❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆ If only the ghosts of his past could hear such kind words. That was a miracle all on it's own, and only more so towards one rare person he never thought he would cross in his life. She enjoyed his company, as much as he himself, had enjoyed hers. Whether he had sounded sincere or not, the bubble of flustering notions were caught in his throat. "I find most individuals... Intolerable. That may be due to my own amount of brute honesty... Though it always commendable to know there are those patient out in the world after all. I.. Can take the amount of company you give, as I find you charming for company." Unused to the casual talk at all, a learning curve was here for him to take and adjust to succeeding. Had he been to forward though? The last part of his speaking had him debating on whether charming may have been too unorthodox to say to someone. Tch. Why was he worrying? Most of what he had said at all she had taken calm. There was no point in worrying for this same one. Charming was considered a synonym for nice. He contemplated this thought, and just stuck with it, before he could truly begin sinking into a huffing amount of paranoia about it. There was nothing worse than an increasing headache over a word. Knowledge and intellect had a suffering amount of power that way sometimes.
For now, Fuyuki had to brush all of this off, at least taking note on the fact of him bring in a kind emotional honesty, rather than the normal, brute and straightforward approach... That left a lot to be desired some days. The last thing either individual needed, was a struggling to keep calm dog man, who had the tendency to fret over small stuff such as words alone. Her words he wasn't concerned too much about. The tone behind everything she spoke was clear friendly. Him on the other hand, only found himself actually softening up to this woman a little, and all in god's name he wished that would stop in it's tracks. Safe to say the moment for him to calm a little had arrived, the scent of the waters, wafting into his nose. "The temperature seems to be just right..." Her attentive for any sounds of potential alarm, for the most part, it was only their own steps he could pick up. The other thing was the caw of Drac's little pet arriving towards them. Seeing that avian had made him momentarily sour. "Tch..." Drac's question had interrupted his thoughts, the idea of willow bark being a sound idea. "That would be nice adding of taste to concoction. As long as you do not fall into the water... Just. Ensure your balance. If you are able." More mindful on the last part, as a concern for her safety, Fuyuki had simply flustered under his breath, unaware of the woman's thoughts about him and the bird.

Dracaena had to smile a little at hearing her company was found to be charming by the professor. It honestly pleased her; something she had not been expecting to effect her so. But it did, in the best way possible; it made her happy. "As I you, and I find your directness and honesty refreshing, if it's any consolation,"Ms. Lenz replied matter-of-factual yet truthful. His company was truly a treat for the female doctor as they walked."It's nice to be by the water,"The doctor thought silently before she would offer to forage for the pain-relieving bark. Freya would quietly observe from three trees away.
"Then I shall,"Cinnabari said after he'd say it was nice, putting her parasol against a nearby pine before going to forage. As she walked closer to the water's edge and the willows known for their medicinal properties (anti-inflammatory and pain relieving among the main ones), she would hear his concerns and nod slightly. The ground was indeed more tricky the closer one goes to the water's edge, but she would be cautious."I shall be,"Ms. Lenz promised, revealing just how well-balanced and agile she was when she walked the edge where water and land met to the other side of the willow with ease and grace."Not so hard."The gentlewoman thought before beginning to carefully carve and collect a couple nice pieces of bark for tea and salves before walking back over to the professor. Offering a batch for Fuyuki's basket, a soft smile on her lips.

❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆ Fuyuki had no idea what he was doing, despite normally always having an answer for everything. In regards to women and courtesy, that was a ballpark and a half. In the terms of consideration, wouldn't it have been wise for him to be the one to volunteer on getting the herbs for her?? Drac had her own thing going, and her own plans to get the herbs was commendable. He wasn't asked, but maybe he should speak up more, and offer to go in her stead? She was already heading off to do her business though, and despite words, she seemed to have it handled. What was the point to argue such a thing? Clearly, this wasn't the first time she's done this. For her to have him sit on the side, he could abide by that. Did the bird really have to be near him though? He ignored Freya when he had joined beside the bird, more so keeping his attention on the doctor instead.
"....." She heeded his warning, but despite that, Fuyuki couldn't help but still be nervous. Why exactly was he nervous? He had no idea. From what he had seen so far, she seemed to be the type who could easily fall into the water. He could just picture it now. A simple lean forward for the reach, and an easy falling, which was caused by her attempting to reach for a branch and missing. Possibly hitting her head off the rocks? Or even a tree branch? Such thoughts were terrifying in a sense. Then again, he was simply overthinking. "Do I need to get up and go over there?... For God's sake... Why am I asking a bird......." It's not like the creature could answer anyway. He felt himself going delusional just for even doing it in the first place. No no no. Sitting here while she could potentially fall in was foolish. He definitely had to get up. Fuyuki could just see it..... The more he would think about it, the more it irritated him,and bothered him to know it could happen. She's a grown adult! Her walking to the water to grab herbs should have been the least of his concerns! The clenching of his jaw from worry had him only tense up. Gahhhh!!! "What is wrong with me...." Despite his worries... There was nothing to worry about. The moment the Drac had neared the waters edge, she had taken the whole entire picking of the herbs with grace and poise. No water splashing, and no falling in. A simple but grace walk along the edge, followed by an easy approach to the willow itself. The doctor certainly knew what she was doing, and he felt crazy for even worrying in the first place... More so... Flustered? Was she a secret trapeze artist!? It was certainly the case of never judging a book by its cover. Her reveal of balance had been unexpecting, to say the least!
There was no hiding the look of shock on his expression for once, which continued to hold upon his features as she approached the pair of them once as if nothing ha happened. No... She was certainly returning dry, and exactly as she looked before she went over there. Dracs' return to him, had fists he had unknowingly clenched up to lose tension, loosening the clench awkwardly. Oi vey.... When had that happened... "I guess I had nothing to truly warn about doctor Lenz. You're a natural with nature terrain." Having shoved into his pockets, when she had passed him some of the bark, he replaced his shocked expression with a grimace. "Thank you..." Holding a hand out towards her, his fluctuation towards her pretty smile had returned. Choking silently, he gruntled under his breath, taking what she had for him. In order to prevent more flustering however, he had in response, placed the willow away safely into the contents of hi pockets. "I am glad you hadn't fallen in." "Why had I said it like that....." Having planned on keeping his relief from showing, Fuyuki had grown irritated at failing to do so. Hoping the comment went over her head, he could only hope there was something else to look around to. Had she actually fallen in... There was that sense of security he had no idea about lingering in the back of his head. The worry in the first place had been from preparation to jump in had anything happened. As if he would notice, or say anything in regard to it. Personal thoughts and mental states were already challenging to configure as it was! .... Hrm... So.... What is next on the list?"

Dracaena would be blissfully unaware of her canine companion's frets and worries of social ethicacies. Off in her own little world and focused on the task at hand. She wouldn't even realize he was in such a state.
The ink-colored avian would simply look to the tall gentleman her mistress would take as a walking partner. Though they had had a rough first meeting, she harbored no ilk towards him. Even if the dog-man held contempt for her. Deep, dark eyes would watch the observer until spoken to. Tilting her head slightly to the side, the raven then shook her head in answer of No. Cawing in greeting as her mistress returned unharmed.
Ms. Lenz smiled softly to her companion at his statement and expression."Not even a little. I've always had the gift of Balance,"the proper Englishwoman stated matter-of-factually. Once he had taken the bark offered and put it away, she would walk away in order to collect her parasol that was still against the tree. Returning with hearing his question, the young doctor pondered."Well, my list is complete,"Ms. Lenz stated calmly before looking to the professor."Did he not state he had others on his foraging,"The gentlewoman pondered before inquiring such a thing."If there's no objections. I would be more than happy to accompany you, should you need to complete your search,"Ms. Lenz offered with sincere yet calm courtesy and friendliness.

❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆ A gift for balance? Was that truly a scientific aspect or ability to possess? Seeing her display earlier, clearly there was truth to her words, the grace she had earlier shown and revealed coming to light of recognition. When he had first met her and her raven, he had expected the winged avian to be the key to her balancing. How good it was to know it wasn't the case at all. The fact he had been worrying for nothing after all of that was the most embarrassing thing to have happened in a long time. Things normally remained at a neutral state of mind. The fact he had been feeling these things were awkward as hell, Why did emotions have to exist? The notion of her not even noticing a single thing about it, had been the most luckiest fowl shot he could ever experience. The fresh air was welcoming as always for helping a man calm ones self down. If only the lavender he had been looking for had been laying about somewhere. It was an error on his behalf by the incorrect factual information he had believed in. Given the information on his experience with lavender, he had been so tired lately, he had taken no proper memory nor knowledge into consideration towards the actual statistics on how lucky he'd be to find his remaining herb of interest. "Bullocks."
With an annoyed snort, Fuyuki had simply shoved his hands into his pockets, trying to recollect his thoughts. The mint had been easily found. The pine needles he had found a little bit. Everything but the one was all he could recall. All of the ones that Drac had given him had over swept majority of everything on his own train of thoughts. The lavender on his list had been the only thing that had a need of being marked, and accounted for. The pine needles he had no need to find anymore of. Bah.... How could he remember at this point? It's not like he had written it down... Another mistake on his part. "Welp...." There was the question... Or more so the offer to continue. She was all complete on her list. Who was he to hold her back?? Besides... He only had the final ingredient he actually had wanted. "I only have one thing left. An error on my part, as I should have taken better, more conclusive ideas on how far I would actually progress. Geh... All that's left is lavender... I'm a fool to think I would be able to find any at this time of year. As for pine needles... No idea how I have managed to find only so few."

Dracaena took no mind to the professor's actions or annoyance; mainly because she was not good at reading it. So she awaited his response as he had shoved his hands in his pockets; her own being folded before herself as she stood merely six paces away from him. Ms. Lenz smiled kindly as he mentioned lavender was the last on his list."Lavender is more found in the rural regions of Vale, but I have a plant at home,"the proper Englishwoman stated politely."It couldn't hurt,"The gentlewoman thought before she'd continue."I don't mind sharing since it grows back. As for pine needles I saw them along the way, we could gather more on the way back. If you'd like that is..."Ms. Lenz offered with kind sincerity.

❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆❆ Fuyuki couldn't be sure about some stuff. To his mindset, he wasn't sure if she had seen it or not. Obvious action should have shown that, but with all that was interchanging, he couldn't even tell anymore. The pace, the words, the changes of silence, everything was a unique flavor of unpredictability. He wasn't sure if it was her doing, his, the herbs, or all of the above. The perspiration in the pursuit of knowledge and finding through this day had increased his aggravation to finding the final items he had wished for. Maybe it was time to give up. That had to be it. Drac... Had ended up saving his piece of mind... For another time today.
She had lavender? She had seen pine needles? To bad she couldn't have mentioned that before. A lot of it would have saved him a lot of time and wonderment. What was more was she was lucky she possessed a plant at her home. Was she sure she had wanted to invite a stranger she only knew for .... 6 hours? He had no intentions at all to do anything harmful to her, but had this been someone else.... Geh.... Fuyuki did NOT want to think about those consequences. Shaking his head with a momentary disdain, the man had simply dismissed his thoughts away with an annoyed gruff under his breath, looking to Drac with a neutral gaze of respect. "I cannot say no when you are being gracious enough to lend. I perhaps believe it best to ensure you make it out of these woods alive for that matter. :Leaving you to impending death would only leave a bad taste in my mouth. Bitter as lemongrass."
