Even the outside decoration was signifying this ball to be the best that they could make it. But after she encountered Auburn in the dorms and realizing she had no idea where the infirmary even was, she apologized and left after a few successive exchanges of words. She needed to get some things done at the registrar's office during that time, anyway. And she needed to get it done before the dance. Since then, she hasn't seen anyone else on her team. She didn't even know what they looked like, just their names that were written on her scroll device. She was heading towards the bathrooms outside of the ballroom, waiting till the doors finally opened wide to welcome its students. She knew she was coming in late when people started heading the other way, but she just had to make sure she was fully prepared with an empty bladder before she could even think of diving into the food and drink. Once she was done with making sure she didn't carry any excess with her, she entered the large ballroom, gazing at the beautiful decorations and all the people that were there. The Faunuses and the humans were mixing, making no clear indication of which is which. She bumped into people occasionally but wasn't quite sure who it was that she was bumping into.
At last, she found an open table and chair to sit on. Nobody else was there and she wasn't completely sure if there was a seating arrangement according to team members or not. So she just idly sat there in the meantime as she watched people streaming into the huge room, taking note of each face and their overall physical visage. She was surprised at how many students there were coming in, and how different they all were from each other. Nature had the variety of genes on its side, and she betted these people's backgrounds were just as colorful as each and every one of their appearances. She simply watched and sat there, observing others while she thought about getting a glass of water from the buffet table. Reikka was very much comfortable in these situations, very much at home in these formal settings. When she was young, she was thrown parties which were as grand as these, but as their fortunes grew small and their money thin, she had to settle for smaller parties that meant just as much to her parents as it did to her. When she turned 18, however, she told her parents she would like nothing more than to go to Beacon as a Birthday present. In all honesty, that was all she wanted during that time. And she didn't regret it for one second.

These past two weeks, After the events that transpired at the arena. The events in which he felt he only succeeded at slowing down. Had they all pursued Feng then perhaps it would have gone significantly smoother as oppose to him insisting a more tactile approach. True it may have succeeded but at the end of the day Fengs intent had carried over. She had desired they accustom themselves to her musics enhancement capabilities and that was made very much apparent. As for his time in the dorm room the past two weeks. Predominantly being the one to wake earliest his routine had changed. He was no longer still awake and around to make their beds although he did make certain that all the other essentials of home and comfort were fulfilled. Laundry folded, coffee brewing, towels changed etc. The first two days he had distanced himself from Daenerys and the team as a whole. Curious to say the least, and likely his lack of presence only aided in Daenery's inability to outwardly ask him to this dance. But why this was, where he had been, these things would come to light as he'd enter in the only formal attire he had in his possession that being his sommelier outfit.
Declining the proposition of a soft drink. "I only drink such things on rare occasion.""Awww don't be a downer Jenny. This is a rare occasion isn't it!""Ah, you're correct. Still, I think I'll refrain for the time being.""Alrighty! More for me then!Indeed Jentel had attended this autumn ball with someone else in tow. Someone who seemed to be brimming with energy in direct contrast to he himself. She seemed slightly tomboyish in nature, her pigment implying heavy exposure to the sun daily, even her dress while it had a charm to it was quaint and reserved, rather than heels she wore laced wedges with a modest heel enough to pass a dress code inspection. Her cup-size may have almost been non-existent compared to the other girls attending modest in all accounts if not the bare minimum of what could be considered formal. Truthfully compared to the other stunning attires some other girls were wearing she was a caterpillar among butterflies.
Only then after she downed both their drinks did they both enter arms locked. Or rather she locked arms with him and yielded to the advance. Shortly after taking a few steps did he feel the tug on his arm as his assumed date pointed to the dance floor tugging him. "C'mon let's go dance Jenny!" Loud enough that those nearby could hear she would say this enthusiastically pointing to other dancers whom paid them no mind. Looking the opposite direction he would then see streaks of familiar pink hair attempting to make way for a corner. Such behavior meant he could only come to one conclusion as to who it might be. "Ah, of course but first I would like you to meet someone." Cheeks slightly puffed from being derailed from her desires Jentel's date would concede but not before guaranteeing her dance. "Promise? No take backs.""Perish the thought."
Jentel would then approach Daenerys from behind likely surprising her. Unless of course she'd already noticed him earlier somehow and or pretended not to notice. "Now now, Madame Daenerys is that anyway to behave in time of celebration? I'd compliment you but I'm sure you've already received your fair share already." The girl of whom was accompanying Jentel, who clung to him and rested her head on his slender arm like one would a teddy bear, stared at Daenerys almost vacantly. Something most definitely said this must have been the 'reason' Jentel was so often gone recently. "Oh, pardon my manners I wanted to introduce the two of you Madame Daenerys this is Madame Anjanette. By the hand of her persistence she is also my date for tonight's festivities. Do get acquainted while I procure us something to drink."
Perhaps carelessly done Jentel would leave to the refreshments table leaving Daenerys with his date who had reluctantly let go. Placing her hands on her hips she would look up and down Daenerys. Comparing the two of them was like night and day. Daenery's was stunning, she seemed plain, Daenerys carried an air of mystique and Anjanette carried an aura of extroversion, although the one thing her gaze seemed most affixed on was Daenerys breasts. Then clearly being the more assertive one Anjanette would break the ice as it were by turning her head away and crossing her arms before placing them back on her hips. She sounded almost confrontational in doing so what with her hands on her hips and her sudden serious tone of voice. It was like looking at another feng. A coco colored feng. "So you're Jenny's room mate he talks about all the time huh?" She would say rather unimpressed. But then this shifted to a smile as she looked at the drink table where Jentel was filling wine glasses with fruit cocktail before looking back at Daenerys.
