Strife, upon hearing the bar opening, let out a sigh. He could wait another hour to drink his favorite drink. He couldn't get drunk like a human but he could sure taste the drinks. Artemis smiled and crossed his arms a little. "The portals are almost always open. They do close every now and then, but it's usually only for short periods." He was a little surprised when Shaline took his hand, looking down a little. "That would be nice Shaline. And once Rayne is free, I'd like to take him there as well. He would like to go somewhere he wasn't forced to. It would be a change of scenery for him. I'd love to go."
Felicity nodded and brought him more coffee before handing Jiro's order to another waitress that was headed to place another order in and headed over to the table with Shaline."Sorry for the wait you two. Can I get you anything to drink? And are you both ready to order?"Felicity smiled down to the two. She noticed the quick removal of Shaline's hand from the young man's she was with.

Artemis snapped out of his daze once Shaline pulled her hand away. He wasn't sure about falling in love again. Shadira completely shattered his love life and he didn't know if he could trust anyone. Could he really trust someone enough to fall in love? He glanced at the waitress and nodded. "I'll just have water and tomato soup." After that he went silent, thinking about all the things that Rayne would be able to do. Artemis could be the father he never got to be. Perhaps if he was stronger, he could have saved his son.
Felicity smiled and nodded."Alright. And this meal is on me. I owe Shaline one. Without her, my restaurant dream wouldn't exist."Felicity looked over to Shaline."Would you like some sides and salad?"She waited for Shaline's response before nodding and heading off into the kitchen to work on the orders. She finished the Caesar Salad first while one of her Sous Chefs started working on the Alligator Salad. She headed over to Jiro and sat the plate of salad in front of him."Your Caesar Salad. Your Tuna Miq'abobs are on the grill as we speak."

Shaline looked at the sides and the salads."Alligator Salad with extra Alligator Pears."Shaline watched as Felicity left. She looked over to Artemis who seemed to be in his own little world. She felt like she must of have said something wrong."Did I say something that didn't sit right with you?"Shaline asked, her ears down and back. She felt bad if she did. Shaline was still quite new to common life. Even though she had been in the common world for quite some time, it was still an adjustment that still was taking place. There were still things that she wasn't used to either, like love and being with someone that wasn't a travel partner.

Artemis snapped out of his thoughts and turned his attention back to Shaline. "I was just thinking about something. Shadira was my first love. After everything that she's done, I've been afraid. And I was also thinking about everything I could do with Rayne. Once he is free, I can be the father I never got to be. He deserves a real father." What else could he say really? Rayne was the only reason he kept on living. Artemis always believed that he could save his son. And now, he felt like nothing could stop him.

As the others talked together, apparently they all knew each other, Jiro was just sitting back and pretty much being bored by now as he waited for his food. But he definitely looked forward to the order he placed. It was strange yet slightly calming for him to know that it was known here. With that portal pretty much causing him to black out, he never saw how he ended up in this strange world. Yet the specific meals and even an elezen and fellow miqo'te helped with not feeling to far away. When his salad was brought, Jiro looked up and smiled before nodding. "Thank you, Lady Felicity." he said. It didn't bother him that he had to wait a bit longer. The feline knew that he would get a good meal in exchange for the patient wait. Until it was done, he would enjoy the salad as an appetizer.
Strife listened and drank his coffee. "You don't need to be the one they deserve, just the one that is there. I've been around for a very long time, no father is ever perfect at it. Each one makes mistakes and fails." Finishing his second pot he sighed a little. He looked to Artemis. "And some portals remain permanently closed and for good reasons. Like you all should travel to the realm of the dead. It is not a place for mortals." He folded his arms and nodded a little. "Some places are closed for good reasons."
Felicity shook her head."Please, just Felicity. I'm not of noble birth."Felicity walked back to the kitchen and brought out Shaline's salad and the two's drinks, bringing an extra tea cup and the tea pot for Shaline's Coerthan Tea."Here is your water, sir, and your tea, Lady Shaline. The tea pot for you m'lady, an extra tea cup should you, good sir, would like to try the tea, no extra charge, not that it matters, and your Alligator salad with extra pears."She sat the things in front of them as she said what they were."Your soup and gratin are being made as we speak. We are using some Dzemael Tomatoes so the good sir can get a taste of Eorzean food."Felicity smiled and walked back to the kitchen.

