Soleiyu
Soleiyu had suffered quite enough shadowy trouble in the past week; he'd have been happy not to have to deal with any more. He'd been so good, recently! After the dogs he'd even managed to stay inside for the most part.
So this?
This wasn't fair.
The Mauvian had stepped outside--in the backyard--with the intent to check an outlet for the newest project he was working on when he felt something brush against his flank--and then curl into his fluffy white fur. It grabbed him, though it wasn't painful as much as it was surprising.
He clawed at the ground desperately, trying to drag his way back inside, to the light, away. It was no use. He was dragged into a puddle of shadow, undignified and ashamed. At least, in the darkness, no one coudl see him.
...And then, he started glowing.

Super Sailor Caia
Caia didn't need anyone's help falling into shadows, or getting lost in darkness. He had quite a talent for getting into trouble without any of Destiny City's help, thank you very much.
It was such a regular occurrence that he didn't even realize he'd been dragged outside of the city for nearly a whole minute after arriving into the shadowy realm.
Something had grabbed his ankle--but tripping was so common that he'd just assumed he'd snagged his boot on some trash in the park. He'd fallen forward, hard, onto his knees--only, it didn't hurt as much as he'd expected. When he'd opened his eyes it was dark, so it just made sense that he must have hit his head, or fell into some hole in the ground.
He was carefully trying to push himself up when he saw the first glow on his hand; he promptly readjusted himself into a sitting position and stared at his hands--and then glanced around, trying to figure out what was going on.
The glowing lights in the distance were more distracting than fulfilling.

Arnica, Dark Mirror Senshi
Mirrorwalking was supposed to be fun, they'd said. Mirrorwalking was supposed to be convenient, they'd said.
Mirrorwalking was supposed to get you where you wanted to go.
And yet, somehow, Arnica was in a completely black space with no identifiable features and no clear path out--and he hadn't even made it to the mirror.
The full sized silver mirror had been hidden beneath a great tree in the park; he was two, three steps away from it when he felt the tight grip of fingers on his boots, and the unmistakable tug of something dragging him into the strange black shadow that seemed to darken beneath the tree.
He slipped into the ground; it felt more like jumping into cool water than it did falling.
Arnica arrived in darkness, alone, watching as lights faintly flickered nearby.
...He shouldn't have been powering up without Kibirev.

Daphne didn’t know what to think about the darkening sky outside, and by the time that it was socially acceptable to go out and get food for dinner…she was a little wary and dressed herself in a rain coat with rainbow polka dots, holding an umbrella that matched. It looked like rain and if it did decide to rain, she didn’t want to be caught in it.
It seemed as though the longer she was out in this strange weather, the darker it got, and the girl gripped her umbrella tightly, wondering if maybe she should just make due with a bowl of cereal and give up going to get fast food as a bad job for this evening.
Suddenly, darkness was everywhere and she let out a startled yelp, sounding quite as terrified as a rabbit caught in a trap, swinging the umbrella wildly as she felt something grabbing on to her.
Why oh why hadn’t she just been powered up…? It was always safer to go through life with magic wasn’t it?
There were strange spots of brightness now, and after the utter darkness…they were almost too bright. Daphne moved towards them none the less, trying to calm her pounding heart and after a moment saw some rather familiar dirty blonde hair and moved towards it, her heart and mind screaming that it was Lori, though when she got close she almost turned the other way but swallowed. “…You…did they...did something...pull you here too?”
She didn’t really like Landry but…at least she knew him.

Aiden HaleTrue to his word Alexandre had in fact made time to go visit a haunted house just as they had planned. After work, they ate dinner together then went to the one heald at the local performing arts theater. Needless to say, when acting is a persons career they can really make a production come alive. They didn’t simply just scream and jump out at patrons for a simple startle but rather the cast and crew really got into their roles; the way they moved and an array of sounds they made really gave Aiden the chills a few times in there. In light of it all, he did his best to remain brave, as did Alex, but Aiden knew at what point his boyfriend got scared because at that same moment he lost feeling in his right arm from being held on to tightly. By the time they stepped out into the streets, it felt as if for a moment their relationship had been carefully placed back on track. However, while it didn’t seem to be moving anywhere, for now, it definitely had a heading. Or so he thought... Dark skies loomed overhead and before the two of them could reach the car, he felt a clawed hand grab ahold of him. For a second he thought it was one of the actors in the parking lot but when he turned around there was nothing but dark shadows to be seen. “Alex-” He called out as another hand clamped over his mouth effectively silencing him while prying him free from his boyfriend’s hold. Desperation gripped him as he reached out as he was pulled backward and down into the dark abyss Sleet Tempest Snape Ignore this one, this was before the dice roll. wink will have a 2nd tag to you shortly.

