[Yahui] glanced back at Jing Lung as she settled the cubs together. Her declaration for them to stay by her was admirable... as well as expected. Attention swayed back to Shen as he spoke and then her eyes flashed to Xeviera once more. She was being foolish to openly defy Shen in public. That never worked out in their favor. Shen always had the upper hand. He always knew what to say in these cases. And Xeviera was right. He did speak awfully pretty. Red eyes glanced into the crowd, spotting a similar pelt some ways off and mostly hidden. Her eyes squinted briefly before she gave up and turned with a near silent huff. Shen was being admirable for the moment. He didn't need her whispering in his ear. She turned just in time to see little Jin Lung stumbling towards her and she stopped, letting him collide into her forepaws before he got too far from his mother. She lowered her muzzle and nuzzled him carefully. "Are you alright, little Tah?" she asked him in a whisper then lightly nudged him back towards his mother.

[Shen Lung] "You don't speak as well as me." He corrected her with an unsufferable smirk. It was a very small grain of salt to add to the open wound he'd already torn in the nan's soul, but he could hardly help himself. His cubs were learning to speak with silver tongues and it was...very difficult to let such clumsy language pass without comment.
The tah sighed and reached a paw up to brush a bit of hair away from his brow. "Young nan, I grow weary of repeating myself. If you wish to see me away- then remove me. The offer stands for you as it stands for all others. The only flame I have 'snuffed' was a traitor willing to see this tribe reduced to its belly once more, creeping through the embers to pluck out a pitty existence. If I'm in the wrong- the weaver will send someone strong enough to pull me out by the roots, but until that day comes I stand on my own four paws and lift this tribe's honor out of the embers on my own shoulders- a burden my little ones will one day take up no doubt."
Shen snorted. "Fine. Then follow in his pawprints and meet me outside of town to put action to your squacking. I grow weary of your noise. If you lack the fire- shut your trap and be on your way." He flicked his tail.
"As for the rest of us- let's not let a noisy little paroo ruin a blessed day. I present to you not your future emperors and empresses- but your future servants. Their horns will be your shields, their claws your swords, and their shoulders the foundation that we build ourselves up upon. This tribe will raise a palace of gold to pierce the heavens. We'll dress ourselves in the riches forged under our very paws, crafted by our artisans, and worn by all as testiment of our personal accomplishments. Not with the help of the weaver- not with the help of the magi- but the help of the nans and tahs willing and ready to sharpen their own claws and build up their own homeland."

