“I promise I’ll listen. I’m good at that. Remembering things.” That whole thought process was debatable, but Arthur didn’t know that. Yet. “That would be pretty cool. I’d love to meet more people but not alone. I’m not nervous or anything but meeting people for the sake of meeting people without any prior connection just feels like my mom trying to sign me up to a play date. We can make it something cool, like missions, or investigating secret areas, or laying down booby traps in places that the youma hunt and prey on people at. That’d be cool, right? We make our strike first to save the most!” Despite the incessant chattering about hopes and dreams and positive thinking, in the end, Izzy was still an immature team. His priorities continued to focus on the less serious aspect of the war, something he knew he had control over with common sense. You don’t just go up and try talk to a youma. That just lead to getting eaten. “I don’t like soda either. It burns when it goes down, but it could fit in my pocket so I grabbed it. But hey! There you go! We learned something about one another. And I know my real life and all that is important, but you’re still my friend. And I’m not just going to abandon my friend out of nowhere. Friends come first.”

"I can see who is even free. With classes and real life, sometimes it's hard for me to find people. I'll text you if someone is free for a patrol."
"I like coffee but usually bring my own. Thank you for bringing something to drink though."
He rose up from the bench to stretch is arms up over his head,a lank tangle of limbs of a man.
"Well then, I think that's about as much as I can help with tonight. I have some client work to finish tonight." He did, cracking a few fingers.

"Alright. I'm not in any rush to meet new people." Izzy figured if it happened, it happened. There was no point in rushing these sorts of things, especially since he did decently well on his own. He made a mental note to try to remember the coffee, and tried to also make another note to bring some of his family's cafe brew too. He hated it, but who knew what kinda coffee the Mauvian liked. There were so many flavors and it all just tasted awful and gross to him. Once Arthur stood, Izzy stood up as well, taking a quick glance at his phone. Good, no call from mom yet, so he was still not exactly late on getting home. "Client work? Like stuff for hire? ... You get paid for it? What do they pay you in? Cash? Wait, what do you buy? ... Probably more coffee." For a moment, he thought to say what would a cat even use money for, but then again, with this whole thing of being able to be people more, it made sense to get cash.

"I do coding and web design. It's a job I can do through the internet without meeting anyone and get paid electronically. Perfect for a Mauvian pretending to be normal. And I pay for my food, utilities, books for the senshi library, and my mortgage. I don't live with a senshi and no longer have a owner. I have my own place I live and use for a haven for those who might need a place to stay. You can come over sometime if you like."
He smiled and checked his phone. Nothing from Nicodemus. That was good. The kitten was handling himself just fine.
"And yes, I ask for cash. I can't pay my electric bill with kitty kibble."
He pulled out his pushed wallet and showed a fake ID. "When senshi purify, we make them new identities. Easy enough to just ask for one myself."

While Izzy was about to start heading out, after saying goodbyes, he couldn't help but pause. "... Wait, what? Like... What the hell? Don't you have to like, have job interviews for stuff like that? Didn't you have to meet the people you got the house from in person? Wasn't the whole 'i can be human longer' thing just a recent development?" Some of the whole thing didn't make sense... When he was going house shopping with his parents, it took hours and hours of time to complete. And heck, he knew he didn't know much about the world of sensiness and cats and stuff, but he still scrunched his noes up at that. "... So like... I don't know about business sense and stuff, but what the heck do you do with graphics design to make enough money for a freaking 'mortgage'? Isn't that like, a thousand something a month? I don't get it..."

"I had a senshi living with me that I adopted as my own. She signed because she was her own guardian and I forged a witness when I signed. Then I later transferred the deed in my name. The bank was just happy that anyone would want it." Considering it had been a store in a less than happening area, having someone want to give a down payment was a big plus.
And he shook his head. "You are thinking of homes in very appealing neighborhoods. Not every house costs thousands to pay monthly. I don't live in a highrise suite downtown. It's a converted shop in the older district of Destiny."
"And coding jobs pay very well. I can do voice chats and instant messaging with my clients at any time before my ability to change. Today many people do jobs remotely and avoid human interaction and travel as much as possible for the sake of convienece. I also maintain some of the sites I create and have been contacted to add additional features from past clients. And it's not like I'm supporting a family of five after all."

Izzy swore he could hear his brain turn to TV static after a bit. It was all to complicated for him to care too deeply about, so he simply nodded while trying to filter out information he needed. What stuck was working from home, and a meh neighborhood. And a converted shop. Oh. That. He could remember that! "As long as you're doing well, that's what matters! And that you're happy, that parts important to. But that does remind me! I kinda live in a situation too. Not the adoption thing but the living over a shop thing. Maybe you should come by too. It's not super glamourous because there's six people living there, but it's nice. And it smells like Coffee since the Cafe is right downstairs. You should most def stop by sometime!"

His eyes widened and pupils dilated to large, black orbs as he stared at Buzzi. "You - live over a cafe?"
AND it smelled like coffee all day?!
If he didn't tuck his tail, it would have been moving wildly at the very concept of paradise.
"That sounds wonderful. I'd love to visit sometime when you are free." Which he hoped was soon.

Izzy watched, grinning to himself, and honestly seemed a little (no, highly) amused at the reaction. It was freaking weird to see someone's eyes do that, but he gently reminded himself that at the end of the day, Arthur was some sort of feline, and that their eyes did do that sorta thing. "Yup! My mom and dad opened the DeLuna Craft Cafe! We serve coffee and tea and snacks and stuff, and we also have people in maid costumes teach our guests little crafts! Origami, macreme, knitting. It's a whole menu of stuff, and it rotates out between who can do what based on who is working!" He gave his chin a little rub, giving Arthur a long stare... Then Grinned even wider than before. "If you knew a craft, I bet mom would hire you. She'd find the ears and tails quirky and cute. Plus, free coffee! But you got your whole computer job too, but it's a thought! You can totally come visit whenever!"

Aside from a few dabbling in robotics and such, I'm not very crafty. And I've never held a job in person. I'm very limited in how long I can look like this and most days I use it to meet people, enjoy food, and run errands. It's my way to socialize and become better acclimated to the normal life of people. I'd probably be an awful worker. For one, I'd never want to serve any tea." He joked though was actually rather serious.
Tea was gross.
"I'll come over some time to bother your family then. Of you could send that address, I'd come over sometime this week."

"I feel like it would be freaking hilarious to see you get yelled at by my mom for not working and refusing to serve tea. Have you had chai tea? It's nice and spicy and you add milk to it and it's really good. But I'm a Hot cocoa boy myself!" It would be nice to have a day where he just hung out with a friend (besides Toby. Toby was awesome though). Given his luck though, he'd have to work. And work and work and work. Not that he could complain too much. He did like his job after all. "I'll text it to you! And Just let me know, so I can actually make sure there's a free table and someone to serve drinks. I don't always work there. I got a life you know."

"I drink coffee. Tea is disgusting." He said, bit even bothering to give this Chai a chance. Why order a tea just to try and be disappointed when he could have a coffee and be happy.
"I'll do just that then. And - best of luck." He said, circling back to the reason they had met.
With a wave goodbye, Arthur went to head down the street and soon shifted to that of a white cat once he was out of sight.