Her voice would soften and ease up though still had a flare to it before looking back at Daenery's with a sudden enthusiasm. "Isn't Jenny great! Super nice, can make plushies, and is super fun." She would count these things on her fingers before reaching into a small purse pulling out her scroll. Though to be honest it was more so a fanny pack slung to look like a purse. "See." She would then begin flipping through a bunch of pictures. Simultaneously in doing so the events of what Jentel had been doing without Daenery's and the team was becoming clearer. It also went to show what Anjanette usually dressed like. It also went to show someone was taking these pictures, whomever that was. "This was when I we first met, I asked if I could take a picture of his cool uniform but would you believe it he started walking away! He warmed up to the idea a few day later. This one was thursday, I had too much..um cider.. and he let me sit in his lap and take a nap, then er this one was I think was four days ago where I asked if he could pick me up..oh and that was two days ago when I caught him braiding his hair and taught him how much cooler ribbons are instead."
Indeed Jentel was one of Daenery's closest friends. There was one thing for certain while Daenery's continued being the recluse she was Jentel was making other friends it seemed a friend enough that he would take her to this ball instead of her. Not that it should have been expected he would or anything. The pictures that Anjanette scrolled through piling up. What seemingly took month for the two of them, she seemed to have accomplished in a manner of two weeks. Although, closer inspection of the pictures showed Jentel less than enthused it didn't particularly show that he was disliking Anjanettes actions in them either.
Surprisingly enough. Allister was in attendance, something peculiar coming from someone who was typically a chaotic person, to some maybe even nearing the edge of chaotic evil. He was of course sporting his usual attire, seeing as it could pass for formal, of course he had to use a non-tattered cape...pft plebeians. Though something of a peculiarity. He would notice both his lovely lady roomies arriving. Of course he took the initiative to leave first and early. After all women take forever and as glorious as girl bits are there was little interest on his part...well at least for now and so it seemed. Back to the peculiarity. He seemed agitated. He was swirling a glass of fruit cocktail. He didn't even go so far as to extend a leg when the masked man came by in typical school house bully fashion. In fact it seemed he hadn't even noticed Allister, what with Jentel's pouring three glasses of the same non-alcoholic fruit cocktail. Where was the fun in non-alcoholic beverages. Seeing people s**t themselves and do stupid things was the light of events like these...yeah. Events like these...events like these.
"Tch." Glass in hand he'd walk up to the cripple and the cat. Snark for snark of course had become the usual routine between the dynamic duo what with the poor Maria being caught in the cross fire..and despite the jazzy atmosphere Allister was in an even bigger s**t mood than usual...and yet. What he said after approaching them may have come as a shock. "Kendall. Maria. You both look lovely this evening." He'd then proceed to walk away. One would have expected an accidental 'oops my drink' or at least a backhanded follow-up to the compliment. Visceral back and forths of venomous words between the oil and water that was him and the lion but even if she did retaliate as per usual. She wouldn't recieve a response. Maybe it may have been strange if not enough to rouse suspicion, it was always a battle of last laughs or final words but there wasn't even a fight here...and he had very much the ammunition to do so. Seeing as if he did entice her to claw at his throat the security would be all over her.
Eyebrows furled he did what any bat would do. He'd brood. The aura emanating from his was nothing but pure unadulterated loathing...and likely brewing thoughts of deviancy. But...with the sheer number of people here..such elaborate stunts would prove difficult. He would need a team of like minded individuals. A knit group of people who detested these kinds of events and could certainly make an 'unforgettable night.' In order to distract himself from whatever seemed to have been bothering him at this moment he began to piece together elaborate and convoluted plans to replace said thoughts that pecked at him.

Adam listened to the music tapping the tab of his pop to the beat. He closed his eyes and felt the beat. He smiled as he felt more and more at ease. He has never been to such a function before. where he was from wasn't too high on this stuff. It took him an entirety of two weeks to find the clothes he was in, match them properly and shine his shoes to satisfaction. He didn't understand why he went to such lengths. Well the shoes were obvious. He's obsessed with shiny things. Everything else? He had a good guess. It had to be because of his date. Something about her made him feel it had to be just right otherwise it wouldn't do her a justice. He heard more and more students arrive and would slightly open his eyes to see all who came. A few he recognized from his class. He would slightly open his eyes everytime he heard someone enter until the one he was waiting for arrived. He bobbed his head to the music as he heard the soft clicking of heels again. He barely opened his eyes to see what he was waiting for. The sight was breathtaking. The golden huntress stepped in with black heels, helping her height, with her raven black hair braided in a beautiful design laying over her shoulder. The two things that set it all off were her dress and her eyes. The two naturally set each other off in the best ways possible. Adam would be surprised if she didn't turn head with every step. He felt a slight tug at his heart, but made no move to the feeling. The feeling of having such a pretty date wasn't something he thought he'd react to. He was beginning to think something was wrong with him, but he just brushed that to the side for now. While preventing himself from being floored by her beauty, he saw that trademark smirk of hers and knew she could see him. He could barely see her through the slits of her eyes, but he tracked her as well as he could. The clicking of heels fought against how quiet she tried to be. He could feel her presence getting closer and closer with each passing second. Just as she was about to poke him between the shoulder blades, he dropped his head backwards to look at her upside down. "What's up, Cap?" he smiled as her finger poked him in the forehead. He smiled and stood to talk to his date as a gentleman should. He turned to her and now that she was so close and his eyes were fully open he could take in everything as she was. Everything she had one was perfect. It matched the season and tone of the ball and her personality. Vibrant, attention grabbing and a hint of a calm flame that could roar any second. In a good way. Her make-up looked so natural. As if she didn't have any on at all. He was never one to gawk at women and analyze them, but he knew he wasn't the biggest fan of make-up. Some here and there was fine, but too much blocked the actual beauty and didn't enhance it. But Ridley did everything right. Just gorgeous. "W-wow." he said. He coughed and composed himself quickly. "You look mighty fine yourself, girl." he smiled crossing his arms. He took her hand and spun her around to get a good look at all her hard work. "Are you sure you're my leader? You can't be. You're too tall." he joked. "Dapper, huh?" he responded. Adam adjusted his tie as he put on a posh accent, "Well, Ms. Delmhorst, you're praise doesn't fall on deaf ears. I do say I worked quite hard to put all this together so I thank you." he bowed. He joked, but he wasn't lying. "And might I say that you look absolutely ravishing this evening?" he joked, but he wasn't lying. He felt that tug at his heart again after complimenting her honestly. Once again, he just let it be. This confusing feeling he would explore later. For now, he just wanted her and his team to have a good time. He held a chair out for her to join him at the table. He wouldn't sit unless she did. If she wanted to walk around and explore the event a bit, he wouldn't be opposed to that. Reclaiming his natural accent he asked, "Can I get you some snacks or somethin'? Looks like they have some good stuff." he offered. Adam caught sight of Cecil. It seemed like he was waiting for Azura so he just smiled and waved at him to acknowledge his presence.