[Adonis] Adonis remained still as their leader spoke to the young upstart, she was still young. A breath left the periwinkle eyed elder, making a glance over to Sir Warden, the elder released a breath. It was a fine example to what happened when one did not exercise control, his eyes then moved over to his sons-a fine example of what control looked like....
[Sir Warden]
Sir Warden pertained to not feel his uncle's eyes on him, though he felt them rest on him heavily. Making a swallow he felt it slowly drag slowly down his throat. No pressure, Sir Warden.
Feeling Amaterasu rest against his him, his thoughts where taken from the pressure of his uncle's eyes. His head dipped closer to her own.
"It's gonna be alright..." Sir Warden whisper very softly, hoping he wasn't overstepping himself. "His cubs are present." He spoke, knowing that at very least just as he invited the Nan to walk 'outside', nothing would happen in the square. Unless provoked, but that is why the others and her were present....
Though the Tah couldn't help but wonder how her or her family would suffer....away from the gaze of the crowd and Shen Lung's cubs....
[ Ajax ]
A quiet and still breath left Ajax as his gaze remained on the nan that dare to speak to their ruler in such a way. His dark eyes unmoved made a insightful glance over to Kyle before being mindful of his brother.
One wrong move or swift command would set the brothers on their prey. The thought of Nan or Tah didn't cross Ajax's mind, he only cared about following orders-regardless how easy or difficult it may be....
[Jin Lung]
Jin Lung's little wild charge was ended thankfully by the soft thud against auntie Yahui's legs.
'Uff' Left the cub in a flop as the 'visions' seemed to halt as he collided against the nan. Flopping backward on his hunches, his strange gaze blinked up at her before quickly looking over his shoulder at the strange Nan and his king father. Looking quickly back to Yahui, his maw gaped a little as he tried to figure out what he had just seen. Feeling her nuzzle him, her words occurred to him and he quickly nodded. Closing his maw.
"Yeah, T-Thank you Auntie Ya-ya." The cub pipped up before he was coxed back over to his mother and siblings. Ears docked a little as he noticed the stern look on his mom's face, and he lowered himself closer to the ground as he slinked over to her. He didn't know if the look was toward him, or from what had been going on....
Jin Lung didn't like what the mean Nan was saying about his father either...before the weird flashes over took his sight.
[Jing Lung]
Jing Lung looked from Yahui as she manged to catch Shen's youngest. She let her raised paw rest before giving Yahui a thankful look and nod. It was stressful enough not being able to stand at her choosen's side to make sure their cubs were safe.
As Jin slinked over, Jing Lung looked at him in a confused blink. Why, did he cower toward her?
It was that moment, the queen realized the look of contempt that rested on her maw that was place there by the upstart's words. Taking in a slow breath, Jing Lung removed it from her maw before looking back down at Jin Lung. She offered her cubs a gentle reassuring smile.
Placing a little lick on Jin Lung, she kindly nudged him with her maw. "Stand tall and brave for your father." She whisper softly, before tipping her maw to his sister-and her boldness.
"listen carefully to his words and learn them well."(edited)
[Xerviera]
Xaviera's eyes narrowed on the ruler as he couldn't resist on correcting her once more.
He was so pretentious....
Crimson tail flicked angerly, her tighten maw unlatched it's self prepared to answer his challenge...that was until a very familiar pelt and set of horns stepped into the corner of her gaze.
The sight of her older brother caused her heart to drop and her blood to freeze over.
No...Cervantes. He was not suppose to be there.....but then again, neither was she.....
Nose crinkled, maw curled, whiskers flared and claws loosened their grip in the ground under her.
"No, I don't..." The Nan stated bitterly, to the comment of having a 'flame'. "Forgive me, Gracious Emperor." She tightly spoke, and lowered her eyes to the ground. Slowly....very slowly......The once bold Nan lowered herself and her horns, and made paw steps to slip away with a lowered tail.
"You are right, and may the weaver never remove you from your place..."

Thyra was rather disappointed what a shame, she wasn't allowed to have another to play with. This nan shut herself up at just the right time. My how gracious he was. Thyra settled back down. the guards would have caught the obnoxious child of.. Oh what was his name. she couldn't quite recall.
Oh well.

[Yahui] smiled softly at the cubs then turned where she stood. She was far enough back from the front to sit back and observe now.
She watched carefully as Shen spoke to her. Every little twitch and snarl logging into her memory for the moment. It was when the red Nan suddenly changed that her ears perked forward and head tilted slightly. White brows skewed, one up and one down at the apparent flip the Nan seemed to make. Berrating and scorning the Great Tah Leader and then now... Cowering? That seemed a bit odd. Crimson orbs twitched into the direction in which the Nan had glanced seconds before the change occured. She spotted a similar pelt in the masses. Was he the reason for this sudden change? He did appear to be focused on her heavily with quite the scowl... Perhaps...
Tail twitched and flicked to cover her paws where she sat, glancing at first to Xerviera, before falling back to the Tah she seemed to turn tail for. This... could be good or bad.
She soaked in the details of their coats. She'd have to ask Shen to collect them for questioning later. For now, she remained as still as pillar, eyes scanning the crowd as she fell into thought. She did not miss the unmistakable coat of the Blacksmith still mingled in the mix. It brought a faint curl to her lip to know he was still there, but she resumed her scanning elsewhere.

