Cleric continued from Southern Downtown. His habit was expensive, but now it was necessary for him to function. The withdrawals were killer. For now, until more Black Gate contracts came into New Brockton, he'd have to resort to petty crime like this. Robbing gas stations every once in awhile would keep him afloat, add that to his monthly pay, and he'd be able to keep an apartment and food on the table. He hated himself for thinking it, but since his sister had died, things had been cheaper and easier. He didn't have to take care of anyone but himself. He himself didn't eat much, a nasty side effect of his habits, but it was whatever. He'd make it.
Cleric could see the gas station he'd plan to clean now. It was only a few blocks away, and not busy at all. The sun had set as he was walking from South Downtown, that'd give him a little cover to escape with, for which Cleric was grateful. He hadn't quite planned how he was gonna get out once he had the money, but that was an issue for later, after he had the money. He approached the gas station, guns in his coat, at easy reach. As he walked into the station the metal detector chimed. The guy behind the counter gave him a suspicious look, cleric pulled a set of keys and jingled them with a small laugh.
"Sorry, forgot I even had these""It's fine, just gotta make sure you're clean""Oh, I completely understand, no worries my friendCleric continued through the gas station, browsed the aisles, grabbed some beef jerky and a Gatorade, then went to the register. The poor cashier, only a little older than Cleric himself, rang him up, but didn't have any idea what was about to happen. When the guy looked down at the register to give him change, Cleric slipped his mask on and pulled his guns. When the cashier looked back, he froze.
"You didn't get a good look at my face, right?""Nu-No, no I didn't""Well, ain't you just lucky, I need all the money in the register, real quick like?""y-yes yes The cashier's hands shook as he stuffed a bag full of money
"And you understand, you put your hands anywhere where I can't see em, imma put a hole in you, right?""y-y-yes, yes I understand" The cashier finished moving the money, and handed it over to Cleric.
"Alright, now I'm just gonna be on my way. You have a good night, you hear?"Cleric kept the man at gunpoint until his back was against the door. In a swift motion, he turned and made his exit.
