Cody's boltund was about to run inside when Cody stepped out as he already figured out something was wrong. He quickly moved, blowing a whistle he had as he followed Archie, Metagross and Boltund followed. The trainer laughed at what she said as he watched her call her arcanine away as he smirked, "So its 3 against 1... and your Zorouark isnt the best, hes barely held us back before and that was with the aid of your arcanine. Well we have something special for him." He said calling out Ariados, the bug/poison spider pokemon clicked as it appeared which dark types are weak to bug types, "Ariados use Signal beam!" The trainer called which as the bug pokemon shot the beam towards Sebastian, something moved in front of the dark type. Metagross blocked the signal beam bug type move and brushed it off as it ended due to it being not very effective to the steel type. Cody walked up, "Sebastian, stand down and please defend Violet, you too Archie." He asked the two pokemon as he stepped forward next to Metagross. The three ruffians looked at him as the leader laughed some, "Aww... are you Violet's boyfriend or something, come to protect her?" He mocked as Cody seemed unphased, "Thats up to Violet to decide but she is my friend and Ill be nice and ask you to leave and never return." He said calmly as the man laughed. His Ariados and Tyranitar seemed eager to fight as the other two held pokeballs ready to fight. Cody shrugged, "Suit yourself." He said as a hiss was heard off to the side, crawling out of a tree was Salazzle, the fire/poison type crawled down the tree leaving scourch marks from its feet on the trees as it went over to Cody, eyeing the Ariados. Cody's Empoleon waddled up next to him as well as Gosliopod, followed by Alolan Sandslash. Cody looked at them, "Salazzle, use fire blast... Empoleon, use aqua jet." He ordered as the two pokemon complied as the fire blast basically knocked out the Ariados and his Empoleon's aqua jet sent the Tyranitar flying past the leader ruffian as the water type collided with the rock/dark type. The other two ruffians were shocked at the display of power as Cody looked at them, "Im gonna be here for a while, so if you come back again, i wont hold back. Never come back here again or you will know the meaning of trouble." He stated as the other two ruffians began to flee before they even had a chance to call out their pokemon.

Cody saw that the ruffian abandoned the two now weakened pokemon which he walked over to the tyranitaur and saw that it even when hurt flinched as if expecting to be kicked by its trainer. Cody moved his bag and pulled a healing item out, crouching by and gently tending to the injuried pokemon. Once the healing item began to help he went and did the same to the Ariados which both pokemon looked confused, "Dont worry, you both will have better homes soon, i promise, I have faith me and Violet will find you better trainers." He said as he looked at Violet, "I actually know of a bug santuary who would probably be happy to house Ariados in another region, do we still have the trade machine hooked up?" He asked knowing he could contact the santuary and send Ariados if they would accept the bug type.

He looked at them, "Gosliopod, how about you lead Ariados back, their should still be some bug type food placed out." He said as the large bug/water type nodded before chirping and leading the spider like pokemon back towards the ranch. He then looked at Metagross, lets lead Tyranitaur back to the ranch." He said as he told the ground type to follow them as they would begin to head back as he walked by Violet, "You okay?" He asked kindly to her.

He nodded a bit as she asked him that, "Yeah im fine... and honestly it was kind of nice. I mean, more so the fact that im terrible at tending to all pokemon. I know how to train and help a pokemon become stronger without forcing them but nurturing and raising... that stuff seems more foreign to me." He said softly but he smiled, "However, if i think about it, if their are people like that wanting to hurt the pokemon here, then me and my pokemon will gladly protect this ranch, including every person and pokemon that seek shelter or require aid. Now that im here, I can protect, allowing you who is 1000 times more nurturing then me to help raise the pokemon to be able to find trainers who will care for them." He stated kindly as he looked at Sebastan, "I know you dont fully trust me, ive seen you looking at me as if watching me. Thats fine, but if im going to be the ranch protector, that means Violet will be safer because you wont have to worry about protecting her and the ranch pokemon." He stated kindly, thinking the dark type pokemon would be relieved to here this.