Remus made his way back to the ball. This time he proceeded on inside. Like everyone else he was handed a nice looking glass that was filled with a bubbly drink he assumed was a soda of some sort. Judging by the color he figured it was orange soda. He took a taste as he made his way over to the largest of the bridges that arched over the small brook in the outdoor area. 'MM! Didn't expect that.' He thought as the familiar zing of carbonated water hit his tongue. The flavor wasn't the familiar tang of orange soda though. Seemed the drink was mearly orange in color but it was more fruity flavored than just orange juice or other single fruit juice. So something more like a fruit punch mixed with carbon water filled his glass. It had a pleasant flavor and he was satisfied with it. Remus came to a stop at the peak of the bridge's arch and looked around.
He scanned the heads in the crowd outside the venue. Unsurprisingly he spotted the light blue hair that would indicate a possible Chloris by some of the colorful trees. 'Close to nature, that would surely be Chloris.' Remus thought to himself. He was more certain as there was a girl close by with a head white as snow. Remus didn't know many other people around the school with hair like that besides himself and Ella. With his teammates spotted he crossed the bridge to the side they were on. He had to be careful of his drink and the movements of others so winding his way through the crowds was slower than he would of liked. He would reach them eventually no matter what though. The moment he broke free of the crowd he sped up into a light jog like pace for the last nine steps it would take for him to clear the remaining distance. He came to a stop before the girls of Team HARE. "You two are looking ravishing tonight." He complimented the both of them politely but sincerely as he bowed to the pair of them.
Remus was taking an officer and a gentleman approach for the night. As he straightened from his bow he gave both the girls a pleasant smile. He was wearing black pants partnered with a white dress shirt which was largely hidden away by a black tie and vest. His sports jacket was also black to complete the look. It was a nice match to what Ella was wearing, though black tended to work with just about anything your date could think up to wear. "You two haven't seen our esteemed leader have you? I was out looking for him, but had to give up. I didn't want to make my date wait too long for me, and for all I know I might of just missed him just to find he was already here." He posed the question to them after looking around to verify Henryk wasn't somewhere in the immediate vicinity.
Kail walk into the ball. Her hair down like it always was. She had Yui and the rest of team OHKY help her with her dress. She believed in their confidence. However, she had a job today. Today she was to supervise students to make sure that there was no alcohol in the building. They were relying on her ability to smell to do it. She would honestly just plant herself by the punch bowl. If anyone wanted to spike the punch, then they would go there.
She would have her cane out, going towards where she hoped it would be. She would flick her tongue out, sniffing the air. There was a smell of booze in the air. She would move towards it, her cane going back and forth. She would then get close to the source, and she would point her can towards it. "No alcohol at the ball." She would say, pointing to Ren.
Danaë noticed that Narx had blushed. He was happy, but Danaë didn't know what overcame her to do that. Maybe it was something that she didn't remember. However, her heart was beating. She swore that it was beating so loud that Narx could hear it. He would grab her hand, training behind him as they went towards the ball, Danaë holding up the front of her dress as the heels she wore left no noise behind them.
They arrived at the ball together, music was playing and everyone was gathering around and talking. Some people were sitting, others standing. There was so much going on, it was almost overwhelming. She would give Narx's hand a squeeze, remembering that she wasn't alone in this. He was with her, and that was comforting. He had been there with her throughout ordeal after ordeal. She wanted to make sure that she stayed with him, but she also understood that they would need to be apart. "What should we do first?" She would ask him, unsure of herself.
__They rate me at (9 ) Level 0. ______My aura is.. inactive, and my semblance is.. down. ______I fight with teamDECO. ________My status is.. content ___I am at.. Beacon Ball_______Currently I'm in the company of.. Yennefer, Calista, and Eli
___ After the events in the cafeteria came to a conclusion the group made their way to the infirmary set up in the school gym. Cali wasn't the only one getting onto Eli about pushing himself to hard thought. He refused to let anyone else handle carrying Cali despite both her and Nox's objections. As far as Nox was concerned Cali could probably manage to walk on her own, her injury didn't look to be all that deep. Eli on the other hand should have two girls under his arms to hoist him along. There were no less than five times by Nox's count where she thought he was about to black out from blood lose and pushing himself to hard based on how he was teetering while he was walking. [crimson]'Why are men such wool-headed fools?' She kept grumbling to herself in complaint to his stubborn resolve to do this his way.
