Noah made a startled sound that was somewhere between a yelp and a growl as the owl he was grabbing became, very suddenly, a thin, pale man. He let go as Lawr lashed out at him and jumped back. Laz snarled in fury as claws cut into Noah, and briefly, hunter and weapon were in tight accord as Noah summoned. The bone-edged saw materialized in his hand.

Unlike Al, he didn't strike immediately, though. He said tightly, still furious, "I said get out. I don't care if it's through the window or the door, but get out. There's two of us and one of you and you decided to come in here and be an a*****e. You're not welcome." The question of how the hell the man could become an owl was tabled for the moment in favor of getting him out of their room.

Lawrence found his attack frustrated by Al's whacking him with a stick and hissed irritably through his teeth.

He untangled himself from Noah, Butch's white runes blazing, the dog snarling rabidly in his mind, wild with the smell of what he perceived as other canines in the room and bred to fight them.

"Then don't touch me." he said. "And call off your stupid bit on the side."

He moved towards the window, swiping at Al cattily as he went though the long blades going well wide. "And both of you keep away from my son."

Al de-bristled as soon as he realized it was just Lawr. "... what?" He looked at Noah and then Lawr again. There was only one thing they all seemed to agree on in this mess at least and that was that Lawr needed to leave.

Well, all but Nuru who still wanted a fight and was barking and snarling in Al's thoughts. He could almost hear the scrabbling of claws from the black dog thrashing about.

Tear him limb from limb, the weapon encouraged.

Noah blinked, somewhat thrown off by Lawr's final comment. Was that what all this had been about? He started to say something, then shut his mouth and just scowled at Lawr, staring stonily at him and waiting for him to leave.

BITE HIM, Laz snarled. HE ATTACKED US. The zombie dog had been unsettled by the intrusion, and he was livid at the attack, trying to yank at Noah's mind to pull him to aggression.

No. Noah wasn't going to desummon till Lawr left, but he held firm. I'm not fighting him in here. I just want him out.

Lawrence smirked at Noah, snubbing Al now he he was no longer under attack. Something about the smug look said I know where you both live.

"Consider yourselves warned."

He moved to the window proper, glanced out briefly and then did what looked like a swan dive out into the night, only a dive that was followed by the flutter of a barn owl swooping back up above the line of sight of the window frame before it vainished off into the night, leaving only a feather which spiraled back into the room behind him.

Al watched as Lawr jumped out their window and took flight. He came up behind Noah to make sure Lawr disappeared into the inky black sky before sighing loudly.

"Melvin is so going to give me s**t for someone jumping out our window." He noted the feather left behind and cautiously picked it up for closer inspection. "Promise me you wont tell him?" He asked distractedly while holding the feather upside down to check the other side of it.

"Does this look like it might have dark magic or something to you?" He offered it to Noah for inspection.

Noah closed the window firmly, snapped the latch shut, and pulled the curtains closed for good measure, scowling fiercely. Al got a slightly confused look at the comment about Melvin. "Why would I tell him?"

He took the feather, holding it between his thumb and finger like it was a dirty sock. "I'd put it in the office shredder except I think it might break the shredder," he grumbled. "Ugh. Was that, do you think that was all about us sleeping with Mik?"

"I have no doubt that was entirely about sleeping with Mik," Al confessed with mild irritation. He slunk over and slid his arms around Noah's middle, his anger irresistible. "I can't believe you were about to just kick an owl's a** like that." But then some sense of reason leeched in, throwing a bit of ice water on the situation.

He nuzzled his chin along the top of Noah's shoulder and rested his head there.
"What should we do about this?"

Noah leaned on Al, his eyebrows still furrowed with his irritation at the whole situation. It had gone from ridiculous to alarming to threatening, but even when Lawr had been threatening them, there was still a touch of the ridiculous about the whole thing. "I wasn't afraid of him," he said, still sounding a little angry. "What are we going to do about it? We'll keep the window closed. I don't think we have to do anything else. Mik dresses like he's young, but he's an adult, he can choose if he wants to hang out with us. Or do anything else."

He hesitated a moment, thinking things over. "The owl has been talked about on Twitter before and Lawrence has never spoken up about it, and I don't know if anyone else knows he's the owl.The way news spreads around here, you'd think people would know if he talked about it at all. So, so maybe it's a secret thing. If he gets snotty about Mik again we can remind him we know he's the owl and see if that's enough to make him shut up." Noah leaned his head against Al's. "Does that, um, does it make sense to you?"
PostPosted: Sun Oct 01, 2017 6:10 pm

"It makes perfect sense," Al confessed. He was a bit surprised by Noah's fire and brimstone about the whole thing. He was absolutely ready to comply because as contrary as he liked to be, this was too close to home. Too close to Noah. But Noah wasn't scared. He was angry. Rightfully so, but angrier than Al had ever seen him.

He gently eased away and over to peek out the window to be sure Lawr was gone before taking a couple paperclips off their desk and using them to clip the curtains closed. He turned towards Noah with a curious look, "are you suggesting we black mail him into leaving us alone?"

"If we have to. And if I'm right about it being a secret, anyway. If it's not then we'll have to figure out something else to make him leave us alone." Noah sat down on the bed, plucking at the edge of his shirt. "I don't like how spiteful he was being about something that's not up to him, and I think he outranks us, which probably means he's stronger. So if he caught one of us alone he could probably beat us in a fight. So just. I hope the owl thing will be enough. Because I'm not going to just obey him," Noah finished, his scowl coming back in full.

Al went over to sit on the bed and leaned over to rest his head in Noah's lap. "I agree. If we gave in on this, then what? Now he has some control over us and - he's not exactly known for knowing when to stop." Al grimaced.

"I don't understand him or what he thought he was going to achieve from this? I mean, shifting back aside. An owl??" Al just sounded baffled by the whole thing. "How?"

"Yeah, he's kind of creepy. I'm not letting him have control over us." Noah ran his fingers through Al's hair, calming himself down slowly.

"I don't know," he said, frowning thoughtfully. "Something his weapon does? No, that doesn't make any sense, I've never even heard of a charge like that. Something else. I have no idea." He shook his head. "I think he just wanted to mess with us? I guess creep us out?"
PostPosted: Sun Oct 01, 2017 7:06 pm

"Well, ******** success then cause I'm duly creeped out." His eyes rolled back at the petting. "Mmm you though, you put a stop to that. I never knew you had that kind of anger in you."

Noah kept petting, and laughed a little, sounding sort of embarrassed. "I don't ... like to get mad," he admitted. "It just feels like, like I'll do stuff. But he was talking about things he didn't know about. I just, it pissed me off."