Alpersite had been enjoying his walk, as he often did, pleased to be patrolling with his captain and listening intently to the night’s lesson, when suddenly…he was no longer beside Lopezite, suddenly he was just in darkness. Darkness that was so thick he couldn’t see a thing. “Lopezite!” He called, his voice desperate, trying to p***k his ears up to hear a sound over the sudden rapid thudding of his own heart.
What the hell was going on?
Where were they…this…this was almost like summer all over again only…
Well. It wasn’t summer at all. “Lopezite, where are you!?” His cry was louder now, sharper and he thought he might have heard what could have been his name from somewhere to his right, and began to run, though stopped in confusion after a few moments, holding his hands out and staring at them in fascination. So…now he was…glowing? Okay. Well. No. Not okay.
He began running again, his eyes finally showing other strange glowing figures in the distance. One of them had to be his captain, right?

Corrupt Sailor Meridiana
The plan was as it had always been for the last several months. Power up, and with the use of her medallion, try to get a more accurate number or record of who was active this time of year.
Some records in the database appeared to be out of date, last entries being many years ago. Perhaps the person in question was dead and had not been updated to say they were deceased. Maybe they had already been persuaded to join the Negavers. Or… there was the other possibility that they had achieved a higher rank and the description no longer matched the name.
As of now, Meridiana had four solid reports and one that was heavily redacted for a personal reason.
Unfortunately, what was supposed to be routine quickly shifted into something more dangerous. Zinkenite had taught her to be more aware of her surroundings but how the hell was she supposed to do that when it was the shadows themselves was what had grabbed ahold of her, tugging at her dress and arm as it dragged her down into a place darker than night itself.

Alexandre Evans. He hadn't abandoned Aiden, like he'd said he wouldn't, and the haunted house had been good - really good. It was a good balance of gore, scare, and creepiness. He'd had to look away, in advance, of some fake spiders in order to avoid a panic attack which would have ensured due to his phobia of the eight legged monsters. That had been rather...awkward but also somehow...comforting. It was nice that Aiden had thought about his issue and, spotting them before Alexandre, mentioned them and let the blond hide in his side. It would have been better if they were on better terms, which he hoped this might help in achieving, but as he stepped outside he didn't think things had gotten any better despite the fun he'd had.
As he took a moment to take in the chilly night air Alexandre felt..off. Well he didn't feel off but something else felt off and wrong. He'd thought it would pour all night, even though the weather hadn't called for it, but there was no rain really. There was also no stars and no moon out and they should have a near full moon tonight. It was like everything was blocked in the nightsky and it was cooler than it should be. "Aiden..." He didn't like the feel, didn't trust it, he'd lost himself in the haunted house and now was remembering just how wrong the day had felt.
Moving closer to the other he almost missed the feel of something grabbing at his leg and pulling - tugging. "Aiden!" A bit louder now, as his slate eyes widened and moved towards his leg where something was in fact gripping it.He tried to fight it, to yank himself free, but it had latched on and pulled and tugged till he was gone, into whatever that had been.
Where he was he didn't have a clue, unfortunately, but it was dark and without anything in sight. "Aiden?" Calling out into the darkness as he moved, stumbled, and soon saw figures surrounded by light. "Aiden!" Calling out in the hopes of finding his partner.

Super Sailor Nephthys
Watching the rain roll in all day, curled up in the warmest clothing she could find, Genevieve hadn't liked the feeling of dread which filled her slowly over the course of the day. The clouds, darker and darker in nature, weren't normal and by the time the rain had mostly stopped Genevieve was sure something was up but wasn't sure what. It was dark out, pitch black in fact, but it didn't keep her from slipping outside with a few quick parting words to her parents. The cats were all fed, and lounging about her room and various parts of the house, and she was glad they were all indoor cats right now. Something was up and she worried for what may have befallen them if they were outdoor cats, or indoor and outdoor.
As she got further from home she found herself powering up, if only to give herself a sense of comfort and power. It was short lived though as something grabbed her and pulled her, though not too roughly, into the darkness. It was strange arriving to wherever she was, she really couldn't tell with all the darkness, it certainly was strange.
When she started to move, wanting to test out her own limbs, she found herself hitting into things and things pressing against her like sheets. Sheets that moved and things under her feet as she walked...almost like rocks. Stumbling she caught her balance as she spied some people in the distance. Each one outlines in a light of shorts, at least that helped. Maybe someone would be safe to approach, as slowly as that might be.