___ While Eli and Cali were being treated for their injuries Nox wondered how much longer it would be before the school finished moving all this back to where it belonged instead of having it sit here in this forward triage center they had set up during that incident. She also passed the time chatting with Yennefer about what she thought of Cali's semblance ability. It was certainly an interesting ability in Nox's opinion. Though problematic in equal to or even greater margins than useful at first look. Thinking back on it this explained why she seemed so upset when she heard the team tag and why she jumped to the conclusion she had about what it meant. Nox rubbed her forehead as she thought about it. She could certainly understand why Cali thought of herself as being cursed, but it was a great power to have. Most great powers have downsides that make mastering them difficult. Nox felt certain that Cali's power would be something exquisite once she was able to master it. Until then she, Nox, would just have to be aware of it and figure out how best to make use of it. Of course after having seen what happened to Eli's clothing while he was carrying her to the infirmary indicated that they would actually all need to aware of it.
___ Just as soon as the school nurse had turned Eli and Cali loose the group had headed for their dorm room. Since Eli had filled them in on the abilities of Cali's semblance on the way Nox figured this was as good a time as any to fill in everyone about the others combat abilities. Particularly their semblances since it was the current topic. "Well we all know what Cali can do now, so I might as well explain my own since I just put it on display back there. We will all need to know this information about each other to operate as a team anyway. My semblance is called Dust Diffusion. Simply put the abilities of my semblance allows me to manipulate dust. Through my semblance I can..." Nox pursed her lips during a pause to gather her thoughts and breath. "see... I guess that is the best way I can describe it. I can see the bonds of dust that make up our world. By applying my aura I can break it down, gather it up, and direct it. I'm not sure if that really makes sense to everybody but I hope it does." When she finished her own explanation she passed the subject on to Eli and Yenna. Cali likely already knew the details about Eli's semblance. Yenna's of course was unknown to the lot of them until this chat was finished.
___ After the group had turned in for the night Nox climbed onto her bed beneath Yenna's loft bunk. She wrapped herself up in her blankets and sat with her back up against the head board in the corner it made with the wall. The corner filled with the glow illumination of her scroll. She had a document open and was writing down her thoughts and ideas concerning the team onto it. It's wasn't a diary as much as a planner. Though she did plan to update her diary after she finished with this. A few hours later, she finished up. Her gaze rising as she looked up into the darkness beyond the harsh glare of her scroll. The pupils in her eyes shifted to slits so she could see the room clearly. As expected Eli and Cali were sleeping together, though right up to the very end Cali wasn't talking to him. She tapped her finger against the edge of her scroll as she gathered her thoughts to put them down into the diary entry she was finally ready to make up. Her thinking ground to a stop though as her eyes closed without permission. She hadn't been long into her sleep when a voice snapped her back. It seemed that Eli and Cali weren't as asleep as she had thought they were. Eli had been the one that had woken her. Still trying to apologize for his heroics. He tried to make his appeal by means of the upcoming dance. 'Hmmm, the school was holding a dance weren't they... Guess I'll have to figure out what to wear, but later...' There wasn't a way for the two to notice she was awake still, neither were facing her way too. Either way, she kept her eyes closed and willed herself back to sleep. Eventually leaving them to talk in peace as she found it quick enough.
*** Advance 2 weeks***
___ Nox sipped on her drink while she waited for the others to get here. Eli had told her and Yenna to go on ahead. Meeting up at the event was fine, but at times easier said than done. There were a lot of students here. Nox had endeavored to stick close to the entry point to the ball. This was the best way to find people that were arriving later. Just have to keep a vigilant eye out on who was showing up and then move in once the people your were waiting for arrived. She spotted Eli rather easily once he came in. Being tall was useful, made him easier to spot. She couldn't see Cali though but she was surely there. Making her way over to them was made easier thanks to Eli's decision to stand under one of the chandeliers. Nox emerged from the crowd of other students just shy of three minutes after Eli and Cali had stopped. She had to stop suddenly when a student cut in front of her with a passing "Excuse me." Once past that last obstacle she fully arrived at Cali's side
___ With how much attention Eli had been giving to Cali it would be unsurprising to her if this was the first time he had actually seen either her outfit or Yenna when she joined up with them. Nox was wearing a dress that started off a dark purple, almost black, on her chest and faded into a numerous blues and purples at her hips before all color faded away complete as it neared the hem. Nox always had her hair up and tonight was no different. Though it wasn't in a pony tail tail with ribbon tonight. There was decorative ribbon tied to hold it back, with the exception of one tails worth that rested over her right shoulder. In the back there was a second ribbon tied in to make a layered pattern. "You look lovely Cali, and Eli you look particularly dashing. Trust me Cali already knows you are her knight." Nox was in a very good mood and it showed in her joking. She looked around at the crowd for a second before adding. "Yenna was here a moment ago. She said something about exploring I think and took off into this crowd." She explained why she was alone here before Eli or Cali could get a chance to ask here where their fourth teammate who had come out with Nox had gotten to.
Oswald was still not happy on what happened at the courtyard. He didn't even see his own teammate. He instead just left his dorm and release some steam. He loosened enough just in time for the ball. This would be the first 'dance' he's ever been in and he knows full well that something could happen, just like before. He would most likely avoid these events. But something like this would be good to know his team and maybe see the team captain, the one he is looking for. He observed the area and saw both of his teammates are here. He first went to Sakura who seems to be by herself. "Hey, you seem troubled, Sakura." He caught that she was definitely not well.