He seemed very elegant to her and very...she couldn't think of the word, but she didn't even think about a relationship.

Artemis chose to ignore everything Strife said, keeping his gaze on Shaline. He wasn't about to let anyone or anything distract him from his mission. 'It doesn't matter what that guy thinks, I will always believe that Rayne deserves a father.' It wasn't long after that he took notice to Felicity. Smiling, he took a drink of water. When Shaline spoke, he looked down a little. "I haven't been able to go out with anyone in a long time. How could I trust anyone after what happened with Shadira? And I don't really have friends to go out with. This is actually the first time I've actually gone out since she put up the barriers. Just the thought of a relationship frightens me. It doesn't mean that I am completely against it. It would just take time to get back into it."

There was a man who looked almost like Rayne, just older. Riku tried to ask her what the matter was."Riky...that man over there....the one with the white hair. He looks like Rayne....or maybe Rayne looks like him."Ritsu looked to her brother who looked back to her and then she looked back to the man. When the waitress led them to a table, she stopped, as her brother kept walking, at the table where he sat with a....cat girl? He continued to stay quiet until the girl mentioned something about Rayne. Before he could say anything, he took notice to her brother. "No. It's fine. You've seen Rayne. Please. Tell me where he is. Is he alright?"

Shaline's ears took note of the girl's presence before she turned her gaze to meet the girl's. She was around her own age, maybe a little younger. "If you can tell us anything, we might be able to help him."Shaline looked over just as her brother tried to pull her away. She reached out, but the girl shook out of her brother's grip, grabbed a pen from her brother's pocket, and started writing on a napkin."You know you could just tell us anything. We both want to help him."When the girl handed the napkin over, she looked weirdly at the numbers written on the back of the napkin. It was like some sort of code. She waited until the girl had ran off to the table she was supposed to be sitting at before she lowered her voice."Um....Artemis?? I know there are still things I have to learn, and I hate to feel like a pest for this, but why are these numbers in this configuration on the back? Is it some sort of code?"Shaline picked up the napkin and turned it in circles in the air as she looked at the numbers. She had seen numbers before, but this configuration was new to her. Her ears were perked forward slightly as her tail wagged beside her.

Ritsu's face lit up when the man spoke about Rayne. She only got to nod her head when her brother started to pull her away with a venom in his voice saying that she shouldn't trust them just because he looks like Rayne."Riku, if you were looking for me, you would gather as much information as you can from anyone. They are the same...now back off."Ritsu pulled her arm away and didn't usually speak like that, but when she did, Riku usually looked pained in the face, as he did now. She hated talking to him like that, but he did tend to become over protective at times. She then looked around and then grabbed a napkin and her brother's pen and started writing down something on it. It read:"Rayne is ok. He said he is still living in this dark place. I would like to tell you more. Call me......"She then flipped the napkin over and wrote her phone number. She then moved the napkin towards the center and ran to her table, meeting her brother there who had walked off and still looked hurt."Riku, I'm sorry, but why else would he look like Rayne. That could be his father you know?"

Artemis watched as the twins walked off, taking notice to what the girl was writing. Upon seeing Shaline's reaction, he couldn't help but chuckle a little. There was a chance that there were no phones where she was from. "It's called a phone number. A phone is a way of communicating, usually across great distances. And when you get a phone, you get a numbers with it. When the numbers are put in, the phones calls whoever the number belongs to." He then pulled out his phone and set it on the table. "There are many different types of phones."
