The posters scattered astound the city had done their job in attracting the people to the charity event by the looks of it. Of course, it had also caught the attention of a certain grey guardian. With the prospect of an ratty meal, and good food at that, Magnus had quickly decided to crash the party.
It didnt take much to sneak in. Just some sitting around, watching, and timing his entry with a large group of people who held the door open just long enough for him to sneak in. Once inside it was easy enough to find the main hall where, much to his delight, the smell of food made his mouth water.
Crouching lie to the floor, the guardian hurried to one of the many covered tables where he'd be able to hide out of sight. Not too mention avoid being stepped on. Not that he was a small cat, but dancers didn't always pay attention for wayward tails.
He poked his head out from under the tablecloth. Glancing up to the top where he knew the food awaited, he contemplated how he was going to get to it without being seen.

Noah Jones
It was thrilling, to watch the way he affected his spouse with a simple gesture or grin. His own reactions were much more subtle and he licked his lips when his husband pulled back from the more chaste kiss-- they were in public after all.
A low chuckle was earned from the older man's comment, stormy eyes rolling as he followed him towards the now claimed table. While he was comfortable in his suit jacket, he pulled it off in a show of solidarity (and table claiming).
"Food," he answered, the sharp way his gaze cut over a sign that he actually wanted to eat verse eating because he should and they needed to take care of that.
It was one of the fanciest events they'd been too which meant they didn't cheap out on a good caterer and those were the types of deals he couldn't pass up on when it came to food.
"We can find a new-- we can meet new people later." He promised, looping his arm around Paul's back to tug him close.
Rory Willows
Unlike Akio, Rory didn't recognize anyone that had come. Or if she did, the hesitation and was it really them kept her from going anywhere. She had dealt with several charity organizations over the years, but most of the members were older and not really the ball attending type.
She didn't fit in with the hoity-toityness of such an affair.
Her boyfriend's kiss helped ground her and sooth her flightiness. Without Jules to mother her through it, Rory's desire to suddenly flee the too fancy party was a strong one. Still, she put on a smile and did her best to pretend that she wasn't anxious. "No, it's not my fault if you don't get the right stuff," she teased back, gripping her offered plate a little too tightly.
By the time they made it through the line, she mostly had a salad and some roasted vegetables on her place. There was fruit too, but it was a meager amount like she was worried about taking anything she wasn't going to actually eat.

Chase Black
The closer they stepped to Robert Banks the more Chase could tell that things had not been well for the man and it made him press his lips firmly together when his eyes narrowed just slightly. He had heard from the man's 'firm'-- if it really qualified as such -- that Banks had been taking time off and was slowly returning to work at a regular pace.
For several reasons it concerned him, especially with serious mergers going on and the need to ensure that everything was running as smoothly as it should be.
"I wouldn't say he's a friend," he replied, before they were close enough to be greeted by the lawyer. "Employee, if we're technical. He assisted me when it came to getting my inheritance untangled following my return."
Because of Banks it had been a relatively smooth ride, but not without it's bumps.
Prissy called to Regan and Chase detached himself from the pinkette. If Regan came their way, he would provide her with proper attention, but for now he had business matters to attend to.
"It's been a while, Banks," Chase replied, a careful smile greeting the older man. "Every time I tried to reach you at the office I was informed you were gone." His tone was polite enough, but it wouldn't take a genius to note that he was displeased with that. "I'm afraid the others at your firm aren't capable of handling my affairs the way I expect them to be handled."
The unspoken message was pretty clear.

