Despite all of her nervousness and prior anxiety, Cecil had turned into the perfect evening. Well, part of the credit had to go to Ridley helping her dress for the occasion and doing her hair. The pair spent the rest of the evening in the gazebo until it was time to return to the dorm room. Azura spent much of the last two weeks glowing. One evening when the two girls were alone she gushed to Ridley all about the gazebo. Secret smiles and knowing looks were shared all around as classes resumed and they all returned to their studies.
Azura heard Adam's alarm go off, followed by Adam falling on the floor judging by the thud, and finally, she assumed, dropping the phone on his face. The early morning racked struck her as odd, not from Adam's clumsiness, but that she was usually the first one to wake in the morning. She didn't open her eyes though, not wanting to ruin whatever it was that Adam was up too. Part of her hoped it was surprising breakfast for the team, but somehow she doubted it. Finally, when Adam closed the door behind him, Azura rolled out of bed and turned her alarm off before it ever went off. There really was no point in attempting to fall back asleep. Cecil wasn't too far behind her, though they got ready in silence lest they disturb their golden leader. 'Breakfast?' Azura mouthed and with a nod from Cecil they stealthily exited the room leaving Ridley to take all of her anger out on her poor alarm clock rather than one of them.
Holding hands was something Azura was still getting used to. When they were alone she quite enjoyed it, though she became self-conscious around the other students. Despite that, the pair walked into the arena, dressed in battle gear, while holding hands. An all too familiar voice shouted overhead. She turned her head slightly to see Danae and Narx and issued a soft groan. "Not them again." She whispered to Cecil. The last class they had had with team DVNT had hardly been pleasant. "At least I don't see Tessa" She added after scanning the room. Azura really wasn't happy about the fight, especially with it becoming common knowledge around the school that she would attempt to force anyone who could best her into marriage. Well, any male. Spotting Ridley and Adam speaking to a butterfly faunus, Azura nodded her head in their direction and started walking. "So what kind of grimm do you think we will be fighting?" She asked, observing the trap covered crates. She could think of no other reason for their presence and the request to come armed. Though it seemed to her that belonged more with grimm studies, so she was interested to see how the professor was going to use it in survival. Though Azura did stop short of their teammates when she realized the girl was knocking on the growling create and started reaching for Crimson Regret.
"Get up" Tessa mumbled as she stepped over Narx and dropped something wrapped in plastic atop his head. The giant faunus looked tired, understandable with two very rushed trips from the school to her home and back, pile that on top of her daily training regimen and making up for lost classwork, and it was likely she only got around three or four hours of sleep a night. The rhino girl lumbered past her former team, barely paying them much attention besides the old captain, while munching on one of at least a dozen wrapped buns that, judging by the condensation on the inside of the plastic, were probably still warm. Tessa made her way over to one of the people she recognized as part of her team, she honestly hadn't memorized much beyond faces, and dropped to her rear before setting the armful of buns at her side and extending one of the nearly softball sized buns out to the blue haired girl with the loud clothing. "Want?" she mumbled sleepily past her mouthful of food " S' from home, sausage and egg raised by us. Good protein and calories for survival, get energy up an'...an'..." She opened her mouth wide in a yawn, small tears forming at the corners of her eyes forcing her to rub them away. With an audible "Haum!" the giant girl popped the remainder of her bun into her mouth and removed one of the ammo belts from around her waist and began checking over the ammunition. The grenade shells were rolled to and fro between her fingers as she gave them each a quick once over, rubbing her thumb over the primer to ensure they were flush with the casing, and eventually replacing them into the belt once she was satisfied they were ready.

Its been a couple of weeks sense the ball ended. Many things happened with Richard sense that night. One he made a bit more friends for one thing. People from another team, not from his own for once. They were an interesting bunch of girls but Richard didn't mind the company on occasion. As for another event, his own team had a little bit of a change. Tessa, the massive faunus had chose to leave the team without really informing anyone. It was quite the shock as her stuff was gone in less then a day. The funny thing was that she was transferred to the team of ladies he had been getting to know more of lately. So he was still expecting to see her, which might be a bit awkward. Though she made her choice, so she was going to have to deal with the consequences of her actions. With her departure meant that his team was getting a new member. Switching from team DVNT to SNRS...deviant to sinners.... The name itself didn't honestly do them justice. Made him feel like he was being pinned as a bad person. It however gave him a bit of motivation to prove that title wrong. The new member was supposed to be here today in class, giving them a first time meeting.
Like usual Richard was up bright an early. Earlier this morning he had gotten up to go do his workout routine for this day in particular. Mainly it was cardio he had to take care of. Not that he was really slacking in the department. Oh heavens no he was quite on top of it. Though it was apart of his weekly habits for sure. Even today he ran with his armor and weapons at had to give himself a bit more used to their weight and strain on his body. So upon coming into class his face was drenched in a bit of sweat. Not that it was a bother to him but to others they might question it. By the time he had jogged into the arena, Danae and Narx were already present. Of course there were other students ready as well. Instantly he recognized the blue hair of a certain girl from the ball. It was kinda nice to see that Sassellia was in the class as well. While it would of been nice to chat, he instead went over to his own team as that was the place he needed to be at the moment.
Of course on his approach to the crowd near the cages, Richard would be greeted by a shout from Narx. Already he was wanting food. Did the guy ever eat breakfast? While it was something to think about, he clearly didn't know. As sense Richard would leave the dorm every morning early, he had no idea of his own teammates morning rituals. Upon getting next to his comrade, the blue haired boy reached into his back pouch. "Here you go. Only one I got so enjoy." He would say before pulling out a wrapped bar. It was a high protein energy bar of sorts. Would definitely be useful for a snack of sorts and he was planning to save it for himself later. Though right now he was pretty set. Tossing the energy bar to Narx he would look at the roaring cages next. While he couldn't see what was in them, the anticipation was rising. His blood was already pumping from the run, and now he had the thought of real combat to look forward too. Digging his lance into the ground below he grinned with excitement. "Class is going to be great today." He commented with eagerness in his voice that matched the determined look toward the cages.

