All hail caustic! All hail caustic! She will lead us into a new age of godlessness! It is uncertain how it will be different from this one, but it will be far better.
The Church of Bones looks awesome! I don't understand why anyone wouldn't want to visit it.

My former babysitter used to take everyone she was taking care of to some Methodist Sunday School. Which was very ignorant, considering that most of the people she took care of were Buddhists, Muslims, or followed a different branch of Christianity.

Dathu should watch the movie Saw :0
@Blasphemize- How old were the kids? Kids usually just ignore everything anyways, if they're little I mean. Whenever I was in church there'd always be kids trying to like get down on the floor and crawl under the pews, color on the hymnal, or just beat up on their sibling or something. xD

c a u s t i c Dathu should watch the movie Saw :0 I saw it. xd Okay, dumb pun. Anyway, yeah, scary movies don't bother me. As far as horrors go: the gorier the better. But I draw a fine line between reality and fantasy. Even when I worked in the animal hospital, I had weak stomache for blood and organs, hense I quit. On film, anything goes. In reality, I can't handle very much. redface

Plus, my brother would do his best to make me laugh.

Though, some of the kids she took care of were around the ages of 14. I think one of the kids was actually 16. sweatdrop

I had to go to Sunday school every Sunday at a Catholic church for two years a couple years ago. It was torture.
Now that I live with my parents, we almost never go. I'd say we go once every two months. Yes, they claim to be Catholics but know very little about the religion itself. They're horrible, hypocritical people.

I find going to any form of religious service painstakingly hard to do--any time I hear the word "god," I feel the anger pumping through my veins. I can't stand to be around people who strongly believe in something that isn't there (aka hallucinating people..it's what they really are) and they have such a different outlook on life than I do. They are scared of their god, while I live happily, without those fears. I also hate being forced/pressured to pray like when they do (even if it's just before a meal) because I'm so opposed to the idea of a god--it's not worth the torture. Plus, it's a complete waste of time. I could be doing other productive things with my life instead of listening to some guy tell me obvious lies or how to live my life. My morals are strong enough without him. I am a good person because that's how I want to be, not because I am afraid of some god or because my religion tells me to be that way. Plus, hearing such brainwashing about god is not good for the atheist's mind-- it's the same type of logic as if you hear "you're ugly" said to your face over and over again, you begin to believe it, even if you know it's not true. Therefore, going to church/synagogue is, in my opinion, a bad idea for any atheist.

nope, not gonna do it, wouldnt be prudent and you cant make me! ha!
actually, i would love to go to a church if i could find something right. i mean, the word CHURCH isnt inherently christian. it is a place of worship. what if there was a church of atheists, who worship the honest plain word of truth... and physics is the holy book explaining the truth! instead of the ten commandments... well, yeah, i been thinkin bout this for a long, long time. i've even written church guidelines n a creed n everything.
as a matter of fact, the way to START a church - an official church that is not considered a sect - is thru... get this - the INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE! yup, thats the beginning. just gotta convince the suits.
WHY do i wanna bother? the commeraderie of a church is very powerful. i miss it a lot. but whenever i go now, its really embarassing cuz i just can't manage to keep my EYEBALLS from rolling so far back my head hits the back of the pew. more than that, if atheism can ever overcome religion of a god, well, we gotta UNITE, BELIEVE, and PREACH the word!
there's my schpiel, or part of it anyway. but hey, you asked for it!

To be honest, even if my family did go I wouldn't be arsed to get out of bed on a sunday morning.
I've never ever been to worship at a church on a sunday morning, or gone to sunday school.
I used to have to go every friday with school and hated it.
@ Dathu- yes, churches are just the most beautiful buildings, I have to agree there mrgreen . Round here where I live, there are loads of beautiful old ones, and some ruined ones even. There's a church in the nearest big(ish) town to here which has my school carol service in it every year, and it has about 20 family coats of arms on the ceiling- very old building- and my family coat of arms is among them mrgreen

I go to a Catholic school. You think I'd be a Catholic by now but their faith never phased me...I'm still an Atheist at heart even if I was baptized and confirmed catholic.
I just get no value out of church. You sit, you stand, you kneel, you sit, you stand, you kneel, you sit, you stand, you kneel....you go back to what ever you were doing before church. I also don't like most of the stuff written in the bible...its....not a nice book in my opinion.
Anyhoo, so lucky my family isn't religious and go to church on Sundays and such. I feel bad for this one friend of my sister's. Her mom is REALLY christian and makes the family go every Thursday, Friday, Sunday and I think Tuesday. Her mom hates me though.
Ok I guess I should stop here because I'm starting to go on one of my rants again. sweatdrop