[Amaterasu] Nodding faintly, Ama's forehead pulled together slightly at the scene playing out before all of them. Everyone no doubt had thoughts that sided with the Emperor and those that didn't, and then those that were perhaps neutral but found that this type of confrontation would have been better suited with no cubs around. It wasn't the young one's place to understand just yet....especially when Amaterasu's own beliefs were questioned every day whenever she was on duty and even here. Wisdom was a scary thing to have and develop on because it took away the blinders from your eyes to see the truth before you, even when you do not want to see it. Turning from the scene, Amaterasu looked up at Sir Warden and gave him a small, yet warm smile before whispering softly in response. "I wish it would be alright....and that this event of celebrating cubs were not shadowed by tensions." She said before she turned her head to look at the Nan especially the sudden change in her demeanor. It seemed as if something made her realize that she should stop before something happened to her....it was the body language that made it seem that way as Amaterasu did not catch the glance the young Nan made into the crowd. [Cervantes]Curling his tail around his leg, the steady gaze of Cervantes continued to stay on Xaviera yet that didn't mean the Tah lost sight of those in league with the Emperor. No, Cervantes' expression was schooled in stoicism as he watched his litter mate and beloved sister deflate from her passionate fire for justice to obedience. If his sister was going to fight against the injustice of this fiend then he would rather she do so as a warrior rather than be taken out cheaply where there were no eyes to watch the truth. Clenching his jaw tightly and narrowing his eyes, those orbs looked over the large Tah then dismissed him immediately. Using fear and intimidation as weapons against their own kin..he was the right Tah for the role but the wrong one that the Fire Tribe needed. In his heart of hearts, with his belief in the Grand Weaver, there would be one among them that would rise up as a true leader for their Fire Tribe and bring about the true unity of their firekin. Cervantes looked down at the unique marking on his left shoulder that went down his left foreleg and then slowly back up to his sister. Patience, they needed more patience.

[Shen Lung] Shen eyed the female with clear suspicion. Such fire wasn't snuffed so easily- small as it was. She had glanced elsewhere- and Shen had refused to let his eyes follow hers. His gaze remained firmly on her, as was proper, and held firmly until her gaze fell away in submission. Something wasn't quite right. None of the tension left him, he stood firm with his horns held high and his eyes narrowed. "....remember my grace today, Nan." He said quietly, a whisper of a threat in his tone. "When my family is called into question- both in blood and in spirit -I may not be so gracious a second time."
He flicked his tail and shot a slow glanced down to his litter. His eldest daughter was standing with her chest puffed out, her paws splayed, and her little white fangs flashing. It would have been hilarious if not for the very real threat to her and her siblings. At least she had shown courage in the face of such insults.
"My queen-", he said softly, nudging his daughter back towards her siblings. "I hate to part so soon, but I fear there are other matters to see to today. See our little ones back to the palace. I'll return this afternoon."
He glanced over his shoulder. "Sinbad!"
[Sinbad] The Tah tore his eyes away from the offending Nan and strode forward, horns up and jaw tight. "Sir."
[Shen Lung] "See them back safely."
[Sinbad] He nodded firmly and approached the empress with a dip of his horns. "M'lady, I have the great honor of seeing you back safely. Please-" He motioned forward. [Shen Lung] He nodded and took a slow step away, turning, and padding closer toYahui. The thunderstorm returned to his eyes. "I need to meet with you in private." He said quietly, "Something is emboldening them..."

