“I did,” R’elien agreed with a grin. He couldn’t help it. She’d been beautiful and that had been what caught his eye first, but then she had been a mystery. Unfeeling and cold as she’d seen, R’elien had wanted to know what was under that layer of ice. He’d gotten to know her and had fallen in love.
“You did?” He asked, surprised. He hadn’t expected that. She’d always seemed so put out by the gifts.

"Yes, I did, unless it was a little one that I wanted to make a point with to leave me alone. All but like one or two I actually kept somewhere safe. I wasn't going to let on that I did though,"she replied.

“I was too far gone at that point,” R’elien admitted with a chuckle. “I couldn’t have left you alone after that. You’d stolen my heart.” And had broken it a few times, refusing his advances. It had a game of cat and mouse, but he’d never been sure who was cat and who was mouse. She’d trapped him.
“Kaeth won you over before I did.”

“Well, naturally. You were a challenging mystery and I wanted to pry that layer of ice off you,” he was grinning at her. “I just happened to fall in love with you along the way.”
“Kaeth is very loveable,” he said then, and laughed. She had a weak spot for creatures, and Kaeth had certainly played his part in getting them together. “He adores you, you know.”

And yes, Kaeth is a lovable dragon, who I know adores me. Not sure why, though,"she spoke, allowing a small smile to come to her lips since they were alone.

R’elien was always happy to hear how she had fallen for him. After months of trying to win her heart with gifts and inviting her to eat, he had begun to doubt that she would. Kaeth had advised him on how to go about it.
“I think Kaeth knows how fantastic you are,” R’elien said.

“Hey, no. I fell for you first. Kaeth only encouraged me to keep chasing the girl I wanted,” R’elien said with a smile. “It worked, didn’t it?” Kaeth’s strategy had been effective at least.
“You’re worth it,” he said.

R’elien smirked. Yes, he did have his arms around her. His blue had been wise in helping him pursue her. After a few months of leaving gifts and trying to spend time with her, he had begun to doubt anything would come out of it when Kaeth has stepped in and encouraged him.
“I never count hugs from brothers,” he teased.
I only hope Mine and I can be worthy of you, Kaeth’s words were only for Astrianna.

"No, I didn't think you would count that, since that is a different matter. And you do know I consider you worthy of holding me, don't you? If I didn't, you would still be getting the cold shoulder. You and Kaeth mean more to me than I thought would ever happen,"she admitted, also as a way to indirectly answer the dragon who had spoken in her mind.

To be honest, R’elien wasn’t sure he was. He doubted his worth ever since he’d met her and she’d pointedly rejected him day after day. She was special. He’d never met a girl like him. How could he be worthy? He’d thought when she’d first agreed, that it had been out of pity. He’d chased her like a blue would chase a green.
“Right,” he said.
Mine loves you very much, and you love mine. I love you, too.

Astriana saw the look in his eyes and she turned to face him. She placed a hand firmly on his cheek and made him look at her.
"Hey, none of that doubting stuff, do you hear me? You are more amazing than you give yourself credit for. I gave you the cold shoulder for so long because I do that to most people. I don't like being hurt and I make people work for it. You did, you crept into my heart and wouldn't leave,"she assured, sending her love to Kaeth too, hoping he picked up on it.
