Her quiet meditation was broken by the plantive cries of 'Fanya' in the distance. For a few moments she tried to block the noise out and focus back on the gentle roar of waves rolling into the beach. After the fifth 'Fanya', it got incredibly more difficult to do so. She screwed her eyes shut and pinned her ears to the back of her head to try and block out the sound. But, it just grew to be more frequent and somehow even louder... so that when Silme finally stumbled upon Fea'alu the blue lioness was a little frazzled.

"I believe if Fanya was here they would have heard you, dear." She added the 'dear' to try and sound kinder. Fea was usually a very pleasant lioness, but there was only so much chaos in her life she could handle before she just wanted to hide somewhere and focus on one thing without interruption. The lioness sucked in a deep breath, willing the frustration out of her body. Let the waves carry it away and leave her in a better place.

"Yes, you have Silme," she told the other with a little smile. "I am Fea'alu, it is a pleasure to formally introduce myself to you." At least the lioness wasn't still screaming 'Fanya' all over the place. Fea enjoyed the quiet company far more than the pointless yelling up and down the beach.

"...Huh, oh, yes. They seem to be quite... upset, if I were to give them an emotion. They're not unpleasant because of it, I actually like watching them roll in."

"Thu~" Came the soft, warm, greeting of a certain mother of the nervous scribe.

Evangeline walked over to sit beside Thulile, licking her own paw and smothing down an unruly hair on her daughter, as both a comforting gesture, and a standard motherly action. Not that the building wind and choppy seas would see that any of their manes stayed in place.

Paya'senja and the glimmering Goddess Kujitia were not late! No! Not at all! It had just....taken them a while to gather all the lovely bobbles Kujitia and the other bouncy lioness had been making. And then they got on a tangent of pearl hunting. The mean waves had been a bit too ca-raaaazy for that. So they made do with what they had. And now a very perky Paya was mouncing about from one member to another distributing shiny things!

Hristil looked at the too-small bracelet Paya had playfully tossed at him, confused, then to the Goddess that calmly followed her.

"What is..." He began.

"For your tail, darling," Kujitia answered, "A little gift to mark this homecoming!"

Of course, Kujitia had been calling this place home a little before this group had arrived, and was surprised when she had emerged from some of the deeper caves to find them all here, but it was a pleasant surprise!

"Oh... I see," Hristil replied, and slipped the small piece of jewelry over his tail tuft.

Kujitia looked pleased, and with a satisfied nod, returned to following Paya'senja as she distributed the gifts.

"Both of you bring up fair points," Faun admitted to both Tafari and Vauhna. Leaving the party really didn't feel right but at the same time what kind of a leader didn't trust the advice of a God and a Noble? He was tired and he wasn't in the right mind to be out and about conducting his duties. A small smile formed on his maw and he nodded.

"You're both right. I need to be more trusting of others and believe in the strength of the pride. The pride will understand if I head off a little early." There was a huge weight that was lifted off of his shoulders in that moment. Faun really felt that he could trust both Tafari and Vauhna's words.

The gray lion got up and stretched before giving a pressing his forehead to Tafari's shoulder and than doing the same to Vauhn's forehead in a symbol of good faith. He didn't feel the need to say anything more as all was communicated in this one gesture of faith. With that he turned his back and headed up towards the caverns where he was sure he'd get a good nights rest. One of the first he'd had in a very long time.

Tirion nodded in agreement as he also thought that family names made things a little more easier. "Manu means departed spirit. I'm unsure when the family name started but I believe it's been around for a long time."

Poetry had the lions attention, "OH! You could write a palm about this evening. It would reflect the feeling of pride for sure. Something beautiful and something that could reflect the relief of no longer being nomadic." He was already starting to write a few lines in his head but nothing he was thinking of seemed to fit. "Whispering whisps... no no that seems sad... " He muttered to himself a bit. It wasn't until he heard mention of the prey pile did he snap out of his thoughts.

"OH." He looked over to Nsundu, "It does seem important as a scribe we at least taste the food."

Fanya looked down at the markings on his front paws and felt a swell of pride. It wasn't every day he got a compliment on his markings, "T-thank you. I like them too. Oh and your mane is really cool," Fanya liked the vibrant glow it seemed to give the lion.

"Amare is a nice name too. Oh yeah. I don't believe we got your name," Fanya looked over at Renshu with an inviting smile.

Niite'Manu let out another one of her hardy laughs.

"You guys don't all have A names? Well that is a relief. I suppose us lions and gulls have a lot to learn from one another." She took a moment to take a breath from laughing and talking.

