Maebe paused in her collection and looked at one of the pieces, when Tanita exclaimed her worry. Infect her? Poison her? How absolutely delightful! She poked and prodded at her tummy, where the shards had all settled and were jingling around harmlessly.
"Will you poison me, little shards? Maybe I will poison you, first."
It was clear that Maebe was not worried about any side effects. She was already unstable enough on her own.
Elaia's shout sounded so hopeful, and Maebe almost considered faking insanity just to give her a chance at winning the pot.. but it sounded exhausting. So she simply went back to scavenging, instead.

Robert forgot to put his phone down, when he flew to the crystal this time. He felt it buzzing and it surprised him, making him almost drop it as he scrambles to turn it on. Collect the broken pieces before they fall? He stared at the text in wonder. How could he collect a broken piece of something, if it hadn't fallen yet? It wouldn't be broken! Still, he would keep an eye out for any pieces that looked loose, or dangerous. That would be helpful, certainly!

He kissed Mimsy's forehead, which was the only thing that distracted him from Nine challenging him and zooming by. His eyes widened, then narrowed.
"OH NO YOU DON'T MOM!" He roared, wrapping an arm around Mimsy to keep her steady as he beat his wings harder, trying his best to catch up. His cackles faded into the distance as he got closer and closer to the crystal. Oops, forgot to close his eyes. So shiny.
Another war horsemen dived from the sky, narrowly missing the other fliers as he checked his phone in mid air before slipping it back into his loincloth.
"Are you busy being stupid again?!" Darkjay shouted, wings flaring to break the dive and slow into a easy glide, flying a little behind the main party. He wasn't about to mention he was tempted to touch the crystal too. Just to piss people off. (Read: Yuki. Plus he doubted touching it would do anything because if all it took to break it was Robert doing the dumb they would of been screwed ages ago)

Chao had been meaning to check out the crystal for a while now, but being a Conquest Horseman she lacked wings. Which had resulted in her debating if using some of her arrows as grappling hook and climbing up the tower was a possibility.
She decided it was best to scope out the area first. On her way outside to where the crystal was she heard a loud crash which caused her to hurry, if something was happening she wanted to see. When she arrived she found the scene to be utter chaos, war horsemen where in the air, one looked covered in pixi dust, on the ground near here there was arguing and even worse, a large chuck of the crystal was laying on the ground. It had clearly fall off and shattered, small shards where everywhere. It was tempting to go gather them, but it was probably best if they let the heirs clean it up?
..Was that death horseman eating it? Chao felt like that was a bad idea, how would they put the crystal back together if part of it was in someone’s stomach. "What happened?" She asked the others curiously, had one of the war horsemen broken the crystal? It didn't seem like they were high enough to touch it yet, but they could have dived down before she got there. Still she had wanted to take a look at the crystal, and part of it laying on the ground was perfect for her to inspect.

Maebe's response left Tanita looking stunned with disbelief, and confusion. After a long moment of consideration, she finally said "How... exactly would you poison a crystal? I mean, it's not alive, so... I just don't understand how it could even begin to be possible." The way the other's belly jingled when patted made Tanita twitch, because this just was... beyond odd, and more then a little disturbing.
Robert's response, at least, had her sighing with relief. The last thing she wanted was another hunk of crystal coming down. Next time, it might land near a child or something. She beamed upwards, then looked back down when she heard another voice nearby. Ahhhhh, a fellow Conquest member, thought not some one she knew. She moved over to the unknown, and said "It fell. No, they didn't touch it, so it wasn't them. It just fell. All on it's own." She shook her head slowly, and stared down at the shards. "I think it needs to be removed. If it's breaking, it's a danger to everyone here in the Dusk, don't you think?"
She found herself looking back up at it, her eyes drawn to the damaged rock, her face going blank as she studied it, unable to stop the worried thought spirals from starting again. Part of her, behind the spiraling thoughts, found herself wondering if, in fact, she was just going utterly and completely insane. Wasn't the definition doing the same thing and expecting different results? Yet here she was, staring at it again, thinking about it again, and getting caught up in her worries. Again.

Chao frowned as the other Conquest told her that the crystal had just fallen. If it was falling apart does that mean they need to gather fear faster? Can they even fix it? “But if it’s removed will we have power?” The crystal was what stored all the fear that ran everyone, if it was removed they might have another black out. Was the problem worse than the heirs knew? But it would be safer if it wasn’t falling. “Maybe we could put a net under it across the building so that the large shards won’t fall on people?”
Still she had come out to inspect the crystal, as worrying as this new development was she was curious about what had caused it to break, was it the lack of fear or something else. She moved closer to the broken shard, finding a decent sized pieced she slipped it into a hidden pocket. She’d do some tests on it when she got back, maybe find someone who has a better science background to help her. She picked up a few other shards in her hand and moved back towards the other conquest horseman.
Chao was partly worried that the famine girl would try to eat the crystals out of her hand, not to mention being unnerved by the clinking in her stomach. She held one of the crystals up to the light trying to see if she could see anything in it.

The crowd was growing just a little larger, the large bulk of the crystal was getting some interesting action from those able to near it with their mighty wings. For a split second Elaia was a little jealous but her attention turned back to the large piece that still lay upon the street. And the growing number near that one.
Someone was talking about poison and the small Guardian leaned just a little bit closer. Maybe that could be something too! Even if it wasn't the cool scenario that she envisioned. Intrigue got the best of her - along with a few messages that blipped on her phone from a couple of awesome friends - and she hopped right over whatever she had been standing behind to get herself close to what littered on the ground. Before Maebe ate them all and the other mare decided to take the rest.
Rayu wanted some pieces as it was, according to his message, and Terr was indecisive which to Elaia meant a yes. He would be so pleased she took the initiative and brought him some! Besides, they might be fun to have herself. So, a plucking she went, taking just a few pieces here and there of interesting shapes. "Aa, this one looks like a kidney! Hehe ~"
