Akio was pulling her in closer and she couldn't help the way she smiled in return.
The way he looked at her never failed to make her flush lightly, warmth coiling around her heart and spreading through her veins like wildfire. It was hard to understand why he looked at her like she was everything he could have ever wanted, because it was new and foreign and...like so much else, overwhelming. Obsidian looked at her in a different way that made the butterflies in her stomach twist. Oberon...it didn't matter how he looked at her, they stood on opposite sides and that screamed bad idea worse than her desire to kiss Seal's Eye did.
None of them mattered however, because she had a wonderful boy, who held onto her like he never wanted to let go and who looked at her like she could hang the stars in the sky around the moon.
"Okay," she managed before he pressed his lips to hers and she grinned into the kiss, laughing when he moved and pecked her nose. "I'm - I'm lucky to have you too, Akio." Shyly, she dipped her head and pressed a gentle kiss to his neck, then his cheek before she got too flustered.

He remained still as she administered her own set of kisses, allowing her full control of the situation as she took her time planting one, then two kisses against him. Aurora seemed almost hesitant with her words - did she really mean it? Could it be possible that she felt equally as lucky as he did... or was she simply saying that because she knew it was what he wanted to hear? ... or did it really matter? He had her in his arms and she was willing to stay, so what was the point in questioning any of it? Aurora was his girlfriend and he wasn't going to let a day pass without letting her know how much of an impact she had on his life. Even if it meant giving the bad news to Hydra, another ominous feeling encroaching over the horizon. But that was another problem for another day. Another... rapidly approaching day, if his memory served correct. Snuggling against his short girlfriend, he draped both arms around her and finally, finally moved to pay attention to the Netflix feature still playing across the screen. Giving a half-laugh, he asked, "So should we bother starting the movie over again?"

Insecurity got the better of her from time time and his sudden stillness as she gave him kisses had her worried, but she vocalized none of it, not wanting to confuse him again. She was here, she was with him and that was all that mattered at the end of the day.
She could deal with her little feeling problem later. It was something for another day and Rory was determined to be present for Akio.
Shifting in his lap so her legs draped over both of his, heels pressing into the couch cushion. He snuggled into her so she snuggled back, the line of her nose pressing against the base of his throat.
"If that requires you moving, then no." Moana had taken off on her sea adventure and Maui was mid-solo. You're welcome! booming in the background.
"You're not gonna pay much attention anyway." There was no reason for him to pay attention to the movie when his girlfriend was in his lap after all.

"Nope, no plans on moving for the next..." He glanced at his wrist, which bore no watch. It didn't matter - he wasn't paying attention to the time anyhow. "... forever. Or at least not until you move first, beautiful." The music was playing in the background, a nice upbeat tune that, had he been alone in the room, Akio might have found himself humming along to. But, amusing enough, Aurora hadn't been wrong with her statement: he didn't pay attention to anything else when she was in the room, much less in his lap. Fingers began to play with whatever they brushed against, be it her skin, her top or long strands of wayward turquoise hair as he bent his head down to nuzzle her gently. "Speaking of jobs...." His tone was soft, a smile playing across his face, "I may have gotten one of my own..."

Her boyfriend was ridiculous, completely and utterly ridiculous, but Rory adored every ounce of it.
"Looks like we'll be stuck here for a minute then," she replied. Her lips brushed against his throat when she pulled back to look at him, struggling not to shiver from the way he touched her. Everything felt a little amplified now that he'd openly said I want you.
She had known, how could she not know - Akio was older, they'd discussed that yeah he had experience... - but hearing it out-loud still made her flush.
Once again, her head titled as he nuzzled into her only for her to pull back, palm pressing against his chest to push him back. "You got a job?" Her voice was quiet, surprised, but the wide grin was on her lips seconds later. "Where at?" It didn't really matter to her, as long as he was excited about the job. "Congratulations, Akio," she cooed, cupping his face and kissing him.

