a change or the next time I were to come out you could have braided my long grey beard for me." he chuckled. "I can see why you chose Matori, its more balanced, and its beauty is pure, not rugged." His stomach rumbled loudly. "Sorry, apparently I missed salmon a lot."

"I didn't pick it. Virain did." It had been where his family was and she had wanted her girls to know that side of their heritage as well. Over all she'd been satisfied with the choice. Matori was a nice place to be year round. Even during the rainy season. When she heard his stomach speak up she was pulled from potentially sad thoughts and laughed at him. With a small shake of her head she pulled the food so that it sat between the two of them on a large leaf as a plate. "Don't worry, I missed it too. Can't get this in the jungle." Dem pointed to the food. "Dig in, but I warn you.. its hot." She thought she better warn him in case he got a bit impatient.

Kiyelt picked up his weapon, a fork and dug in. It was so freaking good but as she had said very hot so he only took small pieces and blew on them well before putting it in his mouth. He hated the prickly feeling of burnt tongue and how it spoiled his coffee in the morning. "Hrrnnng, Dem, this fish though, so good!" It made sense that Virain had picked Matori, he must have been in the sun too long. Long enough to adle his poor brain anyway. The salmon bursted with smokey flavour, fresh as could be. "Heh, I think I will be catching more salmon for you at some point."

19/20 Well at least he didn't burn himself. She waited until he had at least two bites before she started to eat as well. Dem chuckled as he seemed to gush about the food. "I've learned a thing or two. Cooking for kids is hard when they all like different things." Masika liked things that Valharii didn't but Valharii was also used to the less rich tasting things. "Oh yeah? I'll hold you to that." Since she was terrible at fishing it would be nice to have someone that could make up for that lack of skill. As she ate she also drank and when her mug got low she grabbed up the wine and refilled her cup. Before it was completely gone she also filled Kiyelt's so that she couldn't be accused of drinking it all or not sharing.

"It would be my pleasure!" And if he had to go to the market too somedays to get fish, well he was man enough to tell her. It had been a spell since he had gone fishing. "If I er, if I fall asleep, just leave me by the fire. I'm used to it." He speared a bit more fish. He was content, he was full, he felt very safe and he was a bit drunk. Therefore it was likely that at some point he would keel over and fall asleep. He could also see her picking him up and the thought made him smile lol. He was heavy but she could take it. Much better she know she could just leave him. He liked sleeping outside.

She was downing the rest of her drink when he told her that she could just leave him by the fire if he fell asleep. Dem chuckled some, spilling a bit of her drink which made her free hand come up to wipe at her chin. Afterward she shook her head at him. "I'll move you back a little at least." She didn't need him burning his foot or hand or something on the embers if he rolled too close. As it was she would likely join him in sleeping outside. It was a nice night and the company was good. There was no need to be on guard since her familiars knew to keep the perimeter around the house clear. At most they might wake up with Maha, her radaku, curled up with them. He was her first baby and he loved cuddles.
