Utakan Now as for Corpse Bride, I guess it kinda is a near parallel to PotO. Only Victor doesn't really end up loving Emily. It's more pity and respect. He loves Victoria, But isn't pity/respect really what Christine feels for Erik? And doesn't she really love Raoul? ...except... I kinda wanted Emily and Victor to be together....

Well yes. But I was just correcting that little tidbit.
I actually wanted Emily and Victor to end up together at first, but I kinda ended up liking Victoria, so I wanted her and Victor to go together. I love the ending to the movie, though. It makes me happy and sad all at once, which usually makes me feel good. Oddly enough.

He usually writes little sad stories. Like with Cosette in Les Mis and her mother Fantine. That was like a little sob story added into the main thing about the French Revolution.
And of course Quasimodo's story is despressing just cuz. XD I don't understand the disturbing thing though. I guess I'm just immune.

I'd really like to see V for Vendatta, it looks like a good movie.
=3
Moulin Rouge is one of my favourites!
I like how its most of the songs are medly - style.
I bought a poster just awhile ago, because the Phantom of the Opera ones weren't very nice looking.
And for the Corpse Bride ... I knew I'd like it before I saw it!
I've been a fan of Tim Burton since I can remember.
How about Cats, Evita, and some of those other musicals by Andrew Lloyd Webber?

Quote: How is it disturbing and depressing? It sounds cool. It's depressing because everyone diiies horrible, angsty, tragic deaths in true Hugo fashion. Except Phoebus, I think... he just gets stabbed by a crazy archdeacon. Anyway, Esmerelda is executed for Frollo's attempted murder of Phoebus after being turned over to the police by a crazy gypsy-hatin' lady who finds out too late that Esmerelda was her long-lost daughter, and when Frollo is laughing maniacally at her death Quasimodo is so disgusted he pushes him off a tower. Then Quasimodo goes and it's sorta hinted that he was doing icky things with Esmerelda's corpse. Anyway, he dies too. Yay, Hugo.