[ Jin Lung ]
Jin lung nodded to his mother Jing Lung, and raised his little lean young body to stand with his brave Sister. Puffing his golden fluffed chest his white chin raised proudly just as his mother had instructed.
As His father lowered his head and nudge his sister, Jin Lung let out a soft trill and hopped around turning himself toward Jing Lung. With a little hop the cub returned to his mother's side. little wiggly cub body bounced gently against his sister in a slight tease as he waited at their mother's elegant paws. Looking up to her, Jin Lung looked back to Fan Lung and a devious smile crossed his maw. Leaning his head, his maw gently nipped at her hair and ear, raising a paw he flopped it toward her paw.
[ Jing Lung ]
Jing Lung's sharp and calculating gaze looked toward her bound, and softened just slightly as he addressed her. A gentle-yet elegant huff passed the Queen's maw, and her white tipped tail twitched sharpy. She was not at all happy with how her Kingly bound was treated, and how their family was threatened. However, she would not bother to even look at the fool that insulted them after her Lord gave her his pardon...for now.
"Yes, My darling King." The Empress spoke, "We look forward to your return." Jing Lung softly purred before drifting a softer gaze down to their litter. Letting her Lord return to some now much needed business....
Counting her cub's Jing Lung's ear turned as a guard was called to escort them back to palace. Giving a thought full nod to Kyle, she wordless thanked him for standing guard as well.
"Thank you, Tah Sinbad." Jing Lung spoke as she was address by the young Naraan clan member, elegantly her golden horns answered his nod and she coxed the litter of cubs forward toward the castle. [Ajax]
Ajax remain still and focused on the red Nan as she slipped away. Hearing Shen Lung's call for his brother caused his ebony tail tip to flick and twitch ever so slightly. A dark ear turned back as if to listen for Kyle's next order, as his body remained still and strong as a stubborn wall. Dark eyes narrowed and kept sight on the offending Nan, as well as the crowd encase there was any other upstarts to rear their insulting horns towards the crown.... [ Sir Warden ]
"It will be, at least from our sight..." Sir Warden sighed, and forced a little smile on his maw. "They are cute arnt they, that little Nan of his seems to share her father's flame." The Tah spoke with a soft chuckle, hoping to lighten the mood just a little as they watched the family leave past the gates.
Looking from the castle Gates he watched as his two younger cousins made their clan proud. Sinbad walked with the queen and looked after her and her cub's saftey, and Ajax was dutiful and protective as ever....the faint smell of blood could be smelt off of his pelt. There was no doubt that it wasn't his...
Twisting his maw slightly in thought, his yellow eyes glance to Amaterasu hoping to distract his thoughts once more.
[Nizah]
"How insulting..." Nizah huffed as she watched the weak Nan back down from her initial roar of insults. "It's a good thing their Father isn't present to witness such lack of follow through." The Hard horn nantlil narrowed her eyes on the crimson pelt nan that lowered her horns before their king and begged for pity.
A stern maw, turned a watchful green eye over to Cervantes. Oh yes, she had noticed the sibling and eldest son of Xavier. He at least seemed to have some wisdom and hold his horns back, but remain ready in case his sister was threatened.
[Adonis]
The older yellow pelted Tah released a sigh, and lowered his hunches to the ground as his sister's more curler words reached his ears.
"They are still only cubs, Nizah...." He sighed softly. "I am sure Xavier would still be proud of them all the same."
[Nizah]
"Foolish actions of a cub can still cost the life of others." Nizah spoke back sternly to Adonis, thoughtfully eyeing his horns and side of his head "leave scars...and destroy everything a clan has worked for..." she added with a glance over to Sir Warden.
"Take care of yourself, brother..." The Nan spoke before turning herself and leaving the bustle of the square. There was no more reason for her to be there, she had her own Kin to look after.....
[Forge]
A heavy breath left the stubborn black smith, and a huge puff of smoke sheaped from his maw. His body relaxed as the situation seemed to calm now and everyb'alam was more or less dismissed....
Clearing his maw, Forge empty his pipe on the hard ground and made his way slowly over to Lord Shen and Yahui. Crimson scared and worn claws softly clicked on the stone under him past tuffs of smoky paw fluff.
"Lord Shen Lung..." The Black Smith spoke in his rough gravely voice as he approched. Cracked and heated worn horns tipped to him respectfully. A thoughtful glance was made to Yahui, before his ember gaze returned to their Emperor.
"If I may..." The Tah spoke past his unlit pipe, another glance was made to the King's adviser. "I...made somethings for you and your litter." Forge spoke evenly, not really sure how to present the few trinkets, toys and adornments he made for the royal cubs.
Forge's thoughts carefully pulled a paw crafted bag from his side and offered it to the Emperor...
[Solstice]
The Blue more meek Nantlil watched the event happen before her rather quietly and admittedly a little judging-ly. This place...that was now unconventionally her home...well, at least temporarily seemed so...chaotic...
A sigh left her paw, and golden horns shook a little. If she had spoken out like that to someone of authority...like her father, she would have been in so much trouble. Not that she would even dream to do such a thing, she respected her father and mother....
Unlike the Crimson nan, and this 'Shen Lung', from what she gathered seemed to be the 'father' of the fire tribe....
Solstice's thoughts where pulled away as she heard the king call for a very familiar name....
Light golden gaze carefully followed the luring pelt of Sinbad as he so -dutifully- followed orders and was asked to protect the Queen.
Careful intrigued tail twitched musingly as she took her time in watching Sinbad's tail trot off to escort the Queen and her cubs. Her head and horns tilted a little to follow the tah even as he started to slip from her sight around the gate and pillar.....
[ Xeriera ]
"Yes, Tah." Xeviera stated keeping her gaze to the ground and her blue horns pointed down to the earth. "Thank you, Shen Lung." The Nan spoke, keeping her tail lowered and still, she didn't dare look from the ground until Shen Lung turned her attention completely from her.
In a slick instance the Nan, slipped away and once far enough away darted from the square with a tear blurred gaze. The murmurs of insults from others filled her ears and their scornful eyes chase her pelt as she loped far away. [ Crucible ]
The Dark Nan was no where to be found in the square and must have slipped away during the ruckus....

