Eternal Sailor AcubensCharacter HP: 70/70 Madness Meter: 15/50 Step Counter: 36/30 "Not to worry boss, I was in worse shape than this when I turn Dark Mirror." She didn't think it was a lie... but it had been so long ago that it was hard to verify as truth. It was easier to accept it. It rationalized her current actions. She continued her reassurance with a bubbly tone that belied her unease at her current situation. "Besides," she ribbed with an impish grin, "you expect me to just ignore another Dark Mirror's call for help? Come on, you know that's not how this works." She knew precious little about Mintaka, to be sure, but she was one of her own. And Acubens held that in very high esteem. Mintaka was in need and Acubens was at least moderately able to help. She wouldn't be tackling anyone, that was for sure. But she would throw rocks again in a heart beat. When she got to a door, Acubens stopped, breathing perhaps a little too hard for the minor exertion of her walk. Of course she ignored it and examined the etchings on the walls. Anything of interest went into the notebook in her arms. She even went so far as to take rubbings of the dark mirror senshi carved in the rock. it was too late when she realized that she was in very real danger of triggering a trap just by touching something, and pulled away with a sharp intake of breath which she held, waiting for something to happen.

Sailor Laverna
Character HP: 50/50 Madness Meter: 10/50 Step Counter: 14/30
No this was very much NOT the castle of crystal they had been trapped in for a week. This was something...odd.
Laverna had landed and began to walk down the pathway of nothing but mirrors. Her hand had reached out as she walked, running along the reflective piece as she slowly followed them. "Well this suits a place called Mirrorspace." Laverna mused to herself before noticing something out of the corner of her eye.
Stopping, Laverna turned quickly on her heels and looked back at the reflection of herself...on the wrong mirror.
Stepping forward, the mirror self went back a mirror but watched her every move.
"What the hell..."

Acubens and Remarque have activated the Mirror Trap
The door is a intricately woven door, made of a mix of different woods. It's clear what is on there, wraiths that were contained and ornate handles that looked much like Pandora's box. It whispers at the pair, a sweet lulling sound.
As Acubens hand traced over the dark mirror etchings, they suddenly come to life, a horrendous battle played out before them. Wood bristled, Marble cracked and glass shattered. The walls oozed a black blood, dripping onto the floor until it was a puddle, then spread even further.
It circled around the pair, reaching for their ankles. They were unable to move. From the puddle formed a body shape mass, reaching a small tentacle out to them. It didn't seem like the creature would be easily fought off though.Quote: OOC NOTE: In order to break the ooze off, you must use a super or higher magical attack!

She could see them in the mirrors as they came through. She could see battered and broken, even some that were not prepared for such a task like this. All of them were coming for her. The labyrinth shook, pieces of the walls crumbling around the ones traversing the maze, The small earthquake would pass but there was not a eerie sort of mist covering the floor. It seemed the closer they got to the door, the more the labyrinth attempted to turn them away. In the mist is a small voice, not Mintaka's but someone that matters to you. Someone that you recently have seen or become friends with. SOMEONE who you would not think would make such an impact. They whisper to you to turn away, to go home. Save yourself. Do you heed the call?

Eternal Sailor Tantalus Character HP: 80/80 Madness Meter: 10/50 Step Counter: 16/30
Tantalus picked and chose his steps carefully, one eye always on the bank of mirrors that made up the wall next to him. He knew he was moving slowly, but he hesitated to rush forward -- there was too much to be afraid of.
It was almost an accident that he touched the mirror, and watched as a reflection formed a step behind him.
"What fresh hell," Tantalus breathed to himself, and then he started jogging forward, eyes flickering over and watching as the reflection trailed behind, behind...
That sohuldn't be happening. There was something in there he needed, and he needed this to come back to him.
It vanished, and he felt like he had been punched in the chest. No, no, this was wrong, he needed to see it back, no --
It was happening again, he realized. Whatever had infected Mintaka, infected those shards, was getting to him too.
Worse was the outpouring of mist, the tiny sound of -- of all people -- Rhys..
"Come home, Alistair," he whispered. "Turn back, you know this isn't safe."
Tantalus stilled and closed his eyes, pressing a hand to his face.
"I can't," he said, just as softly. "I can't abandon someone who needs help. You would've known that, once."

