Browine smiled happily at Tempest. He only kinda remember some parts of the journey only when he had been out of the back. "Adahy is not much of a talker that's for sure." He shrugged as he moved on to another container of fruit juice. "So what do you think of the fruit juice you just try?" He asked her interested in her thoughts. This one was filled with a pale yellowish color liquid. It honestly gave him pause since it kinda looked like pee but the smell was sweet so he knew that was not the case. Looking up, Brownies both sees and hears a sooty lilac doe call out a "Good morning all." Him not being the rude type called out "Good morning to you too." He just could not help it when someone was so happy he just had to jump in and this doe was clearly happy this morning. Taking a large gulp of the yellowish liquid, he found that it was clearly some type of cider. "This one is...ummmm the best Mille." he took another gulp not wanting to put it down. his tummy had even stopped grumbling at him finally finding satisfaction form the crisp sweet cider. After that cut was completely finished he could not wait to try the next fruit juice. wc:219

Obwain hummed thoughtfully, tilting his head. "I'd rather be skeptical and know the truth, even if it's a harmless difference," he decided. "The rats here seem kind enough, but what of the ones that aren't? Shouldn't we be aware of where their powers come from? I'd just as soon want to know about a noul's abilities and motivations if they turned against me." His expression turned a little concerned as the other doe left. "Hope I didn't scare her off. What did you do with crystal, Moon.... Mist was it? I'm Obwain." He nodded along with the buck agreeably. "I'm not the smartest buck so I don't know that I can help, but I'd really like to know what they find out."wc: 122 total: 327

Misty could just taste the roasted food on the skewer before a very happy voice flooded the area. Ears flicking backwards as she nearly flinched. Someone was openly happy today. Lifting her head and glances around she spotted a lavender and black doe whom just arrived and looked like one great big bundle of sunshine today. Maybe it was all the flowers that were around and the giddy feelings that were bubbling up. Misty wasn't sure what it was. Shaking her head, she looked back at the one tending the skewers and stepped closer. "I'll take one of those please." She pointed at the skewers with a hoof. The vendor smiled and nodded. Picking one up, he laid it on a nearby covered stump that acted like a table for her to retrieve. As a payment, Misty left a couple odd stones she had found in the Bog. They were very smooth as if polished to shine, even if they were as black as ink. Taking the skewer she headed over to a little more secluded spot to eat her food. Along the way she passed the Doe whom has shouted 'Good morning' to everyone. Giving a side glance she shook her head again, she just wanted to eat right now. Then maybe she could maybe feel more awake and very much a noul, instead of something that crawled out of the Bog Muck. WC: 234

A voice responded with a friendly tone capturing Muse's attention immediately. The speaker made her giddy with excitement for she wanted to meet a dire rat that she heard so much about. To her amazement there seemed to be a couple interacting in the festival. Immediately, she made her way to Brownie's location simply excited to meet a dire rat.
"Hello there" she spoke in adoration, "Please excuse my excitement for I've never seen a dire rat before".
Being Polite as she could she nodded her head, a beautiful smile painting her face like the sunshine warms Homewood.
"I'm Muse. May I ask your name?" she queried with a giddy sense of accomplishment. So many questions she wanted to ask but her heart and mind warned she could be overdoing it. Noting the dire rat seemed to be taste-testing some type of liquids she greeted the one toting her wares, "Good morning. May I try some of your juices"?
It seemed ages she'd gotten to get out an socialize other then tending other's gardens in their absence. She wanted to meet everyone here and celebrate as one of the community. First she'd try some juices, then some treats, followed by some flowers in her mane and tail. This place was so lively she just had to see and do everything around her.Muse WC: 222 Pippen had awoken to the chatter of a festival as the celebration took place in Homewood. He yawned seeing Ayala basking in the sun noting that Tsarine was out for the day. It wasn't that his caretakers were too doting on him as a pup rather, he was a more independent type seeking adventure without the guidance of parental figures. Still, if it were not for those two he surely would have drowned otherwise.
Letting himself quietly out of the clearing he lived within he scuriied toward the festival, ears perked for any danger. When other rats like himself were spotted he settled down and entered the festival. The smell of flowers were mesmerizing as were the treats and brews as they reached him from different locations. There were various nouls of course in conversations that he ignored for the most part. He was more into inspecting the place and finding the finer things in life. Noting one of his kind drinking juices made him ponder if he should partake as well. Rubbing his paws together he headed over noting the darker doe drenched in purple who was always such a chipper sort. He could tolerate her he was sure as her temperament could make anyone feel the warmth and love she gave freely. Then he glanced back to the juices.
A little fermented juice never hurt anyone, right?Pippen WC: 229 Quote: Pippen is also open for interaction

