"It's so pretty!!" Soho said, preening over her three necklaces. Then she impetuously hugged the other female feien, kissing her on the cheek. "Thank you, Gala!!" She said cheerfully as she let go.
"Thanks, darlin." Silva drawled. "And don't worry about dropping notes. We never read them anyway."

Galatea had managed to keep hold of Soho's hand after the hug and she squeezed it shyly. Then she released her and turned to duck a little bow at Silva. "Oh, well, but... I will. It's polite." She half-shrugged, a new motion for her, and combined it with a faint smile. "Even if you don't read them then I at least know I tried to warn you. And please, if you really would like me along for that picnic, let me know what I can bring."

"Cherries!" Nick called. "Boss gets pissed at us for using his as soccer balls!"
"It's a damn waste of a good cherry if you ask me." Silva muttered darkly.
"And candy! There can never be too much candy!" Soho said cheerfully. "Oooh, we'll invite Dee! And Marne! And--" She stopped, her mind rushing with all the people she wanted to invite.

"Hadrian?" Galatea suggested carefully. She wasn't sure if she was allowed to add to the guest list but Soho made her feel like it would be okay. The other girl feien was so -open- and friendly. Between her and Marne, Galatea was beginning to wonder if there was something wrong with her.

"Mister Hadrian!!" Soho said, practically bouncing with the idea. "Of course!! He can spar with Mister Silva Demon and Aleric!"
A wicked little grin crossed Silva's face at that thought. "Don't forget the old man's lady and Princess." He tossed in.
"Of course not!" Soho said.

Another thoughtful look sleeted over Galatea's face, the relief of Hadrian's inclusion hidden by it. "This will require a lot of cherries," she announced. "With so many people." She looked at Soho. "Will you introduce me to the people I don't know, Soho?"

"Sure!" Soho said cheerfully. "And you only need one or two cherries. They use it for the ball." She said with a nod. She had seen a few games before.
"It'll be fine, darlin." Silva said. "Toss Neruo onto that list, would you, darlin? And his little crew, I suppose..."
"Ooooh!! Inanna!!" Soho said. "I hope they can come!"
"If they can't come, they can't come." Silva said with a shrug. "I'm sure you'll see her sooner or later."

"Until the picnic, though, I would like to invite you to see my house," Galatea said quietly. She had picked up her new little bundle and held it before her, both hands tangled in the knot on top. She tilted her head. "The Captain might be home, too, and I can introduce you. I think she would like you both. Especially you, Mr. Silva."

Silva paused, memories of what she had said about her captain nudging at the back of his mind. "Sure, darlin. We'll do that." Why was he so gentle with this one? He treated her just as gently if not moreso than he did Soho...
It was as if she was too easy to break, he guessed. Something fragile that he didn't quite know how to deal with. So he tried to be more like Aleric. Sad.
Soho grinned. "Okay!! I want to see it!"

"Of course." Another little smile and Galatea gave Soho a little bow. "I'll give you a guided tour and perhaps you can suggest things to make it even nicer." Then she turned and gave another bow to Silva and another to Nick and Nack. "I ought to go now, though. I've taken up too much of your time and I ought to be home well before dark. Thank you for letting me visit and I'm glad you like the gifts. Oh, and thank you for the demonstration as well." She took a step towards the window. "Oh, and the Skittle. I'm sure it will be delicious."
