Goblinite chooses to join the group Searching for Youma Upstairs.
A whole lot of nothing happened outside, and then they were called in.
Mildly unwise, Goblinite thought, but orders were orders, after all...and now there was potentially an opportunity to thump some renegade youma heads. He grinned at the opportunity, and joined the crew forging ahead above. Others would secure the rear.
"Maybe some proper action now," he said with an anticipatory grin.

Captain ReineriteReinerite chooses to join the group Searching for Youma UpstairsReinerite had nodded as Gunningite mentioned that she was going to remain outside, having heard Uvarovite's request that the group try to split evenly.
She kept her hand firm on her staff as she entered, grey eyes narrowing as she caught sight of something moving, shadow-like figures racing towards the staircase and then upwards.
Youma?
It seemed like a clue - or at least the potential to be one - although how useful it would be was yet to be seen.
She thought she saw Gunningite joining the group that would check for a back door and nodded to her before following after a Lieutenant (Geocronite) that was heading towards the stairs - hopefully both of their endeavours would bear fruit.

Corrupt Sailor Rigel chooses to stay downstairs and Find the Backdoor. {8 pts} He had laughed to Carnelian's description of the possible events should he enter the tavern. "Aw, where's your sense of adventure?" teased the younger corrupt. Certainly he'd caught the commentary on teeth, but his smile had remained lazy to that. A tidbit to keep in mind though...
Carnelian hadn't jinxed, them, though, as the proceedings were entirely uneventful, save the neat pile of silver coins that were discovered--Rigel had immediately made sure to pocket some of those to take a better look at them later. In fact, between the enjoyable grooming and lack of energizing events, the corrupt was almost feeling sleepy... thankfully, it was time to regroup before he nodded off.
The update on the situation had Rigel far more intrigued--again he'd wanted to experience a bit more action, but the General's orders for split groups had him sighing somewhat wistfully at the group already heading upstairs to seek out the youma. Instead, he again took the safe route and assisted with looking for another way out of the building.

General Tourmaline chooses to stay downstairs and Find the Backdoor. The time spent outside was fruitless save for knowing that the perimeter was secure for now. As the group filtered back inside to rejoin Uvarovite and the others she summoned her own youma, giving Macsen strict instructions to continue standing guard over the outside. It was to warn her if anything approached by any means necessary. "Be vigilant," she murmured before slipping inside. Late to the party as always, Tourmaline entered just in time to see a few others chasing a shadow up the stairs. It was to Uvarovite's presence that she was drawn to again, staying behind in the room that he had lingered in. Those remaining had been instructed to look for a back way in or out... It was a hell of a time to think of the Haunted Mansion -- an eerie voice filtering through her mind with thoughts on escaping a room with no windows or doors. "There is a door. We came in through a door," she muttered beneath her breath, dragging the metal claws of her gauntlets along the nearby wall in the chance they might catch on a latch or something. Aloud, to the rest who had lingered behind, she spoke clearly. "Look for switches, traps, places where the dust might have been disturbed... Anywhere that the air feels different. Anyone elves in the party who might be able to sense hidden doors?"

Reven chooses to stay downstairs and Find the Backdoor. The kitten made the most indignant, startled sound as she was lifted up into unfamiliar arms, but she quieted as she felt a chaotic aura, a senshi, and tipped her head back to look up at the one that'd picked her up. "Uh, hi." Casual, as if she hadn't just been howling and flailing. "I was with a captain, but I got knocked off his shoulder by some big clumsy oaf, and we got separated." She snorted softly, sprawling in the senshi's arms. "He didn't just lose me, he wouldn't do that." For a multitude of reasons. "But if you're offering a shoulder a ride on, I appreciate it, little legs and all." Not to mention all the youma and any other danger that lurked in the rift with them. "Mab. I'm Reven." At the very least it was quiet out here, but Reven wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not. Ears swiveling, did a slow scan of the area around them before looking back up at Mab. "What now?"

Mab chooses to stay downstairs and Find the Backdoor. Mab accepted the kitten's explanation with aplomb - who was he to say otherwise in her story? - and smiled a bit, the first non-distressed expression the senshi had managed to put upon that pretty, made-up face since stepping through the Hall of Shadows.
"Absolutely, sweet pea." The drawl was back, sweet as sorghum. "Reven, I think we ought to try finding another way, don't you?" Doors were important, for getting in or out - and her general was calling for them to find one: Mab's job was clear.
Mab tucked Reven up on her shoulder with the feathers and fluff, up securely between stiff collar and neck where the kitten could not fall from, stroking her cheek softly. "Let's show them what girls can do, shall we?" And she set about searching the area with as critical an eye as she'd ever put towards her craft.
Hals and Court would have been so proud.

