Incanthis seemed to be considering Abie's words. To work with more of the whelps then just the one that he'd accidentally stolen would make him feel a lot less like a free loader as far as Abie's journey north went. He wanted to be useful to him, to show that while there was a lot that still scared him that he could still be useful. To work with the whelps, to tend to any injuries that they might get and not just those of Junior... it felt like a good step forward toward being seen as far more useful to Abie. "I would need to visit with them a bit more often then. It's easy to work with Junior because he's followed me since he was just a teeny little thing. They might trust me as a friend but as a healer it's more difficult. They can be... ornery when they aren't feeling good or are hurting. Even Junior can get a bit huffy at times if he's got an injury that really pains him." People and beasts were sort of the same in that aspect at least.

Abie nodded. "Of course! I think we can do that when we get back to the manor. That way I can get the new whelp settled." He felt happy. They had more of a goal now. More of a set path. "I know they'll be a good group for you. The girls adore you..." He looked up as they neared the breeders vending spot. Tapping on the bell set up to alert the breeder of a customer. He smiled brightly as the slender female skipped up to them. Waving them inside she guided them to a area where in a nice large basket was a clutch of about three. Abie blinked, reaching in to gently handle one who looked like their back leg was deformed. He looked up to her as she explained the mother rejected that one and the other, yet the ebony whelp didn't seem to want to let them out of its sight. He gently moved his hand to allow the other to scent him, seeing wide glazed over eyes. "Oh....your blind. Aren't you pretty. That's alright." He looked back to Incanthis. "The blue one seems to have a deformed back leg, this pretty little gold one is blind and ebony is greedy of both." he turned to the breeder. Asking what she would want for him to take all three. She waved him off saying that their deal was the ebony whelp. He glanced down to the other two. Then offered twice the price of the ebony. Her jaw dropped then she talked him down to a fourth of the price for a normal whelp. Abie agreed then paid her, smiling as he looked back to Incanthis. "Are you okay with this? I mean, their going to test our skills."

Incanthis gave a bit of a smile, hoping that Abie was right in all of what he was saying. It might be difficult to be a healer that worked with such large beasts, especially those that were more loyal to Abie, but he'd do his best. It would give him a more secure place after all, one that made him feel as though he weren't a burden to Abie and his family like he did now. It would be... nice. Something that was freeing in a way, as well as a relief. It would have to wait for now though since they still have much to do today before they headed for home. As they arrived at the breeder who lead them on to where they could look at the babies. Once there he patted Junior, getting the emerald whelp to still, before he sat down lightly upon the Snaptrotter who seemed only too pleased to stand in place of a chair of his favorite Earthling. He fell into silence as Abie went to work inspecting the whelps. They were here for an ebony one, a special color that it would seem would add to the project that Abie was working on as far as amazing whelps in the future went. Of course that plan seemed to go out the window as Abie set to inspecting the others in the basket and seemed to instantly want to bring them all home despite the defects. "Ahhh... Abie..." He opened his mouth, then shook his head, leaving him to what he was doing. It might be... well, kinder for Abie to take them in. One with a deformed leg and another who couldn't see, it was more then likely that given the defects and the pretty hides that the pair would end up as boots sooner then later if Abie didn't take them in. As he was asked about if it was alright he nodded, "Better you then some that might take in such... special whelps." He said, looking into the three little oddballs that Abie had purchased.

Abie chuckled as he left the breeders tent. Making sure the cover for the infants basket was on, lest someone saw his oddballs and wanted to take them. He hummed. A deep baritone that was soothing to the beasts, even if Abie had no idea how to sing or even compose a tune. It was a habit he picked up to sooth himself more than the whelps when he woke up from a nightmare. He looked over to Incanthis as they stopped at a safe stall. Sitting he uncovered the basket to look down at the whelps. "What do we name them? She said that neither of them were named yet since they were rejected." He had reached in to absently stroke the babies. The ebony whelp watching his hand warily, but the blind whelp jerkily bumped into it and Abie laid his hand over the whelp. Abie looked down, realizing that the tiny thing must have issues with body heat. Humming he looked back up to Incanthis. "You can reach in, just be slow and let them scent you first. We should come up with their names together!" He wanted to include his healer in these particular whelps lives. Being special cases they would need more than one caretaker. Speically the limp one. Abie could tell that that one was going to really try things, like it was already trying to escape the basket. He stared at it. "Not gunna work, buddy. Basket walls are too curved..."