Cecil spent more time with Azura after the ball, usually either her or hanging out with his teammates, as he has finally grown comfortable with the Quadruo that have now become his friends, with Azura now becoming his girlfriend. He had become a bit more open and even now, they had grown more brave to walk around school holding their hands together. When the idea of breakfast was pitched, Cecil took it to leave the room in the morning with her so they could get something to eat. That was when the mass text hit and they made their way to class with their equipment in tow. As they entered he could hear Azura's worry and looked to see what was left of Team DVNT before he tightened his grip with her hand and whispered, "Don't worry.... not even they can ruin what we've built together." He told her to help calm her down as they walked to join with their allies who were talking about a butterfly faunus.
Cecil chuckled a bit as the idea did tickle his funny nerve before he heard Azura's next question before he spoke. "Probably a Beowolf or an Ursa.... I doubt we'll ever fight a Nevermore." He told her before his eyes became focused as he could hear a familiar voice, slowly turning his head to look behind him to stare at the woman known as Tessa who was talking with her friends and giving them food. It was one thing to hang out with friends, yet it was another to walk in with food from another home and just eating. However, it was just as everything related to his promise just hit him in the head as he soon looked to Azura and leaned down to whisper. "I'll have to hold up my promise after class." He whispered to her and motioned his head back to gesture to Tessa. "If I don't she'll probably throw a bigger fit." He continued to whisper to Azura.

Koryn was approached by a man, who introduced himself as Adam. She did a twirl and smiled towards him, "Pleasure to meet you - I'm Koryn!" she said, before she noticed the deep blue hair of her team leader approaching them. Koryn's scroll had made that buzzing noise earlier, and she attempted to read it but all she could make out were a few words that, strung together, made no sense at all. She became excited at the sight of Sasselia, yet wondered where her other teammates were, maybe they were just getting some of this 'breakfast' thing that they all seemed to enjoy so much. Koryn looked towards Adam and then back at Sasselia, she was proud at herself for not pouncing on the poor boy as she would have done weeks ago, she was learning how not to be around humans. "This is Sasselia, she's my friend!" she said, frowning a little as she tilted her head, a little confused. "You aren't interrupting anything, we have only just began our wonderful conversation!" she said, twirling again as her wings fluttered quickly, indicating she was very happy.
"Where is my cute Eira? I hope she won't be long!" she said, looking at the crate beside her that she had been banging. The noises of some foul beast could be heard, but it had gone quiet again. "Oh Sasselia, look what happens when I knock on this!" she said, standing right beside the 'don't touch sign' as she knocked on it, a huge crash could be heard at the center of where she had knocked, making Koryn excited. "I think it wants out to meet us all!! This is so exciting right?!" she said, louder than her regular voice as she became excited.
More people began to arrive, Koryn could sense all their footsteps as they walked around, meeting their teams. Then she saw Tessa, one of their newer teammates, an extremely large rhino faunus who Koryn was yet to get to know. Anyone made Koryn excited however, and she waved at her "Hi Tessa! Isn't it a wonderful morning? I've never done a class with humans before, I'm quite ecstatic about it!!" she said, looking at the food she offered, she attempted to not look too put off. "Thanks, but I don't eat food! Hope you all enjoy though!" she said, once again knocking on the crate, "Come out, come out whatever you are.. oh wait you can't!" she said, laughing as she flew to another part of the crate and examined it. "Sasselia! What should we call our friend in here?!" she yelled, looking deep in thought as she tried to think of a name.

§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§ SasseliaArgenia TEAM: STWR SEMBLANCE:not activated ------------ Oh thank god for that good news. An early morning start of walking into someone else's conversation would have left a long trail of guilt for the rest of the day. The more important factor was that Koryn was learning how to socialize at a quick pace, which brought a feeling of pride in the blue womans' chest. Wonderful she was keeping a proper amount of personal space this time! Sassy did not expect the happy introduction, bowing her head politely in greeting towards Adam and Ridley. "Nice to m-meet you both~. " The residing sound on the whereabouts of Eira was next one her mind. Where was Tessa as well? Hopefully she did not lose her way. On the other hand Tessa was said to have been from another team, so that idea was way unlikely. Same case for Eira. Both would surely be there soon enough. Koryns' lovely voice drifted her from her thoughts, having wondered what the butterfly was talking about at first. "Ah... Koryn that may not be wise to-" She was interrupted by the sound reverating from under the mystery containment, having to plug her ears with disdain. Owww.... Not a good sound to be hearing this early in the day. What on earth was in that thing!? The fact the faunus was exclaiming such remarks, the team leader could not help herself from replying to that comment with a soft, chiding explanation of her own. "Well... The creature may want to come out to see us, but that is only to harm us Koryn. Such angry voicing from that mystery creature does not sound like the good sign you wish it to be. We may want to be nice and leave the mystery.... A mystery, just so you do not get into trouble for not heading the sign. It says "Do not touch, unless you wanna die." That is a warning. Let us leave it alone for the time being shall we my dear~? As our pretty female friend here has said, indeed you could lose a finger, and really I would not wish to see your pretty fingers hurt~." How nice it felt to at least have people to care about that were more than just family. Especially if she felt she was able to help them as much as they were helping her. Not that she would come right out to admit that, for the sake of being team leader. She was glad Koryn was a nice addition of joyness for the team. Speaking of team.....
Tessa was next to arrive among the other arrivals, in her hand what looked like warm bundles of delicious smelling food. The moment the aroma hit her nostrils, her eyes glazed over with relaxation and nostalgia. Such a heavenly fragrance~! At the corner of her eye she had noticed familiar teal hair making way over to another group. Richard! Without a wish for the new friend to see such an expression that was what snapped her back into attention, focusing on the pretty rhino faunus. Little was known about her, and from what her previous team was. She had no idea it was Richards she resided from. Even the events that made the faunus switch was a large cloud of mystery. One that she would never dare pry into unless it was necessary she was able to know. She had no idea of the things ever said or left unsaid about her, and judgment was not in her moral code to listen to it all. For now it was just taking it all one day at a time as usual, making sure the other three would know how glad she was to have them. She awaited till Tessa was comfortably sitting before speaking to her, able to see she looked half-asleep still. "Good morning Tessa I hope you had a nice sleep." Oh~!? A bun for her~? The offering was an appreciated one, and Sasselia sat herself down as well, joining her companion while keeping a watchful eye on Koryn with the cage. "Thank you so much~." Taking the bun graciously, she took a few delicate bites, and ate in silent contemplation and enjoyment. So delicious. Very fresh and the warmth among them gave sign she only just received them not to long ago. She was a sweetheart for sharing. Her dark orange gaze crept over to Koryn, who still seemed to be bugging whatever was being hidden. The butterfly was persistent wasn't she? Though she was making greetings to Tessa, it did not seem to stop her from wanting to prod about the crate. "Koryn please leave the crates alone so you don 't get in trouble!" Since it was their first day of class as a team, getting in trouble before the class would even start was ill advised. The only thing that was rather interesting was how Koryn wanted to name the mystery creature too. How the team beside them must be feeling watching this whole scene going on. She sadly did not know the names of the other team or who they were enough to know them very well. Who knows they probably were thinking the same thing but that was only a drifting idea. Sasselia did not wish to leave the other hanging on the question, also thinking for a few moments herself while taking a few more bites of her food. "How about.... Kiwi?" No point to ruin her fun too much.