Super Sailor Elsa Character HP: 60/60 Madness Meter: 5/50 Step Counter: 27/30
Elsa kept walking, eyes cautiously on the mirrors next to him as he went. He could see the grand door in front of him now, barely a few steps away -- and he wanted to press forward, towards it, but --
There was a voice. A soft one, the quiet sound of the Senshi he'd met when she attacked him in Altea's palace. He didn't know her name, but he knew her voice.
"Come on, Elsa," she said (had he told her his name? Had there been time?) "You know you don't need to be here. It's not safe. Come back out, don't risk your life again."
He spun around, looking to see if she was there, but -- no, no lavender pigtails.
"What," he said, mostly to himself. Was this place screwing with him?
Probably.

Sailor SadalsuudCharacter HP: 49/50 Madness Meter: 25/50 Step Counter: 35/30 The whispers had continued to follow her as Sadalsuud continued down a path that seemed endless, the whispers warning her to turn away, the voice small but familiar–
Very familiar in fact - familiar enough that she found herself pausing to look around for the girl from college who had introduced herself as Annie - Annie Watkins...
But Annie knew nothing of her life as Sadalsuud and so her voice being here was impossible wasn't it?
Wasn't it?
And whilst she didn't want to push on alone, Miss Kitten was still out there somewhere and Sadalsuud didn't want to leave the cute little black cat on her own.
"Miss Kitten!" And almost as if in answer Sadalsuud finally spotted what appeared to be an end to the path, something just up ahead beyond it.
Something... Something that looked almost to be a door.
"Miss Kitten!" And she found herself calling out again even as she tried to walk a little faster towards it.
Although fast was 'relative' as Sadalsuud found herself feeling tired and a little weak...
Although perhaps it was just the path - yes it had to be the path and once she was finally off it then hopefully she would find Miss Kitten and the tiredness would go away.xxxPixie Nyxie hope it's okay to backfill the posts this way Nyx as Sadal rolled the path made of mirrors 3 times

Eternal Sailor AcubensAt first Acubens didn't really register that anything was happening. It was so strange and utterly otherworldly that her mind just kind of... let it go. For a split second she stood, looking almost entranced by the scene unfolding before her. However, reason broke that spell and she reacted as in on instinct, stumbling backward to escape the ooze until something caught on her leg. Again, it took her a moment to recognize what had happened in the first place, but once she did her magic acted almost before she did. "Velociraptor Endow," she nearly, stuttered, unable to bask in the warm glow of her magic before she slashed at the tentacle wrapped around her ankle. It broke against the attack and Acubens growled at the remains of what had traied to ensnare her. Well now she was making it her personal mission to punch every single thing behind that door in the face. She just had to get through. "What do you think, Rem," she asked her partner, "you didn't happen upon a key in mirrorspace, did you?" Character HP: 70/70 Madness Meter: 15/50 Step Counter: 36/30 Pixie Nyxie I think I can try to open the door now... let me know if I messed up...

Prince Remarque
Character HP: 80/80 Madness Meter: 0/50 Step Counter: 31/30
Remarque didn’t seem particularly pleased with how eager she seemed to be when brushing off her injuries, but he didn’t deny that when a Dark Mirror Senshi asked for help, he always tried to do what he could. When they reached the door, Remarque examined what he could, but before he could question what Acubens was doing, something happened.
The whispering put him immediately on edge, no matter how sweet it might have sounded.
His eyes followed the movement in the room, and while he had been moderately interested in the etchings that came to life, he wasn’t quite sure it was a good enough show to warrant the dark slime that had begun to seep from the walls.
“Acubens,” he exclaimed, exasperated. “Do you have to touch everything?”
He didn’t have time for this.
The gelatinous mass was not a creature he had dealt with before but it didn’t mean he had any reservations with destroying it—if he could. Right now, he couldn’t move away from where it had gripped him; he wanted to return the favor.
He summoned his super magic and strings descended on the strange new opponent; they gripped at whatever mass they could find, squeezing, but Remarque didn’t stop with just magic. He hurled his fist at the living puddle and pummeled it with more force than he needed to.
He was vaguely aware of a mist rolling in, or the strange rumblings of Mirrorspace in the distance, but all it did was fuel his need to go.
He didn’t have a key; he’d found plenty of strange things in Mirrorspace, but never anything useful.
So, with a huff of annoyance, he kicked the door with as much strength as he could manage—before something else could try and stop them from moving forward.