"Oh? Well maybe we are blessed than. We'll have to make this celebration louder!" She stamped her feet on the ground attempting to make some kind of rhythm.

Meztli chuckled when the other lioness agreed that he was, in fact, a funny looking lion despite Kamit's protests. She couldn't help but have an image in her head of the gazelle with a thick lions mane and it made her chuckle even more.

"Oh how very rude. My name is Meztli. May I ask yours? I take it that you're Kamit," She gestured to the gazelle and looked at the other lioness with intent.

She was offered something for her 'illness' and had to laugh at the back and forth banter between the two. She grinned.

"It's probably best not to lie," She admitted, "But you could soften the sell by saying something like you don't care for it but maybe the other you're offering it to would care for it?" Meztli shrugged it was a sloppy attempt to meet both half way.

"Actually... Something ... feels off." She looked worried once more.

The added dear was enough to hide any annoyance for Silme. She was happy to sit beside this other lioness and watch the waves while she listened. Her voice was a bit sore from yelling as loud as she had been and there was still the matter that Fanya had yet to be found despite her efforts.

"I suppose you're right. He would have answered. At least he better answer..." There was a tinge of annoyance at the tail end of her statement, "He better not have run off to hide or something. He always does this." The grumbling was and ill disguise of a sibling missing their kin.

"Fea'alu." Silme repeated the name to help herself remember the others name in case she'd ever need it. "It really is a pleasure to meet you formally. I am glad you're not super annoyed that I thought you might be Fanya." Silme laughed. She was horrible at reading others.

"I see what you mean." Now that it was brought to her attention she could see the sprays of water almost seemed angry. Was it possible for sea waves to be angry.

"Do you think the lands are upset with us? We haven't even fully moved in yet."

Nilak's attention was pulled away from the conversation he was having with the Lady lioness and Scribe lion to a sight of a goddess with lioness bouncing about delivering some very pretty goods. He couldn't help but start to pad in their direction but he paused for a moment and looked back at the other two.

"Well come on. Let's go see." He than continued making his way towards Paya, Kujitia and Hristil with a look of curiosity.

"That is a really intriguing tail bracelet. May I ask," He turned to the goddess, "What materials you favor?" Nilak could not pass up an opportunity to learn more about the world around him especially when different minerals were involved.

SOME BAD WEATHER AHEAD

1-6: The wind starts to pick up and the waves are more aggressive. Rain goes from a misting to a good sprinkle. The change is noticeable but not unsettling.
7-9: The wind starts to pick up and the waves are more aggressive. Rain goes from a misting to big fat rain drops. The change is noticeable but not unsettling. It is more uncomfortable to be on the beach but the lions are used to getting a little wet.
10: The wind starts to pick up and the waves are more aggressive. It is full on pouring. It is impossible not to notice this change and some lions may retreat back to the caverns.

Nilak, she'd remember that. It was one of those interesting sounding names. "The food is pretty grand, I have no complaints there. What about Vas?" He gave a shake of his head.

She was about to say something when their attention was stolen away by the goddess and the trinkets they were passing about.

"Oh yes, let's go see." She said with mild curiosity. Vasilios on the other paw had never met a Goddess before and was quite thrilled to see her and the other God's in their midst.

"This is fascinating indeed!"

Ren glanced uncertainly between the two, though he had relaxed a bit at their conversation. Especially at Amare's assurance that he would help keep others away. That was certainly preferable to random lions and lionesses coming up to him to chat. He would rather deal with just two people then dozens.

At their introductions, he glanced bashfully down at his paws, "I'm Renshu," and then he looked back up to stare curiously at Amare's mane, "You really do have a colorful mane. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it." That was the scholar in him talking now. Socially stunted as he was, he did love to see new things.

But then his attention was grabbed by a rain drop on his nose. Scrunching it, he gave a tiny sneeze, not so much because he needed to sneeze but more because the sensation had caught him off guard. Casting a glance up, he stared at the cloudy sky and wondered if it was about to rain. Ah well, a few rain drops weren't the worse thing in the world.

Abiondun fluffed her feathers and rolled her eyes at her fellow seagull who was ready to pledge to serve the lions for the rest of his life, as they joked about their young eating them. She raised her wings in a shrug at the new black lion who appeared and again made the cub eating them a joke, she didn't find it as funny but she didn't comment. Since she was much smaller then most creatures being killed was quite possible. Some seagulls went out to sea and did not return being eaten by the lions of the sea sharks. She felt the wind and rain come and it didn't bother her it was just part of life. "We shall see how our relationship forms, but I do not see why we can not both our peoples live on this beach, clearly Arestos already loves you all." She said eyeing him and his willingness to give his life for these lions they had just met.