XXXThe ball had been something far beyond Cali's wildest dreams, and it was all thanks to the precious spider who wove himself into her life. In only a short couple weeks it seemed that the boy went to the very ends of the earth to ensure her night was nothing short of perfect. It began with a most touching gift and proposal, a rose crafted from metal with bits of his aura rich spider silk woven around it. Many girls would've surely preferred a bouquet of the real deal to smell and cherish for a few short days before being tossed away, but not Cali. Everything in her life required a special touch, one that only Eli seemed to be able to deliver. It was the extra work and craftsmanship with the attention to detail that moved mountains for the girl. A rose of metal so finely crafted only to be adorned with his spider silk that glistened in the light. It was a gift that caused her to turn her back to all her frustration and worry that the boy had put her through. After all, could she ever truly stay mad at him? That little rose had become a most cherished gift that sits upon their dresser in a vase, only to ever be touched by gloved hands. Where a rose would last but a few days, she was certain to make this grafted metal last a lifetime.
It was a nonstop series of surprises coming from him at every turn. It began with a variety of dresses for her to try and fawn over. Days leading up to the dance she had put on her own personal fashion show for him, trying on each and every dress to find the one she liked the most... Honestly, it was an impossible task. They were all so stunning, she couldn't just pick one. Of course, she knew she wouldn't have to. Part of the reason there were so many was because of her semblance which would in time eat away at it all. An issue she expected to be far more troublesome at the ball than it actually was. Once again, that was all thanks to the efforts of Eli and his planning to make her night nothing short of amazing. Through some means of conniving or simply black magic, he'd managed to convince the staff to let him use a supply closet as her own personal dressing room only a few short moments from the ball itself. Each and every time her dress started to crumble, it was a quick run to this little pocket of heaven before it was right back to it all.
It was something she felt the need to share, unable to horde all of Eli's blessings for herself. It was dear Yenna who was struggling now more than Cali was, which was surprising to the team as a whole. The girl who was anxiety embodied managed to step out of her comfort zone for the sake of her rabbit teammate to cheer her up, which led to her sharing the bounty of dresses Eli had acquired for her. Cali had managed to pick out a dress that fit Yenna perfectly and managed to add a layer of maturity that complimented her natural adorableness. In turn, Yenna helped her dress into a more complicated dress that she picked out to try and match Eli. In the meanwhile, Eli and Nox seemed to talk about something behind closed doors... Something that Cali couldn't quite hear over her rabbit companion. One the two halves of the team reunited, the rest of the night flew by in a blur. Cali and Nox had taken turns in leading their promised dances, something that Cali was surely anxious for at first. Yet, by the end of it, she had the sweetest smile that showed she enjoyed it through and through. Then came the moment that truly sealed the night away as one of the greatest memories in their history books, the dance with her beloved. The two had often tried to dance together, but it often turned into fits of laughter from Eli's two left feet. It was something that she expected but was intending to enjoy all the same. So, one could only imagine the awe she experienced as Eli took the lead and showed her what was surely the best dance of her life. So many twist and turns, tosses and twirls mixed in with Eli's own charm that made it unique to solely them. Something that could never be recreated as he used his spider nature to pull off impossible feats that sent her heart soaring. As the night came to a close, the two continued to sway with one another and simply enjoy their presence. Of course, Eli being himself, he'd swoop her off her feet at a moments notice as the lovebirds retreated to the dorm they shared.
It was there they talked the night away and Eli shared the many secrets he had kept from her over the weeks. From how the dresses came to be and acquiring her dressing room only to lead up to where he learned to accomplish such a feat in dance. Apparently, that boy she had kicked had a unique semblance that allowed her to gain the memories of those he touched, a curse quite similar to her own. All the pieces began fitting together as his explanation went on, though she couldn't help but empathize with the faunus now... The two of them had curses that added such complexity to their lives, though now he felt her own. ... With all her heart, she hoped that what Eli said was true. That the presence of the white-haired huntress would be a blessing in his life, just as Eli was to hers. After all, that's exactly what he was. It was only because of him that she could move on from a terrible past that they shared with one another. With him, she could face each and every day while working to make new memories they would cherish. Memories that would outshine the darkness they left behind them. So that they may one day look back to smile at what they've managed to build and the moments they shared together. Tonight was one of those memories to be. An unforgettable sense of joy that brought them that much closer together that could light up the darkest of nights.
Cali's experience at the ball was certainly one that was life-changing. It was a mix of efforts that impacted her so meaningfully, the most important of which was everything that Eli had done for her. A boy who was always willing to move mountains for her managed to go above and beyond anything he's done in the past. A night that she enjoyed with all her heart, one that brought a smile from ear to ear. It was a night that she got to truly live like a normal girl, then again... Could she really have been so normal when she had the most amazing spiderman gracing her life? It wasn't just Eli's efforts that brought her out, though. It was a combined effort of her team which had brought them all so much closer together. It was Nox's unwavering support through it all and Yenna's personal struggle that coaxed Cali from the comfort of her shell. Her walls were certainly still high and she was still far too afraid to speak out of turn, but... This was the first time in her life that she was beginning to feel accepted, that she was actually bonding with anyone that wasn't a spider crawling on her windowsill.