Corrupt Super Sailor Noctua chooses to join the group Searching for Youma Upstairs. 10 pts
Noctua liked to think that she had grown up, but there was still much about her that was... immature. One of those areas in which she still needed to grow was that of independence. She had thought that by severing her connections to her previous general and all but demanding Benitoite take her under his wing had been a sign of that. Yet when Chrysocolla began to ascend the step to the second story to search for youma, Noctua followed without question.
Inwardly she kicked herself. She wasn't a shadow anymore. She was a fierce warrior. She'd grown in her magic since Cinnabar. Grown in herself. She was more certain... sort of.
Damn...
The steps creaked beneath her as she ascended them, keeping close to Chrysocolla as she did so. Perhaps it was the uncertainty of their situation and surroundings that made her default to her old ways... It was only natural for a lower-ranked senshi to want to shadow one of higher rank, right? But then again making excuse was only going to enable more of this behavior. Cinnabar had not taught her to make excuses. Benitoite would not accept them either. No. She had to understand that she was following Chrysocolla because she was uncertain of herself still. Only then would she grow.

Corrupt Sailor Arabia chooses to stay downstairs and Find the Backdoor. (8pts) Anyone who took Arabia's verbal bet would have lost. They were met with no resistance and sound the sound of the tavern, no one had any issues in there as well. At least that was what he though as his eyes picked up the random silver coins. Smiling to himself, he threw one towards Meri and smirked. "Don't ever say I never got you anything."With a wink, he followed the rest of those who stayed outside into meet the 'scouting party.' Truth was Arabia didn't like the idea of being in this old building. Any sudden moves or force applied to it and he could have sworn it would have come down on them. The thought made him shiver. But just as so many head upstairs after something, he chose to remain on the ground. It was a hard choice for him but looking at Meri, what was he supposed to do? A missed punch or some shock to his arm here and there was NO getting help for awhile. He would be worthless...more worthless than he already was. So instead, he headed with the group towards the back entrance...at least trying to find one. Seems another General was calling out possible things to keep in mind and Arabia could only nod in her general direction.

(Corrupt Sailor Meridiana) chooses to stay downstairs and Find the Backdoor.(8 points) It was reassuring to know that at least one of the General’s had a good head on her shoulders with the brief, yet sound, word of advice to all who were looking for alternate means of escape. Try as she might to walk quietly across the room, Meridiana actually for a moment contemplated removing her shoes as the heels were actually a bit louder than she meant for them to be. “You know,” she whispered quietly as she caught back up to Arabia. “If you’re trying to buy my silence then you’ll need to find a lot more of these.” Meridiana winked at him knowing full well that neither of them had anything to hide but the mere suggestion itself was likely enough to cause a few heads to turn if they managed to hear her comment. With a mischievous smile she gave his long lavender hair an almost suggestive before letting it go and actually turning her attention fully onto their objective, trying to spot anything in the immediate area that seemed out of place.

Vladimirite chooses to stay downstairs and Find the Backdoor.
He sighed. He was hardly good in a fight outside of posturing- and so going to chase down potentially very much more powerful than your average youma seemed a fast way to invite trouble. "With all due respect- I'll try to find a back entry." He said, saluting before beginning his search, gingerly peering around corners before taking a turn. It would be called cowardly he supposed, but, he rather liked not being outright killed for rushing in blindly to his own death. At least if he died peering around a corner, no one could call him a blind and rash fool.

General Uvarovite chooses to stay downstairs and Find the Backdoor. Seeing the shadows of something moving Uvarovite focused himself and waved a hand, sending his Youma up the stairs first after what the General assumed would be a few Youma. There had been a slim chance the area wasn't a nest but given the little bit of information he'd been provided before embarking on the trip it was a very slim chance. Most likely there were a few Youma guarding the gear they were looking for. With The Pet taking the lead hopefully none of the Youma waiting for them would be able to surprise anyone. If they did his own would be able to at least keep them at bay until the gathered officers could take care of the pests. "Everyone keep an eye out. There is no telling what sort of Youma we are dealing with. Assume they will be more dangerous and do not try to handle one on your own." Uvarovite would have preferred Tourmaline go upstairs with the others but at least his Youma was up there and would protect those who had followed the shadows unless he himself was in danger Upstairs Group Uvarovite's Personal Youma is on point guard it will protect the group unless Uvarovite calls it back to him.