“I like your name, Whirra,” she replied. Elysia slid the rest of the way down her vine rope, plopping onto the ground. She quickly washed her whiskers and then sat up. Nouls climbing trees was an interesting picture that floated through her head. Being able to climb nearly anything was quite useful. “It is fun to be able to get up really high. I was born in the barrens and there wasn’t much near our burrow that was very high. Maybe some rock piles but that was about it.” She gazed up at the tower tree, which being only a foot tall, they looked bigger to her than a noul. Tempest smiled at Millesime, “No worries, you have already served me and had other customers. Thank you very much for the beverage. It was delicious!” Tempest returned her attention to Brownie and nodded about Adahy not being much of a talker. Tempest was very much a talker but was working on not running over others with her words. It was a processes. “I tried the red fruit juice. It was a nice delicate balance of tart and sweet. Very refreshing,” she replied in the end. “I think it’s time I move off and go see what else I could be doing. It was nice meeting you Brownie.”
Tempest lightly trotted off in search of something to do or perhap another noul she could converse with. He wasn’t quite in her line of sight but she turned her head just at the right moment. There in the shade of the tree was a familiar grey buck. It had been sometime since she last saw him, like Brownie. She hadn’t had the opportunity to converse with him on the journey either. So Tempest decided why not now? She trotted up to Fiontan and grinned. “Hello there fellow traveler,” she greeted cheerfully. “I remember you from our journey to find Wanderlust. I’m Tempest.”WC: 320 Total: 1,234 ( what the heck xD ) Revel1984 Elysia to Whirra. Tempest to Millesime.

There was nothing more fun than travelling with an entourage. It made the trip from his teahouse club in the ruins to the boundary between Homewood and the barrens all the more entertaining. So as Xochipilli, or Xo as everyone called him, arrived at the Flower Festival, it was with dramatic flare. His friendly gang of dire rats sat on a backs of noul followers, playing their instruments. Their lively tune arriving before Xo and his party. As they appeared among the those already present, his beautiful sister Xochiquetzel sang along to the music.
Xo directed his followers and dire rat band to where they should set up. An adorable small stage was quickly assembled and the rats relocated and started up a new lively tune for all to hear. Xochiquetzel rested her voice for this song had no lyrics. Xo helped lay out soft blankets and pillows in one spot for those who might want to rest, leaving a spot for those who wished to dance to the music. His followers set out assorted sweet treats and teas for those who stopped by. He laughed in delight and danced jovially to the music being played. How excited he was to be here for this festival. Brownie smiled as Tempest described the fruity drink she had had. "You have a great way with words. I might just have to try that." As Tempest said she was going to move on, Brownie was glad to have seen her here and was sure they would see more of each other later. "Good bye for now." He called after her. He then turned his grin to the cheerful doe that was coming over to them. She clear was excited and energized as she approached. As she explained that she had never seen his kind before understanding come over him. "Yes we are still pretty new to the area." he nodded smiling back at her. Muse's energy was contagious and he giggled or maybe he had had to much cider? Mentally shrugging he turned his attention back to Muse. "My name is Brownie, like the rich yummy chocolate dessert." Ok the cider was for sure going to his head. Setting away form the liquids he asked Mille "Do you have some water? I think the cider is stronger then I thought. Or maybe it drank to much?" he giggled again. "It might be a good idea to find some food too." He added in his thoughts. "So what would you like to know?" He smiled up at Muse who clearly ment well and had questions just bubbling at the surface. He did not mind any questions a noulicorn might have for him. He understood that with understanding came acceptance and there was still many nouls that where unsure about the dire rats being in the homewoods. wc:266