Roxanne "Roxy" Johnson
Roxy was thrilled to get a chance to go to the ball and see the absolutely stunning gowns on display. She wore a beautiful pink gown that she had made herself. It fit her petit form perfectly, billowing out in a mermaid tail from her knees, and sparkled in the light every time she moved. On one arm she wore the lovely corsage from the donation table, and the other she carried her clutch and a white and pink tote that she had brought to put the other donation items she bought as well as her candy bag she got just for walking through the door.
It was actually a little overwhelming to be surrounded by so many high class people. Her mother had barely scraped together the $45 for the donations, but it had been worth it. Now Roxanne was determined to mingle and hand out her business cards that filled her clutch to try and get some higher end customers for her custom costumes and gown business. She was almost seventeen, but already had a nice little online shop for herself.
At least she knew she looked the part. Her mother helping her put her bright pink hair into an updo and her dress looking designer. She could only ooo and ahh at the display pieces, hoping someday to get her own line and have her designs walk the runways of Paris.
The Valentine theme also made her a little sad that she had to come by herself. She didn't have a date, much less a boyfriend or even a crush. It was sad, really. She was always too busy to care for such things, but it didn't mean she didn't dream of one day finding 'the one'. The idea of having a handsome boy to go get her a drink and dance with her was a romantic one, and she sighed at it. Maybe she could find someone here that would sweep her off her feet. Someone like a rich young bachelor, who promises to wait for her eighteenth birthday and showers her with love and affection and expensive gifts and trips around the world...
The smell of the food made her stomach rumble, pulling her from her daydream, and she headed over to a table that was out of the way, putting her clutch into the tote bag to free up a hand. Grabbing a glass of sparkling water, she took a sip and eyed the layout, only to spot something odd a couple tables away. Heading over, she paused to look around and make sure that no one was looking, then bent down and lifted the skirt table, spotting the little cat.
Of course, her heart melted at the sight.
"Awww, hey there cutie...what are you doing down here? I don't think you're supposed to be in here." She said in a high pitched baby voice, trying to keep quiet though, so no one could hear her. "Did you sneak your way in here, little guy?"
Regan's hair was uncharacteristically down for the evening, to match with the navy blue gown and she hated out it flowed around her waist. The urge to tie it up was becoming more apparent as she attempted to casually hide the small rubberband on her wrist. She was not carefully adorned like the other women in the place, mostly because she had never had such frivolity, but it didn't stop her from looking at everyone like princes and princesses of the evening.
She almost started as she turned to slink away, wondering if she could just spend the evening elsewhere since Chase and Prissy had such a wonderful way about this and them. So Natural with it all. However Prissy noticed her and she was caught, quite red handed in an almost escape.
She let her hands clench in the dress before relaxing and coming to stand by the pink haired socialite.
"Good evening Prissy and Chase." Her face didn't show much as she greeted, but she leaned in closer to the pink curls, "Happy birthday to you Prissy." Her gaze next fell on Chase, who was socially engaged with a...business man? Lawyer? She wasn't sure. It returned to Prissy and she struggled to come up with something normal in a place she was certainly not normal in.