Kamau walked onto the beach the rain was coming down and the wind picking up, he wasn't too worried about it, he had traveled a long way to seek out a home and had finally found it so he wasn't planning to complain about a little rain. The mating couple seemed to have a lot of attention right now so Kamau decided to wait till some of the others wandered off before he went over to congratulate them on their marriage. He looked for a more quiet spot on the beach to lay down and watch the others celebrate. Since happiness and strength was something he kept deep inside his being a quiet one.

Samedi listened as his now wife questioned the gulls about their culture and the history of these beaches. So they had been the first ones to settle here? While that was exciting to say in the least, it was also.. Worrying? Sure, the beaches and caverns were rather secluded due to the slippery rocks that barricaded it off from the mainland, but how had no one, aside from the sea creatures and gulls, managed to find this place? It seemed... Peculiar. It was something to look in to, that was for sure. Sam noted in his head to talk to Niite about this conundrum at a later point for the two of them to investigate. For now though, he kept it to himself.

"Don't worry, gulls. Our cubs will not eat you. They may playfully chase you and perhaps need to learn that you're not actual prey, but that comes with having newborns that simply don't know any better."

Not a moment after Sam finished his statement, a huge gust of wind came sweeping in, beating itself against his side. Had the wind suddenly picked up? It must have. His yellow eyes looked out at the sea and sure enough, it had turned to a more aggressive state. That was when some fat drops of water began to splash against his nose, making him wince with how sudden it was, his yellow eyes now peering up at the darkened skies.

"The weather is starting to turn. We haven't faced this yet." His gaze turned to Niite, her paws stomping away at the silver sands. "I think our celebration is going to be cut short, dear. It's not bad yet, but it is getting there." He peered back out to the sea, watching the waves smash against each other as though cubs were roughing around.

Thu jumped ever so slightly at the voice of another. While she should of known that someone was bound to spot her, even while hiding behind a rock, she still hadn't been expecting it. Her hide scroll dropped from her mouth and she quickly dove to catch it, clutching it tightly to her pale body. "H-Hello..." She gave the lioness a very nervous smile, light purple hair flopping over one of her eyes, her shyness immediately taking forefront.

In the very moment she had suddenly met a lioness with whom she was not familiar with, that very same moment greeted her with one she had not seen in... Years. Her own mother. Thulile shot up the moment she heard her name. Not many others here knew it yet, but that was a fact that she didn't mind. "M-M... Mom?" Her maroon eyes brightened up as the lioness sat down next to her, doing her usual mom thing and grooming her hair. "Moooom...", she whined, shaking her head ever so slightly, the harshening winds pushing her hair out of place for her. "I... I didn't know you were here. W-With us."

Thulile looked to the lioness that had approached her just moments before her mother had, giving her a very shy and embarrassed smile, still keeping her precious hide clutched safely to her body.

Standing there in all his self centered pride and glory, Lhun scoffed as absolutely no one payed any mind to his grand entrance upon the silver beaches. His brow furrowed and he grumbled. Did these lions not know a noble when they saw one?? Surely that was a problem that needed to be rectified! However, that was also a problem that he didn't want to get into on a day such as today. He wouldn't hear the end of the scolding if he were to break up this grand celebration. There would have to be another time when he would make make his presence known to all. It was definitely something to talk to Faun about, but seeing as he just caught him leaving the grounds, another time was better.

A shiny glint caught his eye as two beautiful lioness had also entered the scene. They appeared to be giving away tokens or trinkets of some sort. Curious and completely ignoring the turning events of the weather, the blue male shook his head, his fluffy mane repositioning itself. It wouldn't last for long, but he had to make sure he looked good! Padding over, he noticed that the white beauty had wings. Small wings, but wings. One of the goddesses that took a notice in their pride along their travels no doubt! Lhun swelled with excitement.

"Hello my dears! I am Lord Lhun'Fán! It is such a pleasure and honor to meet you both!"

"I am sure when he is ready, he will find you," Fea assured the other lioness. Either this Fanya was out of earshot, or he badly did not want to be found by Silme. The end result was the same - Fanya would show up when Fanya wanted to, and would probably be scolded quite a bit by the female sitting beside her now. "Sometimes the best thing you can do is sit in one spot and wait."

The smile on Fea's face was enough to hide the fact that she had been a little annoyed by all the yelling, but she was happy to let that annoyance slip into the past. The future awaited her, and presently, the conversation was enjoyable. Silme's voice was far more pleasant when it wasn't being torn raw by all that yelling. Quieter, softer tones were far more suited for her companion, she thought. "The pleasure is mine," she purred softly.