Sailor Miyamoto
Why the ******** was it dark? He'd been out doing the whole senshi thing, hoping to meet others in order to talk to them, when he'd been grabbed by something and pulled to here - wherever the hell here was. Someone, he didn't care who, had better explain this s**t to him because he was not liking the darkness one bit. Glaring into the darkness as he tried to move, and not trip into things he seemed to be walking into, he nearly ripped what felt like a sheet or curtain brushing across his face.
"Finally." ******** finally! He could see what looked like people, and some were closer than others, good! Lights were around them, and that certainly wasn't normal, he didn't care much though. They were people and someone had to have a clue - right? Why did he not know s**t like this was going to happen! Maybe that Negaverse agent would know about this? If he could find them again somehow. Unless someone here, whenever he got to someone, could explain things to him. They had been helpful, answering a lot of things and they seemed to understand him.

The spreading darkness had been a concern for Lysithea ever since it really started drawing in and she told the boys at the house that she would be right back, that she just wanted to check on it. Check on it and make sure that Soleiyu was okay and to make sure that the giant marshmallow was going to get home safe before it decided to rain.
…Or….
Whatever.
The darkness didn’t look like rain darkness…and with the way goosebumps were popping out all over her skin, it didn’t really feel like it either. She had been in this city long enough to know that…things happened. And sometimes those things sucked.
She paused by a building, lingering for a moment in the shadow that was cast by it, her sapphire eyes moving to look up at the sky once again, her face marred by a frown. It was so distracting to be looking up that she had no time to notice or make any moves to stop the sudden hands that grabbed her, pulling her back into an inky blackness.
No. She had been right. It wasn’t going to rain…it was going to do something…Destiny City related…and that was never a good thing. Thank god she hadn’t let Evan or Zac come with her. Lysithea would have kicked herself if either of them got hurt.
As she began to glow, she looked down at her hands in mild fascination, and mild horror, thinking of giant anglerfish, especially when she saw other shapes in the distance, also glowing faintly. Perhaps…she was about to become fish food? Well…not today.Quote: Lysithea is open for interactions!

The darkness seems a little less intrusive with the bright glow of Destiny City's inhabitants as they begin to fill in. At first, it is almost reassuring; the glow isn't enough to reveal anything other than inky blackness, but a light in the darkness is always hopeful. Until it becomes obvious that something is darting around in the shadows. All of the unwitting guests are marked with a soft, gentle glow. Whatever was here first isn't. The shadows move quickly--large, and fast, sometimes blocking out the glowing forms of others in the distance. Sometimes they move a little slower and it's almost possible to make out a shape. Maybe a thick neck. A set of ears. Legs. You are not alone in this darkness. Whatever they are, they're big. There's more than one. ...And they're getting closer, and more hostile. There's power in numbers--if you can make it long enough to team up with someone. Quote: Something ominous is lurking in the shadows; you cannot see what it is, but you can tell that it's close. You can hear hard, rapid stomps that almost sound like stone against stone. Sometimes far away, sometimes right next to you. Whatever you're trapped in here with is moving in--and alone, you're easy prey. No matter what, you can't give up. You need to keep moving. Roll to evade the creatures in the shadows! If you have a fourth stage character, RNG between numbers 5-10! If you have a third stage character, RNG between numbers 4-10! If you have a second stage character, a Mauvian Senshi, or a full Youma character, RNG between numbers 3-10! If you have a first stage character, or a humanoid Mauvian, RNG between numbers 2-10! If you have a civilian or a basic Mauvian, RNG between numbers 1-10! Quote: If you roll between 8-10 you manage to avoid all threat; you still have to stumble across the dark landscape but you manage to do so unhindered and unscathed. There's a strange clarity as you maneuver--you hear something odd, in the distance. It almost, almost sounds like...carnival music? If you roll between a 4-7 you find yourself able to maneuver with some ease, though more than once you bump into some thing. It has to be alive; it squirms when you hit it. You can feel muscle, maybe a thin coat of fur. Sometimes, you can feel it breathe on the back of your neck--icy cold. It's distracting but not the end of the world. If you roll between a 1-3, no matter if you are alone or in a group, they've targeted you. You may find something heavy and big brushing against you with enough force to jostle you; you may feel a thin coat of fur and a layer of muscle beneath it. If you are particularly unlucky, something heavy will step on your feet--or the head of something will hit you in the small of the back as if it is trying to knock you into the ground. You may find yourself bruising in the morning if you aren't careful. Please keep track of your roll totals in bold red font at the top of your post! If you choose to, you may respond from the prompt you roll to or any prompt lower, but you cannot respond to a prompt higher than what you rolled! You can only roll once per prompt and if you make a mistake, simply strike out your post. Please do not delete rolls! You may continue to RP between prompts. The next prompt will be posted at ~10PM EST October 17th! While you can join at any point in the roleplay, you cannot make up lost rolls!