“Don’t worry, I’m wearing steel toed shoes.” Chuckling, as if he had eavesdropped on someone else's private conversation, Aiden handed Alex a plate and set of utensils. In truth he wasn’t wearing any sort of special shoes, he just didn’t want his partner to feel bad like last time. Thankfully the two of them have practiced some of the more basic moves in the confines of their home while nobody was around; otherwise there was no way in hell he’d be able to get Alexandre to dance with him.
“Thankfully you didn’t invite Jenna this time. Don’t get me wrong, I love my sister, but she has a tendency of wanting to show off at these kind of events.” Not that he could completely blame her, she is a talented dancer. “In any case you don’t need to worry about anyone pining for a private dance lesson.” Something he was able to skillfully evade last time but tempt fate too much and you’re bound to get screwed.
“I’m all yours tonight.” That much was a given, especially since it was Alexandre’s birthday.
As the two made their way down the table, Aiden filled his plate with various vegetables and dips to go with them, fruits and two of the little triangle shaped sandwiches. Taking the dogs for a run right before coming here probably wasn’t the best ideas; it left him feeling famished. “Do you want to go take our plates and find a place to sit while I get us something to drink?”
Mordred Pendragon had come for exactly 3 reasons. One- Kavinsky was going which left her by herself at the house which was boring and therefore, unacceptable. Two- Kavinsky needed to find someone. Or at least try to. How was she supposed to tease him about having an SO if he didn't have an SO? Tragic, is what such a thing was. Three- Rich people all drinking and dancing and not even looking around at other guests? Jackpot city baby.
While Kavinsky told her not to cause problems, he hadn't expressively forbidden her from pick-pocketing. However, she had been told releasing wild lizards or gardener snakes was not okay, so she'd given him that. He was nervous, if because niether of them looked like they fit in, or, because she was ready to start trouble, or maybe, he had his eye on someone and hadn't confessed yet. Mordred wasn't certain, but she guessed it was maybe all 3. Even she knew she wasn't to be trusted all the time, especially around large groups of people.
"Well." She brushed down her dress shirt. It was something nice, or as close to nice she got with the semi dress slacks. She looked like an androgynous under dressed teen with unruly blonde hair. She at least wore her clean converse. "Since you said please I guess I won't put laxatives in the punch." She looked at him from the corner of her eye. "Or try to ruin the party. You act like I exist to make problems." She did sometimes.
Purple eyes scanned the crowd and she figured to ask before she wandered off to do exactly what she had implied she wouldn't do- cause trouble. "So, who you gonna make the moves on?"

Shaking his head at the others comment, a playful smile tugging his lips upward. "A good idea, they'll save your toes tonight." Alex joked back, though he really was telling the truth. They really were a good idea, as he was not a dancer unlike Aiden. Taking the offered plate, and set of utensils, with a softly spoken word of thanks he went to see what there was to eat. The area certainly smelled good, he just hoped the food tasted as good as it smelled.
"Mmm, after the last time I thought it a good not to invite her. Family she may be but I think I saw some female, on the sidelines, who would have killed your sister if looks could do that." And he hadn't even noticed himself referring to Aiden's sister as his own family, when clearly he and Jenna were not related. It wasn't something he'd slipped with before and he didn't even notice this first.
"Good. I don't want to have you bailing me out of jail for stabbing someone with a fork." Because he did not like Valentine's to start with add someone trying to flirt or dance with Aiden and the ashen blond would unleash hell, he would without issue send someone to the hospital tonight. "I don't think I could handle being out tonight if you weren't with me all night." To keep him from losing his normally well contained temper, because as clam as he normally was he did have a temper, this was just not his night and Aiden knew it.
His own plate was filled with fruits and vegetables, he'd skipped on the sandwiches, as well as some overly frufru looking desert that they could share. Glancing about, as Aiden questioned him, he took a moment before he shook his head. "No...I'd rather not wander alone amongst all these people. I think it's best you keep me on a short leash tonight." His rather round about way of inviting Aiden to keep an arm about him and keep him close. He'd never directly say he wanted such acts of affection shown, it wasn't his sort of thing, and yet he was saying it disguised in a way which made him seem like some yappy little dog that might take peoples fingers off. Let anyone listening to him think as they wanted - he couldn't care less in all honesty...they were beneath him anyway.