One hand moved up to take the hand that left his chest to cradle his face, tan fingers tugging her paler hand up towards his mouth as he pressed a single, gentle kiss along the backside. Her kisses were just like she was, both short and sweet with a happy warmth that seemed to linger in her wake, long after they'd left. Despite knowing how important it was for her to be respectful of her curfew and father's wishes, Akio couldn't help but secretly desire that one day - one day - they could at least fall asleep in each other's arm and doze the rest of the night away together. "It's in a building, not too far from this neighborhood," came the coy explanation as he pretended to act casual, despite the excitement swelling up within him at the knowledge that he'd found an actual real job for himself, "It's called... Knightside. You might have heard of it, maybe?"

Charming, that was the best word she could think of to describe her boyfriend. The fact that they'd met at a fancy dance and he'd whisked her away like a princess out of a fairytale didn't help that image either but she loved every ounce of it.
She hardly saw herself to be princess-like at all, but he appeared to see her in such a manner and maybe that was all that mattered.
"Where-- " she cut herself short, delight spreading across pale features as he told her the name. "The elementary school?" She had to ask, despite knowing there was no other Knightside. "Wait. Are you -" She squealed, arms thrown around his neck as she pressed her face into his shoulder.
"Are you going to be a teacher, Akio?" She could see him now, being so wonderful with the children and teaching in front of a class. "That's so wonderful, they're going to love you."

"Do you think so?" There was a hesitation in his voice, the older boy soon banishing the negative thoughts as he shook his head, laughing softly. "It's nothing huge, I mean... they were searching for a new music teacher and, well, I.." He shrugged and grinned, words failing him for once as the excitement took over. She was practically squealing in enthusiasm along with him, which only made her look all the more endearing in doing so. Wrapping his arms back around her, he could only sit back and grin as he held his Aurora Willows, snuggled and pressed against his chest as she cooed her approval. "They'll probably have to come up with a shorter name for me. I don't imagine Yoshida being easy for a six year old." Eyes looked to the ceiling as he thought about options. "Mr. Akio? Do you think that's too tough for them to pronounce?"

"Of course I do, Akio," Rory reassured him, shifting in his lap so that she wasn't sitting on his leg but instead had her knees on either side of his hips. The position wasn't common for them, but Rory wanted to be able to have a tiny bit of an advantage when it came to giving him a congratulatory kiss. With her hands on either side of his face, she tipped his chin up and pressed her lips against his.
For once, she didn't pull back immediately, instead pushing into the kiss and letting her spark of bravery guide her as she parted lips and deepened the kiss.
"I'm proud of you, okay?" And she was, overjoyed that he was excited and had gotten such an incredible job. More brownie points to shove at pops later. "Not too hard they can't learn. Mr. Akio, my handsome teacher boyfriend." She liked the way it sounded and let herself kiss him one more time.

His grin grew even wider as she pulled away from the kiss. Her handsome teacher boyfriend. Akio could surely get used to that title, especially if it made her smile like it did at that very moment. He would do anything to earn that smile, much less the sweet kisses she continued to bless him with. "You'll have to help me pick out a few outfits that look appropriate for the position - I'm not sure how an elementary school teacher in the States dresses." Probably similar to what elementary school teachers wore in Japan.... but then how else could he fabricate an excuse to spend even more time with his girlfriend? One hand rose up to brush loose wisps of hair behind her ear, fingers lingering on the soft skin as he allowed his gaze to wander towards the side of her face. Aurora's sweetness was still on his lips and he resisted the urge to pull up and demand more - Akio couldn't trust himself not to get lost in those perfect lips of hers. "I probably need to wear ties, even, to look professional."

Green eyes fluttered closed when his fingers grazed her cheek, hair pushed back as it began to fall out of it's braid from the way he kept playing with the strands. Rory didn't mind, Akio was always fascinated by her hair - lots of people were, actually - and it wasn't like she couldn't rebraid it later.
"Okay," she replied, leaning in so their noses brushed. "I have an early shift Thursday," She wasn't supposed to meet with Bazzi or Sealie that night, so she could give him the afternoon and the evening, which she knew he would love.
"Come by the cafe and we can go after work." Assuming he didn't have anything going on, anyway. Or, at least, that he'd put her first.
"You're going to look so handsome, Akio," she cooed, already picturing him dressed up with a tie - no, bowtie. "We'll make it a date, okay?" With that matter taken care of, Rory allowed them both to be distracted by the next kiss she gave him, movie mostly forgotten in the background.
