"Damn. I was hoping that someone else had heard something other than that now that he's back in town." He groaned, shaking his head as he tucked his card away in order to brush fingers through his hair. It would be easy enough to leave it at that, to just continue walking without touching on the other subject that he'd brought up. Did Arachne really want to know about what was going on in his personal life? Or was he just asking to be polite?

"I thought she might have been purposefully vague with me to get back at me for not telling her about things with her cousin sooner."

"It's something neither of them seems to want to say too much about, but..." It also wasn't something that you could force people to talk about. You couldn't make them open up or admit anything to one another. It was far easier to just be supportive when one could, offering an open ear when one was needed.

He'd continued walking on as they spoke, turning around only when he'd realized that Arachne had stopped to stare behind him. "Past few months now," he nodded, taking another slow step backwards while still facing the senshi. "Still dunno exactly how it happened, but... It did. We decided we weren't going to tell anyone about it until we were sure it was something both of us wanted, just so neither of us had to get a lecture from Corvus."

"Looks like he's somewhere between eighteen and twenty now-- definitely legal." He managed a smirk of his own, finally turning back around as Arachne caught up to him again. "There are a number of things that put a smile on his face now, and he's nice enough that he can schmooze his way into a photo gig." Among other things.

"Sometimes it's still crazy thinking that we've all grown up, though-- seeing how far we've come and the types of people we've grown into. It's hard to believe we were all kids when all of this s**t started."

"He did. Tried to put as much space between himself and this place as he could for a while-- not that I can blame him, or anyone else that has done the same." It was all a lot to take in, and much easier for Senshi and Knights to get away as none of them had anyone keeping track of all of them or anyone to report to. It wasn't like leaving the Negaverse behind, where being AWOL for too long always carried the risk of being hunted down.

"Our mutual friend played her cards a little dirty to get him back here; told him that something had happened and he needed to come back home, but didn't tell him what." Once more he shook his head, fingers lingering in his hair for a moment before his hand dropped back down to his side. "It's still wrong to drag kids into this fight. At least some of us are trying to make a difference in the way they learn now."

"From the things I've managed to gather about you senshi lot, no one wants to listen because everyone wants their chance to shine. Can't be assed to follow a good suggestion, everyone has their thoughts on what will or won't work and the concept of 'team work' is, in general, so foreign that one might think it came from another planet." Of course, he had yet to see any of that in action from any side that he could remember. Most of it was passed down things he'd overheard either one of the cousins saying when discussing training and tactics.

"Just the teens? Or have you been having troubles other than that?" He grinned, recalling very briefly hearing mention of a blonde haired senshi with a hard head.

The idle chatter continued as they completed a round of patrol around the park. It came back to him quickly how easy conversation flowed with Lysander once the two of them got to talking. It felt good to laugh while talking with the other man, better knowing that they were capable of talking like this with one another again after all they'd been through.

When they made it back to their starting point he paused, looking over to the Senshi of Spiders. "So now that you know how to get in touch with me... We should do this again sometime. Doesn't even have to be a patrol. It'd be nice to have a chance to catch up on the other side of things sometime too."