[Yahui] kept her gaze in the crowd, eyes faintly narrowed as she tried to piece together all that she could, commit it to memory and sort out just what she should do about it. Her tail flicked lightly in response to Shen as he approached. Her chin lifted slight and her chest puffed a bit in some slight bit of pride that he'd come to her for council on the matter. An ear swiveled to catch his words before her eyes and then head would turn to focus upon him as well. "Of course, Tah Shen Lung." Her voice was almost as smooth as silk as she spoke and she dipped her head respectfully, taking another glance at the Tah in the crowd... as well as the Nan as she ran off with her tail tucked between her legs.
The gaze was quickly shifted as Forge's voice called out to Shen. A startled ear shifted slightly to Forge before her tail gave a slightly nervous twitch to the approach. She was still trying to piece together her feelings for the Blacksmith... Whether they were truly to be bound in spirit or if it was just idle fantasy continued to plague her thoughts, but at the same time... maybe... maybe she was just nervous to look like a jibbering fool in front of both Forge and Shen Lung...? That had to be it.
In a flash, she regained her composure and raised a brow to the bundle that Forge had presented the Emperor. Ears perked forward to Shen in that moment, wondering how he'd respond to the soot-covered Tah in the moment.

Kyle] Needless to say, Kyle was not happy to see that the vile worm, or rather pathetic ember was not snuffed where she had stood. This disagreement he had to keep on the inside. Not even a wince. His face remained stoic. It would have been justice and a good example to see that tongue removed from that one's maw, but it was not his decision. All he could do at this moment was be ready if she were to return. Something about this departure did not sit well with Kyle. He glanced over to Ajax who seemed to be waiting for a command. With an upward tilt of his head he called his shadow back to his side. Than he turned his sights toward Shen and readied to escort him away. The cubs and the empress were taken care of.
[Xiang] His eyes had been wide throughout the entire ordeal. He didn't understand most of it, but when his sister had flared her claws out he flexed his own, but did not move from where he stood. Didn't everyone like his Dad? He re-lit the fires. That is something everyone needed. They should be happy, right?