All that being said, that didn't prepare her at all for the anxiety that was going to yet another class. Now that she wasn't in an autumn wonderland like setting with an array of dresses at her disposal, she was afraid to step foot near another student. This time for class, the two of them were actually apart of a team. It wouldn't just be them hiding in the back somewhere on their own where she was most comfortable. It wasn't like that was really an option this time though, either. The class had been survival. A class that according to Eli, they were required to show up in combat gear which meant they were going to fight each other. What was it though? Training dummies? Grimm? ... Each other? Cali's combat record didn't stretch too far, minus nearly kicking that poor faunus boy to death at the cafeteria. Though if that was any indication towards what she was capable of, she might've been something to fear in that tiny shell of hers. Once again, Eli had to pull out all the stops to get her to even step foot out of their dorm. Perhaps Nox or Yenna had a hand in the coaxing. Either way, it ended with the two of them walking down the hall with the two of them attached at the hip like always. Every few steps Cali would begin to slow, only to be tugged along by Eli who tried to comfort her. "N-no... It wasn't... I just..." The anxious girl's words would begin to trail off. Her mind was racing as her cheeks flushed with warmth as pale skin turned bright pink. Sandy hues would gaze up for a moment, exposing her own embarrassment as she murmured her next thought quietly. ".. They're going to stare at me... If I fight..." While she was anxious about running into any more students, she was more anxious about their gazes. Beneath a crumbling jacket and skirt provided by the school were the blue material of the zero suit. Rose-hued cheeks were hidden with a head tucked down, occasionally drifting to rest against Eli as they walked. "... Fighting in a skirt is bad enough... This is basically a giant pair of underwear..." It was a silly thought process, but Eli of all people was sure to understand her meaning. It really left nothing to the imagination, simply obscuring the most delicate parts with shades of blue.
Those same sandy hues would connect with those of electric blue again, the bright pink darkening to a deep scarlet as she felt his breath tickle her ear. "E-Eli! Sh...shut up!" Words of an act that almost seemed indecent with how rarely they could ever show affection beyond their flirty gestures and hugs between layers of clothing. Though her reaction betrayed how she truly felt. In fact, she had yearned for since they shared such a tender moment. The warmed of his soft though chapped lips were burned against hers, that moment engraved in her memory as one of bliss. So many times did they share a closeness with one another, each and every time she found herself time biting her lip either mentally or physically to shake the desire. It was something she wouldn't take for granted, though dearly hoped it wasn't a once and a lifetime opportunity... It was far too nice to experience once, nearly intoxicating. After finding once again the perfect way to cause a stir in the girl's mindset and leave her steaming, the boy would just as playfully pull away and keep them on their trail. Though he was surely joking, he may very well know the slightest increase of pep in her step as she tried to stay close to them... No longer was she slowing down every few steps. Something that could've been associated with her deep hope and desire that perhaps with another class, maybe they could share such a tender moment once more.
Her cheeks retained a deep scarlet tone as they neared the arena, the doors themselves clearly visible. Gloved fingers would lightly tap against the back of his hand, an anxious twitch she often expressed whenever they held one another. Countless thoughts were running through her mind ranging from what to expect from the class. If others would ignore her or be unable to take their eyes off her. She wondered how Nox and Yenna were doing. Thoughts and desires of another chance to kiss surely ricochet off her mental walls. Then of course, she wondered once again how she could get her darling Eli back for all the torment he was putting her through. His track record was much higher than her own, as he was not so easily embarrassed or surprised. Still, there were times when a minx like herself got the upper hand, though the timing had to be right. For now, he'd get the last laugh as their brown and blue orbs connected, unable to fight back a cutesy partial smile when seeing his own. "Breaks everything...? I suppose... I won't have to worry about ruining anything then. ... Right?" Certianly one of her biggest worry in any class was the idea of ruining something that wasn't hers. While she hated her own belongings crumbling to dust, it always felt worse doing it to another. Whether it be furniture or clothes, or something as simple as a pencil. Everything had a cost in the world and her mind was constantly racking up a mental count of value of everything she was eating away. ... Maybe once she was a huntress, she could do something to repay all of those costs. ... Perhaps that was a mindset she needed to have at Beacon, rather than worrying about what others thought of her. Just endure it, and try to return the favor later. ... Though, all of that was easier said than done.
Entering the doors of the arena, Cali's sandy orbs would dart back and forth between the noisy cages that students seemed to flock around. It was clear from their arrival that in terms of survival, they'd be facing whatever was contained within. That provided a sense of relief, knowing that she wouldn't have to fight against any other students. But... What exactly were they? Eli surely wasn't worried about whatever it was they were facing, a confidence she may have to rely on. Her brown orbs would glance up at him once again, smiling only partly before fading as she squeezed his hand tightly. She just wasn't sure how to feel about this. Curious orbs would begin darting back and forth between the students she saw and the ones who were arriving. "Do you think... the teacher is here..?"A curious tone asked, looking at a variety of faces that she did not recognize. They all looked so young, but so did Kail. Certain familiar faces stuck out more than others, such as the mighty white rhino woman that she clearly remembered trying to assault the frosty boy with a table. "S..some of them were in Professor Schuer's class... Weren't they? ... Wasn't she the one who..." Cali's words faded from curiosity to concern as her orbs fell upon Daene, remembering the clear image of an airborne avian who met an unfortunate fate. A limp body lying in a pool of blood within a class that was supposed to be simply testing a semblance. Her blood ran cold at the thought, leaving her to wonder a series of thoughts. Did she recover well? Was something like that going to happen in a clearly combat oriented class? Was there even a medic here just in case? In her uncertainty, she'd tuck her tiny frame closer towards Eli's and clench his hand tightly.