Captain Annabergite chooses to join the group Searching for Youma Upstairs. (10 pts )
"No," said Annabergite without hesitation. The sad thing was that under normal circumstances - circumstances that did not include a broken heart and a life that he had spiraled down into nothing but grief and anger and frustration - he might have gotten along well with Kainite's persistent, ebullient attitude because it wasn't so far off from how Annabergite had once been.
A long time ago. It felt like years and yet he still hadn't managed to get over it. He wasn't sure that he ever could.
Fingers clenching tightly around the hilts of the daggers, he said tightly, "I'm not your boss. You don't have to explain your disappearing to me. So you took a sick day, it's whatever."
It was dangerous to go upstairs, and he knew this; he knew that choosing to run up was possibly the worst choice to make, because he was only a Captain, and who knew what was going to happen after that? But at the same time - when in the last few months had he ever cared about putting himself in serious situations? There was nothing else to do but throw himself headfirst into his work, so that was exactly what he was going to do.
Annabergite flipped both daggers around. "Going after these assholes," he said, and darted up the stairs, high heeled boots clicking.

Lieutenant Kainite chooses to join the group Searching for Youma Upstairs. "Ah... " It almost seemed like maybe Kainite had gotten the hint with the way he paused and drew himself back, his brow a little furrowed and lips set in a thin line. "I see. You're not into snacks." Well look at him, thin little thing. "I mean, my bad, but if you don't mind me saying so, you really don't look like you need to go on a diet. You look great, really!" He coupled that with the biggest smile in the world, teeth and all. It must really be tough not to have a high opinion of the way you looked - Kainite didn't know a thing about that, of course, but he was an actor. Actors had to learn empathy before anything else. Then, he kind of hummed. "Well, it was a bit more than a day, " a couple of years, "but I appreciate you accepting me as I am. And I do plan to do better from here, so..." So when it came to Annabergite charging in after those 'assholes' as he put it, being that he was a captain and a new friend, Kainite gave a chipper, "Okay!" and took right off after him.

Corrupt Guardian Obscura chooses to stay outside and Searching for Youma Upstairs. [ Points so far, +5 +3 ]
"Someone needs to watch their backs!" Obi gave a little nod form the arms of the Agent. She kept looking around, for anything moving in the distance. There really didn't seem to be anything outside, not at this particular moment though. "I have a little bit of magic that could aid you. And, when the time comes, I can help your reach a new level of power. Aside from that, I'm a cat. I can fit into small places?" And boy did she love fitting into small places. Stealing her humans socks so they'd never find them again.
As she looked around again she spotted the pile of silver coins that many others had seen as well. "Well at least we could have a neat memento of our time here." Obi never turned down a chance for a new shiny object. Plus, if 'Nubi and 'Mali didn't find anything neat, she could brag to them about it. Perfect way to get back at them for leaving her behind like that.
They eventually made their way inside the building and told they had two choice. Pursue the youma the main group had seen or look for another exit. As much as Obi would love to keep avoiding the dangers, she figured it was time they showed they were more than that. Plus, she really wanted to see more of the tavern.
"Let's go upstairs this time. If it's only one of them, with enough of us we should be totally fine!" Obi sounded confident, mostly because she didn't want Fettelite to be scared.

Lt. Fettelite chooses to join the group Searching for Youma Upstairs..
"That's.... Very kind of you to say! I'm Fettelite, just your kinda... average Lieutenant. It's really nice to meet you. I hope you don't gotta go into small places. What if you got stuck?" Having the kitten with him provided more than a little comfort, and he almost happily went along with her, looking around and scooping up a coin to keep for later. Just another little thing to decorate his barracks room.
Now that they were in the building... Well.. .That uncertainty filled his chest.
"I... I'm not..." If only he had the courage Obi had... Luckily her kind words and encouragement was more than enough to have him agree with her.
"Alright, let's go! I-I'm right here with you!" Of course he was, he was still carrying her, but that was beside the point. Together they went up the stairs and... Hopefully didn't encounter any *real* danger.