[Amaterasu]The green eyes watched the scene go from intense to submission, watching the young Nan leave with the cruel words and harsh looks from....her own firekin. Amaterasu did not pity the young nan nor did she feel anything harsh towards her except for understanding and sympathy. Turning her head in the direct that Sir Warden looked where the little nan seemed to show the strength of flame as her father pulled a smile from the pretty striped warrior. They were absolutely adorable and despite the intense situation this was the reason they had this presentation; they were adorable and any proud parent would love to show that. "She is cute. I wonder if she would become Empress with that show of strength." She murmured then turned to look at Sir Warden. "With things calming down for now...what are you doing after here?" It was a random and very distracting question but perhaps with the flames cooled until another incident happened given that it seemed like a normal occurrence in their lives perhaps she could find some normalcy with a familiar friend in all of this, especially when she made it a point to never spend time with the others in the army given that she wasn't a die-hard fanatic and was discovering more and more about herself that didn't mesh well with the vision and life that Emperor Shen gave them.
[Cervantes]Watching the proud, searing hot flames to cooled embers of his sister leaving the square no doubt shamed and hurt made worse by the insults and the harsh looks, the son of Xavier looked around at everyone including those of position, narrowing his eyes slightly before he stood up to take his leave. The Tah that took after his father in personality and size with ice cold blue eyes that were different from the cold lavender ones of his sire left the square to search for his sister. They were firekin created by the Grand Weaver, yet they insult one of their own. They scorned one of their own. Yet Grand Weaver forbid that anyone did so to them when they cried, whined and complained of their own unhappiness where they demand the whole world to stop to sympathize with them. Grand Weaver forbid that if it was their own cubs who would dare to stand up for their beliefs that anyone should insult them, ridicule them and scorn them lest they feel the stinging of their own claws as parents protecting their children. Cervantes mentally stopped himself at the weakness of a tangent that went through his mind with those thoughts and took in a deep, deep breath. He couldn't allow his flames to be unleashed yet. Not when so much was at stake. The Phoenix side needed all the numbers they could to be a strong force. It wasn't about the quantity but about the quality of dedication and moral understanding. Cervantes stopped in his path and looked over his shoulders back in the direction of the square. The Tah could not feel anything but pride for his sister in standing up...but he was a selfish one to not want her flames to be snuffed out so soon. If she wanted to risk her flames again then he would want her to do so in front of everyone, giving everything that she was as a beautifully molded flames from the Grand Weaver's paws as an example of loyalty to the firekin. That is what he wanted for his sister even at the cost of her hating that he was there and ruining anything and everything for her. It was....it was what big brothers do.

[Ajax:]
Without even a shift of his gaze, Ajax was pulled to Kyle's side as he called him. Turning himself he darted to his side swiftly and silently, like a shadow being called along to follow with a subtle gesture.
Standing at Kyle's side, Ajax was wordless as he watched as his brother went to escort the queen and her cubs. His own duty was to escort their Emperor and king. As always Ajax stood at Kyle's side, a darker contrast to the other large Tah as he waited his next order. Stoiclly he watched as the crowds started to disburse and fade, while still being on alert for any would be attackers.
[Sir Warden]
A small smile rest on Sir Warden's maw, as his gaze seemed to speak worry before he pulled from from the retreating family to Amaterasu's questions. A crimson ear turned first, and a golden eye followed. Turning his head he looked at her, where was he going?
His Dark tail twitched and his gaze dropped a little in thought, well...after over hearing his aunt and uncle speak-he didn't want to return home....He was still a black spot on the family.
A little breath left Sir Warden and he strenghtened his smile to the pretty in pink nan before him. His tail twitched a little behind him, hopefully she would find the smile convincing enough.
"Oh I don't know...." The Tah smiled letting his sad eyes close. " Maybe take a walk beyond the gates for a bit." He added his maw pulling more to show a 'happy' smile. Looking back at the Nan, his white whiskers twitched and his gaze squinted from the smile. His tail flicked.
And maybe not come back.....