Incanthis looked down into the basket, giving them a curious and thoughtful gaze before he said, "I think that they need names that are either lucky or affectionate." They were both a little on the broken side after all so they needed names that would show that they were loved despite that. That or something lucky that would show that they were just that, lucky that Abie had come along. He wondered if the younger male even knew what might have happened to them if he hadn't. He decided not to say it out loud since it wasn't very nice. Lifting a hand from Junior's back he did as he was told, lowering it into the basket so that the new trio of babies could sniff at his hand. As he did so he said, "They really are an interesting pair. Are they from the same clutch or different ones? Knowing their background is important, right?" Though he was sure that the two that weren't the ebony wouldn't have a chance to breed since there was a chance their issues could be passed down. One or two babies like them was alright, but more then that? He didn't think that was a very fair thing to do. It would be like Incanthis passing on his own genes, it wasn't something that should be done in his mind. As one of the whelps set to trying to escape he gave a grin, "This one is just like you when you were little, Junior. He's a little escape artist too despite his leg." He looked at Abie and said, "If I may?" With that he picked the baby up, looking him over, to get a look at the leg. He wondered if maybe a brace might be something they could do to help him? It wouldn't fix things but it would make walking easier? It was something to consider in the future though it would take a lot of work and a trip or two to a blacksmith to get such a thing put together, huh? After he was done studying the squirmy, wannabe escape artist, he put him back in the basket with his two buddies.

Abie chuckled as he looked around for a place for them to sit so he could figure out names. Ah, that could wait till they got back home. When they got closer to the manor he shifted the basket so that it was more between him and Incanthis. As he noticed the escape artist trying another daring antic. Though the whelp stopped when it saw Incanthis and gave Abie a wary look. The young male smirked. He had that one figured out already. The ebony whelp seemed to want to stay close to the blind whelp more than anything. That was good... As they got close he hummed. "I might need to rethink where the bigger whelps sleep tonight...unless you want to keep watch over the new whelps and we just trade weeks?" He would need more time now with the whelps added in. That and he felt Incanthis was worried about that sibling of his...he couldn't fault him. He figured his elder brother was long out of Oba by now...

Incanthis found himself keeping a close eye on the little ones inside the basket as they headed toward home. While the shape of the basket was such that it kept them from escaping he didn't put it passed them to somehow team up and figure out an escape plan. That wasn't something that they could allow when they were all quite young and two of them were a bit... different. It was up to them to keep a close eye on them to keep them from doing anything foolish. "Hm?" He found himself glancing at Abie for a moment as he spoke of rearranging sleeping quarters for the various snaptrotters now that they had three new ones to look after. There was always the chance that they might get squished in their sleep, not something that he wanted to see happen the poor little things. As he mentioned him looking after the new whelps he gave a little nod, "I might be able to so long as Junior is alright with it. Eh? Trade weeks? What do you mean?" He asked in a curious manner.

Abie chuckled. "I mean that you sleep and bond with them on week. Then I'll take them for the next. Once we set out, we'll just have them sleep with us and arrange for the bigger ones to sleep around us. Get them used to the idea of new additions." he explained as he opened the gates to the manor. "Sound like a good plan?" he asked. Perhaps the other had an idea for them.

"Ohhhh! I see... though couldn't we just..." His words seemed to trail off as his mouth seemed to catch up with his brain and almost instantly his cheeks were darkly flushed, "Oh... no, nevermind. Your plan sounds like a good one, we should do that." He nodded rapidly before he stepped closer to the basket so that he could turn his attention to the trio of new babies, watching them closely as one of them went about his repeated escape attempts while the ebony seemed to just be looking after its blind friend. "We should have them share a meal once they are a little bit bigger. Sharing food is always a good way to form bonds." He murmured, trying to keep conversation flowing after his earlier stammering.

