He looked up and smiled sheepishly. "Yeah a little but it makes sense to do. I can't rely on you if I don't know what you can fix."
He rested as he watched her use her magic. A arge orb of water devoid of the laws of gravity mo ef between her hands and pfessed against his cuts. They felt warm as they drank up thr magic and were left more like angry blotches on his arm. She moved down and even the slightly deeper wounds were healed.
Pausing, he wiped at the wet blood from his cuts to see they were better off now and then leaned back. "Ready when you are." He said, watching and waiting.

Gev’s deeper arm wounds would probably sting for a while, but they at least seemed fully closed… “Yeah, I’ll bet,” she remarked wryly as she formed a new water sphere, which she then rather unceremoniously shoved onto the wounded thigh, letting it spread on, around, and in the gash. A wisp of blood drifted up through the water, and several ethereal impressions of fish nipped at the drift, and the wound. Gev could definitely feel that, and it didn’t feel great, but the warmth of the water spread through, and did seem to be helping with the gash. Hypatia leaned in close, watching closely. “Hmm, looks like it’s working…slowly,” she mused. “I really need a way to keep these things around longer.” By the time the sphere dissipated (with a soft plop again), the stab wound was looking considerably smaller. It was still there, though, and weeping blood.

He watched with interest as the water sank into his stab wound, pulling up blood that unknown fish ate upon. The process was warm and stung like pouring peroxide up in it, but he made no noise. Pain was familiar. It hurt less to heal then to stab himself.
Once done, he pulled open the hole in his pants a bit more to inspect the cut. "Hmmm. Not great for being stabbed but it at least would minimize the bleeding a little." He was still bleeding but he wasn't unable to walk or woukd pass out any moment. It was minimal.
He looked up at her. "Now you know your limits. You can make a judgement call if you can patch someone up or need to take them to the hospital. Maybe when you get stronger you can keep someone from bleeding out."
"Can you toss that healing orb at someone or do you need to focus and be up close?" If she could heal while running that could be useful as well.

Hypatia nodded. It was smart—if a bit nuts—to test the healing like that. “Knowing limits certainly helps. Though, I might be able to make it stop bleeding with another orb. It just doesn’t last long enough to heal completely,” she observed. “Nor does it, you know, seem to do what a doctor would do: Close the wound, and let the body sort it out.” “Unfortunately, the orbs don’t hold together if I’m not touching it. I can throw it, but as soon as it hits something, it splashes and is gone. I’ve used that a couple times as a distraction, but that’s definitely a waste.”

"A good last ditch effort to throw on someone's face but not enough to render them impared for a while. Good to know. You are definitely a support. If anything, your healing might just keep getting stronger. If a senshi was smart, they'd take you and build up a support team to keep them going. You should check to see of there are any other support senshi around and learn from them." He advised.
He stood up and frowned at his leg. He'd stitch and bandage it at home. "Well now you have a documented foundation of where your healing starts and ends. Keep at it." Her magic was used up so she was otherwise useless to him for tonight.
"I think that's enough for a patrol." He said.

“Hmm…yeah, finding another ‘support senshi’ would make sense. I’m sure there’s one or two out there.” Hypatia nodded. There was wisdom in that suggestion. She watched him stand, wince, and announce the sufficience of this patrol. Her gaze drifted back to the youma still poking around. It hadn’t found anything still. She frowned at it ever so slightly, but decided to let it go. Her attention returned to Gev, and she nodded. “Sure, alright,” she agreed. “But first, I can still make another of my Reef Drops—I’ve only made two tonight. Let’s see if a second one on the same spot helps.” She put her hands together in the same motion she’d done twice before to create one, but kept them together, as if waiting to make sure he wouldn’t just jump off into the night. Well, not “as if,” that was exactly what she was doing.

He stared down at her. "Only if you want. I stabbed myself. I can be responsible for that action. Cuts like this don't bother me so much anymore."
He paused. "We just did this to test your abilites. Only do it if you want to. Not because you feel you have to. It's my fault for stabbing myself too deep."
He waited for her to make that decision.

Hypatia nodded with a small, wry grin on her face. “Yes, it was your own dumb fault for stabbing yourself…but the reason for it makes sense to me, and I haven’t tested what happens with a second one on the same spot yet, so…you’re lucky.” Her grin got just a bit bigger before she added, “This time.” With that, she separated her hands slowly, causing the large water drop to reappear, and she quickly brought it over to the still-bleeding wound. “Now hold still, I’m gonna leave it on here until it’s gone.”

He turner his hand to place a palm on her head and riffle her hair. "Don't get smart." He said, seeing that cocky grin.
Crossing his arms, he looked away. "Go ahead. Do whatever." He remained standing as she worked and as she healed his leg would twitch from the aggravation from the healing.

"And you," she responded, still smirking a bit, "don't get any funny ideas." The pressed the glowing water onto the wound again, letting it glob around the leg with a small plop. As before, it created a small stinging sensation as small, ethereal fish nipped at the wound--which resumed closing. "Hmm, looks like it's working," she said, watching it carefully. It wasn't too long before that dissipated as well. The stab wound ended up being more like a minor cut. Much more manageable, she figured. "Okay. That's about all I can manage. But hey, good to know it's just 'keep holding it' instead of some kind of weird hard limit." She stood all the way up, and nodded at Gev.

The comment had his one eye going wide and as she went to work, he was left frozen in place, arms firmly crossed across his chest and very, very red in the face.
He said nothing to her, did not look at her, and did not try to be now VERY aware a woman was knelt by his thigh.

Once she was standing again, Hypatia couldn't help but giggle lightly at him as she observed his expression. "Ah, so you aren't just some completely dour, angry, guy, huh?" She patted him on the shoulder.

"I'm not angry." He said, his voice a bit more high pitched then he would have liked.
He brushed off her pat. "Thanks for healing it." He said quickly to get anywhere away from this topic.

They were finding themselves in territory Hypatia actually didn't feel lost in, all of a sudden, and her grin widened. "Oh, you're very welcome," she told him. "It was very informative, in a couple of ways."

Whatever that meant, he only took it at face value.
Stepping away from her, he adjusted his jacket and was glad that overall, the cut on his leg felt good. "That's good then." He said, hoping the few steps of distance and not directly looking at her would work the embarrassment away.
"I don't see what else we can do tonight anyways. So we can end the patrol."