Sailor Logos
"Logos, you're wasting your time."
The cadet stopped in her tracks, barely dodging some of the mirrored walls that were crumbling in places. The mist covered her ankles and made things difficult to judge - without a floor to see, how was Logos supposed to know where was safe to step? If she was crushed here, she couldn't return home.
It was then that she heard a familiar voice and turned to find Laverna, one of her comrades, chastising her. She stood among the mist, as if she was there all along. How did Logos miss seeing her? It didn't make sense... Logos was ashamed for missing something so obvious. Was Laverna there the whole time? No... Logos would have seen her. ....right? They weren't particularly close (though, the cadet didn't consider herself close to anyone in particular, save for Lesath). Why was Laverna here?
"You're wasting your time. You're just a cadet. Why do you think you can do anything? Leave this to the eternals and the royals. You're just a baby. Go home, let them handle this."
Logos stood straight and regarded the hooded senshi, her comrade, someone she thought had a good head on her shoulders. She paused for a moment before replying, "...with all due respect, Laverna, how can I help the Court if I don't present myself when the need arises?"
Laverna shifted her weight, tilting her head. There was a sly smile in her eyes, though Logos couldn't see her mouth through the mask. "There are things we can't help with. This is one of those things."
The dark-skinned senshi clenched her fist. "...I just... I can't just leave. If I'm to become stronger, I can't just leave."
A laugh echoed through the labyrinth, Logos finding herself uneasy. "...then you'll die. I hope you know that."

Super Sailor Juliet Character HP: 59HP/60HP Madness Meter: 20/50 Step Counter: 41
No voice said anything to her. Not any voice she acknowledged, anyways. Juliet was close to nobody; all she did, would ever do, was dispassionately move through life like she was underwater. (It was her own voice, inside of her head, that was the closest she could place it; go back, turn away, they have no need of you here, you have no use for them. They were only thoughts. She paid no attention to them.)

Sailor Hydrus Character HP: 50/50 Madness Meter: 15/50 Step Counter: 18/30
He moved on and ignored the whispers in the background. He knew madness drenched this area, and he knew he was easily susceptible to it. Hydrus rubbed his arms, feeling the crystal that was slowly going again, and the discoloration below it.
The path wound its way through the Mirrorscape and he followed it, apprehensive. He brushed a mirror and a replica of himself oozed out of it. He stared at it, who stared back. There was a fair moment of staring and then Hydrus simply walked past, leaving it be.
It followed him, eventually vanishing. Guardian Kitten Haymitch Character HP: 50/50 Madness Meter: 5/50 Step Counter: 22/30
Haymitch trotted along, looking for anyone or anything. His travels were relatively uneventful though, and he started chattering to himself again. Oh boy oh boy, this was fun! And exciting! and just....
Okay it was boring and long and his paws were starting to hurt and Haymitch just wanted to find Mintaka and go hoooome. He was behind on his letters and naps and he was missing that great plate of tuna fish the elderly mail clerk left out for this!

Juliet and Haymitch have triggered a mirror trap!
As Juliet neared the door of the labyrinth, she would notice the small kitten Haymitch. Though something was terrible off about the kitten. He was getting bigger and bigger and bigger, almost the size of a large house. Footsteps would rattle the hallway she walked.
Haymitch on the other hand, would see Juliet who was getting smaller and smaller, and every one of his steps needed to be placed with care. Otherwise he would crush the smaller senshi.
OOC NOTES Generate a random number from 1 to 10. If Juliet has a higher number then Haymitch, she safely makes it from under the kitten and he returns to normal size. If Haymitch rolls higher, Both will suffer a hp loss of 10HP. Haymitch accidentally almost steps on the senshi but a something stops him. It feels a lot like pins and needles for both of them before the pain disappears and they are both set to their normal size.

Guardian Kitten Haymitch Character HP: 50/50 Madness Meter: 5/50 Step Counter: 22/30
Haymitch tilted his head at the senshi across the way, wondering why she was so tiny. He knew he was tiny - he was a kitten after all - but she couldn't be that tiny...
He towered over the senshi and had to step really carefully to not squeesh her under his paws.
"I don't want to squish you!" he said, his usually rather high pitched voice very very deep. And loud. So loud it kinda scared him and Haymitch pressed his ears to his head and cowered just a little.
But only a little.