After she got in Eira immediately set out on a mission to locate some people from her new team. She finished the drink she had been given upon coming into the ball and left the glass at a turn in location. Then went back on the prowl. It was a tall order and needed a bit of luck. But luck was something this girl had. Loads and loads of it.. probably. Well if luck was all in attitude she almost had a monopoly. And as luck would have it she found what she was looking for in the form of a sad looking girl sitting by herself at table fringing the throngs of gathered students. Eira bolted ahead and quickly arrived beside Sasselia. Eira's arms rocketing out to grab hold of the girl around the neck and shoulders in a hug. She hit hard enough to knock the other girl half out of her seat, making room of the now free half of seat for Eira. She laughed happily. "I found you Sass" The way she said it put some sauce into Sasselia's name making it sound even sexier. "What's our good looking leader doing here all on her lonesome?" Eira peered around the other girls shoulders in a manner that said she was expecting to find a date hiding in the shadows.
Eira was alone since she had spent the last couple weeks shut away dealing with the paperwork to transfer teams and having most everyone she was familiar with go missing. So it really wasn't surprising she had been off on her own, away from any potential dates that could of asked her out. Sasselia thought should of been fair game on the market. "Say.. does your suspicious lack of company perhaps indicate the guys in this school don't have enough spine?" She asked softly in a voice halfway between joking and seriousness. It was hard to tell which she was aiming for. Eira herself was wearing a nice white dress with a metallic gold belt. The dress showed off some cleavage and the bust and upper waist was decorated with gold patterning. Her hair had been straightened and was much more tamed than it normally was, though the free hair that fell down her back was still marked by the occasional piece that refused to conform. Over all the bit of wild hair actually seemed to compliment the tamer majority to achieve a nice look.

Chloris was starting to get restless as she waited under the tree, sipping on her soda silently. So, in spotting Ella, the petite young woman was more than pleased to see her teammate. As she was approached, Chloris discreetly took in the girl's look, so as not to make Ella feel uncomfortable."Hello Ella~!"She greeted happily, blushing softly at the compliment on her dress. Her mossy-green eyes meeting El's."Your dress looks beautiful as well. Have you seen the boys?"She asked, though her companion seemed just as confused.
After a little bit of small conversation and appreciation of the decor, she would catch sight of another, taller, teammate. She smiled kindly and gently turned Ella in Remus' direction so the poor bookworm would not be spooked by his approach once. She then folded her hands in front of her and smiled to them both."Thank you, Remus. You look handsome tonight."She responded and complimented in kind. Her eyes then took another glance around before resting on her partners."It would seem he is running fashionably late, as is Henryk's style. Probably polishing his horns or putting a last touch to his outfit or something,"She replied to Remus' question, not a stranger to Henryk's habits.

§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§ SasseliaArgenia TEAM: ACER SEMBLANCE:not activated ------------ Oookay now this was all getting over the top. The jazz music was doing nothing for the nerves, but was more making the eardrums throb. The people voices mashing together were becoming a symphony of foreign emotions that were beginning to weigh on the shoulders more then necessary. It was a little to much. It was to a point Sasselia was prepared to get up and leave. She made her visit and all was said and done. There was no point of being a negative nelly around an atmosphere of fun and entertainment. With a defeated sigh, the ACER team leader was preparing to leave. Unexpectedly she was instead faced with a moment, being almost knocked out of her chair. She managed to catch her balance, shoulders rigid a moment as she believed she was being attacked. The woman only calm down as realization kicked in by a somewhat familiar voice, and the fact she was only moved down a little she was not fully on the ground. Close one. "E-Eira... " Sassys voice came out almost like a squeak, her personal space completely invaded by the hug once it had finally became more aware that is what was going on.
One of the only people just recently introduced, it was their new team that brought them together. There was still adjusting to the other three, and the familiar recognition she was their team leader. Heck she even forgot due to the distractions around. Talking with them was a slow progression. It did not help by the way her name was pronounced, a faded shade of pink on her cheeks."Yes it seems you had... Which is fine! I-I do not mind." To Eiras innocent question, a linguring pause hid there for a few moments, too embarassed to say anything at first. Eira so far was coming off as a total angel of bubbly wonders, but was it alright to talk about it? Bitter judgment towards herself made her give in on the other hand, speaking before she cpuld even stop herself. "I was... I am I mean.. Overwhelmed. I did not believe this would be so... So grand. I have been ... Sitting here.. Trying to find reason to stay and force a talk out of my shell... So far as you see... Uhm..." The comforting hug from Eira was helping a little bit, and the leader quietly closed her eyes letting the warmth sink in to soothe her nerves better. She almost gulped at her comment about the men around, a little more lively of a response then her isolation answers popping up. "N-no!! Thats not it! I-I mean it is not them to be blamed... Arriving very late to this place did wonders alone as is. I-if they are spineless I should say it is my own doing." holy crap she felt her face burning a little. Must be the heat, or the fact she was sounding like she was only making excuses for herself on the most part. Eira should not have be stuck dealing with this or better yet be hearing it. If the men were spineless she was obviously not doing something right. Or perhaps they were, as Eira said, were spineless. It was hard to tell the latter on that topic. It was then she noticed how Eira was dressed, both awed and envied by the choice of attire. It was to Sassy, exotic and delicate. The dress made Eiras' eyes pop, and the gold belt on her dress brough another touch of color. Those were the only things she could see from her view. "You look beautiful tonight Eira... I am rather surprised you did not get yourself a date either. You just... Did your errands you needed to though right? Or were you stuck like I was being dateless?"