The waves captivated her, even as the weather started to take a turn for the worse she held her ground. Fat rain drops wet her fur, making her usually fluffy appearance very sleek and almost sad. One could thing she was lonely in this setting, if not for the ever present smile upon her features. The waves were drawing closer, but she would not yet bow to them. "Even if the land is, this is our home now. It cannot drive us out, but I am sure in time there will be harmony between us. Do you think the weather now means it's angry?"

Kujitia Beconed Paya over as Nilak asked her a question.

"The local quartz, mainly. That stone alone comes in so many colors, it's an easy to find substitute than the more rare gems. I don't mind cracking open the occasional clam or oister for pearls, from time to time either. Why, if someone could find a way to farm them to grow the pearls, it would certainly make the job easier. Oh! I'm rambling, pardon me!" The goddess chuckled.

"Here!" Paya'senja chirped, and held a similar tail ring out, balanced on her nose. She almost dropped it when Lord Lhun'Fán came over announcing himself.

Kujitia turned to face Lhun and greeted him with a warm smile, "Ah! Lord Lhun'Fán! It is indeed a pleasure!" she greeted him, then to Paya said, "My dear," then whispered, "the thing, please!"

"Right away!" Paya said, and tail rings seemed to fly everywhere ( "you get a tail ring and youuuu get a tail ring, everyone gets a tail ring!" ) as the energetic lioness ran to retrieve something. She returned with a ring of driftwood with, by whatever magic the goddess possessed, gems upon it. It was a crown of sorts. Or circlet. Something like that!

"What is a lord without their crown?" Kujitia said, as Paya presented the gift. She had made each lord and lady a crown, and the high lord an even mooore impressive one. It was a far cry from the tail rings everyone else was getting, but she had such a short time to prepare!

The white blessed goddess had addressed him. Him! Personally! Lhun's heart and ego instantly swelled, big fat rain drops splashing down upon his face. The wind continued to whip around his fluffy mane poofs, but they continuously bounced back into place, looking like bright clouds bouncing along a blue skyline. It was a shame that the lion himself was so pompous, because his looks were quite regal.

"The thing?" No sooner than he had asked, a crown made of driftwood and sparkling gems was presented to him, the odd tail ring flying by from the other lioness. Lhun's eyes instantly lit up, his maw falling agape. "Oh my..." He eagerly took the ring of driftwood and placed it upon his head, shaking his poofy white mane into place. "It is perfect! It is about time that my Lordship was recognized! Thank you, goddess!" The ecstatic blue male shook his head gingerly, listing to the strings of jewels jingle back and forth. After his cub-like nature subsided, he struck a pose, putting on a delightfully coy smile. "I am Lord Lhun'Fán of the Mirilli'tavari!"

He was all too proud of this circlet the goddess had gifted to him.

Abiondun looked at the lions surely they could handle a little bit of water and wind right? "Where are you living?" She asked the lions curiosity in her tone. Her flock lived in the cliffs so they had no shelter from the rain and winds unless your nest was in a spot that had rocks that blocked the rains and winds those were tricky to get since every seagull wanted those for their nesting spots. She blinked as the goddess started giving out gifts since she had only tail feathers treasures such as that were not something she could wear and the goddess was giving gifts to the lions. The seagull flock did not belong to the lions unless perhaps they wished for the seagulls to aid them as Arestos had offered of himself. She thought about it and then she looked at the lions if they had cave homes agreeing to be bound to the lions as their flock might not be a bad idea.

Kamau looked on curiously as the goddess gave out many gifts, he took a tail ring, he was no lord and would wear no crown he was a guard and he was content in that being his life. He might one day strive for a high position as a guard but he did not wish to be something else. Kamau wanted to protect others. It was a simple wish, but he was a simple lion and didn't have lofty goals. Perhaps some would find that boring, he found it a comfort that he knew what he wanted and had all he needed.

Nilak was so fascinated by the the jewelry being handed out and happily put a ring on his tail that he barely noticed the increase of the rain.

"Pearls you say? I'm not as familiar with those but I know my quartz," He was quite proud of his knowledge of minerals, "I must say this is exquisite work. I never thought that you could shape minerals in to something so beautiful. Astounding."

Already there were ideas spawning in the Crystal Healers mind of ways to include jewelry in to his craft. He would most likely approach Paya and Kujitia later.

'The thing' was mentioned and a crown was placed upon one of the nobels heads. Nilak had to admire the craftmanship from afar. There was a trance of sparkly gleam in his eyes as he watched Lhun dawn 'the thing'. The excitement was almost too much with all the ideas piling up in the lions head.