Zachary Calloway
Suddenly, being in a fancy ball in a fancy black suit wasn't so bad. Melody was a classy lady, and Zach made sure to comb his hair just so and make sure the Mauvian stayed away from the suit rental (to keep any stray lilac hairs from clinging to it). No cheap cologne here, no sir! Zach even asked to borrow his father's fancy cologne (that he couldn't pronounce the name of, but it smelled pretty good). Golden cuff links and a signature deep green tie completed the look. But really, the most important part of the date was the lovely young lady by his side.
Well, and maybe impressing Pern, just a little. Maybe she'd be impressed that her (basically) son could don some mature duds and attend a ball? Her text message prior to the event gave him a good idea of where she would be, and where this mysterious boyfriend of hers was!
He leaned over to whisper to Melody, who might be nervous meeting someone that was essentially a mother figure to Zach. "Don't you worry, Mel," he said, brown eyes cast over the crowd to find the telltale shock of red hair. Surely Pern was super fancy tonight too. "Pern's real great. Uh... well, her real name is Fiona. I kinda... gave her a nickname and keep forgettin' that I keep callin' her that, but... Anyway, what's not to like about you, ya know? If she likes me, she's gotta like you." Dropping her a wink, Zach couldn't help but smile. It was a grin of pure joy, as if he'd won the lottery (and by all accounts, he kind of did). Ducking his head to hide his embarrassment, he caught sight of that flaming red hair.
Gesturing to her, the couple made their way towards Fiona, Mom of Wayward Boys. Zach waved to her as they approached. "Fiona! Hey, look at this number. Wow, your hair looks bananas. How've you been?"

Kavinsky
Kavinsky was not aware of all of Mordred's motivation for agreeing to attend with him and if he'd been aware of number two he would have set her straight. He didn't need to find someone. He was perfectly fine just as he was.
Or rather, he would be great once this whole ordeal was over.
But he made a commitment and Kavinsky followed through when he said he would even if he the person he agreed to show up for was no where to be seen, yet.
"Best behavior, Mory." He stated, trying to remain firm. "I know you. I used to be like you." Hell, he was still like her as was. Kavinsky was about to go on and realized what she said,
"There will be no move making on anyone." The idea of such a thing was ridiculous.
The puckish grin that spread across her face could have put even the most mischievous to shame. Who her? Be up to something? Perish the thought. She was nothing if not a paragon of perfection and well behaved manners. Usually. "I know Peitro." She said. "It's hard being perfect. If you try hard enough, I'm sure you can be perfect too again one day." She gave his back a light pat. There there her favorite Russian friend, she knew how hard it was to be just as great as she was. Not everyone could pull it off. "And I am on my best behavior. I mean, I don't even plan to eat nothing but sweets tonight. I'll be eating a few carrot sticks and broccolis from the veggie platters. Scouts honor.”
Said the scout who on occasion commit acts of vigilantism and petty theft.
"And okay. I'll buy it. You won't be making moves on anyone; that's fine." She shrugged before pointing at a woman in the distance. "I'll just go have to make the moves for you. You like brunettes right?" Truthfully, she had no idea what type of a woman her friend liked, which was a shame really. Some girls her age would probably like him, but that was both weird and gross. Older guys might be nice, but somethings were just nasty. Actually, she didn’t want to think of Kavinsky with someone younger. He seemed like he’d want a mature, serious woman. Probably with big tits. That’s what guys went for wasn’t it? Man, she hoped he liked average tits because most ladies she was seeing did not fit the bill.

Robert Banks
The woman he was with seemed disinterested enough, much to Robert’s relief, but as the stern words came pouring out of his host’s (and really, employer’s) mouth, Rob felt the familiar tremble return to his hands.
Fingers continued to grip the chair, holding tighter as his other hand brought the glass back up to his lips. Having swallowed the last of the water right before the couple’s arrival, there was nothing there to greet his mouth.
s**t.
Setting the flute back to the table’s surface, he did his best to keep his chin raised and his eyes focused on the whiskey golden ones of Chase Samuel Black’s as he responded to the less-than-thrilled tone the millionaire had taken to him.
“There were personal matters that I needed to tend to, my apologies sir.” As his hand let go of the flute, the fragile stem came falling down, the empty glass clattering on the table’s top and causing Rob to wince. Great, this was just what he needed. He was already being eyed for failure by his wealthiest client and if he lost this particular name, it could mean trouble with a capital T for the firm, both in reputation and in finances. He couldn’t even keep a glass still, for christ’s sake, much less run his side of the company from a laptop at home.
Leave the law to people talented enough to actually practice it, Robert.
His eyes closed as John Banks’s words came back to haunt him. His father would probably be laughing at him down, mocking him for even trying. Because, really, why did he think he could pull off something like this without a hitch?
Still….
Taking a deep breath, the lawyer exhaled through his nose as a wavering smile found its way back to his face, sunken cheeks all-too obvious.
“I’m back at the office now and assure you that I will see that things get straightened out, sir.”

