"Yes but I spent so much time last night talking about my fish you can't really want to hear more about them." There was still a bit of a smile on his lips even though most of it had faded. He wanted Arlen to enjoy himself and didn't want to make the knight only see and do things that he enjoyed. "There's plenty more garden to see as well if you'd like to spend some more time in the sun." Arlen had looked so happy when he'd seen the sunlight. Arsinoe had to be so different from his home, dark, it was probably refreshing to see the light again.

"I might not be as interested in the fish as you are, but that doesn't mean I don't find them fascinating and it doesn't mean I don't enjoy listening to you... To you talking about them, that is." The longer they spent out in the garden and the sunlight the harder it was going to be to keep himself proper and follow the strict Arsinoean rules. "Let's go see the fish and then we'll spend a bit more time out of the light."

"My voice can't be that interesting to listen to." He laughed softly as he made his way through the garden. There were flowers of every color along the way and trees meant to give shade to anyone who wanted to spend a bit of extra time in the garden. He knew plenty of couples came to spend time together, had seen them walking, and he wished for a moment that he dated take Arin's hand. "Perhaps you'd like to see the vaults after? It's down under the library where we keep all of the older more delicate books."

"Mm... Do they serve lunch here at the Archives? Or will we have to wander elsewhere to find food at some point?" It hadn't been too long since breakfast, but he figured the question was at least worth asking for when it was time. That might make the difference in just how far down into the archives they went. "Fish first. You said you were going to show me the breeding grounds," he insisted stepping close enough that he was just shy of brushing his shoulder against the other man's in a gentle nudge.

"No but there are a couple of restaurants near by where we can get something so we shouldn't have to worry about lunch. Sometimes they do bring lunch in but that's usually when a large project is going on." When no one was likely to actually remember to get up and get food. The koi breeding ponds were though an archway. The artificial sunlight still spilled into the room but didn't extend all the way in. The area was full of ponds and rivers and there were a few people wandering about checking on the fish. He stopped one to let them know he was there before leading Arin over to one of the larger ponds. "These ones are about a month old. Old enough we know they'll survive but not quite big enough to join the others."

"Wouldn't want any of the larger ones thinking that the little guys here are snacks?" His brow lofted as he leaned over the pond to catch a glimpse at the smaller fish swimming over each other. "Too small to know that you're going to spoil them once they're larger? Or have they caught on to that about you already, Sailor Arsinoe?"

He nodded at the first question, watching the little fish swim around. "They're a little small to know that someone might spoil them eventually but ..." He pointed out a small white koi with orange and black speckles. "I think when that one is big enough to not worry about the larger fish I'm going to move it to my pond. And they're breeding two of the older white ones so I am hoping I can get another solid white one." Some of the white ones were almost iridescent and having one in his pond would at least remind him of Arlen.

"It sounds like you have everything plotted out for your little friends, then." He smiled, drawing his gaze away from the surface of the pond to look at the Senshi of Lanterns again. "It's good to know you don't spend all of your time here alone, Sailor Arsinoe."

"I'm not entirely sure fish count." Even if he loved them dearly and thought of them as his friends they there was only so much they could do. "But when I am working here I'm just another scribe to some not Sailor Arsinoe." The other scribes weren't completely friendly, there were still some lines they wouldn't cross, but it was better. "And I do get to look forward to friends visiting a bit more." He smiled as he looked over at Arlen.

"You do." He nodded slowly, reaching out to lightly brush his fingers along the cuff of the other man's robe before stepping back to put space back between them. Space was proper. Space was safe. Space meant that he wasn't unintentionally crossing any sort of boundaries that could potentially get he, or his host, in trouble. "Shall we continue with our tour?"

"Of course." He squashed the idea of taking Arkebs hand. The brush against his sleeve was appreciated but he wanted more. He wanted things he couldn't have. "We have a bit of time to explore the vault before lunch. It's usually quiet down there as well." They might be the only ones down there. Perhaps he would be lucky and they could have a bit more time away from prying eyes.

He followed the other man's lead as they left the garden, keeping his distance along the way. He hadn't thought it would actually be that difficult to keep space between himself and anyone else. Then again, he'd never had anyone that he felt that drawn to either. "So... What makes this your second favorite place in the Archives, Sailor Arsinoe?"

"The quiet and all the books. All the books and scrolls down here are original copies. Some of them are so old they're practically fossilized. There's ones from civilizations that we lost and we can't even read them." It was like being in another world for him. He lead Arlen down a stone staircase and into the cool underground hallways of the Vault. "Plus .... Very few scribes come down here. Some aren't even allowed. So its quiet and I don't have to be So careful."

"Things that rare and special down here and you really let others wonder down?" His brow lofted as he glanced around while following after the other man, fingers lightly resting on the stone wall of the stairwell. He could feel the air changing as they descended, curious as to what sort of precautions the Arsinoeans had taken to keep this area well protected and preserved compared to elsewhere in the Archives. "Do you generally bring company with you when you come down here? Or are you often coming to escape?"

"We don't just let anyone wander down here, you have to have special permission." He smiled as he paused by a door, pulling a key out of a pocket hidden in his obi before unlocking the door. "You get special permission because you're with me." He smiled as he pushed the door open and held it open for Arlen to go inside. The air down in the Vault was colder than outside, kept that way to preserve the books as best they could. There was also a slight breeze from the ventilation meant to keep the air fresh and clean. "Usually I come down here to be alone but I wanted to show you." That was at least a better answer than saying he wanted to be alone with Arlen.