Aibe paused as he caught what the other was about to say. "Couldn't we just...what? Just share a bed for a while? Well. Its not like it wouldn't be the first time right? I mean whenever I had nightmares I'd come to you." he smiled warmly. Making sure Incanthis had access to the basket as they entered into the grounds. Walking towards the other whelps. "I honestly don't mind making it a permanant thing, if you don't Incanthis. I won't push you to do something you don't want." he explained. Coming to a stop as Lithe got closer. He would spend pretty much the rest of the day getting the bigger whelps used to the tinier ones. While making sure Incanthis was as close as he could be.

Incanthis's cheeks seemed to darken even more as Abie voiced what he'd been thinking out loud back to him. It made it almost impossible for him to actually lift his gaze toward the other. He knew that it was just for the whelps that they would be sleeping together, right? It was an amiable thing... but was that all that Incanthis was wanting these days? It was kind of hard to say if only because things of that nature weren't exactly something he thought about a lot. "I... well, it wasn't just you... I mean you looked after me when I was having bad dreams too in the past." Most times being before Abie had given him Junior... partly because Junior kept escaping to Incanthis's room. A thought that had him patting the emerald beasts head, "I..." His cheeks darkened further, the flush spreading, before he said, "It's not that I don't want such things. I feel that I am... getting far more used to having you around and... being close and actually, you know, touching... it's not really scary anymore."

When Aibe set the basket down in a small amount of haste, Laqui and Lithe both jolted to make sure no whelp spilled out. Aibe turned to gently cup Incanthis' face. "Really?" The youth leaned in gently. Slowly. Kissing Incanthis fully for the first time. Then pulling away. "So....I can take this as slow as you want, but I can do that a little more often?" Laqui was a little rosy tinted when the two kissed. Glancing to a snickering Lithe as the smaller male nuzzled the escape artist back into the basket.

Incanthis gave a little jump as Abie was suddenly coming in close, cupping his cheek, and just as suddenly was kissing him. It was enough to stop him in his tracks completely before he squeaked out, "Ahh... y-yeah... I mean... there is no reason why you can't..." He didn't mind at all... though that didn't mean that he wasn't really flustered by it at the same time. While such things didn't scare him anymore where Abie was concerned he still found himself quite embarrassed by it all. Completely flushed he lifted a hand to soothe it through Abie's hair and said, "It's something that... I would like to consider trying. Well, if you don't think that your parents would be upset by it all that is." He didn't want to do anything that would displease the people that were kind enough to take them in... and he figured sharing a room with Abie permanently might do that.

Aibe chuckled. "No, trust me your fine...they already had a nice long talk with me. They appreciate that I want to take things slow. I don't know what happened to you with him, I won't claim to know. I honestly don't care if you never tell me. I just wanted to help get you to the point you can be you again...and I relish in the fact that I get to learn about you with every step we take." He smiled as he leaned into the others touch. "So. Don't be scared to ask things of me, Incanthis. Don't be worried that I'll judge you. We both have scars of different depths. I just want to see you for who you are...not what." He hummed. "Now, lets get our new whelps inside where we can figure out where they'll sleep. Between us. As for names...we'll figure those out in time."

Incanthis's cheeks went that much darker somehow as he was told that it was something that Abie had apparently already talked with his guardians about. What would cause that to come up in conversation? He wasn't quite sure but at least they didn't have anything to worry about... right? He hoped not at least. Shaking his head rapidly he said in a rather embarrassed tone, "I-I see... well that's good..." "I... umm... will keep this all in mind. Thank you, Abie." While he wasn't sure that he wanted to discuss the past with Abie straight away but knowing that he could was... nice. Something that would make it easier to talk with him when he felt ready or comfortable with the idea. At the mention of them getting the whelps inside he nodded, "Yeah, I'm sure they would like to be free of the basket so that they can roam about a bit. It's not good for them to stay so cooped up."