((READ OOC IN SPOILER)) Two weeks have passed since the ball and Adam was waking in his bed. He heard his scroll go off and reached for it on his stand. He lazily grabbed at it until he fell off the bed face first. "Ow." he murmured low into the floor. His phones proceeded to fall onto his head. Edge first. "Ow." he murmured again. He pawed until he grabbed it a checked out the message. He read it and groaned realizing it was time for classes again. He stood up and walked into the bathroom to get read for the day. After the general pampering, he shook out his dreads and headed out quietly. "Not wakin' up Ridley. And Azura and Cecil won't be far behind. Heh heh, plus, I'll be able to say I got there first and tease them about it." he grinned. He headed to the arena to see cages that were... breathing? THen he realzied something was in the cages... it's too early for him to be doing all this realizing and thinking, but it was school, so... y'know. He noticed a female who was a... fairy? She was floating about and whatnot. And honestly, with the the world they live in he wouldn't be surprised. He walked up to the teacher and introduced himself. "Sup,I'm Adam. Nice to meet you. What's your name?" he asked the very VERY colorful girl. Which now that he looks at her she's definitely a butterfly faunus. Adam was waiting for the butterfly faunus' respond and didn't sense Ridley at all. He flailed his arms in alert when she spoke. "Girl-!" he exclaimed. His heart jumpstarted a bit as he took a breath to calm down. "We need to put a bell on you!" he demanded rubbing his eyes under his glasses. He looked again to the butterfly. "I think my boss is right. You gone get hurt if you keep playin' with those things." he offered. "It's good to see you finally joined us in the land of the living, Ms. Thing." he chuckled. Teasing his leader is one of the things that make his morning great. He looked the blue haired woman and did a two finger salute. "Yo, Adam. Team DARK's handsome representative. Nice to meet'cha." he said. Adam noticed Narx walk in and decided to go say hi. He appraoched him with a slight smile and held out a fist for fistbump. Or 'dap' as many call it. "Yo, just wanna say thanks for the whole antidote thing. You ain't so bad." Adam spoke. He gave Narx his props. Did he rub ADam the wrong way at first? Yeah, but he was good with him now considering he kept Adam's health in mind. Looking over, Adam noticed Cecil and Azura and waved. He returned his attention to Narx and noticed a young lady who was an owl faunus. "Oh, my bad. I'm sorry if I interrupted something. Name's Adam. Nice to meet you he said holding his hand out to the Owl faunus.

XXXCurrently there were three concealed cages throughout the arena. They each vary in size, each being larger than the next. The creatures contained within were far from small, being larger than any the average human. It was within each cage that a specific sound was heard which hinted at just what sort of creature was contained within it. In the smallest of the cages that still topped even the tallest rhino student in class, a distinct buzzing could be heard from time to time. None of the students had been picking on this grimm in particular, so it was rather docile for being contained. However, it was the uncertainty of some of the students that caused it to stir from time to time. Within the largest of the cages, one could hear a set of hisses much like an echo. Unlike the other cages, the hisses seemed to play off one another as if there were two creatures contained within the cage. Occasionally, the cage would rattle and shift as something began stirring within it. Much like the smallest cage, though, it was rather docile given it was not being provoked like the other. Contained within these cages were very different creatures. A clamor of sounds made it seem like they were different species entirely, but they all had something in common.
Then there was the cage that was a perfect medium of size in comparison. Though surely quite large in comparison to any of the students, it needed not a larger cage. This was the unfortunate creature that had been falling victim to the disturbance of a butterfly faunus who couldn't quite asses the danger of the situation. From within the cage, each knock would cause a low growl to rumble from deep within. Whatever was inside was clearly a predator, one who's patience was growing thinner with every moment. At the sound of another knock, the creature within finally snapped. The sound of scraping metal would tear through the air violently as whatever was in tried attacking the inside of its cage. Within it, sparks surely flew, but the metal was designed to be just resilient enough to endure such blows. ... At least, for the moment. The strike was followed with a loud tumble as the creature within slammed itself against the cage. An impact that jostled the cage and nearly tipped it over! Impatient steps could be heard as the creature within began circling and pacing. While the grimm within couldn't understand the words being spoken, it came to a stop just as they began talking of names. Its growl grew deeper, before letting out a bellowing roar that matched that of the great cat's many faunus took their traits after. It was one of power that rumbled like thunder into the distance. Now, the real question was if the roar was towards all of Koryn's antics, or simply in agreement with the nickname, it was given: Kiwi.
Tessa sighed in annoyance as she stood up and tore open the wrapping of another bun with her teeth before taking another large bite. "Don't bother naming it" she said as she adjusted the bracer on her arm, currently her weapon in its dormant state "There's no point in getting attached when I'm going to kill it." With a huff the enormous faunus marched over to Koryn and lifted her by the back of her clothes and walked her over to where she'd left the pile of breakfast buns she'd brought. "Also don't stand too close to the monsters, my weapons have a big kill radius and I don't wanna get sent home because I fire off a shot and you get killed"
Chase had been watching the winged faunus, who looked like she may be part butterfly if he had to hazard a guess, continue being energetic and seemed to not understand the danger of riling up whatever beast was inside the cage. Which only seemed to grow more animated and animated the more she continued her knocking. Part of him wanted to see what happened if the beast got loose with her still banging on the cage, while the other other wanted to stop her. He was conflicted, given that he was prepared for battle and eager for it to begin in the first place. But in the end, his mind went with the neutral decision of seeing what would happen on its own. Either he would get the combat part of him desired, or he would not have to worry about it. It would work out for one half without having to bicker pointlessly in his mind with the other on what he wanted to do. His hand remained on his pistol regardless now, as he wanted to be ready if such a thing were to occur of it breaking out. 'I wonder how that butterfly has survived so long if it is so reckless.' He pondered in his mind. It did not escape his notice, though, that others had been arriving even as he paid particular attention to the butterfly direction. His hound was growing partially restless as to all the commotion. He could sense that whatever creature lay in the cage was getting particularly restless, and he wanted to deal with whatever danger there was now. It was in his training and breeding as a war hound, even if it wasn't exclusively as one under Chase's care. But, it would wait for its masters signal. Chase had trained it to only attack on specific signals, as well as a few other commands for varying circumstances. It would do no good to have the hound run off and attack at first sight when Chase was unready, or if Chase was not hunting said creature and preferred to avoid it.
His focus on watching the butterfly play with fire was interrupted as he heard someone call his name. He turned his head ever so slightly, not enough to show he was focusing on anyone in particular, to catch the sight of a bird faunus in his peripheral. She wasn't very short, perhaps only a little shorter than him, and and seemed to claim the team leader wanted to talk to him. 'Is she being truthful? What are her intentions? And if she the team leader or merely speaking for them...?' All these questions would spring to Chase's mind as he processed her words. What she had to gain from lying here he was unsure, not necessarily thinking students here would harm him but not discarding the possibility of it. What she could want could simply be what everyone wanted from him: revenge or money. One of the two was usually the reason, though there had been an exception recently. And the last he had no clear way to tell as of yet. She was alone for now as far as he could tell. His gaze would remain with keeping her in his peripheral as he went to a nearby cage and put his back to it, switching positions so he could have a better look at the feathered faunus without drawing too much attention. His hound followed beside him, laying down to rest as soon as he saw his master become relatively comfortable. He didn't keep his gaze directly on her, pretending to be looking around her more than anything, and currently ignoring any sounds that may be coming from the large cage behind him. He wanted to study her to see what she would do when no one would immediately come forward.