Ragnar smiled to Kachina as the doe bade them farewell, watching her go to ensure she had made it to her next destination. Fewer worries of a fellow noulicorn getting snatched by a catbeast here in Homewood, but he felt compelled to do it all the same. "I like the way you think, Obwain," he said with a smile, turning his attention back to the conversation at hand. All this gossip and speculation about the dire rats had piqued his interest. For all that he felt it could be dangerous to allow enemy creatures to roam so freely in their midst, he also had to admit that it could be a good idea if there was a way to guarantee that they wouldn't just as easily turn on noulicorns again. "Without knowing where their powers come from, and what really was the root of this sudden change in behavior, it's impossible to tell how much of it is temporary or permanent."As Moon Mist recounted her recent journey, he felt his curiosity grow. Twisted forests, crystal beasts... it seemed the gray doe had traveled far and seen parts of the Barrens that he had not. Ragnar couldn't help but appreciate the anecdotes, which were undoubtedly planting seeds into his mind that would direct more of his travels come spring. "Curious..." he said as Moon Mist finished. "Crystal beasts, you say? That sounds both incredibly powerful and terrifying. Potentially dangerous for our settlement here at Homewood? Although if they were defeated, maybe they were just guarding whatever was out there? Did it seem like there was anything terribly precious out there?"

Moon Mist watched the other doe depart to the shade. For now she was happy to be in the sun. The atmos users had done an excellent job providing just enough cloud cover that it was the ideal temperature. For her, at least. She nodded to Obwain. "Yes, Moon Mist. Nice to uh, meet you." She spared one last glance for Kachina, and then turned back to the conversation at hand. "Like I said, I doubt there's any better remedy for knowing their intentions than speaking with them." Her gaze strayed to a near by rat. One she thought had been brought back by the adventurers. "The crystal is in my home. I'm keeping it safe and tucked away. Though, of course, if the Council asked for it I'd turn it over. " Her gaze drifted firmly to the fruit juices, before her attention was called back. She wasn't sure she was doing a very good job explaining what had happened to the rats out there. But both of the bucks seemed to have good points. "I think, well I think most of us who were there think, that the beasts we encountered were guardians. I didn't see it myself, but others in the party found a deep, ancient pool. They said the water was very pure. Finding the water was actually the original group's motivation to go out there, I believe. But the crystal beasts seem intent on it staying in those caves. Can't say I blame them. If some party of strangers tramped into Homewood and tried to take our plants with them I'd certainly have a word or two to say about that ..." As soon as the words left her mouth, she wondered if perhaps that was the wrong thing to say, given their proximity to group of strange dire rats who now wanted to make lives for themselves in Homewood. wc: 313 wc: 1031

The air was humming with excitement as Wynter approached the festive area. He had to to keep his head low so that his horns did get entangled in the over head branches. When he stepped clear of any low hanging branches he lifted his head and looked around. The sun was bright here as it shown down through the leaves above. Flowers were wrapped everywhere. The air hummed and was extremely warm. Shaking his head so that it traveled down his back and out his tail. White hair almost flashing in the light, it certainly glanced off his long curving horns that rested behind his ears. "What a lovely gathering of nouls." he commented as he glanced around at the mingling bodies. Stepping carefully through the others, minding to not step on tails or hooves or even little paws. Wynter continued to glance around, once and a while down with light green eyes. His mind seemed almost elsewhere that he didn't realize that he was walking towards someone. Absently he bumped into a dark grey and purple doe, staggering backwards he looked a little bewildered. "Terribly sorry about that, miss." He said backing up a step or two, his horns getting themselves tangled in a garland that hung over head. WC: 210

Muse couldn't hep but giggle listening to Brownie slowly be affected by the taint of fermented juices. He was a sociable rat definitely standing a foot tall since she was a smaller stature herself.Actually meeting one was an achievement, accomplishment in her bucket list if Muse were to have made one.
"Brownie. I like that. You have a wonderful name".
Being extremely polite with a good nature she wanted to learn all she could about this new friend. Pondering her questions when he asked she spoke once more, "So many questions... um where do you come from? What's your favorite foods? How do you like Homewood?"[/color] Not realizing she had belted out so many questions she quieted instantly.
"Oh my I hope you could understand all that". Muse was a bit embarrassed her excitement had overwhelmed her. Feeling a tad awkward she didn't realize that someone else had accidentally bumped into her. Instantly, she shied a bit shaking her head till she was free. Her feathers swung freely from those unique horns letting her get a better look at this stranger. Much taller then her own height he glowed a beautiful blue compared to the normal naturals she interacted with.
"Oh, its perfectly fine" she apologized herself, "I should of been paying more attention, really".
Turning back to Brownie she hoped that her questions hadn't confused him.Muse WC: 228

