quest The thing Guitian loves the most is his home, and he wants it to be just as populated as the Homewood someday.
conflict As Guitian learns more about society in the Homewood, he'll be surprised to discover that conventions and rules are part of what makes it run so well with the large population. He's not certain that he's ready for that.

Guitian is really just a tourist at heart. Though he loves the Homewood, it's not his home, so he doesn't feel very pressured to work here. He'd love to learn what the best sights are, though, and he'll be very curious what you're doing.

a deep, reflective pond by guitian's family's den. its presence means that there's at least a little life in the vicinity, though it's certainly not as lush as the homewood. they use it to observe astronomical events.

GUITIAN story so far
Guitian has always lived in the Barrens with his family, watching over the mirror pool by his den. Eventually, though, he feels a call to find a place he knows only by hearsay...

After a long journey, Guitian thought he'd get a chance to rest, having made the pilgrimage of a lifetime. Instead, he encounters a strange vision...and magic.
Guitian is not the only newcomer to Homewood, and he looks for flowers alongside some dire rats - who apparently talk.

Uxten has a simple, regimented life. She is not creative or witty but she is happy with her place in the Homewood. That happiness has been shaken, though, by the recent expedition into the Barrens with Wanderlust, and her own perceived failure there.

UXTEN story so far
Uxten used to be sure of her identity. After a long trip into the Barrens, during which she, Wanderlust, and the party of nouls she was supposed to be guarding were trapped by crystal beasts, she feels shaken.
Filled with regret, Uxten consults one of her frequent bedmates - a companion who encourages her to take on the mantle of guarding a newly-resurrected familiar to relearn her confidence.