It was very quickly after he assumed this position that he noticed her joined by another person, a man with an eye patch that was a bit taller than her. 'What happened to his eye?' Chase wondered absently to himself. It could have been something temporary like an eye surgery or minor wound, or something far more long lasting. Which it was though he wouldn't know unless he asked about it, which was not something he was planning to do for now. They seemed to be conversing for a bit, with Chase unable to make out what was said, before rather suddenly he would yell out for food. His hound's ear pricked up immediately at the sudden disturbance, and chase held his hand out in a stop motion so he wouldn't get too riled up. He didn't want to draw attention to himself as of yet, but he was slightly annoyed at the person. 'Why didn't you eat before you got here...' He thought to himself in his mind. It was rude to yell out like that out of nowhere, and for his own fault of not being prepared. He would then, strangely enough, go over to the relative middle of the area and lay down on the ground. 'What would happen if one of these cages were to fall on him?' He wondered in his mind. Or if he was accidentally trampled when people began running from creatures attacking. He had no illusions that they wouldn't be fighting whatever was in these cages, he was just wondering when.
For some odd reason though, his cry for food seemed to go answered rather than having been mobbed as Chase has thought he would be. A very tall faunus with a horn seemed to drop food on him, as well as a newly arrived armored man who gave him more food. 'No don't feed the animal, hes only going to call for food later. You are only encouraging him.' He thought to himself slightly irritated. The armored man, which caught his interest for a moment, seemed to pause and bury his lance into the ground seeming a bit excited. 'I wonder if he'll be so excited once the blood begins to flow.' He thought to himself. He had seen enough for now though. Either the bird was part of his team and would introduce him to the rest, or there were plenty of others and cages to use to his advantage should she try anything. But, as he was about to go...he started to get a flood of thoughts. Thoughts that worried if she would harm him, what he should say or do, if he would be accepted. He hated the thoughts, they were thoughts of weakness...but they overrode his mind. 'I waited so long to respond, will she think its for what she asked, will she want me to speak...Is this a trap.' The nervous thoughts flooded his mind. He slowly, gingerly, moved off from the cage and began walking to the feathered faunus with eyes downcast to the ground. He only occasionally glanced up to make sure he was going the right way towards her as he walked, and would shoot back to the ground almost immediately. His hands were by his side, no longer resting on his gun, as his hound faithfully followed behind him. He would walk till he was a few feet away from her before stopping, eyes glancing up but not making eye contact with her as he acted rather meekly in posture and stance, just barely raising up one hand in a nervous wave to her. His vocal cords were out of comission, or at least that is what it felt like. He had opened his mouth beneath his mask, but no words came forth and soon gave up trying. He just hoped she would realize he was Chase, and wouldn't expect him to speak.

With her morning routine completed Eira turned her attention to what was next up on today's agenda. That was survival class. A message sent out to the students scrolls gave some details about the class. Primarily that the location for the class would be at the arena. Everyone was instructed to come prepared for a fight. So as she left the school cafeteria it was no surprise that she stood out against the majority of other students who were also making their way to their class after having their breakfast. The only people she saw that stood out more than her were those that don't rise all that early and were thus just now arriving. Those students were cutting a path in the opposite direction of the general flow of people in hopes to get inside and grab a quick bit before they had to continue their rush to where they were supposed to be. What made Eira stand out in this group of uniformed students was her lack of uniform. While everyone else wore the standard school uniform Eira was wearing her huntress outfit. The white and black outfit largely clung to her figure with few elements that hung loose and could potentially get hung up on things. The main things that did so were those that completed how she stood out. She wasn't just wearing her combat outfit but was also armed and equipped for battle. Belts of large ammo circled her waist and from her hip swung Gungnir, her weapon, which was currently in the form of a short sword soundly stowed in its sheath.
It wasn't a long walk to reach the arena. Eira still seemed to be the last to arrive from her team though. This was easy to determine since it was anything but a difficult task to pick out Koryn in here. Koryn was actually an even more energetic person than Eira was and the butterfly faunus was currently flying about a large crate of some kind covered by a white sheet. As she flitted from one spot to the next she appeared to be knocking her fist against the wood. Every time she did so the crate could be seen to visibly shake as whatever was inside became agitated and protested. Very close by the blue hair of Sesselia was easily picked out and Tessa, the other team to team transfer addition to the team. Tessa was almost as easy to zero in on as Koryn given how tall she was. Eira thought that she was on the tall side for a girl but Tessa seemed a giant in comparison. Along her teammates a couple other students that she wasn't familiar with stood by the crate. They appeared to have been talking when she came in however the boy with the dark skin and dreadlocks had just split off. He headed over to where one of the other teams was gathering as Eira walked up to her own team. The white haired girl stopped walking once she had stepped up beside Sassy. She frowned at the crate as it shuddered once more in response to Koryn's actions. 'That really seems ill-advised.' She thought as she sifted her weight away from the violent noises the crate's occupant was now making. She reached up and straightened her hair. Her fingers tucking a few strands that the black headband wasn't controlling behind her ear. The back was done up in a pair of braids. It seemed especially ill-advised when whatever was inside seemed to snap and attack the cage wall's in earnest. The whole thing tilted and nearly tipped over. Eira moved back a step as the grimm within started to pace and roar.
The gathering of girls Eira had joined had been engaged in watching Koryn's antics and how the box responded to them. Koryn seemed to be her usual carefree chipper self this morning like usual. By the looks of concern Sasselia and the other girl had it seemed they had probably been advising Koryn to stop provoking the box. While the Koryn was still unaware of her arrival Eira took the time to greet everyone else. ”Morning Sasselia, morning Tessa. “ She added a quick wave to the third girl who she hadn't met before now. ”Morning to you as well.” She added to it before she turned her attention to the crate which was growling yet again. She frowned at it and watched Koryn who seemed to be living on the edge right now despite the other girls warnings and the warning sign the Eira just now noticed hanging plain as day on the white sheet that covered the crate. That just left her wondering what that comment about kiwi she had heard as she walked up was all about. Having missed most of the context of the conversation she didn't know enough about what had been happening to connect the word to being a name for whatever was locked in the box. Though she was able to piece that together based on what Tessa stated before she snagged Koryn and set her down beside a pile of packaged breakfast food. Eira figured this was a good time to distract the butterfly. She, Koryn, would notice her at some point so Eira greeted her at that time. ”Morning, Koryn.”

