Gev remained resting on the pew.

Cheom blinked at the lack of response, and lifted herself up to look at Gevaudan. He... wasn't moving, wasn't speaking. She got up, and came over, to examine the man. Well, he was breathing... that was a good start. "Gevaudan?" She said, without shouting. When that produced no response other then him turning little, she frowned and looked around. Finally, she began to explore, carefully. She was seeking something that she could use to make a slowly rising crescendo of noise. Maybe a set of bells would work, if there were any that were not totally destroyed.

The church itself had once been a grand, beautiful building that, much like Ganymeade's official buildings of worship, had spared no expense. The pews had been made from a fine wood, lacquered to a once brilliant finish, with fine carvings at each end of various flourishing plants. A few confessionals were alongside the wall, their screens now torn but the paintings about the side of various beautiful creatures in a garden still faintly visible. Many items like tapestries or fine gold instruments had been stolen or destroyed in the raid of the church. Taken in hopes to sell it to buy bread, cheese, or some unspoiled meat.
However, after some searching, Cheom would find a dented censer, adorn with various bells upon it's chain. A chunk of a dried bundle of incense, half burnt, rested inside it's chamber.

Cheom looked sadly at the desolation of what had once been a beautiful place, but did not focus too hard. She peeked in the confessionals, just in case, but kept going when she found nothing inside of use to her. She sighed, disappointed, but just kept going. When she found the censer, she stared at it, frowning a little. Well... It had bells. They seemed to be all of the same size, but it might work. She eyed the incense, but left it alone, heading carefully back to where Gevaudan lay. She began to ring the bells, starting with one or two, and adding more as she goes, trying to create a crescendo of sorts, in the hopes of waking him up in a gentle fashion.

The first chime of bells did nothing, but after a few more his brows creased, frowning in his sleep before he turned his face towards the pew, reaching up to grab his hood and tug it over his face. As the chiming continued, he groaned. "That's loouuuddd." He whined.
Slowly opened his eyes, the world swam and moved on an axis as Cheom slowly went in and out of focus. "Stop it."

She carefully stilled the chimes when his eyes opened, and set it out of his reach, just in case. "I'm sorry it's loud, Gevaudan. I just don't think it's a good idea for us to spend the night here, and you had fallen asleep."
And she had work in the morning. She needed every tutoring penny she could get.
"Maybe show me how we get back home, and once you're... safely where you live, I won't try to wake you?"

"It's safe here. No one can come here but us." He slowly pushed himself up to sit, touching his head as everything swam. "I could live here." He said to himself.
Reaching out, he held to her hands and heaved himself up, staggering two steps to the right before letting go. "Alright. Where....oh.." He reached down and picked the bottle up. Twisting the cap on, he put it in his jacket and held out both of his hands.
"Let's go."

"Safe, perhaps, but that doesn't make it a good idea, to be here all night, alone amongst the dead. Especially as I have work in the morning." She said that in a tired way, like she really did not want to go to work... But she had to pay the bills after all.
She supported him as he was getting up, not objecting... She did not want him to get seriously hurt, and not just because he was her 'ride' home. He had been, in a somewhat odd way perhaps, kind to her. She appreciated people who were kind to her.
"Alright, thank you. And thank you for bringing me here."

"It's fine. Someone's gotta tell you something else you're wearing a uniform and fighting with no reason or knowing stuff." He took her hands in his and then took a breath.
"Alright. Back there again...great." He closed his eyes and with the same kind of pulling force, they rippled and the world yanked them from his wonder through space and time to the roof once again.
Dizzy, Gev walked over to his spot on the roof and sat down. "Have a good night, Cheom." He mumbled.

"I appreciate the information, too. We really do need some way to help the new ones learn..." She took a few breaths of her own, calmly holding his hands, and closed her eyes, waiting. Once they were 'back', she opened her eyes, and smiled at him, for a moment, then tilted her head with concern when he went over to sit down. "Are you sleepin' here tonight?" She asked, softly. If he was sleeping rough... she would keep an eye out for him. Try to bring him warm food, and all, sometimes, if he would let her. He had been kind to her. She would help him, if he let her.

"No. Probably would get gutted if I did that. Kind of want to keep my starseed tonight." He said, leaning back and breathing out.
"I'll find a hotel." He said, deciding that was better than taking the bus home. Wyatt didn't need his drunk a** stumbling through the front door. It would only make him feel worse for existing in that house. Worse that he might wake him up. Worse that he might be tempted to go in his bed and then possibly be kicked out. Or worse that Wyatt might let him stay and know he wouldn't be able to be there the next night.
Yeah, he'd take a hotel over that any day.
"You be careful and don't let them get at your chest. And once you get your ring, you can send me a message if you want to know more." If she cared.

"Alright. Good... It's probably gonna be cold tonight, you should sleep somewhere warm." She reached over and patted him on the shoulder, in a generally friendly way.
She smiled a little. "Will do. Did get warned about that one, the chest thing. And... Ring? Alright. Will do that, too. If I get my... Ring, I'll send you a message."
She had no idea what that was about, but when she figured it out, she would. She would cultivate any kind ally sent her way.
"Then, with that, I shall bid you Good Night as well, Gevaudan. It was a pleasure to meet you, and I hope to see you again." She headed off, towards the edge of the roof, and with a sound of displeasure, hopped off it, and out of sight.
