Tytus walked around the net and studied the two tailed creature, "Don't worry we're not here to hurt you." He commented as he tried to stare up into the net with a smile. His kind words, however, were met with a series of hisses and screeches as the feline tried to claw its way through the net, "Okay then. So making friends may not be so easy after all." Inna rubbed up against his leg defensively as she made a face at the rude creature for snarling at her tamer.
The Oban pursed his lips thoughtfully as he paced around the net. He didn't want to traumatize the loatoa, but at the same time he wasn't certain how to approach it. Most of what he tamed were animals that he could ride. Xaraans could try to kick him off and Janarims could try to rip his head off, but a loatoa? It was a mystery. Tytus frowned before glancing at Koril, "What do you think? Give it time to wear down or do we let it down and try to befriend it like that?" Truly he didn't like just leaving the creature hanging either...it really wasn't his style.
"It would be crazy to let it down now and just hope it doesn't run, right?"

Koril couldn't help giving the frustrated loatoa a sympathetic look. It must be scared... Yet, he didn't want his face to be gnawed upon, either. "Maybe we should let it tire down just a little bit. Try to show we're not going to harm it while it's sitting there?" Picking up a piece of the bait, he stuck it with a stick, and raised it in offering to the creature slowly. "Sorry for tricking you. Would you still like this?"
Flana snorted and sat at Koril's side, head cocked curiously. 16

"You think that may work?" Tytus tilted his head thoughtfully, "I'll give you a few moments to try that before I let her down...I think it's a her?" The Oban chuckled, "Either way we'll let her run some energy in that net and then I can try to grab her once we drop it." He shook his head, "It's just frustrating that I can't ride her like a Xaraan. I do best with mounts, not more uh predatory familiars."
Blinking he watched as the loatoa sniffed at the offering before swiping it with her claws, "Seems like no matter what food always wins." Teased Tytus lightly, "Though I'm afraid to her we can be potential food as well."

Koril smiled brightly when the food was accepted. "Food is something everyone understands," he cooed, bending to pick up another piece of the bait. "I met a xaraan before. They're real nice." Once the critter had finished the first piece, he extended the second one up. "We'll find out if it's a boy or a girl once it's calmed down. I bet it's like everything else and gets sleepy after eating."

Tytus chuckled, "I can't argue against that." He watched as the loatoa began to chow down, "I suppose that means it'll be easier to catch since it'll have a full stomach." The Oban studied the creature thoughtfully, "I think we're almost there...once you're ready Koril we can let it down and I can try to catch it." As he spoke Tytus moved forward so that he could get a good grip on the rope. All he had to do was cut it and the loatoa would be down. Glancing towards his zanteer the Oban grinned, "Inna, go?" The zanteer seemingly understanding the man darted around his legs so that she could be around where the net would drop.
"This may seem crazy but don't mind me." Quipped Tytus towards Koril, "Just if I miss this grab this Inna will try to chase the loatoa down." The apprentice grinned, "What a better way to tame a loatoa than hugging one?" He took a deep breath and braced himself, "Actually...can you cut the ropes?" He held out a knife towards Koril, "That way when you drop the net I can immediately try to grab this feisty creature."

Smiling up at the creature as it ate, Koril felt a little better. "I hope it can see we're nice, now" he murmured. Looking back at the rope, he gave a small smile and nodded. "I'll try to drop it slow. Going to fast would probably scare it." Just as he said, he grabbed the knife and clambered back up the tree to reach where the ropes gathered. "Stand over here. I'll cut these ones first," he called, carefully cutting the thick threads. Open up one side, and the laotoa would have fewer options for getting away.

As Koril cut the ropes Tytus ran forward. As the loatoa flailed in the ropes that were still wrapped around it the Oban reached out so that he could try to get a good hold of the creature. Oh the fur was so soft! Not the best time to be thinking about that. He should rather focus on the teeth and claws. Wincing as his arm got a nice new cut, Tytus finally managed to scoop the wiggling creature up into his arms. At least the netting would help with it as he tried to keep the netting around the body.
"Shhh, shhh. We aren't going to hurt you." He whispered as he sank slowly to the ground with the loatoa in his arms, "Koril can you bring some food over? I want to try to make a harness out of this netting and still let the loatoa have some food. Hopefully it'll stay calmer that way." He was lucky now that the creature seemed so exhausted and full from food. It definitely was nap time - if not for the creature then perhaps for him since he was beginning to feel the strain from his trip finally.

Cutting the remaining ropes, Koril scurried back down and grabbed up another bite. This time, he approached slowly and held it out with his hand. "Hi there," he crooned, wiggling with delight within his own skin. It was almost as cute as Flana! "Want another bite? Oh, Tytus! Your arm!"

Tytus shrugged off the injury, "I can fix it up later. It's really not that bad." He admitted sheepishly as he sat there. Then the loatoa sniffed at the food it seemed to relax more and more in the Oban's lap. Letting out a sigh of relief Tytus slowly worked on fixing the ropes around the creature's body, "What do you think? Not so bad, right?" He glanced up towards Koril with a grin, "I guess not even a loatoa can complain about a free meal." The apprentice did glance around with a slight frown. It did seem like a shame to take such a beautiful creature from its home.
"My employer would maul me if he knew that I let it go....but I feel bad." He admitted sheepishly to Koril, "Sheesh."

With the critter calming down, he dared to reach and gently pet its head. So soft! So cute! "This is wonderful!" he murmured, leaning back onto his butt. The sheepish words made his brow rise, and he looked at Tytus with a knowing smile. It sure didn't seem right... "Your secret will be safe with me~"

Tytus could only shake his heads as he began to cut the ropes away from the creature, " Welp, I suppose I can always begin in the market. Might as well give something already captured a good home, eh?" He grinned as the loatoa darted away as soon as freedom was given to it, " Okay, bye~" Brushing dirt from his pants Tytus stood and smiled to the hybrid, " Thanks for all the help today, Koril." The oban saluted him before whistling so that his zanteer would join him, " I would offer lunch if I wasn't on a time limit, but maybe next time we meet I'll owe you a drink or something. See ya~" And with that the apprentice was off.