___ With Cali and Yenna locked away inside the store room under the watchful guard of Eli and Nox the two guards shared a private moment of discussion. Most of the talking was done by Nox as she told Eli a bit about her past. The conversation lasted through out the time the other two girls on their team changed their clothes. There was a short wait after the conversation concluded before the two behind the door were ready to make their appearance. Cali came out like it was a fashion show in a complex looking dress. It was a work of art really. Yenna was behind her in a dress that was a perfect fit. Nox was a little shocked that Cali actually found something that fit Yenna's figure so well. The two girls had a similar build but they were still different enough that this was rather impressive. The dress looked mature yet cute so it was a good visual fit for Yenna as well. Nox gave the pair a thumbs up and a heartfelt compliment to express her approval.
___ From there Cali's openness continued onward. The normally reserved girl stayed out of her shell and brought up Nox's offer to dance with her. She got a warm smile from the snake girl and nod. Eli got a teased lightly though as Nox playfully tried to declare that she was now Cali's favorite. Even though they all were well aware that the best is always saved for last. The two headed for the dance floor. Cali was a very good dancer. She had a real skill for it but Nox was able to keep up. This was fun for her, her favorite hobby so she had learned over a good long while the steps that were needed. The two alternated leadership from dance to dance. In the end they had strung together four dances into one long and well performed dance that was a down right blast. During the second dance while Nox was in charge she had noticed Eli across the room with Yenna. It seemed he was passing the time dancing with her. Nox didn't see him again though until her and Cali went and hunted the other two down when they were finished.
___ The night was getting late by that point so Cali left with Eli to have their own dance. Nox found a table beside the dance floor and sat down. The chance to get off her feet and catch her breath was nice. Her red eyes followed the dancing couple as they cut their rug. Eli's comment about getting lessons was the real deal. Whomever had taught him knew their stuff. Nox could pick up on a single hint of the two left feet Cali had mentioned him having before. The two dance and Nox was actually tempted to clap a couple times at the bits of spidery flair Eli added. After the dance he had practiced for was over the two began to dance close. The embracing, calm dance of that swaying was probably most welcome to Cali by now as Nox imagined she was probably short on breath by now and tired from all that moving around. Before the night came to a full end Nox got up and declared to Yenna that she was going to return to the buffet tables and get herself a bit of a late night snack before the event ends. After that Nox wasn't seen again until the very end of the night (unless Yenna went with her, in which case they aren't seen).
___ Nox turned up when Eli spotted her near the exit of the venue as he was princess carrying Cali. The dark haired girl saw him headed back to the dorms with Cali and followed along. Once back in their room Eli and Cali settled onto their bed and started to talk. Nox slipped out and enjoyed a nice hot bath for a while. When she came back into the room she had changed out of her dress and into her pajamas. The dress she wore was on a hanger which she placed into the closet before she crawled onto her bed. Like normal she then took out her scroll and started to work on her daily journal entry. A few minutes later with her diary updated she turned the scroll's screen off and set it onto the side table. Cali and Eli were still up and chatting away. She gave the two of them a quick warning against staying up to late and then disappeared under the blankets. Judging by the movements of the lump she curled up under there and was quickly taken by the day's fatigue to the world of dreams.
___ The chiming of her scroll woke Nox up earlier than was normal for the snake girl. Normally Nox wasn't what one would call a morning person. She was much to fond of the warmth of her bed to be up and about swiftly and was in general usually a little on the slow side for waking up fully mentally. She had a good metabolism, there was no doubt about that, but it appeared it took it a good half hour every morning at least to get going. This morning she was forcing herself. Today they had survival class and the message bulletin sent out to those enrolled in the class had indicated that today's lesson would be combat orientated. So as a direct result Nox was up early and on her way to get some breakfast. She wanted to be sure she had plenty of time to eat to make sure she had plenty of energy for the day. She got dressed into her huntress attire and then left the room.
___ Nox got back some time later. She came in and was immediately greeted by Eli and Cali. Eli was engaged in his usual morning ritual, attempting to get Cali to leave the room and attend that day's class. She had warmed up to the team but the rest of the students not so much. Nox slipped past Eli and gave him a good morning in doing so. Her destination was the foot locker at the base of her bed. It was where she stored her weapon when it wasn't needed. Once she had it out she watched the couple's morning antics for a bit before finally offer Eli a hand in pushing Cali out into the hall so that they wouldn't be late. Once out into the hall Eli seems to be able to manage to handle matters from there. Cali was blushing though and kept stopping every few steps. But with Eli right there and Nox following behind the two of them she couldn't get away from class like that.
___ It was then that Cali brought up the outfit she was wearing. Cali was a little unique compared to most students in that she always is wearing her huntress attire. She wore it under her uniform, which was already looking a little thread worn. But her outfit was different from what most huntsmen and huntswomen wore in that she was very much correct in comparing it to her underwear. Even Nox understood that comparison having seen the saving grace of an outfit on occasion as the girls cloths crumbled. "I think it's best to not think about that, Cali" Nox commented back. If Cali looked back at her she would see that Nox was a little pink as well. As she watched Nox smoothed the skirt of the white dress she wore as her uniform beneath the black coat with red trim everyone was by now familiar with given their team leader wore it not only at times like this but she often wore it over the school's uniform too. Both garments were made of a composite fabric made of interwoven strands and layers of kevlar and twaron to create a resilient cloth for a fighter. Good as more bulky armor for taking a hit but it was still a skirt, and clearly Cali's comment of worry had for a moment spread her worry to others.
___ A short time later Eli finally said something to Cali that seemed to change her attitude a bit. She no longer stopped walking suddenly and required a pull or push to get her going again. That sped up the last half of their journey and before much longer they had arrived at the arena. Eli gave one last pull to bring Cali inside. Nox closely following behind them. Nox looked around at the boxes scattered around the arena with students assembling near them. Based on the noise it seemed that grimm had been brought here for some reason. Nox turned her head to look at at Eli as he made a comment about the teacher for this class being rumored to break things all the time and making a bet that this would prove to be a 'hoot'. Nox frowned slightly. 'Lets hope so. There are other rumors about this teacher too, more dangerous rumors. So I can only hope that she has taken some consideration to curve the danger factor compared to her earlier classes. The school won't last if this class yields results like that every time it is held.' She thought as she walked up next to the others. They had moved deeper into the arena now and she could really get a feel for the environment now. Nox crouched down next to Eli and stuck her tongue out a little while making a face like she had tasted something unpalatable. "This place has a poor dust richness. It's nearly barren in fact." She murmured in displeasure before she stood back up. Her hands reaching to the hem of her skirt once more so her fingers could check the small belt like bands that circled her mid thighs. Each held small pouches containing vials of dust for her to use and they all seemed to be present and ready.