With that thought in mind she glanced around the room a moment, recounting and tallying any other possible dateless people. Perhaps it was not too late after all... There were from her count possibly more then four that were out of luck. One for either one of them..... If she could finally fight the nerves away and actually ask. The music made her want to dance now that was for certain. It was a matter now of either approaching someone to be a dance partner, or chicken right out. Thank god for Eiras' arrival. She was being able to deal with the dance better now she was not sitting alone.

"My heart is to the past but my soul and mind are to the future."
Life, is like the ocean. It can be rigid, or it can be still... ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
A voice sounding from behind her caused the tiny jellyfish to jump in fight. She had been so certain no one had noticed her retreating to a corner where she would have been content to spend the rest of the night.at least until it would be appropriate enough for her to slip back put and retire to the dorms. The voice though was a familiar one, and as the realization of who it was darned on the girl, she felt her cheeks warm. Turning around slowly to face him, cheeks painted in scarlet, Daenerys looked as if she might want to hide in her hair as she so often did. However, with the intricate braids that were pinning it half up made that task increasingly difficult. So rather she was forced to face the man head on, or at least as direct as things ever got with Dani, which was really on the opposite end of the spectrum for the girl. Usually brief, momentary eye contact, if at all, followed by shyly casting her gaze asside. Initially she was happy to see Jentel, as he had been absent so frequently lately. It had almost felt like he had been avoiding her, but she tried not to dwell on it, blaming it as always on the anxiety and her tendency to over think such things. It wasn't that the happiness faded when she the pale haired girl attached to Jentel's arm, but rather that a plethora of other emotions overshadowed it. Surprise. Confusion. The anxiety of interacting with a stranger. Something else that she couldn't quite put her fingers on. As was usual for Daenerys, the shock of it all knocked her back, making it impossible to speak or do much of anything except stare up at Jentel with wide, amethyst eyes. It was likely a reaction Jentel was used to but one the extrovert on his arm might find odd.
"Um... w-well... I'm..." It took her sever minutes to even attempt to speak, but she couldn't seem to come up with an excuse as to why she was trying to hide away. Instead it sounded like she might be about to apologize, but in the end her voice just trailed off into silence. At his compliment, cage as it might be as it rather suggested that others had already complimented her, she simply shook her head, the pink color in her cheeks only darkening. It was no question that Dani was a sight to behold, both a natural allure as well as the extravagance of such an event bringing that beauty out. Bathed in pastels, her skin seemed to glimmer under the golden lights. The lack of compliments was likely do to the timid creature forciably keeping out of people's way. No one would have gotten a chance with the way she made a b-line straight for the corner, or had at least attempted to before Jentel spoke in. She could help the strange little flutter in her chest at hearing such words for him, but the sight of the darker skinned girl curled so tightly around his arm made her quickly shove the feeling away. It was a blessing that Jentel step into speak once more, this time working towards an introduction, for Dani clearly wasn't having any luck with this introduction. "P-pleasure." Voice a soft murmur full of nerves, that was the only response she could muster up for this girl but she was at least attempting politeness. She worked at a friendly smile, but it didn't take a mirror for her to realize that she had failed miserably at the deed. Then, just as soon as he had introduced them, Jentel left for drinks. She looked after him with panic in her eyes as he left her alone with this woman she'd just met.
Dani's gaze lingered on him long after he had reached the refreshment table before slowly, almost reluctantly turned violet eyes to Ajannette. She peered at her through long lashes, rather than looking at her directly. She looked as if she wanted to shrink into herself, fingers trembling at her side. That bubble of anxiety had returned to her chest, expanding and pressing so uncomfortably at her ribcage. There wasn't enough space in her torso. Feeling like she might burst, her lungs were crushed making it nearly impossible to breath. Her heart had sought shelter in her throat, making her feel that she might choke. Dani felt the girl's eyes on her, hands transitioning from crossed firmly over her chest to placed upon her hips, she felt as if she were being appraised by another Feng which only caused the girl to sink further into her shell with anxiety and intimidation. It all came to a rather embarrassing climax for the faunus when she felt where Anjannette's eyes landed and where the lingered the longest. She couldn't help the deep red color that flooded her cheeks, rivaling the vibrancy of both her hair and her gem-like eyes. Almost instinctively delicate arms rose up, trying to cover her chest as much as possible. In hope of eye contact had been completely lost at this moment, tucking her chin in a flustered shyness towards the ground and choosing to stare at the tips of her white, lace heels that poked put just barely beneath the pastel, tulle skirt of her dress. The girl's voice was both serious and confrontational as she addressed the nervous little jellyfish. The words only flustered her further, as well as bringing a bit of renewed surprise to her. "I-I... wasn't aware... I d-didn't know he..." Clearly struggling, her voice once again trailed off before it was really finished. There was the same little flutter in her stomach at the idea of Jentel talking about her, but once again she shoved it aside before she could focus on it. Those feelings were all confusing enough as it was, adding Ajannette, who was here as his date, to the the mix only increased the difficulty. It wasn't that Dani had expected Jentel to ask her to accompany him to the ball... why would he? Heaven knew she was far to timid to be as outward as to ask him herself... but she hadn't expected him to bring someone else either.
