If Zane noticed that Terry didn't seem to care (or was it that he didn't think it fit) for the nickname, he didn't show it too busy frowning at the tower who's structure became less and less reliable. He was starting to run out of 'safe' tiles to pluck from and he didn't know how much more creative (or lucky, he was pretty sure this was all luck at this point) he could get.
"Retail?" He asked, green eyes glancing up over the rim of his glasses. "Hey, this economy is s**t. No shame at living at home if you're trying."

"Ah." His nose wrinkled and he tried to picture what type of places he could see Terry working at. He blanked mostly, barely able to picture the most generic of fast food joints.
"Register or as one of the cook people?" The question had just left his tongue when Terry toppled the tower and a dart pegged him in the neck.
Eyes went wide and his hands lifted up like he was surrendering and had to relax and remember that it was part of the game. He rounded the table and prodded his companion, who didn't seem that responsive.
Returning to his side of the table he placed both hands on the surface and squinted at the tower. "There was a word to use...Reparo! No..Uh...constructum!" The tower reverted to the state before Terry messed up.
Okay. He guessed he could go, he needed those points after all. After another successful tile pull, he made himself sit and he stared at T-man unsure of what to do now.
Did he wait? Did he start round 4?

Terry woozily got up to unsteady feet, trying to shake off the serum's effects before having another go. He managed to take what would have been his fourth tile, "I, uh, did you ask me something? For a moment you were an adult from a Charlie Brown show."

It occurred to Zane too late that he should have taken the opportunity to scribble all over Terry's face when he was passed out and the idea only struck him when the dude woke up.
Well it was probably for the best.
"Huh? Oh nothing to worry about--" Zane cut off watching in horror as the tower toppled and he was struck with a dart before fading into black.

It was Terry's turn to watch his opponent? co-player? Mr. Architect take a dart and visit nap-town. After the allotted time passed, he spoke the words to reset the tower and used this opportunity to catch up on his lost turn.

Zane had woken and risen for all of thirty seconds before another dart pegged him and he collapse. In that time he had been able to woozily try to move a tile and fail.
He hadn't even comprehended anything Terry said.

Terry winced as Zane felled the tower a second time. After the system rebuilt the jenga structure, the life traine debated waiting for the other man to catch up. But he reminded himself that he had a shield. He was support. And what better way to be a source of support than by being able to focus on said providing support?
Basically it was just Terry rationalizing why he continued to the next round, which should mean he'd finished the course. "You can do this, Mr. Architect. Perhaps I can call you Neo instead? That might trick the Matrix into working."Status Round: 4Pieces Taken: 1 Total Points: 50

Waking up from this was disorienting, a low moan as he rubbed his neck where both of the darts had caught him. "You can call me whatever, I don't mind T-man." He mumbled, trying to shake the haze from his head.
Terry swooped in with a clean move that had him hitting the 50 point mark and while he was annoyed because he'd been so close he was impressed.
For the heck of it, he made a final attempt and the tower crumbled. "Son of a bis---" he started before the dart hit him and he was out, this time for much longer.
Maybe it was time to call it quits when he woke.

"Oof, should I have gone with calling you Trinity?" the life trainee cringed, "Or..." maybe he should go for a different franchise. "Keep at it, I shall witness you and you shall emerge all shiny and chrome." There ought to have been more enthusiasm there but this was Terry and he was not fully comfortable with Zane enough to actually bust out the emotions that he could not fully control.

It took a lot longer to wake this time around with Zane's head feeling like he had taken NyQuil too early in the day and had managed to knock his a** out. Surprisingly he found that Terry was still sitting across from him and he smiled lazily at his companion.
T-man was turning out to be a pretty stellar guy for all of his lack of expression.
"Shiny and chrome huh?" He looked at the table and tried the word again but it didn't reset. Pinching the bridge of his nose he exhaled slowly. "Guess I gotta start over, balls."

True to his word, Terry did not in any way mess with Zane despite the repeated urging of the other Life techs watching them. He wasn't going to leave until Zane succeeded but when it became clear the tiles weren't reforming, Terry frowned. "That sucks. If you want someone to keep you company, and ensure your face remains unmolested, I'm your man."

The idea of having to start over made Zane want to outright bail but Terry was being a true bro and offering to keep him company and also promising that no one would write on his face. That was a pretty cool thing to do.
"If you're sure T-man." He shrugged and when the tower was rebuilt properly he worked on pulling out a tile and setting it back on top. At least the beginning would be easy.
"I appreciate the company," he paused, looking up and offering the flash of a smile, "and encouragement." He probably needed it.

With some semi-intense concentration, Zane worked hard to get through the first round with some ease. Okay, okay. He just needed to get through the rest without ******** up. He could do this.
