"That's a good reason to come and mix with new ponies," he said. "You can think about things differently if you have other points of view. If I didn't meet new ponies, I'd just stay out in the same desert. The world is so much bigger than the desert, but you forget that once you're in it."

Banshee walked into the party. Tossing his long hair over his flank to avoid stepping on it. He glanced to his best friend [and secret crush since they were foals, but he'll never tell you that]. "Arch...come on!! You're never going to gain confidence without putting yourself out there!!"

He glanced to the flowers and picked up the one for singles. He figured he might as well, since they were only friends. Eh, whatever. He'd just have to hassle anyone that came close. Arch was his best friend after all. He couldn't let just anyone try to nose their way into his heart. He just hoped he could keep up with everything...

Idris saluted the ghoulie as he walked on his way. "Later mah dude!" He couldn't help his great amusement over the other two males and their interactions as they parted. When it was just the two of him, Idris bobbed his head in response. "I wouldn't have placed that part, but Sunny was pretty apparent." Taking a sip of his recently placed drink, Idris mmmmmed over it. "Man this is good!"

The question posed to him didn't even give pause for thought. "Fun, man. Why not, right? I'm Idris by the by. It's too damn short and weird for a nickname, but hey! sounds like me in a nutshell," he said with a snicker. "You?" and he took another sip.

As it so happened, Tullio couldn't help but get the feeling someone was close by. He shifted on his feet, raising his right wing, then his left as he tried to make sure he wasn't in anyone's way. When the rather large male moved just a bit more, he noticed a semi-familiar figure close by. "Huh..." However, it wasn't until he shifted his steps some that he knew exactly who it was! Well, he didn't quite remember her name, but still.

"Hey there!" Tullio said with a little more enthusiasm than he meant to use. "Errr. Heh. Hi. How's the shoulder holding up?" he asked, noticing how she wouldn't let the fabric of her sweater touch it.

Skel was enjoying devouring the candy hearts, finding that his favorites were the pink and purple. He almost didn't notice the aquatic sitting at the table, too. The pegasus yelped in surprise at the sudden sound of another voice. "Oh hey! Sure. It's all good and there's lots of these candy hearts, too! Err..." he paused a moment as he looked down at the plate. "Well, we can always snag more from other tables," he snickered as he saw that about half of them had disappeared since he sat himself there.

"OH! YEAH! HI! I'm Skeleton Dance! You can call me Skel. What's your name my fish friend?"

"I live there, as much as I live anywhere," answered Lalarit. "I'm a summer pony so I get cooler easier, makes the days bearable. It's a bit of trouble in the freezing night, but I have some fluff to help with that." He ruffled his chest.

"I don't think I have been to Drizzle Town," said Lalarit. "I should stop by. Sounds peaceful."

Lalarit scratched his chin, thinking. It would be a bit offensive to say 'everything in the desert is interesting.'

"The life in the desert is interesting," he said, finally. "The way things survive in the harsh environment is amazing. The things you can see that are beautiful when everything seems barren at first glance. And, of course, the auroras."

Lalarit chuckled and dipped his head in concession. "It doesn't matter if it's raining if it's an indoor party, I guess."

"Auroras," Lalarit corrected. "If you're seeing auras in the desert you're either haunted or dying of thirst. The auroras come at night and light up the sky with colours like stained glass with the brightest sun shining through it."

"They are lovely," agreed Lalarit. "That's one of the main reasons I stay there. You can't capture the look of an aurora ever again, not even in a photograph. Each one is amazing and I can sit there and stare for hours every night. But if that's all I look at, I won't see anything else." He gestured around the room. "That's why I came down, that's why I'm here."

"There's not a lot of foals where I come from," he said a little sadly. "Are there many foals in Drizzle Town?"