The cause of Koryn messing around with the cage seemed to have caused more effect then just an angry mystery beast. It was also picking up attention from others. Before Sasselia was able to get up, Tessa beat her to the chase, bringing Koryn back over towards them. To her side Eira had just arrived, now confirming the whole STWR team punctual and present. "Good morning Eira~!" With a cheerful hello that was much better then a few weeks ago, Sasselia did her usual out of habit head nod. Chipper and friendly as ever, it seemed all four women were pumped up and rather curious on the events to come. From Tessas' words and their weapons with them, a possibly killing seemed to be a definite high in percentage. about 89% to be exact. Speaking of which....
Once Tessa had set the butterfly back down, it was when Sasselia had spoken then, after making sure the butterflys' wings were unharmed from the carrying. Hm.... All seemed alright. "That was quick thinking Tessa, and thank you. Let us make sure the next time we be more careful how we carry her though. She will need those wings for battle after all! Er... and for every other d-day as it seems she relies on them a lot mobility wise. I do agree though we should really say away from the cages, but for the future, I think adding that last little bit about your kill radius to her should have been worded.... Just a bit better then that~. No judgment of course, I just do not wish to see you sent home incase that sort of talk is heard by the wrong people. Especially a teacher. I think they would give you a hard time should they miss hear in that matter."
It was thankful now that Koryn was away from the cages that all four could better contribute to keeping the very carefree butterfly distracted enough. Eira was keeping the starting point to doing just that, which would for surely work considering the two got along fantastically. Of course Koryn had also asked for her not to long ago either.
She made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
By hisnreaction, Adam clearly hadn't sensed he coming. It wasn't uncommon for her to sneak up on him and give the poor guy a fright, but most the time those were her clear intentions. This time it had just been a happy accident. Letting out a small laugh she would be quick to shake her head in regards to his comment about a bell. "It wouldn't be nearly as fun that way." She responded playful, sending a teasing smirk his way. "Besides, consider it training exercises! I gotta keep you on your toes and make sure you're alert at all times. If I had been a bandit or something, I could have struck you down before you even realized I was behind you." Now, was that her true intentions behind going out of her way to sneak on him all the time? Probably not. She simply enjoyed his reactions. Just another little game in their constant back and forth banter. However, by the expression in her face she seemed nothing but serious and in all retrospect, it was an added bonus. After all, both her and Cecil had been badly injured in the bomb that had destroyed the gym. No one had seen that one coming. Everyone thought they were safe within the walls if Beacon, but that was clearly not the case. It was a point rhat had been proven time and time again since she got here. It didn't hurt to be in guard, prepared first the worst. Some people might see that as a pessimistic outlook on life, she simply saw it as pracricallity. Better to be realistic and accept things the way they were than to sugar coat it and be disappointed in the end. Ir in much more dire situations such as these, possibly injured.
The butterfly girl didn't seem to listen to her warning, but another member of the girl's team entered soon after. They introduced themselves as Koryn and Sasselia. She would watch the excitable winged faunus chat to her blue-haired leader for a moment, laughing softly to herself at her idea to name what was likely a grim. However, another voice would soon distract her. Turning around she would see Narx laying dramatically on the floor after his exclamation if being hungry. Rolling her eyes, she would wave at the two girls before following Adam over to Narx and his feathered companion. Their relationship had started off rocky, bug by the end if their last class they had at least seemed to gain a mutual respect first each other. Plus, he had helped heal Adam, so she couldn't hate him entirely even if she had wanted to. She honestly wasn't entirely sure where their relationship stood. Friends? Enemies? Frenemies? It was hard to say, but either way she couldn't pass up the opportunity to give him a hard time over skipping breakfast before a survival class. Granted, Ridley had skipped breakfast too, but that was a norm for the girl. She would prefer to sleep the extra fifteen minutes than to get ready in time to make it ti the cafeteria before class. As her whole team knew very well by this point, the girl was simply not a morning person. Odd, considering she was raised on a farm and had been forced to rise with the sun for years. Then again, maybe that's why she hated it so much now. Just as she was leaving she would hear the bellowing roar ofnthe caged Creature Koryn had been pestering. She would stop and turn around fir but a moment, hands shifting to the hills finger duel blades. It seemed for a moment the cage might topple right over, but in the end it was secure. Dropping her hands back to her sides, she would continue her pursuit.
As she walked she would notice Cecil and Azura standing off to the side, waving at the two lovebirds she would flash them a knowing smile before returning her attention to the task at hand. Standing next to Adam as they approached Narx and Danae, she would smirk down at the guy pretending to be dead upon the ground. "Fancy meeting you here. If I'd known you were so easily taken down I would have just made you feel intense hunger pains." Ridley would tease, golden eyes flashing mischievously. Teasing perhaps, but there was a bit of seriousness behind it. Hunger pains were something the girl knew well. After all, with a father who'd lost his mind to depression and alcohol, she had been forced to try and fend for her and her siblings from very young age. She did the best a twelve year old could do, but there still wasn't much to go around and more often than notnahe would go without so that her younger sister didn't have to. It was a sacrifice she had been more than willing to make. Her only regret was not being able to make the one sacrifice that truly mattered and saving her that dreadful night. For just a moment her expression would grow dark, golden hues shrouded by the ghosts of her pasts. Shaking her head to clear it before her mind could sink further into this dark pit, her smirk would hardly falter before she was back to normal. She would notice the owl girl as Adam address her. The same girl who had fallen and cracked her head open that day. She had a large scar across her face now, but she seemed to be doing much better now. "I'm Ridley," She would tune in after Adam, before smirking once more. "Your boy here looks like a handful." Her voice was light and teasing while gesturing down to Narx, as it so often was. However, whether either of them would take kindly to that was yet to be known.
