Silly? Gereth was almost offended. He snorted and watched her for a long moment. Instead, he leaned close and moved to nuzzle her. I hope they pick it up sooner this time. he said. I don’t want to worry about mine too often. Do you think he’ll become wiser as he ages?
“Do you want to swim?” R’yn asked.

Well, we will see, sometimes they just feel like they need to do everything. I don't want to worry about mine too much either, but I know it is inevitable with her a lot of the time. And I am sure your's has the potential to get wiser as he gets older,Jaseth assured. She nuzzled him back gently, her eyes a soft purple.
"A swim does sound nice,"Demanthra admitted.

Jaseth was right. They would undoubtedly have to worry sometimes. Their riders had proved to be stubborn in the past and would in the future. I hope he becomes wiser soon. There is no shame in asking for help. He nuzzled her and gave a playful snort. Maybe ours will become wiser together.
“Great!” R’yn beamed. He stood and offered Demanthra his hand. “Race you,” he said. He didn’t give a countdown, just took off, playfully tugging her along at a slow speed. “I bet I can make a bigger splash than Gereth.”
Now he’s just being ridiculous.

No, there is no shame in asking for help when one needs it. And as leaders, it will inspire others to do the same, if they think about it that way. Don't worry, they are young, they have plenty of time to learn,Jaseth pointed out.
"Honey, your dragon is a bronze, I don't think you can make a bigger splash than him,"Demanthra reminded with a laugh. She ran after him, allowing him to lead the way.

They are fine leaders, Gereth said. They will be better leaders when they learn to ask for help. He nuzzled her. They do. And we’ll encourage them, too. We take care of ours.
“You might be right,” R’yn laughed. Instead of aiming for a splash bigger than the bronze’s, he splashed at her when he hit the water.

Yes, they are good leaders indeed, but as you say, they can learn some things. Of course we will take care of our's, after all, they are our other half,Jaseth nodded. Then she nuzzled him back, seeming to be in high spirits.
"Hey!"Demanthra squeaked out with a laugh as he splashed her, before she returned fire, as it were.

I think they can always learn things. Jaseth was right, they were their other half. That was something important, something they couldn't forget. They'll be fine, with us to help them.
"Hey yourself!" R'yn laughed, sending another splash her way. "Maybe not as big as Gereth's waves, but I do pretty well for my size!"

I think everyone is always learning, it is part of being alive. And of course they will, we know how to guide Our's in their duties. They may be tiring at times, but they do make wonderful leaders for the Weyr,Jaseth agreed.
"No, not as big as his waves, but pretty good. However, even though I cannot make waves as big as Jaseth, I do pretty well myself,"Demanthra smirked, as she splashed him once more.

Maybe you're right, Gereth agreed. It had taken him a long time to learn to fly, among other things. He was always learning how to work better with his wing and with Jaseth. They had to work in tandem to ensure their riders' success.
R'yn laughed and sent another splash Dea's way. "You do," he agreed. "But if we work together, we might be able to splash our dragons."

Of course I am right, is there any doubt? I remember how much we had to learn when we were just Weyrlings. We still learn a lot and so do our riders. I have no doubt, we will be able to help them,Jaseth assured.
"Hmm, that is quite a large task, splashing our dragons. I mean, considering how big they are...but let's try,"Demanthra finally agreed.

No doubt, Gereth agreed and moved to nuzzle her. I learn more about you and mine each day. I enjoy learning about the both of you. All of you. Despite Jaseth's not being his, he was fond of her.
"It'll be fun," Rhiyn said. He began to splash towards Gereth.

I know you do and I am always glad to learn new things about all of you as well. It is amazing there is always things to learn about those you care about. I wouldn't have it any other way,Jaseth responded, nuzzling him back. She knew that he was fond of her rider too, even if Demanthra was her own. Honestly, she could say the same about his as well.
"It will be,"Demanthra smiled, as she worked on splashing some of the water in Jaseth's direction.
