Hika adjusted her cork-coat until she was at least semi comfortable, but she felt ridiculous, was sure she LOOKED ridiculous, and bloody heck it kind of itched some. She sighed deeply, then looked at Peyton and her packing peanut. "We're all going to look ridiculous and silly when this is over, aren't we?" She asked, in an ironic tone. She followed Peyton to the boats, her eyes looking them over, a narrow eyed expression on her face. None of them were the sort of boat she was familiar with, and none of them actually looked particularly safe... especially with that shark in the background. She looked back at the one that Peyton selected, and then nodded. "None look very safe, so we might as well. It's an option." ________________________________________________________________ Dai listened, as he took a packing peanut 'safety vest', because he had no concept of ANY of them being more or less safe than the others... They all looked ridiculous, so it was what it was. "Yeah, I know, but Starbucks tends to have more comfortable seating, and less greasy food. Occasionally, greasy stuff upsets my stomach. And McDonald's coffee is disgusting as hell. Also, I have another factor in my selection I need to consider... My sister and her boyfriend are a bit... protective. I don't want to make them worry needlessly, so a city that's generally 'safe' will make them happy." He shrugged, and laughed, shaking his head. "Even though I've been more cities then either of them, I suspect." He then looked at the twin girls and gave them both a warm, bright smile. "Ladies. I'm Dai, and it's a pleasure to meet you both, despite these trying circumstances." He noticed that Henry seemed totally happy to see them, and not at all shy or nervous. Maybe neither of them WAS the person he'd bee told about. He glanced at the one who commented about the boats, before looking at them again. "Mmmm they all look ridiculous but they're glowing, so they must've modd'd em a fair bit." He moved towards them a bit, enough to get a slightly better view, but still be part of his 'group', and made a humming sound for a moment, before looking back at them. "If we're not going to use the speed boat, I vote the swan... all that inflatable stuff makes me think it might ride higher on the waves. Not that I really know much about boats, or what makes 'em more or less buoyant."

Ever hauled on one of the makeshift safety floats as he looked over the boats, his expression still dubious. After a moment, he looked back to Zeke, shoulders rolled in a shrug. Perplexed. Or maybe just uncomfortable. It made his eyebrows twist up toward the middle. "I guess we should grab one with a sail, maybe?"

Noemi squeezed both of Seren and Milo's hands before letting go and doing as Rhys said. They'd have to get some sort of floaties and the girl was not like an AMAZING swimmer but she was pretty good. "I'll get these!" she held up the grapes and slid her tiny arms through and smiled at Seren and Rhys and Milo.
"Should...Should we take this one?" She pointed to the large wooden canoe like one because well......"SEAGULL?" Her body dived by the boat, pressing grape floaty arms against it and looking to the sky.
Since Dwight had made clear what was happening, the girl relaxed. It was terrifying being inches tall.
"We...We should hurry!" She started to push the boat out, again, grape arm floaties and all.

Sonja weighed her options a bit as she looked among the row of boats. Everyone had a pro and con she could think of, some more than others. As she watched several others make their own decisions on it, she found herself being drawn more and more to the yellow and pink toy boat.
It had it's own propulsion system and it was 'loud' enough in color for her to be spotted it she happened to be separated from the whole group.
She wasn't about to waste anytime as she strapped her condiment bottle, which just happen to be mustard, to her body and began to slowly push her boat choice out. She ducked down before hearing that it was just the higher-ups and their device that was to guide them.
A short sigh of relief left her before she continued to push her craft out into the water and board it with a triumphant smirk.
"Hah!" And now that she looked at it, her and the boat matched a little, what with her pink hair and the bright yellow bottle strapped to her back.

Seren sighed some, and squeezed Rhys' hand as she stared at the safety gear. She had no idea what was good or not, and finally she sighed and strapped on a condiment bottle. It was something, at least. She hoped it would actually do her some good, should they capsize, because she had NO urge to meet the shark that was out there. Or drown. Or anything of that nature. She almost pulled Rhys down on top of her, when she ducked hard at the 'seagull', then glared at it when it was explained. "Because PRE-warning us, after all of this, is too much?" She mumbled to her boyfriend, then she looked at the boat Noemi had picked for them. She looked a little disappointed... She had LIKED the idea of one of the speed boat types, but... it was picked, and she wasn't going to argue with them. She could row, if needed, after all. She squeezed Rhys' hand one more time, than let it go to help Noemi. "Let's not get it all the way down, though, cause we don't want to drift out of range of instructions!" She was trying to sound bright and cheerful, and optimistic. She wasn't feeling that, though.

He traded his ping pong ball for the peanut vest once Gretchen had moved away to prepare herself, nodding at her assessment. "I approve." It seemed like one of the more likely choices for speed, and the boat was properly bright and everything. One of the things he'd found most irritating about spending the month in miniature was that his slowly growing and raucously loud wardrobe didn't fit. Kenton's eyes went wide at the seagull alert, and his hand rose to his chest to calm his heart soon after. He peered up at Mark, either squinting against the sun or in disapproval of the man himself. It was hard to tell which. "This might have been quite the adventure, but I'll be happier when it's over too. Do you think they really have a solution, or are we just wasting our time together as a family?"

Milo had to agree with Rhys about the grapes and couldn't help as he made a concerned face as Noemi went right ahead and picked them as her flotation device - he himself decided on the pin pong ball contraption. Her apprehension and worry had faded, she had gotten so determined - even after the seagull scare that hadn't been a thing (he had still ducked) - that he also couldn't argue with her either.
(And she was so cute when determined and making decisions, he really was useless)
Even over the boat. "Would have chosen something with a sail, ya," the Sun still spoke up as he sized the canoe up before lending his weight as well to push the thing into the water, "but we can totally make this work." Not like they knew where they were going and the sails would make any difference. But they had plenty of arm strength and the power of friendship and teamwork on their side after all.