Priscilla Stratford
As soon as the two men began talking about business, Prissy began losing interest in their conversation. When the glass fell over on the table and the other man looked like a wreck... well. She took a pitying look on the poor buffoon -- er, associate --- of Chase’s and let off a small disapproving sound before parting ways with her boyfriend towards the woman she’d recognized from the crowd.
“You look so beautiful, darling!”
Hands clasped over Regan’s before the quieter girl had a chance to object. The fact Regan hadn’t forgotten her birthday didn’t go unnoticed - in fact, the pinkette seemed absolutely thrilled that it had been remembered. “I’m so glad you could come. Do you like to dance? Have you eaten? Did you want to take a picture?”
Fishing around in her purse, a bedazzled phone covered in pink rhinestones quickly found its way from the depths of her small, dainty bag and she turned the camera application on before facing it towards the both of them.
“You do take selfies, right?” Pressing backwards, almost cheek to cheek, she nudged the other girl before gesturing towards the phone. “Say - Valentine’s!”
Evren looked blankly around... huh the person that her grandmother had set her up with must not have shown up... Ah well. She then opened her bag of treats and put one of them in her mouth. She put her hand to her cheek and smiled. It was so sweet tasting!

Hope this is okay to quote you ;; you didn't seem like you had anyone interacting with your character. Also, I read your post in the charity table one. XD So I am just going from there with this. razz
Accalia walked around, one bag around her arm and the other in her hand. Looking down at one of the corsages she spotted Evren not too far away and she seemed like she wasn't here with anyone, at least not yet. But she didn't happen to see a flower around her wrist either, perhaps she hadn't wanted to get one or couldn't. Or maybe she just hadn't gotten over to do it yet, either way she could at least inquire, but then she noted the addition to her outfit. She saw what she had done there with four of them and was quite impressed by the artistic liberties she had taken there. "Oh, I love your dress and what you did with the flowers." She commented as she approached her with a bright smile. "Is it okay if I join you?" Motioning to one of the empty seats she hoped she'd say yes. She was really wanting to socialize, if even a little bit. Her dress was quite simple but she felt it did the trick enough.
"I'm Accalia, I don't believe I've met you before." She had recently graduated the past Spring so it was likely that they either had gone to different schools or had been in different grades. At least she assumed that the girl was around her age, she didn't look terribly old but then again it was always rude to assume. "What do you think of the event? I love the time and consideration they put into setting it up." She should probably stop now, she was beginning to sound like a chatter box.

For once Jason had plans on Valentine's Day that were actually serious. Up to now he'd spent the day hooking up or celebrating SAD with his best friend. It was a welcome change really. Admittedly he might have gone a little above and beyond with a rented light-pink tux, complete with bowtie and black vans. Of course, it didn't compare to the man standing next to him in his classy yellow tux. Nischal looked amazing in his outfit, he couldn't really take his eyes off the other the whole way to the event.
"Did I tell you how amazing you look tonight?" Jason only smiled, of course he had said those words already, but he was going to keep it up. Just to see the look on Nischal's face as he was complimented. He had even made sure they'd taken several pictures together before even leaving their apartment. And now, he had a tight hold on the others hand as they walked into the ballroom. The decorations were amazing inside and they were cheerily greeted and gifted a bag full of sweets.
Once they were past the greeters and into the actual event, Jason scanned the room. There was a lot they could do, so he turned his attention to Nischal again. "Want to work up an appetite with a bit of dancing?" He wasn't exactly the best at dancing, but he did know that Nischal enjoyed it. Maybe not exactly this formal kind of dance, but they could make it work.