When Ajannette spoke once more, her voice was a bit soften, though not lacking in its precious flare. Her eyes wondered back to the table Jentel had disappeared to and Dani took a moment to glance back up st the girl, if only briefly. Her voice was full of enthusiasm as he spoke of Jentel. Though Dani knew not of his ability to make plushies, she had witnessed some of other talents, such as manicuring. She had to agree that he was nice, always so polite. Not to say things were always the stereotypical type of fun with him. Often she found herself confused, shocked, flustered beyond belief. There was always something. Each mystery solved, unfolded into another. Each one more confusing and complex than the last. Often times there were interferences from his so-called master that only ever added to the confusion, shock, or embarrassment, but then there were quieter moments. More tender moments. Moments when her hear reacted in a way she couldn't quite explain and no matter what, she always enjoyed the time she got to spend with him. Realizing just how long her mind had drifted on the topic, she blinked several times to clear her thoughts and gave a slight nod. "Y-yes... he's really wonderful." If it had been possible for her to blush any darker, she surely would have.
The conversation didn't stop there, rather Ajannette dug into the fancy pack slung around her hips and pulled out her scroll, click across the screen for a moment before turning it to show her. She explained each picture as she swiped through them. Initially Daenerys was a bit surprised, but the slideshow did bring about some clarity as too where Jentel had been spending most of his time these days. With the clarity come another mystery, as was usual. Someone had clearly been taking these pictures for them and as to who it was, Dani had no clue. She couldn't speak as the girl continued on with the slew of pictures. She felt both her chest and her throat growing tighter and ir wasn't just the anxiety this time. It was a different emotion. Something that was completely unfamiliar to her... something she couldn't quite explain. But she didn't like it. Not one bit. She had felt the two had grown closer that day in the dorms several weeks ago. Certainly they had learned a lot about each other... and there had been a moment, slight as it was... well... that clearly didn't matter now. She considered Jentel a friend, a close one, and while he had been avoiding her, he had been off making new friends. It was selfish to keep him all to herself, and she didn't want that. She wanted him to be happy. She wanted him to have many friends. For she knew the pain of his past and felt that he deserved it. It just hurt a bit, because a part of her felt like she was losing the one friend she had. Not to mention Anjanette had seemed to be able to grow much closer to him in a much shorter amount of time. It had taken Daenerys months to do what she had managed in two short weeks. What stung particularly bad was the picture of her putting ribbons in his hair. It wasn't so much the picture, but the words with it. He had been practicing braiding before... something she had thought him. Her heart gave a slight throb at that, but she did her best to ignore it, along with everything else.
When the pictures came to an end, it once again took the jellyfish several moments to muster up anything to say. With a deep breath, she worked at a smile, hoping that any of the underlying emotions didn't show through. "It looks like you've both had lots of fun together... I'm glad." The statement was completely sincere, because Dani's heart was much too big to wish I'll intent upon anyone, especially those she cared about. She would smile, or try to at least, and wish them the best, no matter how much it hurt her. Sure, maybe Jentel didn't look like he was really enjoying himeself... but he didn't seem to mind either. Maybe everything she thought she had known about him was wrong. Maybe when she thought he'd been enjoying himself with her she had been wrong and maybe they weren't quite as close of friends as she had thought. Truthfully, at this point Daenerys was regretting showing up at the ball at all. Something she'd already known would be difficult for her had just gotten significantly harder. A part of her felt like turning away and walking out, but she couldn't and she wouldn't. Be it the fact that her muscles felt locked in place, or the fact that she was much too polite to do such a thing. She wouldn't walk away from this girl, as much of a stranger as she was, but she certainly wouldn't turn her back on Jentel, who would likely be returning any minute now.

She made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Ridley's plan didn't go quite the way she had intended. Adam had managed to catch onto her approach and rather than poking him in the center of the back like she'd meant to, her finger landed in the center of his forehead. She couldn't even be disappointed at the way it turned out, as this was almost as good as if she would have surprised him. However, she did feign a slight pout as her golden gaze drifted down to meet his. "Dang, you're getting good! That, or I'm getting soft. I'm gonna have to step up my game!" She teased, smirking at him one more as he straightened up nd turned to face her. His reaction once he finally laid his eyes on her was even better than expected. She wasn't usually one to dress up. She'd always preferred pants over skirts and tended to go for simply letting her long, dark strands fall down her back rather than taking the extra time to style them. There were always to many adventures to be had and battles to be won. Girly wasn't the first word someone would use to describe the fiery girl, at least not in the way she dressed. She held a natural beauty, one that was only being amplified now in the shimmering dress, truly a sight to behold be rather the golden lights of the room. She also wasn't one to try and impress. More often than not she didn't care what others thought about her and she certainly didn't think twice about whether they liked her or not. It was different with Adam. All of this effort had gone into impressing him, on getting him to notice her. The stuttered response and the nonchalant cough that followed were more than enough to let her know she had succeeded. The thought brought a wide smile to her face and a warm feeling to her stomach.
Her heart gave a strange little flutter in her chest as she felt his hand slip into hers. It was a feeling she had felt with him a few times now, one that always took her by surprise and one she always pushed away before her thoughts could linger on it. Tonight was no different. She worked to push the thoughts away, but the persisted in the back of her mind. Her thoughts kept coming back to just how warm his fingers were against hers... just how much she liked the feeling of their intertwined fingers. She could feel her face warm at the thoughts, a soft blush slowly creeping up her neck and into her cheeks. She chose that moment to amuse him with the twirl, performing it in the most graceful and girly fashion that she could and hoping that it just might distract him from her slightly reddened cheeks. The golden shimmer of her dress catched the light of the chandeliers, reflecting them in the most stunning way. It was like a moment right out of the fairytales she used to read Ayven. Something she never thought she would be dreaming if herself, let alone a part of her actual reality... and yet, here she was. By the time she was facing him again and their hands had fallen back to their sides, the color had mostly cooled and as he teased her she easily fell back into their playful banter. It was a bit if relief as it distracted her from the more confusing feeling consuming her mind. "Too tall? Or too dolled up?" The retort was spoken in a teasing manner, followed by a soft laugh and a playful wink.