Kammy had no idea which one to choose, as they all looked about as useful as toy boats could be, so she picked the one with the big white balloon on it. Because why not. Maybe the balloon would stop it from sinking. Or be popped by a passing seagull and become utterly useless.
She stood beside the boat pondering her life decisions as the seagull, no wait, Mark, flew overheard and scared the bejeezus out of everyone including herself, flattening her body beside the boat until she was sure it was safe to stand up again.
"Not cool man." She mumbled. Everyone else had started pushing their boats into the water so she grasped the edge of hers and pushed. And pushed some more. It budged a little.
It sucked being tiny and struggling to move a toy boat into the ocean.

He managed to grab some pellet floaties before Seren tugged him down to duck at the sound of the seagull warning. He curled his lip when Dwight cleared up the little confusion, and helped his girlfriend up before dusting a bit of sand off of himself. "Obviously," he sighed, finally securing the floaties on himself before turning to see the boat that Noemi had picked out. As far as he was concerned it was as good as any other boat so he followed after Seren and Milo and started helping Noemi get the boat into the water.
"That's probably far enough, at least for now," he suggested once two-thirds of the boat was in the water. "Should probably get the general plan of action before we float away. Knowing how the waters are out here..." his expression soured a bit as he recalled the last time he was at the beach for a mission. And where they ended up going. With any luck being two inches might make him less susceptible to puking his guts out if they were going to that island.
Rhys focused on the water for the moment, the dread of having to make their way across these waters very clear in his eyes. "The s**t we have to do here, ******** class="quote">Pixie Nyxie

The call over the intercoms to meet down at the beach was sort of a mixed blessing. On the one hand, Liam was more than ready to do whatever they needed to do to get back to their original sizes. On the other, it was a really long hike down to the beach when you were the size of a toy soldier. A really really long hike. Long enough that it had taken more than a day, and they didn't reach the sandy shoreline until early afternoon the following morning. A bit out of breath, Liam gave Harper's hand a squeeze as they made their way over the gravel sized sand towards the wagon, but let her go as they reached it so he could find himself a suitable floaty. "What do you think, packing peanut?" He held it up for consideration, blue eyes flicking between it and her before he gave a small shrug and pulled it on. It seemed the safest, at least. Next they were meant to pick some kind of a boat, but an alarmed cry had the Moon trainee grabbing for his girlfriend and drawing her in close, head snapping up to search the sky for the threat, only to blink towards Dwight in the wagon, frowning as the adrenaline drained away slowly. "Jesus..." After a moment, his pulse calming a bit, he looked back towards the boats. "Speed boat maybe?" He wondered how easy it'd be to drive that. Zeke was looking between the boats with a thoughtful look on his face and his arms crossed, half leaned towards Ever to answer his question, when the alarmed cry made him flinch, hand snapping out to circle Ever's wrist. When he realized it was nothing more than Mark on a drown the Life frowned, huffing slightly before he turned his attention back to the choice on hand. "We could, but they all have runes, so I think they'll go regardless."

Gretchen flashed him a bright grin at his approval, but it was rather short lived. All at once people were shouting, something about a seagull, and her fingers dug into Kenton's arm as her eyes went wide. Then, just as quickly, the threat was dismissed as a misunderstanding, and they were all left to gather their scattered wits. "Lord Jesus," she breathed out, pulse thudding in her eyes as she turned brown eyes from the drone back down to the trianee she was holding onto. His question made her frown, breath leaving in a slow rush as she thought it over, but after a moment she gave his arm a soft, reassuring pat, a hint of her usual smile returning. "We'll be okay." Mark had saved her life in the past, on more than one occasion, and she had faith in him and Dwight to fix things. "They're unconventional, but them boys are smart as a whip. If anyone'll fix it, it's them." The sooner the better, though.

Luka stuck her tongue out at her sister. "Lena's just being a fuddy-duddy worry wart."
Henry was greeted with kisses pressed to either side of his cheeks, the girl mindful of her fruit based floaties, and she offered her hand out to the guy accompanying her friend. "Hallo." Her instinct was to lean in and do the same but she held off.
"Ignore Le's concerns, I bet we'll be fine enough but..." She glanced back at the boat options, choosing not to voice her concern of what if it pops. Lena was already worried but they'd be fine.
Probably.
"Let's all pile in that swan then!" She chirped, looping her arm with her sisters and making her way to the boat.

Water was only annoying because of his glasses and not for the first time Zane contemplated the idea of contacts. It would mean using one of his days to do things like visit the eye doctor but...Eh, he'd worry about it later.
"I bet it can't be that hard." He'd watched some movies, maybe they'd be able to figure it out.
Allowing Sol to loop his arm, he slowed his steps to accommodate for her shaky footing.
"The schooner it is," he announced, promptly heading towards the boat as much as his generally leisurely gait allowed.

"Am not a fuddy-duddy!"
Lena knew, unfortunately, that compared to her twin that she indeed was a fuddy-duddy but she wasn't about to let Henry and his friend actually know that. It would appear much, much cooler if she gave off even a sliver of appearance of being as suave and clever as the girl who shared her... well, everything else!
"The swan looks the cutest anyways."
Biting her bottom lip, she tried to shake off the feeling of what ifs concerning their current predicament, doing her best to embody the courage of her twin.