It certainly took Wynter a moment to get himself back to straights. The raking of their horns rang in his ears for a moment. Shaking his head a little, his white mane shifting as he did. His fur ruff settled once more over his shoulders as he looked down at the Doe. He wasn't that much taller then the average buck, but this doe was small to him. "No miss, the fault is all mine. I am new here and the green is quite striking. All the color is a little overwhelming." He said with a bit of a sheepish smile. "Home wasn't as colorful as your Homewood. Nor was it this warm." His attention went to those around them before glancing down towards the critter that the doe had been speaking to. They didn't have those back home either, there wasn't much there anymore. Snow. Cold. That was about it, very much the opposite to this place. "Didn't have creatures such as this either." He commented towards the Dire Rat, a curious expression on his face. Wynter looked to the doe, "What sort of Creatures are these? They common around these parts?"WC: 193

Fiontan was looking around enjoying all the festivities when he heard a voice speaking to him. Stunned he whipped his head around and saw a lovely brown and white doe standing near him. Her voice was soothing and he did not feel any danger from her so he nodded and said "Yes of course, please sit and enjoy"He checked to make sure he had left enough of a space for her to get comfortable on the cool grass and awaited her to sit. ================================================ Today must be his lucky day! Just as the lovely brown and white doe was settling herself in to sit next to him and very familiar doe approached him. He struggled to recall her name but it was all for naught as she was cheerful and friendly when she arrived in front of him. "Hello Tempest nice to see you again, not sure if I introduced myself to you before when the journey was happening. I am Fiontan."He grinned in response to hers and almost laughed out loud. She seemed so friendly, honest, and genuinely interested in him. He was someone new to the area as he mostly kept to himself in his home but it was nice to come out and mingle with the others of this land. ========================================= He saw movement out of the corner of his eye, he turned his head and he saw a flash of a tail. That tail looked familiar and it caused him to almost jump to his feet and rush after it. He realized a split second before he did that he had two ladies present in his company and that would be very rude indeed. He took a deep calming breath and slowly scanned the area for any sign of that mischievous devious rat! W/C: 300 Total W/C: 600

Brownie grinned excitedly at Muse for saying she liked his name. He like it too; he liked the dessert even more though. He as grateful when Mille gave him water, his head was starting to feel a little light and he knew it had to be from the juice. Much to his great surprise, the doe shot off questions like a hummingbird zipping through the sky. He could not help be laugh at how wonderful eager Muse was to understand his kind. And though she had asked the questions in a rush he was still able to keep up even in his condition. "Ok.." he giggles with a big smile on his face "umm well I am from the Barrens or at least I was born there. Adahy,a buck noul, brought me here as a pup to the Homewoods after searching for the Wanderlust. Ever since then this has been my home." He stays as he holds his paws out to the woods that surround them all. "I love it here very much and am grateful to be here everyday." The last question he needed to answer gave home pause. What was his favorite food? Giggling at the notion of having to pick just one he throw his paws in the air with defeat "How can anyone have just one favorite. I love them all but as fair as a group of food I think I'd have to say dessert." Smiling even bigger at the idea of a sweet he imagined every dessert he ever had and his tummy grumbled wanting them all. "Oh be quite you." He said down to his tummy then smiled back up at Muse." Anything else I can take it fire away." He said to her ready for anything she might want to know. wc:300

Kachina smiled kindly to the buck that made room for her to get cozy in the shade. "Thank you so much. You picked a great spot to get cozy in." She said as she looked around the area and into the tree branches. "My name is Kachina by the way. It sure is a wonderful start to the festival. Isn't it?" The buck did not have a change to introduce himself or answer the question, before a beautiful lilac doe came over to them as well. Kachina has seen the cheerfully energetic doe around before but had never had the pleasure of meeting her. The buck next to her knew her though as he called her name. "Tempest that is very pretty name. I am Kachina. Would you like to join us under the shade of this wonderful tree?" She did not wait for an answer before she shifted around to make room for the doe. Once settled again she asked the first question that came to mind. "So how do you two know each other?" She loved to hear nouls stories and she was sure these two had a good one. As she waited for the story to begin her thoughts were filled with adventure and excitement. Ever since she was a foal she would always tried to guess the story of a nouls first meeting. She had an active imagination and it gave her a chance to keep that foal alive within herself. wc:245