Of course their playful jokes and banter would not end there. He would accept her compliment in a formal accent that was so unlike him, followed by a bow. Ridley had to bite on her lower lip to hold in the burst of laughter that was threatening to escape. Managing to maintain her composure, she followed along. Mimicking the mutations she had only seen in movies, she grabbed the edges of her skirt, flaring them out, tucked one ankle behind the other and tucked down into a curtsey. It was such an unfamiliar motion and something that was completely unremitting of the normally fierce girl. It seemed she was going through a lot of unusual motions tonight, but this night was by no means a normal one. Far from it. "Well, Mr. Argent, I'd say it's quite safe to say all your hard work paid off." She added to the curtsey, mimicking his formal accent. Despite the playfulness of it all, the comment was sincere. Of course there was nothing that bothered her about his usual appearance, but there was something about the sleek and casual look that only added to the strange sensation in her stomach, not that she was about to admit that out loud. At his compliment, her cheeks took on a slight pink color, so faint it would be hard to pick out under the soft lighting of the room. "As I thank you, my good gentleman."
Pushing all strange thoughts and feelings asside, she let out a soft laugh at the little scene they'd just played out. Both of them falling back to their more casual shelves, she took the seat that he offered her. "Only if there's pineapple." She answered his question with further teasing, a mischievous smirk playing out on her lips. She knew just how much Adam hated the fruit and since it was one if her favorites, it was something she would never stop tormenting him with. Just like that day back at the beach when she'd shoved her pineapple sorbet right in his nose. Reminiscing in the memory, a wide grin spread on her lips. Offering no explanation to the action, she followed Adam's wave across the room until her amber orbs landed on Cecil who was surely waiting for Azura. He was much too far away for her to speak to, so instead she offered him two thumbs up, while playfully wriggling her eyebrows at him, for she knew just how lovely Azura was looking and the splendid sight he had in store for him. Surely the teasing would come layer, but she would let him greet his fate first.

I know nothing because I know too much... ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Lost in his thoughts and feeling utterly out of place in such a social event, Asger watched as other students entered the fray. Most of them looked to being enjoying themselves, one team in particular had decided to come all together. There were others that likely had feelings similar to his as the took the path of least resistance straight to their separate corners. A particular feline faunus looked quite the opposite of pleased as she slapped the drink that was offered to her right out of the waiter's hands. There was the shattering of glass and the splattering if sticky soda as the staff hurried to clean it up before someone could get injured whether by slipping or cutting themselves on the shards. Asger blinked in surprise, fueling his wings a bit tighter to himself and made a metal not to stay off of her s**t list. She didn't exactly seem like the type of person someone would want to mess with. She certainly had no reign on her temper, which could be dangerous even in the most trivial of situations. The falcon couldn't help but be curious about her friend choices, a girl in a wheelchair and a giant robot that pushed her. The technology looked quite exquisite, something nearly to par of the mechanical wonders of Atlas before the great kingdom had fallen. His eyes lingered on the group longer than what could have been considered polite. Long enough to see the white haired male approach and then walk away again, but as intellectual as he was, he couldn't help but marvel at the incredible sight that was the robot.
He was was distracted, so he wouldn't have seen Maru coming to begin with, but he surely wouldn't have recognized him even if he had. Sure, the pink hair and feminine features were all the same, but the dolled up appearance of perfectly applied makeup, beautifully styled hair, and the well-fitting dress was enough to throw him off. Surely anyone who didn't know Maru was a boy would have thought exactly the opposite. Heads followed him as he walked across the dancefloor and even Asger found himself staring for a moment. It wasn't until he spoke that he realized it was his teammate, recognizing that unique accent of his. Blinking in surprise, he cast his sapphire gaze to the side, running a hand through his red locks before realizing he'd surely messed up any style he'd managed achieve before he'd come. Sighing softly at his own mishap, he returned his gaze to Maru, offering up what he hoped what a friendly smile. He was still a bit surprised at his own confusion and couldn6quite come up with the words to say. Lucky for him his pink-haired teammate spoke first. "Hello Maru. You look nice tonight." The compliment was sincere, even if Maru's choice of attire was a bit confusing. A sincere and appreciative smile lifted his lips when he asked about his sister. It really did mean a lot to know he cared enough to ask. "She's doing better. She still has holes in her memory, but she's gained bits and pieces of it back." Which meant he was still waiting in telling her some of the more important bits of why he had been missing for the past year, but in his eyes none of that was nearly as important as her recovery and he didn't want to set her back. Plus, he wasn't really sure if he was ready to face that yet or not. He still hadn't ever spoken of the experience out loud.
Shortly after they were joined by Auburn who made no hesitation in plopping herself into a seat at the table. Honestly, it was a bit if a relief to know there was someone here feeling just as uncomfortable as he was. "I'm afraid I can't give you an answer to either of those questions." After all, he had never had to wear heels before and while the invitations had informed that they were all required to attend, it didn't specify how long they were expected to stay. "I would imagine as long as you make an appearance and stay a while it should be alright." He hadn't initially intended on staying the entire length of the party. He would have much rather been in a nice quintet place, reading and studying... but who knew where the night would take them. "I don't suppose there's anything specific either of you want to do?" He questioned, looking to both Auburn and Maru before someone else caught his attention in the background. No other than Danae and Narx. He smiled, feeling truly happy at how cheerful they both looked. Dressed up in their formal as attire, they really did make a splendid couple. He waved at them and offered a smile across the room before turning his gaze back to his team.