Mia Seidel*RNG: 2More and more of the glowing lights were appearing, and it seemed like the sources were indeed other people. One had even answered! Good sign. There were callouts and confusion all over, but Mia wasn't alone. She headed carefully toward whomever had responded. Not even two steps and the creepy place had to stomp all over her growing hopefulness. It was no longer silent aside from the obvious chatter. There were sounds: quick rustles, almost skittering across the uneven, broken ground. Someone or something else was here, and whatever it was didn't glow. A crackle of stone very nearby caused the civilian to spin on her heel, but her pale effervescence unveiled nothing. Shadows within shadows. So focused was she on the phantom movement in the unfathomable gloom that she was caught completely off-guard when the unnerving scampering sounded right in front of her. Close, too close! Before any further thought there was a heavy weight on the toe of one boot, a brushing of something hairy and muscular sweeping past. It had literally stomped on her foot, and felt as though it was circling. And she still couldn't see anything! There was a huff of icy breath upon the nape of her neck, and before she could react the woman was sent sprawling across the jagged earth from a sharp push to the small of her back. She landed hard with a yelp, the jarring impact sending pain radiating through her knees and elbows during the fall. Thankfully, smashing the crown of her head into a pile of blocks-that-weren't-there brought the historian to an abrupt halt. One hand went to a small cut on her cheek, courtesy of the broken rocks across which she'd skidded, the other to her head in an attempt to clear the starbursts dancing across her vision. "Wonderful," she groaned thickly, clearly dazed as she felt around in an attempt to find anything that could serve as a makeshift weapon. Nothing. Figured. Mia's pain was offset by growing, smouldering annoyance. She tended to take pride in her awareness, a trait that had kept her relatively safe on many expeditions. To be caught so unawares was frustrating, but given the strange and dangerous circumstances she quickly began to forgive herself. She could go through a mental beat-up later, after escaping whatever was attempting to the same to her physically. The only silver lining was that the blow had knocked her closer to the glow of the person who had answered earlier. A red-headed woman, from what could be discerned in the wan light. Continuing to scan the shadows, Mia climbed to her feet and crept backward toward her new possible companion. There hadn't been any other cries for help, perhaps there was only the one and she'd been its first lucky victim? Best to assume otherwise until proven correct though. "Mia Seidel would be asking," she finally retorted, the relief evident in her tone hopefully diffusing any brusqueness in her voice. "Careful, there's something sneaking around and it's aggressive." She ran the back of a hand across her cut cheek as if to prove the claim. "Could've at least bought me a coffee first."

Myrrha - Super Senshi of Scents (( 6 + ))As a voice piped up from nearby Myrrha had to hide a smile. At least someone else was on the same page as her it seemed. Well at least in the sense that they knew what she had been muttering about. Feeling that it might be wise to stick close to at least one individual Myrrha gave up the idea of milling around blindly. "I'm not sure pooling resources would help determine where we are but couldn't hurt to try," her glib comment gave way to a pause as there was something that had just breathed down her neck causing a shiver to wrack her slight frame. "Okay, that was so not cool." Well it was cool, as in cold, but she wasn't going to comment on her own unintentional play on words.
Reaching out to at least attempt an introduction of any sorts Myrrha took notice of shapes twisting around in the shadows. Had the breath at the back of her neck been one of these ... things? Holding out a hand in the strangers direction Myrrha spoke, "I'm Myrrha by the way. Who are you?"(( If you roll between a 4-7 you find yourself able to maneuver with some ease, though more than once you bump into something. It has to be alive; it squirms when you hit it. It figured, really. For the most part, Tristan's work on his PhD consumed his time, but the one time he decides to power up into Mycenae and explore, he ends up dragged into some strange, dark dimension.
At least he wasn't alone. With a brief, tense exhale, he stepped forward, moving towards the glowing figures of other people; with things moving in the dark, Mycenae was not about to trust in his abilities alone. Better to find someone and stick with them.
He felt something strange and cold on the back of his neck, and whirled, swinging his shillelagh. It came in contact with something large, and strange, and soft enoguh to give and squirm away. <********," he swore, under his breath, and he turned, back towards the nearest person.