"Vas look at 'the thing'..." He wandered over to Lhun and got up real close to inspect it. This behavior could be categorized as invasive as Nilak didn't always have the best social manners.

Before Fanya could even think about saying anything he felt some fat thick drops of rain fall upon his head. The lion frowned deeply. Despite having gray cloud markings on his front paws Fanya wasn't a lover of the rain or being overly wet. Being used to a thing didn't mean you liked the thing.

"It is a really nice mane but it's going to be sopping wet mess soon." He grumbled. The lions mild manner had shifted a tad to something of annoyance yet he wasn't ready to go back to the caverns just yet. Off to the distance he was enjoying watching the whole party unfold. A newly wed couple along with a goddess handing out gifts of jewelry the who event was one that Fanya had to admit was interesting. He wanted to write about it later. After all, it was the job of a scribe to write things down.

Niite'Manu studied the female seagull for a moment. She wasn't exactly sure what the gull was thinking but maybe the cubs eating gull joke had been in poor taste. Instead of bringing up any more fun facts about cubs and gulls she opted to nod in agreement with her mate and not say anything.

Rain. It was coming down in thick drops now and no longer was a misting. Niite didn't seem too bothered by the sudden change.

"It's not like we're gonna melt," She assured Sam, "If the rain wants to come down let it come down. I don't mind."

Silme sighed because Fea was absolutely right about Fanya.

"I suppose, " Was muttered with a hint of defeat. If her brother wanted to be found he'd show up eventually. The gray lionesses thoughts couldn't help but focus on Fanya and where he was even as the weather was shifting for the worse. There was a fact that Silme was not considering and that was she needed Fanya more than he needed her some times. The lionesses mind shot back in to reality when Fea commented on the weather and asked a question.

Brilliant green eyes blinked as she processed this thought.

"Angry? I don't know if it's even aware that we're here. Sides what is a bit of water to us any ways," Silme frowned, "Do.. Do you think it's angry we moved in?" Now that she was thinking about it the lioness wasn't as sure as her original statement.

Tinta was among the group of lions that had gathered around the goddess to accept her gifts of tail rings.

"This is gorgeous thank you so much," She bowed her head as she accepted one of the tail rings. The lioness turned her head to a male and she smiled. " Aren't these amazing? What a great gathering... Aside from the rain I suppose. But I don't mind. Names Tinta by the way ~" The cadence to her speech was very quick and excited. Tinta was very excited to be here in the celebration with her pride.

Kito couldn't help but laugh a little bit at the sight of the mother greeting the daughter. It was nice, to see a mother treat their offspring as if they were a cub, even if they physically were not. Kito remembered her friend had done it too, with her cubs. She decided she would do the same, if cubs were ever to come into her path.

"Thu, I'm Kito," she said, giving the other lioness a nod of support. Her parents might no longer be around to dote on her like the lioness's was, but that didn't mean she couldn't appreciate the embarrassment that they could give.

Kito watched the shore as the waves grew. "The weather is taking a turn, do you think?" she asked both of them.

Nsundu listen to the other two discussing ideas for what they might record. He had his own ideas too, though he didn't feel like sharing them. Certainly, it was more important to do, rather than to talk about doing. Nsundu was concentrating on capturing as much of what was going on in his mind as he could. What he would recall later, he didn't know, but he knew it would paint a picture of this event, and that was what he would write.

Tirion's suggestion of food made his ears perk. "Hmm, yes, I suppose that is good reasoning..."

Nsundu found himself agreeing with his fellow scribe. He motioned to both lions to follow him to the meal. A strong gust of wind blowing back his mane and spraying it with sea water.

Arestos seemed to become more amused by the lions, finding them fascinating. He had never really met one before, and since they weren't currently trying to eat him, he relaxed. When the loud female lioness began to stomp her feet and the rain became heavier, the gull flapped his wings and slapped his webbed feet on the ground in a rhythm. He gave a squawk and ruffled all his feathers as the rain began coming down, rolling right off his back. He looked up at the other gun and gave a laugh. "This is fun."

Fannar was standing near the caves on the outskirts of the celebration. The painfully shy lioness could hear her bond sister Niite shouting and celebrating. She was happy for her, but there were just so many bodies that Fannar couldn't make herself go and congratulate Niite. There were no mists here for her to hide in, and even in the increasing rain and darkness, Fannar had never been able to shake the feeling of being exposed.

The lioness huffed and lay herself down on a rock ledge, ignoring the damp and watching the rest of the pride closely.
